I am the owner and managing attorney of Zazueta Law, PLLC. We’re a law firm specializing in business, real estate, contract disputes, and personal injury.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lab Coat Marketing?

I started my private practice, and I had no clue how to manage marketing, SEO, or public image.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lab Coat Marketing first discussed with me the importance of being consistent online. When I had first started my company, the format of my firm’s name was inconsistent. I listed it correctly in some places, but I mistakenly miswrote it in others. Hence, the team implemented the correct name on every law forum. They also made sure that my name and areas of practice were accurate. Additionally, they’ve helped me register my name and brand with various legal forums, such as Super Lawyers. They make sure those platforms are fully updated with my services to help us look like a comprehensive, legitimate law firm. 

Another deliverable was the creation of my website. Lab Coat Marketing specifically worked on optimizing it to help us get more organic leads. The team adds content to the site as well. We draft articles, which they edit to be SEO-friendly by adding keywords. They then publish to our website and third-party websites. We’ve since temporarily held off on publishing articles to help me keep up with the workload.

I work with Chris and Joe (Co-Founders), with the latter being my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Lab Coat Marketing?

I met Joe through an acquaintance. I spoke with Lab Coat Marketing, and we discussed my business and how we could work together.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in February 2020, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I took a risk in investing in marketing, and it’s paid off. Lab Coat Marketing’s lead generation and SEO efforts have led us to grow ever since we started working together. Every day, we have 2–4 organic leads who call our office. We’ve been consistently gaining more leads — I’m now at the point where I need to hire more staff because I can’t keep up with the amount of work they’ve brought in, which is an excellent problem to have. I’ve had to ask them to put a hold on working their magic because I need to hire more people to keep up with the work the team has brought in.

Furthermore, any nominal fees I pay Lab Coat Marketing are quickly outweighed by the earnings generated by my firm. If I sign even one or two clients per month, it’ll already pay for the money I’ve spent on marketing. Overall, it’s been great.

How did Lab Coat Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done a fantastic job on project management. We have monthly marketing updates where the team sends me a detailed report on the leads generated from different sources. They also talk about the traffic we’ve gained, so it’s pretty comprehensive. Then, we talk about any changes we can implement, and they give some recommendations. In terms of communication, it’s usually through email. The team is very available — if I suddenly call them up, they immediately respond.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with other marketing companies, and Lab Coat Marketing has been more reasonable in terms of rates and contracts. Their fees are highly competitive, and they’re not as punitive with their contracts compared to others. In addition, unlike bigger companies, the Lab Coat Marketing team is always available.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since they’ve only been in the industry for a short amount of time, they always try to be more innovative and different from other players that they overlook some of the basic principles. However, their ideas have worked for me — they just might not work for every client.

If you’re looking to grow your practice, Lab Coat Marketing is the team I’d recommend.
