What was the scope of their involvement?

The final platform offers about 18–20 services, including a payment module. We provide digital, protocol, and HR services for veterinarians, which they can access through this platform. Our goal is to free up their time, so they can spend it doctoring. We’re aiming to free up their staff time and provide them with savings on various services they need to run their business. Through our app and services, they can cut down on the time and effort they used to put toward purchasing, procurement, inventory, and more. 

The final app is web-based. Their team was responsible for putting together wireframes based on my concept. Knowing that my vision could be accomplished, I provided them with a visual of what I wanted. They developed the product based on that. After getting our feedback on their wireframes, they would transform them into actual designs.  

What is the team composition?

I have a dedicated contact who I deal with most regularly. Depending on which part of the project they’re working on, I collaborate with as many as 4–5 developers from their side. 

How did you come to work with Konstant Infosolutions?

We found them and 10–12 other service providers through online searches. Our team slowly whittled down our options based on their skills and capabilities. When we made our final decision, there were likely about 4–5 firms in contention.

They definitely weren’t the cheapest option but had experience doing a similar project for another organization in the health world. My level of confidence in their team was higher than it was with other potential providers.  

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $160,000–$170,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from March–December 2020. Since December, however, we’ve been in contact for ongoing work on the platform.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve enjoyed working with them, and it looks like their work is thorough. They’ve been clear on the best ways to pursue our vision while being honest about what we can and can’t achieve. Moving forward, we’re going to be joined at the hip to make this business work. They’ll be our trusted vendor for all things technical.   

At this point, the true results of the platform are undetermined. We couldn’t start our business until this platform was complete, so we haven’t truly used the system yet. We’ll see the results once we build up a sales force and launch our business.   

How did Konstant Infosolutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They moved through the project in a timely fashion, working to hurry up a job I needed faster than given estimates. In the end, most of the hold-up was on my end. They’re very thorough, so it can take a little longer than I’d like to complete some tasks. However, they’re the design experts and know how best to deliver these products. 

For the most part, they’re very timely. They’ve been very close in accuracy to meeting all of their timeline estimates. There were times we make suggestions that caused slight delays, but they kept the project pretty much in line with their timelines. We had weekly phone calls, and they were always quick to respond to us. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

My main contact has great command of the English language. We’ve been warned by other companies that we may have to overcome a language barrier in our collaboration. While we’ve had to make sure we communicated directions and requirements clearly, their ability to communicate effectively has been very helpful. That was a huge question mark I had starting the project, and I was impressed with them.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m not a very technical person, but I’ve had no qualms at all about the work they performed.

They created the entire website and mobile phone application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The app will be available on both iOS and Android platforms. What I am doing is completely original and new. It isn’t a copy of anybody, and nobody, to my knowledge, has done anything like what I am doing. They customized the solutions to my specifications. After they completed the app, they handled a testing phase and made changes to their work based on my feedback.

What is the team composition?

I worked with one person initially. She was a sales rep, and then I worked with the lead tech. I had two or three phone calls where we spoke to 2–3 members of the development team. They were all web designers, mobile app designers, and technicians. There five or six people that I worked with directly.

I did a Google search for people developing mobile applications and websites. I got a number of them and checked the reviews on each shop. Konstant seemed to have had the best reviews that spelled out that there was overall value.

We spent just over $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started with them in October 2019, and it launched in October 2020. I still have a couple of little things to the mobile app, but it has been launched.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It is hard to take what is in your mind and then put that into a program. The quality of work they provided is incredible. Despite everything that could have gone wrong, they were able to implement their own ideas into my idea to make sure that the functionality that I needed was there without it being at all distorted.

How did Konstant Infosolutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We never really discussed an actual deadline. The timing was never an issue for me. I am a perfectionist and they knew that from the beginning, so we went into the project knowing that we shouldn't rush it. They probably wanted to work faster than we did, but they were understanding and accommodating of the pace I wanted for the project.

We did a lot of Skype and Zoom meetings, and we also used email and phone. They did the wireframes through email. Then, we would get on a Zoom meeting and see the slides and make sure that we are all in agreement on the way it looks and performs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The customization is impressive. They made the solutions do exactly what I want them to do and were patient when addressing corrections. There were things that I told them to do in the beginning, and I had to backtrack and say I wanted it done differently and they were able to accommodate all of that without difficulty. 

They did exactly what I wanted. The most impressive thing about them is their ability to adjust to me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It is beyond their control, but our time zones are obviously different. There is really nothing they can do unless they were in the United States. I can’t think of anything I might want them to do differently or better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just be very clear on what your project is. For mobile application and web development, be very particular about what you ask them to do because they will do it exactly that way. Think about what you want to be done and how it is going to affect everything else.

We were looking to build an environmental sample platform for Android and iOS.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Konstant Infosolutions helped us design and build the mobile app, as well as the website backend. They used React Native for the mobile and PHP, HTML, and Java for the backend. The app allows environmental consultants in the field to record sample or environmental data on their phone or tablet and link it to the cloud.

The data is then immediately accessible to managers in our office. The tool also formats the field data into a report-ready Excel file so that users can put it onto their phone and have it be ready for deliverable reports instantaneously.

We have a project manager who is our primary contact. There are also teammates who do the React Native and web backend work.

We did an extensive search on Google and narrowed it down to five development firms. I solicited bids, and Konstant Infosolutions’ was the most competitively priced and captured what we wanted to accomplish.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The engagement was very good. Konstant Infosolutions was very responsive to our needs and was able to meet most of our needs. For things that weren’t in the original scope of work, they were transparent about additional costs. They did a very good job. 

How did Konstant Infosolutions perform from a project management standpoint?

The overall communication was very good. They’re in India, so the time difference was a challenge, but it worked out fine most of the time. In terms of meeting timeframes and milestones, they did a good job.

We typically used Skype, as well as email. They also used a project management tool to review the application workflows.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The project manager was always very responsive and personable while maintaining a professional interaction with me. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

In the project scope, if we had more fully fleshed out the project ahead of time, things probably would’ve gone a little smoother. That’s kind of complicated because when you have an idea, you don’t know all of the nuts and bolts needed to build out the idea.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that during the scoping process, you’re clear about every little thing. Make sure you have a good idea of what you want to build and how you want it to be built.

Also make sure that Konstant Infosolutions is aware of your needs, which will make everything go smoothly.

We gave them what we wanted to see, and Konstant Infosolutions developed the app with three faces. There’s one side for the customers, an admin panel for us, and then one side for translators to pick up calls and manage their performances. The team also came up with the tech stack.

We began working with them in October 2019, and the bulk of the work was completed in December 2019. Everything was completed in February 2020.

Their work was of a good standard. We were generally very happy.

When we had comments or things we wanted to change, Konstant Infosolutions reacted quickly. They were constructive and gave good feedback. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Maybe this is cultural, but they are very direct. They don’t waste time and they’re not afraid to share their opinions. We found that to be very helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not that I think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We had a bonus element in the scope of work where we said that if they hit a certain deadline, they could get that bonus. Konstant Infosolutions was very motivated, so I would advise customers to create a performance bonus like that.

We received a grant to build a mobile app. We wanted to welcome people to our ministries.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we met with Konstant to provide them with a layout. We also discussed the need to mirror the platform with our WordPress page. Their team then developed the app for Android and iOS from scratch, basing the platform on our collateral.

The app functions as an entry point into our organization and shows people to our YouTube page, podcast, and store. It also allows us to send notifications to people. It’s another tool for people to learn about who we are and have a good interface with us.

We started this project around March 2018, and the app finally launched in June 2020.

We have over 1,700 users. The platform has increased traffic, especially towards donations and our store. We’ve seen more book orders and more traffic towards our YouTube videos. We’re starting to see an impact.

How did Konstant Infosolutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We used a couple of different tools to collaborate and keep the project on track. The project took a couple of years because Apple and Android made updates that required us to fix the platform. There were also a couple of holidays that put the project behind because we had to wait a week or two for results.

Overall, their team was thorough. However, there were a few times when they were caught off guard. I wish that they were a little ahead of changes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Konstant’s detail-oriented and always followed up with us. If we requested a fix or addition, they would be on it. Their team was detailed and thorough.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be more on top of iOS and Android changes because that’s what we required.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be available for evening phone calls and meet their schedule. If you only plan to work according to your schedule, you might not make a lot of progress.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Konstant Infosolutions handled the entire project. They created the UX/UI designs and managed the platform’s development, QA, and deployment.

I had a vision and a wireframe, which their team tweaked. They assessed what was possible and provided a lot of suggestions. They identified technologies to integrate into the product to achieve my goals. For example, their team implemented the Yelp and Twilio APIs. They also set up Google Analytics to monitor the app’s success and Google Ads to help monetize it.

We recently launched the app in the Android and Apple stores. Now, their team’s working on fixes.

They were extremely helpful. Their team took my ideas and found a way to bring them alive. They provided a lot of extremely helpful feedback.

When I showed my friends the design, they loved the user-friendly environment it created. As the platform recently went live, it’s too early to track success metrics.

We communicated through email. Their communication was important because I wanted to know what was going on the whole time. They always kept me up to date on any changes. Their team asked for feedback to ensure my requests were implemented.

I was impressed by their communication. If their team encountered a challenge, they let me know. If a change would cost more money, their team let me know and waited for my approval before proceeding.

Are there any areas they could improve?

As I didn’t have previous experience, I didn’t know what to expect from the project. I was caught off guard when we tested the platform and found a week later that the environment was different following its launch. That was a point of frustration. They could set the expectation that products may not exactly translate into a live environment.

Download all of Konstant’s communication tools to ensure they’re readily available. Also, keep your early morning hours available to accommodate the time difference.

We had a lot of back and forth where I would help them with design and they would ask me to approve certain things. It’s an iOS and Android app, which they suggested.

Sales have been slow, but I haven’t had any complaints in terms of experience. The website looks good and it’s smooth. We haven’t gone full-fledged with the app yet because the website is more a priority.

I was very much impressed with Lokesh. Even when I asked him to do something that was out of the scope of work, he would do it. I appreciate his being there out of hours. Even with the time difference, he would get the work done by the time I was awake and would always communicate any issues.

All of the account managers have been accessible and responsive, and Raunak has been especially very active. They are really understanding in terms of payment, which we handled over email. We also communicate via Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If I wanted to achieve something, the developer would come up with a more cost-effective solution. I loved their proactive mentality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing stands out. If anything, they could’ve let me know that they were changing account managers because I would randomly be contacted by someone new.

Go ahead and work with them because they’re really good. I’ve had experiences with other developers in the past, and Konstant Infosolutions has been the best. If you tell them what you want, the team will come up with good solutions.

I’ve developed a mobile app that provides free items to people. It’s a C2C or customer-to-customer exchange platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with Konstant Infosolutions?

I wanted to develop a C2C mobile app. We had a contract, and they promised to finish this app in two months, but they delayed it by about nine months. Even after I paid them the money, they didn’t deliver a fully-functioning app. I had to build it with other developers later. I’m quite frustrated with their performance.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I wanted it to be built native, but they directed me to another platform would be a better fit for me. I came to find that a native app development was the easiest way to make the app, and that’s why they gave that recommendation.

What is the team composition?

I worked with the project manager and co-founder. The initial contact was with a secretary, so I had contact with three people in total.

How did you come to work with Konstant Infosolutions?

I chose them because they were located in India and had good reviews on Clutch. Clutch is the gold standard for many people searching for companies, and I’m using the site for another project right now. This is why I’m giving this review.

How much have you invested with them?

It was initially $5,000, but I paid them $9,700 altogether.

What is the status of this engagement?

The contract was signed in October 2019, and they delivered both apps nine months later, and the collaboration wrapped up in June 2020.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

The app wasn’t functional even after they delivered it. I told them about it, but they kept prolonging the bug fixing period. They told me that I’d have to pay extra for work done after a one-month period.

I finished the app with another developer, because Konstant Infosolutions didn’t do it. I took the source code from them, and they said that it was complete, but it wasn’t functioning. The app is in the market now, and I’m still working with another developer.

They were constantly upselling products to me. They charged me $270 for a single line of code. They exploited us. We didn’t know much about app development, but they assumed we didn’t know anything, and tried to upsell us.

How was project management handled?

They promised to complete the project in two months. I paid them ahead of time and they were supposed to wrap up the project in December. Three months later, and I still didn’t have the product. We didn’t wrap up the project until June.

I was just a simple app, but they kept prolonging the work, and I’d have 2–3 days with no communication sometimes.

I’d call the project manager, who’d tell me to call the co-founder, who then told me that it wasn’t up to him, and that the project manager makes the decisions.

I communicated with them over Skype, email, and phone. Usually, they’d ask for a one-minute Skype talk when they wanted to upsell a product to me.

I wouldn’t want someone else to have the same experience. They didn’t deliver what they promised.  

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

No, there isn’t.

In what specific areas can they improve?

First of all, they should stick to the timeline. If they promise two months, it shouldn’t take nine. Secondly, they take money upfront, so the customer is on the hook. I don’t know whether it’s their company culture or something else.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

I would totally avoid this company. I’ve come across many others that are much more reliable, including smaller companies.

I’m the managing director of a consulting firm in the Caribbean. We provide business and technology open services for several island in the region. We provide application development services.

In this particular case, we needed to develop a mobile app for one of our clients. We usually build web applications, in this particular case, we didn’t have the manpower to build this app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They assisted with the entire engagement lifecycle. I talked to someone in pre-sales who understood the requirements and responsibilities. We started with the requirements gathering phase, where the user stories were developed. That was our responsibility, but we did that in coordination to Konstant Infosolutions. We went back several times to validate the user stories and follow up.

They did a full stack development front- and backend. We wanted to use a particular technology, but based on discussion with them, we changed that as well.

Once we had that, they provided a cost estimate, which we agreed to and they assigned a project manager. He was the go-to person for the full engagement. From a service perspective, that was a good approach.

We did some research online and did our due diligence. We searched for companies with headquarters in India and considered a few alternatives. We decided to proceed with Konstant Infosolutions.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2019 and we finalized everything in about a year. We put a few things on hold, so it took about a year to finalize everything. The app went live in July 2020.

The client and our team are very happy with the end result. We went live this month, and the product met all expectations; we didn’t have any problems.

How did Konstant Infosolutions perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager was very proactive; they followed up in emails after each of our calls. Although we have a time difference, that wasn’t really an issue. They were always available over Skype and email. The time difference was even beneficial at times because our team could do some work during the day. To that extent, the team was very sharp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re always willing to help. They will go the extra mile without looking into the nitty gritty detail. When we needed some extra work to be done, something wasn’t working, or we changed our mind, they were willing to help. Other vendors are stricter and charge the customer to make changes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could double-check the process to reassure that changes have been implemented before telling the customer.

Communicate openly and make sure your expectations are aligned. If you have a clear purpose and communicate it well, your engagement will be successful.

It’s nice knowing that we have a trusted partner. The quality of their work is great; I wouldn’t be going back if the quality was poor.

How we communicate has changed over the years; in recent years, we’ve been using Skype. The time zone can be difficult, but other than that, it’s no big deal.

At the end of the day, we’re happy with everything, from the initial reaching out to start a project, understanding the scope of what we’re trying to accomplish, getting us a price, staying within budget, delivering on the timeline, launching the project – it all usually goes smoothly.

Any advice for potential customers?

Just like with anybody you engage, communication is really important. When you’re working with somebody in a different time zone, it can be hard to be in that mindset, but as long as you’re diligent about making those meetings and communicating, things will go very smoothly. If you try to do everything over Skype or email, things can get lost in translation. Anytime you can do an audio or video chat is much better.
