We work with excellent project managers at Kimp.io. Communication is always top-tier, and every person we've interacted with directly is friendly, attentive, and highly professional.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We absolutely love working in their proprietary web app & dashboard. Everything has been meticulously crafted by their development team, and if there are issues, they are quick to patch any bugs or resolve problems. This makes managing projects and creative requests a pleasure to do.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Kimp.io could have done differently?

My ONLY desire is for the quality and skill level of some of their graphic designers to be elevated even further. They provide solid creative work, but sometimes, there are inconsistencies in quality between the various outputs. Everything else with Kimp is top-tier. Everything.

I saw an ad on Facebook. We first signed up for a free trial, and after that, they offered discounts for the rest of the month so we’d continue with them.

The team calls me every couple of weeks to check if I’m pleased with their services. We communicate on Trello and also keep in contact through their chat. They have a good structure in place and have different people working on each project. Their website is well-organized and easy to navigate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I found most impressive are their competitive pricing and quality work. I've worked with other businesses, but their artwork wasn’t as good as Kimp.io’s.

I don't have anything for them to improve. There's a service that would help me out, but that’s not something Kimp.io offers.

I’d say to definitely give them a go. The turnaround time is good and they can handle a lot of work each week.

We use Kimp on an ongoing basis to help us absorb peaks in work that our in-house graphic designers can't cover. In this particular project, Kimp designed a very elaborate campaign brochure for us, as well as illustrations, social media posts, photo montages and posters.

What were your goals for this project?

The aim of the project was to generate attention for the forest and its contribution to global climate protection. This not only on a political level, but also on the level of citizens. The challenge was to implement a complex topic in a way that was easy to understand and visually appealing, so that everyone would engage with it - from politicians to truck drivers.

We did an online research on how we can relieve ourselves during work peaks without having to hire more employees. We looked at several providers and also tried them out. Kimp has convinced with constant quality.

As this is an ongoing collaboration, the scope of work varies. From simple social media posts to complex designs, everything is included.

We have a dedicated contact person as project manager at Kimp, who then distributes our design orders to the appropriate designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since we started working with Kimp, we can easily cover work peaks without hiring additional employees. This works flawlessly with calculable costs. Since then, our internal team is much more satisfied and relaxed because the work pressure has decreased.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is very well organized. We can submit our tasks to Kimp in a dashboard and always get quick feedback on how long the job will take, if any information is still needed, etc. The turnaround time is also very fast.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What is particularly impressive is that they are up to any design task. So the team is very well-positioned and has experts for every style - from illustrations and logo designs to extensive tasks in Photoshop.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Now and then (very rarely) it happens that the design briefing was not understood correctly. Here, more follow-up questions would be desirable to save time in the process.

I unsure of the composition of the team, I only really deal with my account manager. Even then I only really tag her in comments I want to be actioned. Every now and then someone else will reach out to me regarding other things. So overall I have no idea how they operate.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have seen a huge rise in conversions after getting Kimp to design our Facebook Ads. Our clients are also very satisfied with the designs.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We use a Trello board to communicate with the Kimp team, it has been very effective with no issues so far.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It's ridiculously cost effective for the quality you receive. I provide some very sub-par briefs and receive surprisingly good content in return. From this, I will often let them run with what they think is best. I am impressed with their speed and ability to maintain the company's brand image across designs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Quite often it is quite apparent that the team has not read the brief at all. Sometimes we receive content that is far from what we asked for. They also come with some typos and spelling mistakes.

The company I work for a financial technology business that connects valuable client data to help improve efficiencies, identify opportunities and avoid discrepancies. I have been hired as the first Marketing Manager to oversee all the ongoing marketing and communication content for the organisation.

As there was previously no marketing person in the organisation before, there is a lot of general marketing collateral required. From creating email headers, powerpoint presentations, updating all client-facing documentation, creating engaging social media videos and more - Kimp was able to take care of the many types of graphic requests I needed to position the organisation well in the industry.

What were your goals for this project?

There was a lot of marketing collateral I needed to be produced in a short amount of time. The ability to request multiple projects on the go at the same time has meant we were able to meet my marketing goals a lot faster. Especially at the beginning where there are a lot of new collateral to create, the team was very impressed with the quick turnaround.

I had done a bit of research with other similar companies and I found that Kimp had good reviews. I compared pricing structure, to deliverables and the fact that they were able to create video work too was very helpful. The free trial was also a good way to experience the work flow and customer service to carry out my requests and see the end result.

I had asked the team at Kimp to do a number of things for me, this included preparing a Brand Strategy document that was important to share our mission, purpose and values to the wider team. Then there was a lot of client-facing documents that needed updating with our Xeppo brand. We do ongoing email marketing campaigns so I am requesting email headers, icon images, and new presentations regularly. In all my brief, I try to be as specific as possible and ensure that they all adhere to the brand style guide provided at the beginning to ensure consistency. There are times when we need to go back and forth a few times to get it right but the communication is usually quite swift.

It was just myself working with Kimp the entire time.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As the brand is only starting out its marketing content, we haven't got metrics to illustrate the value yet. At the moment, it is more about showing a consistent and cohesive brand style and in all our collateral to ensure clients have a good experience with us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

So far it has been good, I like using Trello and communication from Kimp is usually quite swift. It is usually up to myself to follow up with my wider team for final feedback.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Kimp.io has been very efficient to deliver on my requests. I am pleased with the quality of work and ongoing communication to let me know if there is a delay.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only suggestion is that I notice a bit of inconsistency with the designers, some work hits the nail on my brief and meets my expectation where others don't have the brand colours/style right and the style needs more work to get it up to a similar standard as other work.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since starting with Kimp we have been able to scale our business more and our production quality is much higher than it was before.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow is very easy and streamlined. We use their Trello offering to maintain communications and we've never had a problem hearing back from the team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We enjoy the fact that Kimp.io maintains their promise and delivers consistently. We typically never have to worry about them being there or delivering things on time.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Very minor, but sometimes the designers don't look at designs as if they were the consumer (we're in marketing). Meaning that some edits we request are sometimes logic-based, such as the placement of a logo or size of text so it's readable on mobile.

Small things like that, which may be difficult to know or understand being outsourced and not having the entire vision of the project at their disposal. But these are minor and easily fixed with revision requests.

I’m the CEO and founder of a company called Paragon Well-Being. We’re a corporate wellness company providing software and other services to companies that are interested in improving their overall employee experience.

What challenge were you trying to address with Kimp.io?

We needed their team to design our materials and provide content marketing services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

On average, Kimp.io produces 2–5 pages of PDF content for us. There are instances when they have to deal with bigger projects, for instance, a 30-page ebook. Their team creates design templates that they can just alter depending on our branding requirements. Our other branding requirements include social media posts and photos that need to be edited before we post them on our pages. Once we approve their design work, they can go ahead and proceed with other tasks or design projects. 

What is the team composition?

I mainly work with Dan (Designer). I’m not sure if there are other resources involved in the process because they don’t disclose that to us.

How did you come to work with Kimp.io?

Kimp.io’s team was recommended to me by a friend who owns a marketing agency and onboarded their team for a project. Being a witness to the quick turnaround times and quality of the work being produced by his company, I asked my friend how he got everything done. I was happy to give Kimp.io’s team a shot after learning about their work.

How much have you invested with them?

Their pricing is based on a subscription fee. So far, we’ve paid about $270 on the first discounted month, and the succeeding months are at $390 each.

We started in December 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I can say that the quality of their work is spot-on. They always hit the nail on the head by delivering our design needs. Their pool of designers sure knows how to bring life to our brand by employing effective branding and marketing solutions. There were a couple of instances where the work they delivered didn’t quite meet our expectations, but they were quick to address that by applying appropriate and creative modifications.

How did Kimp.io perform from a project management standpoint?

Kimp.io’s workflow has always been commendable. There’s never been a time when they haven’t addressed our requests for edits or information — they’re just really easy to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Kimp.io is a low-maintenance team that works independently. Upon telling them what to do, I can just wait and expect them to deliver — I don’t have to sit with them to collate ideas because I know they’ll do it all for me within five minutes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ve honestly been pretty good to us, so I don’t think there are any areas to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You have to know how you want your customers to think of your brand — have a pretty good idea of what you truly need, and leave it to Kimp.io’s team to make your branding vision come to life.

I’m the owner and CEO of a multimedia company called The Fellas Media. We work with both businesses and regular people, doing graphic design, videography, photography, and websites.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Kimp.io provides a range of design services, from logo designs to poster board prints. I’ve had them take out the background from items for me, too. They’ve even done video thumbnails and business cards.

We work with a project manager who distributes the work to her team. As of yesterday, we’ve added a second person.

How did you come to work with Kimp.io?

I found them while scrolling through Instagram and signed up for a trial period. The customer service was really top-notch. Even though I started on their website and then moved to Facebook to ask them a question, they connected the dots and sent me a congratulations message via Facebook. It was so fast that I ended up skipping the trial period and paid same day.

To date, it’s close to $12,000.

We started back in July 2020 and are still working with them.

I’ve been super pleased with their work. Whenever a customer sends me a picture of their printed item, I send the response back to Kimp.io so that everyone can see. It’s a nice thing when a designer receives positive feedback, and they’re doing a fabulous job.

How did Kimp.io perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s all about their communication. As I mentioned earlier, I realized that they were well-organized and open to feedback by the first day. They let me know when they have questions and then just get it done based on our Trello stories. We don’t have a bunch of back-and-forth hindering progress. That’s what I really appreciate about them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s impressive how they’re able to understand our comments. They’ll take our feedback and implement it right away without being rude about it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only thing I can think of is that they should have a tipping option. Sometimes I want to give them a bonus because they’ve done so well.

Maximize your experience by getting to know their protocol, and everything else will be straightforward. You can start by giving them a detailed project to do, making sure to provide references and communicating any requirements in an organized, bulleted list.

Time-wise, I tend to get them design requests before 2 a.m., but there are cases where I’ll submit a request at 8 a.m., and they’ll return something 2–3 hours later.

Top-quality, competitive pricing, and output compared to their peers are what sets them apart in this sector. Kimp produces almost twice the work that other unlimited graphic design teams do, and because of that, I love their organization. Quality, value, and customer service make them a winner for me.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The organization has an exceptional setup, and from my perspective could not invest any more in what they provide without raising prices. The quality to value ratio is tilted firmly in their favor.
