The Contractor was responsible for creating accessible and engaging training materials using written documentation provided by the Organization. The Contractor prepared four training videos demonstrating conservation monitoring protocols. Videos included a mix of animation and relevant footage, ranging between 5-10mins in length. Videos included voiceovers.

The Contractor also prepared complementary written training materials in the form of digital PDF guides. The documents the videos noted above. All materials produced were targeted towards an audience with minimal background in the field of conservation and environmental fieldwork, including the specific methods described in the videos and accompanying guides. Success in developing these materials was determined, in part, through their ability to be interpreted by the target audience.

I work for Toyota Canada where I am a Consultant in the Business Innovation department. Part of my role is to produce educational videos for our dealer staff depicting best practices designed to deliver the best customer experience.

For what projects/services did your company hire Keyring Media, and what were your goals?

We hired Keyring to film, edit and produce Quick Tip videos with the goal of delivering finished content to our dealers on a regular basis that is both engaging and informative.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Keyring was selected prior to my start with Toyota, but I believe positive word of mouth was a significant factor in their selection.

I first write the scripts for the short (7-10 minutes) videos and also provide bullets/images to be included. Ahead of filming, I send the script to Keyring, which is then transferred into a Teleprompter format for the shoot day. On the shoot day, Janine is always ready, complete with a camera/sound man. We also film a French version of the script so this process is repeated again. Usually we film 2 English and 2 French videos per day. After filming (usually within a couple of days) Janine send the first draft of the video via Frame io editing software, which allows me to efficiently view and suggest any edits instantaneously. Once the final video is complete, Janine send the file to Toyota University, where it is then distributed via an internal dealer newsletter.

Janine Harris is our main contact and she has demonstrated time and time again not only her respect for timelines, but her incredible creativity and willingness to listen to customer feedback.

Janine consistently provides an amazing customer experience during the creative, filming and editing stages...not to mention more than once helping to make last-minute changes due to unforeseen challenges...always with a smile and an unwavering desire to deliver the best possible product.

Janine is very easy to talk to, has a great sense of humour, and always makes it a joy to work together...it never feels like a client/vendor relationship...more like friends that partner towards a successful outcome. Timelines are always met and we communicate by phone/text/email and with Frame io...Janine makes herself available at all hours, day/night...amazing commitment to open communications.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Keyring's commitment to customer satisfaction. No ask is too big, no challenge is too great...I have thrown a lot of curves at Janine over the years and she always comes through. She is also very innovative...she recently suggested a new format for the videos which brings in new graphics; giving it a fresh look and feel that has ben well-received.

None that I can think of...honestly the best partnership I have ever experienced. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working together on hundreds of videos over the past 13 years, and I look forward to more of the same in the years to come...Keyring is an absolute joy to work with!

For each project, we first hold a briefing meeting with Keyring to walk through the use case, target audience, objectives and operational guidelines. From here, Keyring develops a storyboard for discussion and once finalized, moves into production.
