**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Kellton's work, the client has integrated their platform with over 10 APIs and external data sources and launched two apps (a user-facing one and a staff-facing one), allowing them to offer their service to enterprises. ""All of us working together feels great, and the work quality has been excellent.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the VP of engineering for a surrogacy services platform.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton? We needed their team’s development expertise.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Kellton has worked with us for a little over two years on the software development side of our company. Their team has worked very closely with me and another in-house product manager to develop our web app. As for the technology stack, we've predominantly used Python, React, and JavaScript. Although Kellton has mainly focused on developing our web app, they've also been great partners in designing and architecting it as well. Our web app helps us screen and evaluate our users regarding their involvement in gestational carrying and surrogacy. We're basically a platform that helps connect intended parents and surrogates, so it integrates with a number of APIs for identity verification, background checks, and medical-related information. This platform makes it easier for doctors to make decisions regarding the next steps to make intended parents have children. We've built an online portal that helps guide users through a very complex set of steps that need to take place in order for surrogacy risks to be minimized, ensuring safety, privacy, and best practices compliance. What is the team composition? We've worked with three teammates from Kellton: a backend engineer, a frontend engineer, and a part-time senior-level teammate focused on the architectural side of the app.How did you come to work with Kellton?I joined my company after the engagement with Kellton had begun. However, I had worked with a number of service providers in my previous roles, so one of the first things I did was evaluate their team members and the quality of their work. Based on my findings, I made the decision to continue working with them and increase the engagement. I was very impressed with them. How much have you invested with them?We used to spend around $15,000, but this year, our engagement increased to around $20,000 per month. What is the status of this engagement? We started working together at the beginning of 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. Recently, we've ramped up our engagement. One of our team members was working part-time for us, but now we have two full-time teammates working on our project.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We've integrated our platform with over 10 APIs and external data sources, which is noteworthy. Additionally, we've launched not one but two apps, one for end users and another one for staff members, which allows us to offer a business product to enterprises. How did Kellton perform from a project management standpoint?Kellton has delivered work on time and within budget, and their team communicates well with us. We primarily use Slack, Google Docs, and Linear, a ticket management software. Using those three tools, and obviously GitHub, we've been able to have very effective communication. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?I would like to congratulate the whole Kellton team and particularly give a shout-out to Agata (Frontend Software Engineer). Although she's currently on maternity leave, she has been fantastic. We've had a great engagement with her and hope to work with her again in the future. Still, the whole team has been great. What did you find most impressive about them?I've been very happy with the quality of Kellton's work. Additionally, I've been very pleased with their attitude in treating us as if they're part of our team because we're a team. All of us working together feels great, and the work quality has been excellent. Are there any areas they could improve?Kellton has been great at taking our feedback as we provide it, so there's nothing I would have them improve. I would only ask them to keep doing what they're doing because they're doing a great job.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?Set up a clear internal teammate from Kellton as your main point of contact and treat them as part of your team. That arrangement has worked very well for us because it makes us feel like we're a single team.

**The Review** — Apr 17, 2024

**Feedback Summary**: Following best practices and a streamlined workflow, Kellton has created a stable and secure web platform for the client, which has had less than five downtimes within eight years. Kellton has excelled at negotiating the budget with the client. Moreover, they've been helpful, flexible, and patient. This review is an update by the client company. The original content is located below the new review.
""The project management methodology that Kellton follows is impressive.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the senior manager of web operations at an Indian-based industry association of IT companies comprising over 3,500 members.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton? We originally engaged with Kellton in 2016 when we were revamping our website. Our website was based on Drupal 6, and we needed to upgrade it to Drupal 7.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?Kellton originally helped us revamp our website, upgrading it from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7. To kickstart this project, we shared a lot of details with Kellton, including the sitemap, the site architecture, the current design, and the content. The overall execution of the website revamp project took about 18 months.Since then, we've been in maintenance mode with Kellton. One of their team members takes care of our basic requirements, helps us solve issues, and addresses any further steps that need to be taken. What is the team composition?Initially, Kellton allocated a business development executive to the project, who was in charge of managing the conversation with us and understanding the brief. We've also worked with a development team led by a project manager who has managed the project overall. Moreover, we've been able to interact with the developments directly in order to share our concerns and feedback. Kellton's team included Jatinder (Former Technical Architect), Sushil (VP of Technology), and a salesperson. How did you come to work with Kellton? We found Kellton online when we were looking for a partner with Drupal expertise. We launched an RFP and received proposals from a couple of potential partners. We shortlisted Kellton and ultimately hired them as our technology partner. How much have you invested with them? We've spent between 7 million–8 million INR (approximately $84,000–$96,000 USD).What is the status of this engagement? We began working with them in 2016, and our relationship has continued since then. We'll continue working together throughout 2024.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Our overall experience working with Kellton has been good. They've followed best practices shared in the industry, such as creating the complete documentation of the project and creating a document called Software Requirement Specification Document. The main impact of this project is that we've had a very stable website. from 2017–2024, our platform has been very secure. Although I also give credit to our internal security team, the fact that our downtime has been very low during that period is great. Throughout those years, our site has been down around 4–5 times, if not less. This is a testament that Kellton has built a very stable platform for us.Moreover, our web platform is very easy to understand, and the support provided by Kellton has been very good. The developers assigned to our project have been very responsible. They know their job and have done a decent job of developing our platform. How did Kellton perform from a project management standpoint? At one point in time, we were exceeding the budget. However, the salesperson I mentioned was instrumental in getting things accommodated. He negotiated with us and got the project done within the budget we had. There was a branding element that Kellton was supposed to take care of as part of the website maintenance agreement, which was the deal the salesperson negotiated with us.As for the timelines, we more or less have met those. There have been some delays, but I take the blame for that, as those delays have been on our end. Still, Kellton has done a great job in that regard overall. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?Kellton's salesperson was very influential and helpful in getting this project started. He was very flexible and understanding of our requirements, providing us with a solution and negotiating the cost based on our budget.Additionally, I would like to give a shout-out to Sushil, who I believe was a developer when the project started. He is the teammate who has worked on the overall technology architecture of our website. When the project was completed, I gave my testimonial about his work, and I know that he has been promoted in the company since then.Throughout the project, Sushil was instrumental in helping us, going above and beyond the call of duty. At times, we needed support on issues like server hosting, and he was very proactive in interacting with our internal teams and getting us all the support and expertise required.I would also give a shout-out to Hemant (Software Developer), who worked with us after Sushil was promoted and until March 2024. Hemant worked with me directly on the requirements. Although he wasn't a senior developer as Sushil was, he was very helpful and patient regarding our demands. In addition to them, I would like to mention Vaishali (Associate Project Manager) in this section. She joined the project more than a year ago when we were struggling with some project management issues. She helped us streamline many of the issues. Along with Vaishali, Nagina (Former Associate Project Manager) worked on those issues as well, and she was very helpful, too. Although I don't remember the names, other teammates in the cloud support team helped us with issues related to hosting. What did you find most impressive about them? The project management methodology that Kellton follows is impressive. They're great at taking notes at a personal level, understanding the requirements, following a proper documentation process, and following that documentation during the project testing. Overall, their workflow is beautifully managed. Are there any areas they could improve? The teammates from Kellton who are involved in the actual project execution are very good developers. They're responsible young teammates who do a very decent job. However, I see an area of opportunity for them regarding project management. They need to be a little more proactive in suggesting solutions to the client rather than waiting for the client to come up with the problem and then working on an execution strategy. In the technology world, and considering the way technology is constantly changing at a fast pace, development teams need to come up with new solutions for their clients. That's their business, so if they can generate new solutions, they'll generate more business for their organization.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?I can recommend working with Kellton because they know their job. when negotiating the project, ensure to have a dedicated project manager from their team for a set number of hours per week to help you roll out the project.

**UPDATED REVIEW**
This review was published on September 1, 2016.Anirban MandalDeputy Director, NASSCOMInformation technologyIndia51-200 EmployeesJan 2015 - OngoingLess than $10,000Project summaryKellton Tech Solutions is upgrading the client's corporate website to Drupal and will soon be building a mobile application. They have also built an iOS and Android app for the client's annual leadership event.Feedback summaryThe mobile apps received positive feedback from users and allowed the client to collect valuable information. Kellton Tech Solutions has efficient project management practices and is very flexible. The client has no areas for improvement.BACKGROUNDPlease introduce your business and what you do there.I work for NASSCOM, a trade association for IT [information technology] companies in India. I am the deputy director of technology.OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGEWhat challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?Kellton Tech is doing two things for us. First, they are migrating and rebuilding our corporate website. Second, once the website is finished, they will build a related mobile app. Third, they also built iOS and Android apps for our annual leadership event.SOLUTIONWhat was the scope of their involvement? As a trade organization, NASSCOM does many events that are very much focused on different business verticals. We have a leadership event every year in February. In 2016, they proposed to build us a mobile app for this event where users can connect with each other, download the conference schedule, and contact a speaker for a particular session. The challenge for us is the whole mobile app opportunity. The entire application world is moving toward mobile apps. What we did was ask Kellton to reuse one of their apps and tweak it for us. The app was very successful in that particular event. After that, we signed them up to modify that app for a couple of other events. They did one for an HR event, and they are working on a version for a marketing technology event. We'll be working with them in this manner for the next three years. Our corporate website is on a Google platform. Once Google came up with their latest version, we wanted to migrate all our content to the latest system – a Drupal version. At the same time, we wanted to take the site to the next level with more interconnectivity with other apps. Kellton Tech understood the whole project, what the site currently does, how to identify the different aspects of the website, and translate those into the new platform. That's what they've been doing with us currently. How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?NASSCOM is an IT association, so we have access to the IT companies who are our members. We sent out a request for proposals to redevelop our website to all our members. Once we did that, we received many proposals. We evaluated all of them and finally settled on Kellton Tech. How much have you invested with Kellton Tech Solutions? We have invested with an agreement to provide them visibility as our partner on the website as well as at events. What is the status of this engagement? We started working with them sometime in 2015, so it's been almost two years that we have been working with them.RESULTS & FEEDBACKCould you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work or the impact of the engagement? As far as our website is concerned, we're still in a beta phase. The mobile apps for the last couple of events have been very successful. The app was helpful in giving us data on which sessions attracted the most people. Customers have also given us positive feedback on that dataHow did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint? They did well. Their project management was very comprehensive. Kellton Tech has been very good at letting us know what we can and cannot do and in working through changes with us. But, I've never seen them go off track. They always stick to the basic requirements of a project. What did you find most impressive about Kellton Tech Solutions?Technically, their team is good. They're quite helpful and quite open, too. Although we will be working with them for the next three years, we don't want to become dependent on them to make changes for every event. They were flexible enough to change the product to suit our needs and make it an open system so we can make changes to fit a particular event. Kellton was open to customizing the product the way we wanted. Are there any areas Kellton Tech Solutions could improve?Nothing. I don't have anything negative to say about them. They've been very open to doing everything we asked of them.Star RatingsOverall rating: 5There's no doubt about it – their team is very well managed and very helpful.Quality: 5Cost: 4All the proposals I've seen from them appear to be very cost-effective. Financially, we have not spent much with them.Schedule: 5They push to make things happen.Willing to refer: 5I would definitely recommend them.

**The Review** — Mar 28, 2024

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton has been very supportive in providing resources that meet the client's needs and expertise requirements, resulting in a fruitful engagement. The engineers have been proactive and worked well as part of the client's team. Their knowledge has allowed them to complete the client's projects.
""Kellton has been very supportive in providing us with resources to work on our projects.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I'm the lead program manager at an edtech company based in New Delhi. I currently look after our program management department and also handle program management activities related to the UX of the products we're developing.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton? Our website was built using .NET and an old version of Drupal. However, we weren't able to hire resources with Drupal expertise. We discovered that Kellton had developers with a Drupal background, so we decided to hire them to engage with those developers for our website development projects.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? My company has been collaborating with Kellton for over four years. Our partnership revolves around engaging resources from their team. These resources work with my company on website development and enhancement projects, so their team handles all tasks related to our website. For every project, we share a job description with Kellton for them to know what kind of resources we need from their team. For example, we might need a Drupal engineer or a Java developer for a project, so we share those details with them. Then, they come back with a list of engineers available that meet our demands. Then, we interview those candidates, and based on their interview performance, we shortlist them and choose the one that fits our needs. What is the team composition? We have a dedicated account manager from Kellton working with us. As for the number of engineers we've onboarded with them, we've had about 4–5 resources working on our project. Still, we've reduced that number, and we're currently working with only one engineer from their team, Kunal (Senior Software Engineer). Our team size varies from project to project because we focus on cost optimization. How did you come to work with Kellton?I wasn't responsible for the engagement. Kellton was working with us when I joined the company, so I don't know how the engagement started. As for the engagement with their resources, we typically sign an agreement with them based on the skill set and expertise we need from their resources. What is the status of this engagement?I've been working with my current company for about two and a half years. Before I joined, they were already collaborating with Kellton, so I believe they originally engaged in 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Ours has been a fruitful engagement. Kellton has been very supportive in providing us with resources to work on our projects. Typically, we have a fixed set of requirements on the skill set and expertise we need, and Kellton has been very supporting in meeting those requirements. Moreover, the resources we've onboarded have been very proactive. These resources work on our website projects only, and they've been able to bring their expertise and complete all the required development work we've needed. We haven't faced any issues in that regard. How did Kellton perform from a project management standpoint?Given that Kellton's resources have worked as part of our team, our engagement doesn't require project management or budget compliance. They have a fixed salary, and based on their expertise, they can complete an enormous amount of work for us. Ultimately, the engineer working with us is working well. We're on a time-and-materials kind of engagement, so this engineer works with us eight hours a day.Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?I would like to give a shout-out to our account manager and to Kunal. What did you find most impressive about them? They've been very proactive. Are there any areas they could improve? There's nothing Kellton could improve on. We haven't faced any challenges thus far.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs? Before you engage in this kind of engagement, compare the price Kellton charges for a developer to the price of hiring a developer available in the market.

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Kellton's work, the client has integrated their platform with over 10 APIs and external data sources and launched two apps (a user-facing one and a staff-facing one), allowing them to offer their service to enterprises. The team is highly collaborative and delivers on time and on budget.

- Client size: 1,001-5,000 Employees

**The Review** — Aug 3, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: The website is live but contains some errors. Kellton is very responsive to feedback and provides more developers when needed; however, the team is unable to meet deadlines and only has 2–3 years of experience. They also use outdated technologies. Tasks are assigned in Jira.
""Whenever we have reached out and escalated an issue to Kellton’s management, we’ve seen immediate action taken.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.Reviewer 1: I’m the deputy VP of technology for an insurance company. We only offer our services digitally.Reviewer 2: I’m the AVP of technology.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton?R1: We needed their team’s development expertise.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?R1: We have a continuous collaboration with Kellton to develop our website using a .NET framework. All of our products are configured in the policy administrative system, and the website is integrated with this backend system.R2: We have two websites. The new website has been maintained internally, and the old website is maintained by Kellton. Our strategy has been to not make big changes to the old product, so Kellton has only done minor changes and fixes. Usually, we reach out with requirements, and Kellton starts working on them. We’ve mostly not had stringent timelines. In 2022, we started a new product, which required some bigger changes. Now, we’re working with Kellton on the new product launch.R1: The website has always been on a .NET framework, even before our partnership began. We shifted the server to be on the cloud; we are responsible for hosting, and Kellton only provides development services.R2: We’re working on changes to the website that Kellton manages, so we’ve added two new resources from their team. What is the team composition?R1: There are nine people currently, including developers, a program manager, and a business analyst. The team also includes a team lead. How much have you invested with them?R1: We spend around $12,000 per month, or $144,000 per year, totaling $1,440,000.What is the status of this engagement?R1: We began working with them in January 2014, and we’re still working with them.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?R1: The site is currently up and running, but there are a lot of bugs and challenges. I think Kellton should upgrade and come up with a different solution that’s not .NET. R2: The Kellton resources we’re working with are not very experienced; they only have 2–3 years of experience. R1: Kellton is not agile; they haven’t offered support with Google Ads or SEO, even though we are expecting that. I think they should proactively offer those services because the market and technologies are changing and Kellton is operating the same way they always have. How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?R2: We often need to add teammates on demand because we have a strict timeline from our management that we need to deliver within. Kellton’s team can scale the team as needed, but the teammates take more time to complete tasks than experts would. Even with more teammates, we still see delays. They deliver the requirements, but we have to be patient; Kellton’s team needs time to understand the tasks. For most of the partnership, up until 2022, there have been no strict timelines or major fixes needed. If we expected something in three days, and it took Kellton a week to develop it, it wasn’t a problem. For this reason, we never highlighted the issue. Now that we have stringent timelines, Kellton’s lack of timeliness is a problem. More recently, we’ve brought up the timeline issues verbally with Kellton’s managers. The project management tool we’re currently using is Jira. This is where we write out and assign tasks. The timeline is managed in Microsoft Excel.R1: Kellton works in sprints of 15–20 days. What did you find most impressive about them?R2: Whenever we have reached out and escalated an issue to Kellton’s management, we’ve seen immediate action taken. Are there any areas they could improve?R1: Kellton’s delivery should be on time, and they should update to new technologies rather than working with old technologies. They should be more agile and offer 2–3 solutions.R2: Additionally, they should add more responsible teammates to the team so everyone knows what’s going on and we don’t have to contact management.R1: Finally, they should automate their testing; it’s all manual right now.R2: Kellton should upgrade from traditional methods.Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?R2: If your company is more traditional and you don’t have big requirements, you won’t have a problem with Kellton.

Though there have been a few scheduling issues, the Kellton team is highly experienced and has the ability to outline and analyze development requirements clearly.
"“They complete extraordinary work for us.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m a manager for Digital CE; we are a farming service and agriscience company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton? We hired Kellton for custom software development.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? We have different digital solutions that Kellton supports, including a loyalty program for retailers. We also have various applications for distributors to help streamline the sales process and distributor engagements. The other major development work that Kellton supports us in is master data management. This is the primary medium for all our applications and where we have the main master mappings and end user management. Key technologies include .NET, the Microsoft SQL Server, and the IBM server; we’re migrating everything into Microsoft Azure. Kellton also helps us with Power BI dashboard data analysis and reports. These dashboards integrate with the applications Kellton develops. How did you come to work with Kellton?I’m unsure because my company was already engaged with Kellton when I started. How much have you invested with them? We’ve spent less than $500,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working together in early 2018 and are still engaged with Kellton.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We are very pleased with the service from Kellton. They know our company values and are dedicated to understanding our purpose and needs. They are willing to do anything we ask, which we appreciate. How did Kelltonperform from a project management standpoint? There have been a few issues with staying on schedule and communication, but overall we’re very happy with the collaboration. They have a process they follow for development, and when we come to them, our requirements go to the right people. We typically communicate through email, and we use a software management tool for tickets and when we need to let Kellton know about enhancements and other requirements. We also use this tool to track the project's progress and have daily stand-ups. What did you find most impressive about them? They are highly experienced and can outline and analyze everything when we have new development requirements. They complete extraordinary work for us. Are there any areas they could improve?Kellton could take more ownership over the decisions they make because we feel like they don’t always come to us with solutions when issues arise. Kellton is sometimes more concerned about the work than the application's outcome. We also wish Kellton would help us with AI because it is so important now. We are actively exploring AI and hope they can get up to speed to help us.  Do you have any advice for potential customers? They supply excellent service, and we recommend people use their company.

**The Review** — Dec 6, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The Drupal upgrade allowed the client to adhere to Drupal security requirements. The team has delivered projects on time and within budget, leveraging Jira for task management. Additionally, they’re responsive, consistent, and upfront, and they always work with the client to meet their expectations.
"“Their work is very consistent, and their team is good at solving issues quickly.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a department manager at a semiconductor company. We make semiconductor chips, as well as software and hardware, for various original equipment manufacturers so that they can use them to build their end user products.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton?

We needed help with website maintenance, support, and ongoing development. Our main challenge was upgrading our platform from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Kellton has helped us upgrade our Drupal environment to Drupal 8. Initially, we had a series of meetings with them to walk them through how our current system worked. Since then, they’ve helped us with website maintenance, and we work on an ongoing project basis to enhance both our external website and intranet.

To access our intranet, employees get connected through our SSL. This site is just a basic CMS to house internal documents and information. In addition to Drupal, the technology stack includes JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and PHP.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with four people from Kellton, including one project manager and three developers.

How did you come to work with Kellton?

A colleague who had worked with Kellton at a previous company recommended them. When I compared them to their competition, they had similar skill sets, and their cost was slightly lower. However, my colleague's high praise was a deciding factor. He already knew how they worked, and he was very happy with the past project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2020, and our engagement is ongoing, although we’re currently in maintenance mode.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Although our site looks the same in the frontend, the Drupal upgrade has allowed us to adhere to Drupal’s security requirements.

How did Kellton perform from a project management standpoint?

Kellton has delivered on time and on budget, with no surprises in that regard. They’re always very upfront, and everything has aligned with their initial estimations. Throughout the Drupal upgrade project, we shared emails and Jira tickets interchangeably, and we held weekly Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Kellton is responsive, and they answer our questions quickly. Moreover, their work is very consistent, and their team is good at solving issues quickly. Still, whenever they feel they won’t be able to complete something according to my expectations, they bring it up in our meetings and explain their reasons. During these meetings, they also give me suggestions on how to work around those challenges or change my expectations so that I’m still satisfied with the alternatives.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Kellton improved their QA processes. I’m sure they have QA resources. However, during the Drupal upgrade project, I felt as if I was the one doing QA.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Understand your needs and expectations for the project, and be aware that their team works from India, so you might face time difference challenges.

**The Review** — Oct 20, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton ultimately delivered a modern solution, and they provided excellent support after that, demonstrating great responsiveness. The team was communicative, engaging, and good at meeting deadlines. Additionally, they offered impressively fast turnaround times.
"“Kellton’s engagement level and rapid turnaround time were outstanding.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a software development manager at MSA Safety. We provide gas detection equipment for retail and industrial customers, and I’m in charge of software development for our fixed gas fire detection team.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton?

We wanted to move our systems into the cloud. As a small company producing hardware, we didn’t have the expertise to do it ourselves, so we needed help with building our cloud-based solutions.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We engaged with Kellton to develop a greenfield product used to track maintenance on our equipment out in the field. Their team first worked closely with us to architect the solution, defining a set of milestones to be delivered within a year. Then, they developed the solution following the plan they had defined. After delivering the solution, they kept working with us for two years in a maintenance support mode as we brought the project internally so that we could support it long-term.

As for its technology stack, Kellton developed this solution’s backend in PHP with a Laravel framework. They also used Angular for the frontend and MySQL for its database.

One of the key features of this product is that it is a multitenant solution to support a wide range of customers, for which Kellton helped us overcome the login complexities associated with that. As this is a paid service solution, it also has an administrative side to support end customers. As end users are technicians who aren’t necessarily tech-savvy, Kellton also integrated simple forms for them to enter the core data for the administration, allowing higher levels in the company to read that data.

Moreover, the heart of the product is to assure compliance for equipment owners. Depending on their geographic location, users have different compliance requirements, so this app helps them with that compliance. It tells them when they should go to check the equipment and what to do once they find the problem. It also has an engine to generate reports that users can then supply to the different government bodies that enforce regulations.

What is the team composition?

Kellton’s team changed over the years. At its largest, we worked with six people: a software architect, a project manager, three developers, and a QA engineer.

How did you come to work with Kellton?

I wasn’t involved in the selection process, so I don’t know how we found them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend around $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around July 2019, and the project ended in October 2022.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Kellton designed our system to standard modern practices. After they delivered it, we found that their team was helpful and responsive to support tickets.

How did Kellton perform from a project management standpoint?

Kellton was communicative and good at meeting deadlines. Although we had geographical challenges and an expected churn rate over the last two years, their team’s project management was positive overall. We used Slack to communicate, Microsoft Teams for daily meetings, and Jira and Confluence for task tracking and project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Kellton’s engagement level and rapid turnaround time were outstanding. Whenever we gave them a problem, they responded to it very quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Looking back, it felt like Kellton simply handed off the design part of the project to the architect. It didn’t feel like the team was behind this person, so it would have been great if they had followed up on the design work more thoroughly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don’t have any particular advice. Every project is different.

**The Review** — Oct 3, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton has developed a functional employment verification application that has automated tedious tasks and increased efficiency for the client's team. Kellton has met with the client twice weekly and managed tasks in Jira. The client has been pleased with the partnership.
""Developer effort is very good, often working late in our EST timezone to accomplish tasks within our schedule.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am CIO for NCS. NCS is a FinTech service provider within the Mortgage industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Kellton, and what were your goals?

Development of a very complex verification of employment application. This application supports processor with a single interface that engages customers and verification employers though phone, email, fax and web engagement. This application also supports several third party partner services to ensure a quick, secure and accurate verification process.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After working with Kellton on several smaller engagements, we were satisfied that they would do a great job on this larger multi-year engagement.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Human automation of an otherwise very manual verification of employment. The application must support all possibly customer and verified employer engagement and deliver a variety of completion reports delivered through web and API.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A team of 4 fulltime developers plus one project manager.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The application has been in full production for over two years. We continue to add new services to further speed up the historically slow and tedious manual employment verification process with increasing automation and efficiencies. Average manual employment verifications time has been cut to a fraction of the time prior to the application.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We meet with the dev team twice per week to review progress and new tasks. We use Jira for project management. NCS also uses LeapWorks to do QC.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Developer effort is very good, often working late in our EST timezone to accomplish tasks within our schedule.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We recommend that any engagement also include a fulltime Kellton QC specialist on staff.

**The Review** — Sep 16, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton has successfully built a robust platform, meeting the client’s expectations. Moreover, the team is highly efficient and skilled — they stand out for the ability and quality of their resources. They’re also very responsive and well-organized. Customers can expect a great partnership.
"“They’ve brought in the right people to deliver our solution.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Pristine Surgical is an early-stage medical technology company. We build systems around visualization and digital platforms related to that technology. I serve as Chief Product Officer for the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton?

We had a robust digital platform that wasn’t an optimal match to the market. We needed to reconfigure the platform to fit our customers’ needs better.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Kellton developed the initial system, so they were familiar with it and had the documentation in place. However, they didn’t have our perspective on how the platform should look to customers, so we initially talked through that and provided guidance. Through various conversations, we came to an understanding of how the system should be reconfigured. From there, they developed a three-phase approach to implementation, each with more subcomponents and phases defined by software specifications.

They develop the software based on our requirements; we review it and go through iterations until we finalize it. So far, phase one is complete, and phase two is ongoing. Currently, we’re starting to outline what we’ll do for subsequent software releases.

What is the team composition?

As we work together, they bring in more resources. We have a project manager, two developers, a QA person, and a UI specialist at the core. Other people have provided small fractions of their time and energy, and a client manager interacts with us and keeps an eye on our relationship.

How did you come to work with Kellton?

We had a preexisting relationship with them. We initially acquired the platform from Kellton, so we continued to work with them to reconfigure the system.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ll spend around $70,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2022, and the project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We keep a close eye on performance regarding budget, schedule, and the robustness of the software — everything has been bulletproof. They've met our expectations and built a robust platform. We’ve run it through its paces and couldn’t break it, so we’re pleased with the results so far.

How did Kellton perform from a project management standpoint?

They provide standard reports and the software application to test it. We have an excellent working relationship. Initially, we questioned how the UI development would be integrated, but they immediately responded to it and made some adjustments. Overall, they’re very responsive; the output has been excellent.

We use Asana as a project management tool, and they use something similar.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most pleasant surprise is the structure of resources they can provide. They have the right level of resources in terms of development and quality — all specialization areas match our requirements. They’ve brought in the right people to deliver our solution. For example, they have a program manager that leads more than our program, but we have his full attention.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

With any collaboration, the only challenge is the commonality of terms to get on the same page and understand the scope of work. However, you just have to go through the initial phase and establish the communication.

The team amenably used the client's preferred collaboration tools and worked in a two-week sprint cadence. Moreover, their vast resources and skills were crucial to the project's success.
""They had an incredibly deep bench of resources with broad skills.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CTO of an early stage startup.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Kellton, and what were your goals?

We hired Kellton to help us strengthen and automate a brittle, locally run set of scripts and algorithms. The goal was to ensure a component of our software was strong, scalable, and automated.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found them via a referral and also interviewed a series of other vendors. My decision was based on price, ability to bring in team with a huge variety of skills, and their ability to begin the engagement quickly.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project entailed a robust code review and collaborating on building an action plan. Once the goals and objectives were agreed upon, we prioritized the work and broke it into a series of epics and stories. We ran a 2 week sprint cadence and met 3x a week. We collaborated via a shared Jira board. The team developed in python, java, and laravel. Additionally, they provided a significant amount of AWS architecture support.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

6 people. Project manager, AWS architect, back end, front end. data science.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to create a fully functional, automated, cloud based pipeline, as required and scoped.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The team was amenable to be on our cadence and to use our tools, though they brought their shared jira board, which was great.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had an incredibly deep bench of resources with broad skills.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I found that the time to get up to speed was much longer than planned. Also, we did our best when we communicated via Jira AND in calls. When our communication broke down we had some gaps and challenges and delays.

**The Review** — Nov 19, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: With Kellton's (formerly Tivix's) help, the organization was able to develop their website and dashboard effectively. The team helped them figure out how to improve their platform. They were also highly communicative as they provided useful suggestions that showed they truly understood the client’s goals and needs.
"“They were helpful in guiding us through the whole process.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work for a nonprofit as a health and nutrition technical advisor.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We hired Tivix to develop our platform’s website and provide technical support.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix built the whole website and set up its structure, helping us improve its functionality and meet our needs. Our website was under the umbrella of an organization’s larger cluster system, and Tivix had worked under that system before; they used this as a starting point. Even though our website was similar to other websites within the cluster, its functionality wasn’t completely the same. With that in mind, our team provided Tivix with graphics, content, photos, and style guides.

On the backend, they helped us develop a dashboard that allowed us to monitor requests for support from end clients. Simply put, the dashboard was an internal monitoring system for us. The team also developed surveys and forms sent out to end users. They also did search function integration between our platform and another one that provided technical advice.

What is the team composition?

I mainly worked with Mariusz (IT Project Manager) and Mateusz (Junior Project Manager). I talked to them about the development pipeline and for plugging any bugs or issues on the website and dashboard. I was also in contact with their finance department for billing purposes.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We were referred to Tivix as they were already providing web support services to the cluster system.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $50,000–$70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This project lasted from February 2020–September 2021.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The dashboard worked well, although we had to update its functionality as we used it.

Going forward, we’ll be using the dashboard fully; we’re still onboarding people into how to use it and making sure everyone in the team understands its functionality.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

Working with Mariusz was helpful because he asked questions that made us think through options that we wouldn’t otherwise know. Moreover, the Tivix team let us understand what could be done easily and what would require significant effort and money. Overall, they were helpful in guiding us through the whole process.

Like in any other project, things weren’t always delivered on time due to unanticipated issues that came up during the development. However, when such issues happened, Mariusz was clear in communicating them. He’d tell us when they’d deliver the solution, explaining why deadlines were changed or what implications to expect. Nonetheless, the delivery of the dashboard and website upgrades we wanted was on time for the most part.

In terms of tools, they used Jira. To manage the guidance documents they wrote for using the platform, they used GitBook.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tivix understood what we needed from them, and they suggested options to us on what could be better and more useful for the project. Their communication was also great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, they were slow to update our GitBook or user manuals. As a result, their work would be delivered but there wouldn’t be timely guidance for me.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Foster an open relationship with Tivix, and be clear about your main objectives. That way, they’ll be able to guide and help you achieve your goals. If you have a close working relationship with them, you can reach out to them easily to get a quick response for any issues.

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton's (formerly Tivix's) work has resulted in high-level design mockups, meeting the client’s expectations. Their use of a glossary ensured both teams understood each other and the engagement’s goals. They were outstanding project managers, and their team was praised for being competent and personable.
""They were always on top of the engagement’s progress, and they always checked our availability.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Our company tests prototypes of mobile devices, and we help our clients bring their products to market. Specifically, we handle compliance with regulatory and industry rules.

I help manage our software innovation, including the internal development of applications for streamlining operations and test automation.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We needed to increase our resources as our team was stretched thin.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix helped us with the architecture workshop and design phase of a software development project. Unfortunately, due to ownership changes in our company, we were asked to put a pause on our projects.

During our workshop, Tivix lent their expertise to our team, and they helped map out requirements, gather user stories, and produce data structures.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Brandin (Product Specialist) and Sumit (CEO & CTO).

How did you come to work with Tivix?

Our executive VP met Tivix’s founder at a conference. Our options were limited at the time because we were looking for a very specific consulting team that could work on Python, Django, and ReactJS.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $11,760.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in December 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Tivix generated high-level design mockups. They were quite organized, and they had an excellent framework structure that they used to gather requirements, interview key stakeholders, and map out user stories.

I liked that they started with a glossary — they wanted to ensure that our teams were using the same terminologies.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

Tivix was very good at project management. They were always on top of the engagement’s progress, and they always checked our availability.

They were very accommodating, and they checked to see if we wanted to reschedule or had some difficulties. Additionally, their team was very competent and was pleasurable to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tivix’s organization was impressive — I liked the order in which they went through the requirements gathering as it had a nice flow. They started with the glossary, and that got a lot of the confusion out of the way.

Whenever I work with third-party consultants, they often don’t use the correct terminologies. As a result, we spend so much time fixing miscommunication.

Tivix resolved that by having a glossary and understanding what our goals were upfront. That way, we had something to go back to, and we could also ensure that we were staying on track with our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some of the structure for the requirements gathering was a little cookie-cutter; our needs didn’t fit into their mold. That said, I understood the need for creating that structure so they could achieve consistency in their deliverables. Overall, they did a good job adapting to circumstances.

**The Review** — Jan 25, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton (formerly Tivix) delivered a high-quality and functioning platform. The team was flexible and quickly pivoted when the client changed project requirements on multiple occasions. They clearly communicated various options and helped the client select the best course of action.
"“They were empathetic and thought about how our users would use the platform.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior director of project management for a home warranty and services company. We build provide software and manage partnerships with contractors that help deliver our on-demand home services.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

Tivix helped us build an internal employee directory tool with profile-building capabilities.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They used React and Node.js to develop a website that links to Microsoft Azure Active Directory. Users can access the platform through our internal web page and can search for anyone in our company. Each employee has a profile that includes information ranging from what teams and projects they work on to personal information like hobbies and sports teams each employee likes.

What is the team composition?

Anindya (Senior VP of Strategy) was our primary contact and Bonnie (Product) was our relationship engagement manager.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We wanted to develop this tool, but our resources were pretty limited, so we wanted to bring in a partner. I worked with Tivix on another project at my previous company, so they were already at the top of my list. We considered one company that we’ve worked with before, but they hadn’t done a lot of backend development work before.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $200,000–$300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on the project in January 2020 and the project concluded in August 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Although we haven’t launched yet, Tivix met their delivery dates. We threw a lot of changes at them during our partnership, but they adapted quickly. For example, we changed our internal policies on authentication, and Tivix responded very well. They responded quickly and were able to refactor how we went about authentication.

We also changed how we wanted personnel data to be pulled. Instead of using an LDAP query, we asked them to use Microsoft APIs against our Microsoft Azure Active Directory.

We had to cut a few of our low-priority features to make these changes, but Tivix was good at presenting the trade-offs of these decisions. They were very transparent in their approach.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

They used Clubhouse to manage the project. Then once they handed the project off to our team, they started collaborating with us on Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re committed to delivering quality work and they definitely care about the UX. They were empathetic and thought about how our users would use the platform.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have communicated what’s included in automation testing a little better. Also, this isn’t a negative thing, but rather is something worth noting — they use people from the US, UK, Poland, and India and people from different regions cost different amounts. For example, the engineers from the US are more expensive than the UK or Poland. However, the customer doesn’t have control over who is on their team. Still, Tivix delivered our project on-budget.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Put a lot of energy into the kick-off workshop because it will be worth it. They want to get on the same page with their clients, and this phase helps them define the scope of the project. The better the scope is defined, the better the product will be. New clients should set expectations regarding budget and timeline.

**The Review** — Jan 15, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton (formerly Tivix) successfully delivered an initial version of the innovative web product that stakeholders expect will significantly improve scalability. They understand not only development requirements but also business operations, resulting in successful collaboration. The team effectively communicates.
""They pair an ability to understand business processes with engineering talent."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a title and escrow company that has several branches. We formed a subsidy of that company to help automate our title research, ordering, and delivery processes.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We had historical problems with sorting, ordering, and extracting data from documents for every property that we underwrite. Recorders’ offices, which store these documents, are becoming more digitized. We needed to patch into their systems to more easily access documents and provide quicker turnaround times to our customers.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix developed a scalable web solution to address our two problems of processing and storing documents. They built a web platform that allowed us to migrate from a paper system to a Cloud-based, scalable system. Moreover, their team tied that system into recorders' offices' systems. This enabled us to automatically deliver recorded documents into the system. We don’t have to exit our system to enter into a local recorder’s system.

We’re hosting the system on AWS S3. Tivix helped us implement the project using a Waterfall OCR process to actually extract data from documents before entering the system. They built the web interface using Python. We’re just in user-testing of phase two.

What is the team composition?

We collaborate with a lead developer and a project manager. My team and I have also had direct contact with QA, UI/UX, and database resources.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

I had prior experience with Tivix. They were referred to me through a good friend of mine who also used their services. Between their willingness and ability to tackle our unique problems, it seemed like a great fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $150,000–$200,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our ongoing partnership around November 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The web platform will have a substantial impact on our ability to rapidly scale. Anecdotally, I appreciate working with Tivix. Their team digs into problems and understands our business processes to help design a system around our needs. There hasn’t been much technology developed for our space. It’s hard to find developers who not only are capable but also able to understand the business outcomes we want to drive.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication is great, and our project manager keeps us in the loop about their team’s progress without placing a burden on anyone’s time. We have 30-minute weekly update meetings, and everything’s documented within GitBook. Their team updates their tasks almost in real-time with Clubhouse. I can also give real-time feedback. They stick fairly well to deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They pair an ability to understand business processes with engineering talent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing jumps to the top of my mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We didn’t have a completely defined vision on our side when we kicked off the project. Tivix worked with us to put a scope of work together and define what successful outcomes would look like. In phase two, we spent more time upfront to define the phase’s vision. That made the second phase move quicker and generate better outcomes.

**The Review** — Sep 23, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The client was particularly pleased with the discovery phase, which they’re confident will deliver long-term cost savings. Kellton Tech Solutions has delivered exceptional quality and excelled at project management. Customers can expect a professional, responsive, and committed partner.
"“I really feel I have a good team of people on Kellton’s side. I highly recommend them.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of Send Mammogram. We offer an online service that helps women obtain mammograms faster than through the services currently on the market. Our aim is to help women get their images ahead of appointment times instead of after.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

I had prototype issues that I couldn’t solve myself with my current workflow diagrams. Kellton helped me figure out how I could solve the issues I couldn’t see technically.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We started out with a blueprint and a discovery phase. Kellton laid out the framework for the solution step-by-step, starting with the mobile app. They listed all of the features and pretty much everything a person would go through when using it.

Kellton is currently finishing development on the mobile app and website MVPs. We’re developing the app for iOS and Android, and the platform has a blockchain component.

What is the team composition?

Kellton assigned a project manager, a business analyst, developers, QA engineers, and designers to my project.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

They found me through their own marketing efforts. I reviewed their website and read their reviews. I found that they were one of the fastest-growing technology companies of the last few years.

One of their principals was traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, and he contacted me about a possible meeting. I shared my solution with him, and he thought I had a great idea. He talked about how he thought Kellton could help me, and I was impressed with the proposal. I got quotes from other software companies, and I decided to go with Kellton Tech based on the scope document they gave me. It was detailed and professional, containing the whole layout of the project.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost so far is $35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The discovery phase started in July 2019, and the project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their quality is exceptional. I've been very pleased. Going through a discovery phase allowed me to determine whether or not it was a viable solution before going into development. It saved me money in the long run. I was able to look at my product on paper from A to Z and determine if it was something I could actually bring to market.

How did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

This is where I've been the most pleased. They haven't missed a single call, and I can get in touch with them whenever I need to brainstorm something. I always look forward to my calls with them. They've been responsive whenever I need to change anything.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What they do exceptionally well is make me feel like a partner in the journey. I feel very connected to them, and they feel like the lifeblood of the project. As the customer, I feel I have someone there that can work with me as a partner. They help me brainstorm ideas on a moment's notice and execute on them. I'm not a very expressive person, but I really feel I have a good team of people on Kellton's side. I highly recommend them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I usually have calls with the project manager, and I've talked to someone on the development team. Having calls with other people on the team from time to time would be nice.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

They should make sure that they're on top of the emails from the developer and respond to them in a timely fashion. When Kellton sends an email asking for content, assets, or any type of information, getting that to the team as quickly as possible will speed up results.

**The Review** — Sep 14, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The product has performed well in user acceptance and white box testing. Overall, Kellton (formerly Tivix) provided excellent service. Despite collaborating with their partners during the COVID-19 pandemic, they met every requirement and milestone.
"“The company has done extremely well in delivering every single one of the requirements.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work for the NCI Agency in NATO. We have 30 international partners, and we are responsible for protecting over a billion people across the world.

I am the maritime service owner, which means I am responsible for all maritime IT services at the NCI Agency and that includes all the maritime commander and systems we have at NATO, our antipiracy systems, and our mine warfare systems.

Specifically, in this project, I acted principally as the product owner and also as the solution architect.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We were aiming to replace the existing system which is used by the International Submarine Escape and Rescue Liaison Office (ISMERLO). The current system has been used to assist with real-world submarine escape and rescue activities has been invaluable to the international community for many years, but was in need of a refresh.

Around the summer of last year, I had finished eliciting, documenting, and validating all of the systems functional and non-functional requirements and constraints of the project.

The challenge was introducing a new system to replace a well established and respected existing one. The system would be to help co-ordinate submarine escape and rescue activities when submarines come into distress. It's about how we plan and coordinate the rescue effort of a submarine.

This was particularly challenging because we were working with many non-NATO partners.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix was given the system requirements and told to come up with an effective design and solution that would be put into service.

The system is a Command and Control system, C2 system, or a C4ISR system. Command and  Control is a huge concept. There are a lot of different layers of C2. People typically focus on the operational level, tactical level, or executional level of C2 systems. This is higher up on the stack as it is a planning and coordination tool that effectively allows the user to coordinate any rescue or intervention of a submarine.

It identifies the closest assets to the distressed submarine and coordinates all of the rescue assets, rescue capabilities, and medical capabilities that may be needed to assist with getting people from the bottom of the seabed back to the surface through a series of escapes and rescues.

When I held the kickoff meeting, I needed them to understand why this was important. They needed to imagine that they were in a box with no lights on at the bottom of the sea, and the temperature is going down. They would be developing a system that would give people in dire situations hope.

What is the team composition?

Their team was made up of a sales manager, a product owner, a project manager, they had their principal technical architects and they had two graphic designers and digital designers, and they also have some testers. There were eight full-time developers on the project as well.

When they submitted their bid, they submitted it as being based in San Francisco where they had been based on Clutch. Most of the work has been done through their office in Poland. It is certainly not a problem for us, but the only constraint we had was that all the work had to be inside a NATO country because NATO was funding this. It could not be given to a non-NATO country. We principally have worked with people from Poland although one or two of their staff were based in Vancouver and New York.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

Through Clutch, I identified a couple of companies that I believed could help us with this project.

We had a very short timescale for this and it was a pretty small project. We wanted to find a new company with young, energetic, vibrant, and keen people with a reason to prove themselves for their careers. I also wanted a company that had worked on similarly sized projects.

I identified several companies through Clutch and really did my research. I used Clutch to read the reviews around the company, do my own research, and out of the 10 companies I identified, Tivix was one of those.

I reviewed their catalog to make sure they had done projects that were similar (in terms of size and complexity), and I noticed they had done some work with UNICEF. It had a good design and they stood up well. They appeared to have the quality and the complexity that I was interested in because the ISMERLO system had a very short timescale and it also was very complex.

Tivix delivered their bid to us and I was incredibly impressed from the start. They only had four weeks to come up with their bid and we asked for a lot of details. They were able to come up with a semi-working prototype of the system that we wanted.

They knew that this was a big project that could showcase for future clients, and that was very motivating. They're incredibly motivated and dedicated people to work with throughout.

How much have you invested in them?

They have been paid just south of €500,000 (approximately $600,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The contract was signed in late December last year, and my first face to face meeting with them was in their office in London in January 2020.

The project is due to be completed in November, and I am going to be in Poland next week with the team running, what we call, train the trainers, which is where we train some of the senior users to be experts in the system so that they can go off and train the community worldwide, and with 41 nations involved in this project, we need to send people all around the world to make sure that people are trained. The idea is to have project closure and final system acceptance in the first week of November. Then we are looking to enter into the maintenance phase of the project.

We are sticking with Tivix for the 2021 maintenance contract, which demonstrates how happy we are with the work done.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We tested 350 top-level requirements and they passed 348 of them.  One requirement was deferred from my request and one was a partial pass because I slightly changed the requirement partway through. Overall, this result is incredible. I have never seen that before either.

We had operationally capable system testing two weeks ago. I could launch this project into service right now.

We did user acceptance testing which was great, and users can’t wait to get their hands on the system. We are running security testing on the system.

To give readers an idea of the quality in terms of the non-functional requirements, they have been testing the system for five days solid and so far, they have not found any significant vulnerabilities and I have never heard that before for a system of this size and complexity. Our cybersecurity team is just about as good as you can get in the world right now, so they would have found an issue if it was there.

This system is not simple at all. There is a lot of highly technical detailed information in there, but Tivix has done extremely well; they've delivered every single one of the requirements.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

Despite COVID-19, our milestones have not moved up a single day. Every single milestone has been met exactly on time.

After a couple of months of development, we recognized that user requirements had changed a little. Tivix did a great job of incorporating our changes into the project without letting any milestones slip.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They opened up their internal systems for us to see all the issues they were working on and who was working on it and the progress.

Everything has been completely transparent and that has built a huge amount of trust in both directions. I always enjoyed working with the Tivix team right throughout the development process.

Their response time was exceptional. They are smaller and more agile than most of the companies I work with and so they are able to respond more quickly to our requests and provide feedback. They had a staging environment where we were able to see their development which has been updated every week. They have never hidden anything from else. We have worked on technical solutions and technical problems with each other together.

They are first-class in terms of quality, but I have been more impressed with how well they have stuck to their deadlines and how well they have embraced any change requests which we have brought in and understood that we are working in a fairly unique environment.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some team members matured and gained experience throughout the project. Senior members of their team stepped in if necessary and realigned people where they needed to be, but also at the same time, allowed the freedom for their younger members to speak their minds and express their views, which I appreciate.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It depends on what their project is, but if they are looking for a team of highly skilled engineers and highly skilled products owners and project managers who are willing to listen, deliver a clear quality product, are extremely patient a lot of the time, meet their deadlines for not a huge amount of money, I recommend Tivix.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re India’s leader in battery and inverter electronics manufacturing. I’m a senior IT manager for the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech?

We were entering the solar solutions market, and we wanted a good partner to create a complete digital strategy.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Kellton Tech designed and developed our solar solutions website. The site integrates with our channel partners and distributors in order to create custom estimates for customers.

The site is a combination of multiple technologies, including WordPress, Magento, AngularJS, and PHP. The team is also managing the security part of the solution.

What is the team composition?

We have an account manager for the business side, a project manager, and an escalation manager. There are teams for cloud configuration, UI/UX design, and technical development. There are 10–15 people involved in total. I mainly interface with the account manager and the project manager.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech?

They had done some work for us 10 years prior to this project. At that time, we found them through mutual industry connections. Kellton Tech was an existing vendor, so we included them in the evaluation for the second project.

We evaluated four other companies, both existing vendors and new ones, and we found that Kellton Tech had the right industry experience for our requirements. They’d worked for some large companies, and they had all the domain experience we required.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost so far is 12,000,000–15,000,000 Indian rupees (approximately $163,000–$205,000 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

The current project started in 2016, and Kellton Tech continues to provide development and management services. We’re continuing to make implementations based on what we discover from the market.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Kellton Tech is a professional digital partner, and we’re looking to get more solutions from them. Everything is working as expected, and we have no challenges to speak of now. They apply the latest security patches in time, and they’re always ready to update the solution.

How did Kellton Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

We have one dedicated project manager on our side, and one on Kellton’s side. They deliver as per our requirements, and we have technical discussions with them every fortnight.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As a customer, we always want more from our partners, and Kellton Tech is willing to accommodate whatever we’re asking for. They’ve done the best job possible for us over the last four years, and that’s the reason we’re continuing to work with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re good on the technical and project management side, but they could improve in terms of business development.

**The Review** — Jul 9, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Internal stakeholders are extremely pleased with the system, which has been a spectacular time saver across several processes and improved client engagements. Though the project was more complex than anticipated, Kellton (formerly Tivix) handled challenges well, remaining patient, professional, and trustworthy.
""Kellton (formerly Tivix) is a team of dedicated people who take a lot of pride in their work and in anything we ask them to create or do."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a legal services firm, and I’m our operations manager.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

Our company has been around for a few decades, and over that time, we’ve created a very complicated operational process. A lot of our day-to-day work was done manually, and we wanted to be able to scale our business in a more manageable way by leveraging automation.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix came on board to design and build a custom software solution that would help us improve our operational processes. We handed Tivix an extremely rough workflow, and from that, they designed a beautiful data model to build a solid workflow. They also handled the UX/UI components.

The platform hosts CRM, case management, email management, document assembly and management, accounting, reporting and analytics, and marketing functions for our company. It’s primarily intended for desktop computers, but it’s also accessible on mobile devices.

On top of the product having multiple functionalities, it was also designed to be accessible by several different user bases.

What is the team composition?

The number varied at any given time, based on what they were working on. However, we had one project manager throughout the project, two or three designers, a senior engineer, and about six other engineers. Two or three of those people worked on the project for the majority of the time we were building.

We also had a lot of access to Sumit (CEO & CTO), which was nice.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We considered a few different types of technology solutions before getting involved with Tivix. We met with all sorts of vendors prior to engaging them, and we met with Tivix when we eventually decided we wanted a custom solution.

The thing that stood out to us about Tivix was that they allowed us to work with the same team throughout the duration of the project, so they could really get to know our business. We knew it would be a big project and we didn’t want there to be a knowledge transfer issue. Tivix also assured us we’d have full access to their team with a direct line of contact, which was important to us.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our project kicked off in July 2018, and we just launched the first phase of the project in April. We engaged them for a second project, which they’re working on now.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product has saved us a lot of time. It’s shortened our workflow from 20 steps down to about five, which has made our operations significantly faster.

We have more access to data, which is really key in terms of engaging our customers and providing the best experience for them. It’s helped us create a more bespoke experience for our clients.

The UX/UI components of the product were the aspects that we gave Tivix the least amount of guidance in, and they did a fantastic job. One of the most common pieces of feedback we get from our staff is how wonderfully designed the platform is. It’s really intuitive, easy to use, and visually appealing.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

Tivix is the most accessible team. They’re very communicative and very creative. Sometimes, we’d go to them with an idea without knowing how to execute, and they would come back with a solution that, 9 times out of 10, nailed it.

Meghan (Product) is our project manager, and she’s excellent. She’s very organized, which has been important because of how complicated our project was. She’s been available late at night and over the weekends — she’s very dedicated to our engagement and really understands our business. The legal field is very paper-based and people can be tech-averse, but Meghan has been excellent at helping our team through the engagement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tivix is a team of dedicated people who take a lot of pride in their work and in anything we ask them to create or do. They never told us they couldn’t do something — if they didn’t know how, they would learn. The project ended up being a lot bigger than any of us had imagined, so that quality was really important. There were a lot of new challenges for their team, but they handled it well.

One of the most important aspects of the project was the accounting aspect. There was a lot of hesitancy to move forward with that part, and it ended up being a more complicated process than we’d anticipated. However, Tivix accommodated us very well, which we were particularly impressed by given that they’re not an accounting firm.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The most challenging aspect of working with them was understanding how the project was evolving and would continue to do so. Even that was more on our side than theirs. They’ve done a spectacular job — they’ve been kind, professional, and true to their word.

**The Review** — May 4, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The team’s efforts contributed to the acquisition of nine new customers, a number internal stakeholders are happy with in their B2B space. Kellton (formerly Tivix) was highly engaged with the project, collaborative, and excited to provide guidance where possible. Customers can expect a well-managed project.
""They were really interested in the product and determined to provide value."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a product manager for Beamery.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We had a low capacity in our development team and wanted to build a new product. We needed to do it fast, so we hired Tivix to support us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix developed a web app for recruiters and event coordinators in the recruitment domain. It helps them set up events, manage attendees, and communicate with guests. It’s an end-to-end product, featuring an event registration page, a check-in flow, and communication with guests pre- and post-event.

There was a lot of integration with legacy apps, which was sometimes very challenging. The Tivix team needed to learn the old apps, integrate them, and build the new app completely from scratch.

The app is also highly mobile-optimized, and Tivix participated actively in making sure that that experience was also well-defined. The app was built in React.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three people from Tivix’s team, including Greg (Software Developer).

How did you come to work with Tivix?

Tivix was brought on board before I joined the company.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent somewhere between $250,000–$500,000 on the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Tivix in July 2019, and finished in late April 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Tivix supported two of our major releases, and delivered very successful work, helping us acquire four customers in the first release of the events module. After the release, we sold the product to five more prospects, which makes nine customers in total. We’re working in the B2B world, so that’s quite a high number.

I think Tivix was the highest performer in terms of the number of stories they were able to finish within a sprint across all team members, including internal ones.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re amazing. I’m very happy about the collaboration. Greg was definitely a strong lead, and I’d be happy to work with him in any other project. Even though he was external, he made sure that the whole experience was aligned with the other teams. He eliminated cross-team dependencies as much as possible. He was very proactive, and I felt confident I could rely on him.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I always felt Tivix was part of our team. They were really interested in the product and determined to provide value. Everything they did contributed to that feeling of integration. The team was proactive and full of ideas. They always gave us guidance on how we could further improve the product, especially Greg. In general, the collaboration with our team members was very personable and professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was some feedback about one of the developers, that he was a bit tough sometimes in his conversations with the team, but it was nothing major. In general, Tivix was amazing.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Treat them as internal team members and share your business goals. You don’t necessarily have to share numbers, but you should share goals in terms of number of customers to acquire and make sure that the team understands them. That way, they’ll be inspired to build amazing products and sometimes to go the extra mile. Tivix did that quite a lot when we needed to release the product.

Along the way, the team has been exceptionally patient and communicative.
""They have an excellent ability to speak to us in a language we understand."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a director at Berrison LTD, a management consultancy that specializes in leadership training and team coaching.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We needed support building an online digital learning platform.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Kellton Tech Solutions is responsible for building the product. We provided the team with a wireframe at the start of the engagement, and they’ve taken over the development from there.

Though we’re only in the initial phase, as of now the platform itself is an interactive micro-learning solution that includes video streaming and text components. We use questionnaires and quizzes, and the entire learning process is gamified.

In the future, we’d like to explore machine learning capabilities as well.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked directly with four people: one primary point of contact, and three developers.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

One of our contacts, who we’d worked with previously, joined the Kellton Tech Solutions team, so we were familiar with their services. They visited our offices, and we ultimately decided they were a great fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between £50,000-£75,000 (approximately $64,000-$96,000 USD) on the project so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership began in August 2018 and is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still far from deploying the solution, but going forward it’s going to be a large part of our business. We’re confident that Kellton Tech Solutions’ work is going to impact us positively.

How did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very timely, and have handled all the delays from our end superbly.

Kellton Tech Solutions is an absolute delight to work with. They’re patient and have been mindful of aligning communication between our teams. They do a great job of paraphrasing and relaying our requests, which has been both useful and impressive.

We keep in touch through emails and Zoom calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We've been really impressed with Kellton Tech Solutions’ ongoing patience and understanding around our limitations.

They have an excellent ability to speak to us in a language we understand. As non-technical people, we’ve struggled with other vendors in the past who didn’t take the time and attention to make sure we were aligned in terms of what was happening in the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t. They’ve been superb.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go into the engagement knowing what you want. Make sure you’re prepared and clear about your goals.

**The Review** — Feb 26, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: With no plans to end the engagement, internal stakeholders are extremely satisfied with the quality of Kellton Tech Solutions’ deliverables. The team’s communication skills are above average, and customers can expect exceptional project management.
""For Kellton Tech Solutions, deadlines aren’t just a date — they have real meaning, and the team strives to meet them."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the managing director of Protected Trust Services. We offer a software solution within the travel industry that allows companies to manage new inquiries, control bookings to suppliers, provide information to consumers, receive payments, and manage licensing requirements in line with EU regulations.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We were looking to combine a multitude of systems into one product, allowing for the distribution of information throughout different departments, like sales, administration, or accounting.

This would allow us to aggregate consumer information and licensing requirements in one area.

We were starting at the ground level and needed support figuring out how to integrate multiple facilities and module requirements within one product.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

When we brought Kellton Tech Solutions onboard, we had a beta version of the solution that had been operating for about five years. Together, we ultimately decided to set that version aside and start building a new product.

We used ProtoShare to scope out the project work, and after sending it to the team, they responded with a quote, project plan, and milestones. They worked to develop knowledge of our industry, using user research we’d previously conducted to have a better understanding of how our product would work.

Kellton Tech Solutions started from the ground up to build the system, which operates mostly as a backend platform. The only frontend component is the consumer-facing portal, which displays information from the CRM system. We relied on the information we’d gained from the first version of the solution to determine the UI direction we wanted to go in.

What is the team composition?

We have one main point of contact who works with the admin team and the sales team. Aside from that, we worked with actual users on the beta version, who provided useful feedback we’ve been able to implement in new iterations of the solution.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We met them at the Travel Technology show in London. Eventually, I traveled to New Delhi to meet the team and ultimately decided to partner with them.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent between $200,000–$1,000,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Kellton Tech Solutions around November 2016, and the work is ongoing. We don’t have any plans to end the engagement.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve experienced two main benefits from working with Kellton Tech Solutions: the consistency of their staff, and the excellent project management team.

The communication, specifically of system requirements, between our main contact and the developers who are actually building and testing the portal has been excellent.

It’s clear that the team has a deep understanding of our product. We’re really happy with the platform they’ve developed.

How did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project managers are fantastic, and the developers are very skilled. There’s a lot of depth within the organization. When they don’t know something, they’re quite prepared to say it and find someone within the business who does. It’s very difficult to criticize them.

Everyone on the team is easy to communicate with. The developers use a screen sharing and board system that allows them to assign individual tasks. The project is divided into small, piecemeal assignments, allowing the developers to link smaller tasks into the larger system on a consistent basis, rather than doing it all in one go. We use Jira to track progress.

Hitting deadlines can be challenging when working on multiple modules, but Kellton Tech Solutions is consistently able to pull it off. If there is an extended deadline, there tends to be a very good reason, such as additional testing requirements or questions. If there’s a module that absolutely needs to go live by a certain date, the team provides extra resources to meet the goal.

For Kellton Tech Solutions, deadlines aren’t just a date — they have real meaning, and the team strives to meet them. That element sets them apart from other providers.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been consistently impressed by their level of communication.

Also, they’re very prepared and well-equipped to handle growth. They have impressive documentation in place to bring in new developers. As our team is growing consistently, they’ve given us the opportunity to develop the product at a faster pace.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on design, but we understand that we didn’t hire them for that. We brought Kellton Tech solutions on board to focus on the code, and they’re doing exceptionally well.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients should go and seek out Kellton Tech Solutions.

**Feedback Summary**: The solution has significantly decreased decision-making time and garnered positive feedback. Kellton Tech Solutions provided personal, hands-on project management and a development process designed to create a bespoke solution. Customers can expect smooth execution and original work.
""They truly understand the business problem and deliver a solution to solve it."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director for quality program management at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We had a very distinct need for a single source of truth for our data. We wanted to take that data from two system types and be able to collect it in an easy interface displayed on a dashboard that could be presented back to the sites and/or functions through visual display units or TVs. We wanted to bring up real-time performance metrics on service for those sites.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a very difficult brief concerning the constraints we had with procuring software from the mainstream. We had to go with some of the more readily available free-wares and maintain a very light touch.

When the app was ready, there were revisions to be made. We did a prototype where I was given access, so we went through it and gave comments and notes back and forth. Those notes were transcribed into issues for the team for them to work on and create a version two.

We went through 3 or 4 iterations in total to fine-tune it. What I had asked for by way of requirements was what I perceived the solution to look like through mockups. When the solution was actually delivered on screen, in terms of the end state functionality, we were able to take those minor adjustments and deliver.

What is the team composition?

I dealt with three senior managers and four SMEs and developers. There was a project manager on their side as well, which was key to working with such complex requirements.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

Through my own research and network. We’d used Kellton Tech Solutions earlier in the year on a more strategic initiative in relation to the IT functions. It was from that presentation and ongoing discussions of that engagement that I reached out for additional engagements. That resulted in this smaller, yet just as strategically important, piece of work.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January until March 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They built a solution that delivers data in a dashboard and shows real-time metrics. The measures of success are that we’re now making decisions based on that data and we’re making them faster than we used to. It’s been very successful, and we’ve gotten very successful feedback.

How did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

I was very happy with their project management abilities, which displayed at the offset. Having a project manager on their side, it really felt like we had somebody sitting beside us. That personal touch was very important for quick responses, understanding the feedback and business requirements, and translating that into a technical requirement. It was seamless and very well executed.

I was able to easily navigate from the general managers down to the functional heads. They were very approachable and pleasant to deal with. They identified the needs and the leads required to make this initiative. I communicated with them via phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They truly understand the business problem and deliver a solution to solve it. The vendor management and relationship management is very strong, and it was all backed up by their delivery. They don’t make cookie-cutter solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We are very regulated as a pharma company. They’re not as familiar with this sector as they are with others, so I would have taken the time to onboard the developer to our network. He would have been able to access our network a lot easier, making the process quicker. We ended having to connect in the developer as we went through the process, and that took a bit of time. That’s really on our vendor set-up/onboarding piece.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If anyone is engaged with them, you’re going to be engaged with digital transformation initiatives. Any initiative like that comes with a level of complexity. My advice is to be very clear about your business requirements. Understand the problem you’re trying to solve. The solution is only as good as the requirements.

**The Review** — Jan 24, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: All projects have come in on time and under budget, fulfilling the client’s main KPI. Kellton has established a collaborative relationship through its on-shore/off-shore model that utilizes in-person and digital communication. They’ve displayed impressive availability and software quality.
""Everything’s gone smoothly with them over these last 16 months."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and director of a software development company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton?

We had a client software development firm in Ireland that wanted us to enhance their delivery capabilities. We went to Kellton to subcontract the project.

Personnel availability was one of our challenges. This was all based in Ireland, which is a competitive market for developers. The budget was another challenge, and offshoring developers are cheaper, but the quality of personnel is really important. We wanted a consistent team as well, and one that could be quickly scaled up or down. If someone was to leave, we wanted to have alternatives lined up. All of those factors needed to be addressed.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Kellton provided everything from junior front- and backend developers to scrum masters, senior developers, UX designers, and project management. Effectively, it was personnel for all parts of the software delivery lifecycle.

We’ve worked with them on Java and AngularJS, and we use all sorts of continuous integration toolsets that go with those. We use SQL Server and Oracle Database too. We have a number of things running in parallel.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 12–14 of their staff, on and off. They’ve done work ranging from frontend development and backend Java development to UX design. They’ve provided scrum masters and full-stack developers, in and out. General technical delivery would be the summary of the whole thing, with all the roles required for that.

How did you come to work with Kellton?

They have European headquarters in Ireland, and I found out about them through networking. I discussed a couple of opportunities with them and got to know them fairly well. When this project came up, I was very confident that they’d be able to deliver, and that’s exactly what they’ve done.

How much have you invested with them?

Our budget with them is a high six-figure sum.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Kellton in September 2018, and it’s ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything is monitored on a project by project basis with our client, and the primary KPIs are the schedule and budget. Internal to that, there’s velocity per sprint, but the overall project success is measured by customer satisfaction, a timely delivery, and whether it fits within the budget.

Kellton has succeeded on all of these fronts on every project we’ve gone through. We’ve been thanked very graciously by our client as well. A couple of the projects we’ve done have been the biggest successes they’ve had in software development. The end client is very happy, and that’s reflected in our continued relationship with Kellton. The team is being expanded even today.

How did Kellton perform from a project management standpoint?

One important thing is that Kellton has a presence in Ireland, as well as being offshore. Representatives and personnel from their company have traveled and worked with our client in Dublin for around three months at a time. Communication isn’t only electronic, though. They’re available on-site when needed, and their representation in the country is very useful. We have senior management from Kellton meet with us and our client once a month, as well as being available on the phone any time we want. In terms of day-to-day communications, there are standup meetings every day and scrum meetings every two weeks, conducted over Slack and Zoom.

The fact that they’re available whenever we need them is extremely useful, and the fact that they onshore means that we can meet regularly. We can get on top of anything, should any escalation be necessary, but that seldom happens. All the projects they’ve worked on have come in on schedule and under budget. We haven’t had any issues with project management at all.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality standard of the software they deliver is excellent and doesn’t need much in terms of rework. The communication is also good. The people in the teams we’ve worked with are quick to understand the requirements. It hasn’t been an issue we’ve experienced ourselves, but I know from other people who are outsourcing that language can be a barrier, and it really hasn’t been, which is great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not at this stage. Everything’s gone smoothly with them over these last 16 months. That’s a long time for a honeymoon, but it’s still working out pretty well. The collaboration is steady and predictable, and I’m pretty happy with what they’ve done so far.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

One thing that helped was getting the offshore team to the client’s office for a period of time to understand the context, individuals, and organizational culture. I strongly recommend that people engaging an offshore team from Kellton bring the people onshore for an induction period. We’ve done that with around 70% of the team, for a period of around three months each time. We also visited Kellton in India, which was worthwhile as well.

#### Custom Software Dev for Defense Contracting Platform
**The Project**

**The Review** — Jan 15, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Moving transparency in this step-by-step project, the team was able to showcase their superior development skills by continuing to provide top-tier development resources with diverse skillsets. Regular communication and thorough discovery meetings kept all parties on the same page.
"“Every single one of their resources was an outstanding contributor to the effort.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a company that collaborates with the UK Ministry of Defence and the Australia Ministry of Defence on their barcoding projects. I handle sales, operations, and product management for the typical project account.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We had an internal solution that was built in Excel and SQL. It allowed users to view their tasks every day through file transfers. It worked for internal purposes, but we wanted to make it accessible to customers. Our goal was to make it more web-enabled so we could utilize it for clients. We didn’t have the internal resource to manage this alone.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The platform is able to function by allowing our clients to speak directly to production. They can relay their locations and have all units order from us on the site before verifying and validating for barcoding reasons.

Then, it communicates with our ERP system, makes tags, and ships them out, and allows clients to install them. They used Python and Django as well as React to product the solution. After completing the main part of the development, we moved to a retainer model where we spent most of our time correcting bugs and adding smaller features.

What is the team composition?

The project has been completed in two separate stages. In the first, we had a product manager, an architect, and a few developers. For that year, we had a full team before moving to more of a retainer model. At that point, we’ve worked with a number of people on smaller projects.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We found them during our online research process. Our company approached them and was impressed with their abilities. We hired them based on that knowledge. My colleague found them and viewed them as an industry leader in technical work. Because he had the technical knowledge to make that claim, I decided to support this decision.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $500,000–$1,000,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2016, and our teams still collaborate on an ongoing basis through our monthly retainer.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

From our point of view, they set a very high standard with the quality of their work. At times we were concerned with skilled resources leaving the company over time, but they continued to hire the best of the best. We never missed a beat when new people joined projects. Since our launch last year, we’ve been very successful and have earned a few new clients. Overall, the project has been successful.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very good. Originally, they asked us a lot of questions about what we wanted from them. At the end of week two, they presented their thoughts on what they thought we wanted, and it was very close to our concept. They’re very good at understanding problems, scoping the effort, and thinking through complex variables.

This was a complicated project, and while there were mistakes along the way, they figured things out through excellent communication. When we were doing a lot of development, we met three times each week. At this point, we meet biweekly because there’s less going on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The caliber of their employees is phenomenal. Every single one of their resources was an outstanding contributor to the effort. They hire to a very high standard, giving them one of the best teams I’ve seen in the consulting world.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The most difficult thing about digital transitions with older companies is making sure that your team is educated on technology upgrades. Companies like us can be naive, not knowing all the complexities of the development.

Sharing that information would be helpful because it would’ve given us the foresight we needed to be more comfortable undertaking a project like this. However, they do an outstanding job from a pure development point of view.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t skimp on the initial scoping of the project because that’s the best money you’ll spend. We were on the same page from the beginning because of the understanding that we built in that phase. Our team was nervous to do that, but it allowed us to get on the same page early.

**The Review** — Jan 14, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The client has been pleased with Kellton's (formerly Tivix's) work thus far. They’ve proven to have a robust knowledge of the financial world, a fact that differentiated them from other companies early on. While some communication could be improved, they’ve been flexible and accommodating of the client’s needs.
"“They’ll go above and beyond to accommodate your needs.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a financial advisor at Alpha Blue Ocean, an investing firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We wanted custom software that would replace our process of manually inputting data into Excel.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I gave Tivix an overview of my desired functionalities but gave them free rein over the design. I just wanted something clean and basic that could be easily used.

They’re now building the software—which we hope to use for over a decade—from scratch. It includes CRM capabilities, as well as a backend database that can be easily manipulated. With it, we’ll be able to manage the contact details of every client and prospect. It’ll also streamline finance systems and business processes like Profits & Losses (P&L) calculations. While I’m not aware of the full scope of their technology, I know they use Pico.

What is the team composition?

I worked with two project managers, two engineers, a designer, and 2–3 additional team members.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

I met with 10–15 different software development teams over a two-month period. Tivix was the most expensive, but they seemed to have the best understanding of the financial world.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $200,000-$300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2019 and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

While development is still underway, I’ve been very pleased with the work they’ve done so far. They’ve provided great advice along the way. They’re not mere yes-men; if I ask for something but they know that something is better, they’ll offer improvements and alternative suggestions. I really appreciate that.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been impressed by their flexibility. If you need a daily meeting at 8 AM, they’re happy to accommodate that. They’ll go above and beyond to accommodate your needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The discussions about the timeframe and cost could have been more lucid. I had a hard time understanding the cost, at the very beginning. I had to write everything down and inquire about details multiple times.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d recommend them for their flexibility.

VP of Product Management, Accucode

- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Nov 8, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: They’ve outperformed other augmentation firms by remaining client-oriented and creating high-quality products that do well in the marketplace. They’re willing to supplement additional team members to meet timelines and provide specific expertise. The team facilitates an effortless partnership.
"“They put a lot of effort into making sure they’re meeting expectations.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the VP of product management at Accucode, a system integrator. We do a lot of different projects, including traditional IT reselling, wireless networking and networking in general, 3D printing, and drone and software development.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We have very high standards because our internal staff is excellent; it’s hard to find people who are in the same ballpark as our development team. We’ve worked with other outsourcing development partners in the past with mixed results.

When we need to develop new customer or internal products and don’t have the internal bandwidth to do so, Kellton Tech Solutions augments our team.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve done multiple software projects with Kellton Tech Solutions, and we’re getting ready to have them quote another one. They do both partial and complete projects for big enterprises.
These projects vary in nature; Kellton Tech Solutions has done everything from mobile app deployments to more hybrid solutions, where they create a new software app that has desktop as well as iOS and Android components.

In our work with Kellton Tech Solutions, we tend to utilize open source components. We use Java quite a bit.

What is the team composition?

We keep a core team of about eight people from Kellton Tech Solutions on staff. We work with project managers and QA specialists. We also work with different types of developers, depending on what we’re doing. For instance, we do a lot of integrations with accounting systems, and Kellton Tech Solutions has developers that specialize in that area. They also have people who are more UI-oriented.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

Accucode is a multi-national corporation, and our AI group is located in Ireland. Kellton Tech Solutions is headquartered in India, but they also have some of their employees, including a VP of sales, in Ireland. After a few conversations, we began working with them.

Kellton Tech Solutions has a US presence, but I’ve never interacted with their US team. It’s been great working with them out of Europe, and I continue to work with that team from a project management perspective. Their developers are in other areas of the world, and it seems to work out just fine. One of the key things about Kellton Tech Solutions is that they’re a Java shop and also good with both Apple and Android.

How much have you invested with them?

My company has probably spent close to $400,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We initiated conversations around June 2017, and the collaboration is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

What I like about Kellton Tech Solutions is their customer-focused attitude. They want to make sure that we’re happy. We deal with large, complicated software projects, which means issues are inevitable. Kellton Tech Solutions works hard to take care of these problems, and they’re willing to add extra team members to a project to ensure they meet the set timeline. They put a lot of effort into making sure they’re meeting expectations.

From the very beginning, both their VP of sales and I have wanted to establish a partnership, as opposed to a customer-vendor relationship. There’s success for both sides if we’re able to create successful products. For instance, if they develop a product that doesn’t meet the needs of the marketplace, I’ll stop engaging them for development services.

It’s in both of our best interests to have a successful product that generates growth and revenue so that we can continue funding additional development work. This is a simple dynamic, but it’s amazing how many people out there don’t focus on establishing a relationship in that way. Kellton Tech Solutions strives to establish an ongoing, long-term partnership by creating a great product that people love.

How did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve performed very well and have been better than the other outsourcing firms we’ve worked with. I wouldn’t keep going back to them if they weren’t meeting our expectations, and we’ve done multiple projects together. They make it easy to work with them. The team adapts to time zone differences. We have multiple meetings each week with them to ensure that we stay on the same page. I don’t just engage with the project managers; I often speak directly with the developers over the phone and explain any issues we’re having or what we’re trying to accomplish.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a good range of knowledge within their staff. They’ve done a lot of different software projects for other companies, and that knowledge is useful; for example, if I need to do an integration with SAP, they’ll bring in the person on their team with that specific expertise to provide advice. Sometimes, they’ll even put that person on our development team to help with that particular part of the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, I’m very happy with what they do. They put a ton of effort into their work and try to meet expectations. Regardless of whether you’re working with Kellton Tech Solutions or somebody else, getting good requirements in place is hard. I will say that they’re willing to put in the hours to get the requirements right. For the last project, we went well over the allotted time period to define the requirements. They put in the time to ensure the requirements were done correctly, without charging us extra.

Any advice for potential customers?

Treat your work with Kellton Tech Solutions as a partnership. The more invested you are, the better the outcome will be. Make sure everybody is on the same page and focusing on the same goal.

**Feedback Summary**: The resulting product has won four awards. Initial issues with product quality improved once QA was added to Kellton Tech Solutions' workflow. The team is highly driven and willing to invest significant effort to meet stakeholders' expectations.
""One really positive aspect of the project has been their commitment."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the development manager of a refrigerant tracking firm. We specialize in refrigerant leak protection and energy monitoring products for military and commercial customer bases.

I’m responsible for the hardware and software development teams that generate our products. This is split into physical product design, manufacturing and development, and a software product. We have a web portal that goes alongside our physical product. It allows our customers to see the information collected from all of our equipment located in various installation sites.

They can see various metrics from that system and receive automatic alerts about events they may be interested in. For example, since we manufacture products that detect refrigerant leaks, the web platform allows customers to subscribe to be notified when a leak is detected. They’ll get these notifications via email or via a dashboard in the system.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

The product we have is about 10 to 15 years old. The technology is outdated, and the product has evolved rather than being designed from the ground up.

We didn’t have the ability to scale that legacy platform very easily. As we grew and won more customers, it was difficult to scale the platform because of the way it was structured.

It has become big, complex, difficult to maintain, and difficult to extend. So, we made a decision to start from scratch and redesign the system from the ground up.

We wanted a partner that could help us determine the most appropriate technologies and tools to use to develop the system. We also needed help designing and developing it.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Since we wanted to make the web application easy to maintain and scalable, so they recommended that we use Microservices Architecture. They also recommended that we use Angular for the frontend and Laravel Lumen for the backend.

Previously, the web application was one large codebase with lots of different modules interlinked together. Microservices architecture allows us to split the system up. It’s compartmentalized into a collection of very small services that communicate with each other through APIs.

Each one of those services could be running on a different server around the world. You can have as many different servers as needed, and there could be many different combinations of services running on them.

An arbitrator sits above those servers and targets your traffic to wherever it’s best served. It is very scalable and very maintainable.
We had a pretty strong idea of what product features were required, and we didn’t really need any assistance in that respect.

What is the team composition?

The team size flexed over the duration of the project. We started with four people, and we had nine people at its peak.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

Our product manager was involved in finding the candidates for us to review, so I can’t comment.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent around £350,000 (approximately $449,440 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in September 2018, and the work is still ongoing.

The work will continue, and we’ll continue to use Kellton Tech on the same system. But now, it’s less of a formal project as we’re moving into the sustaining period. They’ll also be involved in another project that deals with adding a major new feature to that platform.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product that Kellton Tech helped us develop has won four awards. We had some issues with quality, which is a reason the team size increased. We realized we needed some quality assurance from their team. Once that was in place, we saw the quality improve. However, the delivery times were longer because the QA had to be implemented on their side before we saw it.

How did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Initially, we didn’t have a project manager on the team, and we realized fairly quickly that we needed one. The project manager did a good job of managing their team.

During the project, our internal team had resource issues, meaning we couldn’t feed the right level of details to the Kellton Tech team. Since there were these issues with resourcing and design input from our side, they were kept waiting. Consequently, the implementation didn’t happen as quickly as it should have. Or, if it happened it wasn’t as we needed it because we hadn’t defined it clearly enough.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This is the first time I have worked with a partner in this area, so I don’t have a reference to compare them against.

One really positive aspect of the project has been their commitment. During the first phase of the project, which was a really intense period of development with a hard deadline, they worked more hours than I would have liked. They worked very hard and long days to complete it, and that was really appreciated.

In the end, we were a couple of weeks late, but had they not put in that effort, we would have been a couple of months late. We made changes in phase two to ensure they didn’t have to work in that way again.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Quality is the main thing they could improve. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the resources to back up the work they’ve done.

Ordinarily, I would expect to do our own quality checks, but because of the time pressure of this project, we’ve had no opportunity to do that. So, we’re in an unpleasant situation of not knowing the code as the system is built out.

As a result, we’ve become aware that the code isn’t ideally structured. For example, we’ve seen evidence of sections of code being reproduced elsewhere rather than being reused. If we were to run the project again with more resources, we would have spent a lot more time reviewing the code quality.

Also, their developers seem to be a little quick to mark a task as complete. Rather than doing their own testing and reaching a point where they’re confident in the code, they send it to QA right away. Within a few minutes, QA finds a problem and sends it back to the developer. This leads to longer development times.

I asked the project manager and management team to encourage their team to take responsibility for their own development rather than developing something quickly, handing it off, and moving on. They should pay close attention, make sure it’s working correctly, and then hand it over for QA testing.

**The Review** — Jul 1, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: The amount and value of loans made to customers have increased dramatically since the engagement began. Consistent communication and responsiveness are hallmarks of their work. Kellton's (formerly Tivix's) ability to retain and hire top talent makes them a valuable partner.
""Kellton (formerly Tivix) is definitely a key contributor to our success. They provide a lot of consultative value."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the senior director of software engineering for a FinTech company. We provide unsecured personal loans to US consumers. I support all the product teams that represent our apply and origination domains.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We began a relationship with Tivix at the time our company was founded. Tivix helped us launch our company by creating our original loan application web funnel where nothing existed before.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix provides ongoing professional services and software development. Originally, we provided wireframes for our initial website, but it was pretty lean, serving only a single marketing channel. It's evolved quite a bit to cover multiple channels with numerous funnel formats and elaborate conversion functionality such as AB testing frameworks.

Tivix utilizes Angular 7 for our front end and Django on the backend. They also complete a fair amount of WordPress PHP development on our marketing website. Additionally, Tivix supplements our internal capacity to cover larger UX design initiatives. Generally speaking, Tivix is very integrated into our organization. We have ideas and they help us execute on them using whatever skills and capacity make sense to do so.

What is the team composition?

The team size ebbs and flows, but generally averages around 12 people.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We knew of them from existing relationships with our founders of the company. Having the referral was good enough for when we were trying to rapidly start the company. Plus, they were open to the risks associated with working with a startup company. They continue to be strong in their ability to deal with changing requirements as our business grows.

How much have you invested with them?

It's between 1–2 million per year. I would say in total that we've spent approximately $7.5 million dollars.

What is the status of this engagement?

Work began in January 2014 and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The bottom line is that we are still in business and doing well. We're both profitable and growing in terms of the number of loans that we’ve provided, which sets us apart from a fair number of our competitors. We feel quite accomplished that we've lent over seven billion dollars since our inception.

Tivix is definitely a key contributor to our success. They provide a lot of consultative value. They’re a very strong addition to our cross-functional team of developers. They’re well integrated with our business stakeholders and engineering staff. They’re part of a collective force that helps push our agenda forward.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

We manage a lot of the project ourselves in terms of backlogs, feature development, prioritization, and timing. We make those decisions internally with feedback and insights from Tivix on scoping and effort. I interact with some of their leaders more frequently, but generally, all their developers are part of our cross-functional team.

For communication, we use Slack, Pivotal, Confluence, and email. Slack is probably what we use most often. It has its strengths and weaknesses. Both our teams are geographically distributed across time zones in the US and Canada. As a result, we need a digital communication method that is relatively fast in order for it to be useful.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their individual talent is most impressive. We've always had strong engineers working on our account. Their ability to retain and hire good talent makes us quite happy.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. There are always opportunities to improve, but it’s generally more about the circumstances at the time as opposed to the organization as a whole.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don’t think it would work well if your organization has strict lines between internal and external teams, where engineers are managed at the administrative level. Tivix is fully integrated into our business. Having continuous interaction and communication at all levels is much more collaborative. I can only imagine that would be useful to others as well.

**Feedback Summary**: The application has increased process efficiency and reduced time spent on basic research tasks. Kellton (formerly Tivix) is adaptive and knowledgeable, frequently making adjustments that are in line with shifting requirements. Customers can expect transparency and commitment from their team.
""Kellton (formerly Tivix) is communicative and empathetic, and their team dedicated time to become familiar with our processes."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a senior product manager at an alternative investment firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We hired Tivix to make one of our asset acquisition processes more efficient. Specifically, we wanted them to build an application that would consolidate available information and predict returns on individual assets.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They created a product that compiles and displays information about our assets. The application gathers this data from various websites and through several integrations.

The product also calculates the potential yield for each asset based on this information. We’ve now extended the scope to include building more tools in the application that will support our business.

What is the team composition?

There’s a backend person who writes most of the code and an integrations specialist who writes code around each data source. There’s also a frontend person who makes the data accessible and the interface user-friendly. Also, there’s a project manager who oversees the development and conducts testing on the product. I communicate primarily with the project manager and Sumit (CTO, Tivix), who runs point on certain things. Sumit isn’t involved on a daily basis but will clarify issues and jump in when tasks become urgent.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We have worked with them in the past on separate ventures and knew they could help with the new project.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in December 2018 and is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s too early to quantify the impact that their work has had on our revenue. That being said, we've seen an increase in efficiency. Our data gathering process used to take us anywhere between eight hours to four days to accomplish. Through utilizing the application that Tivix built, we’ve reduced that time down to five minutes.

The whole process is streamlined, and everything now resides in the application. We can also easily and quickly find out our potential yield from assets across each market. Their work has reduced our analysts’ information gathering workload from 10 hours to two hours a week.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been extremely flexible and accommodating. Our investment team changes their minds fairly quickly, and Tivix has been able to keep up with our fluctuating requirements. They’ve also been upfront about the effects of these changes. They let me know whenever they expect delays.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tivix strives to fully understand our business. We’ve had experiences with other teams where they’ve pretended to know our company and don’t understand our needs. Tivix is communicative and empathetic, and their team dedicated time to become familiar with our processes. Their team is also realistic and hardworking. It’s hard to find people like them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not at this moment. I’ve had a very good experience with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Explain your business to them. We learned from our last project that, if you describe your services to them, they’ll be much more able to meet your business needs.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work at The Macerich Company. We're a national mall and shopping center operator. We have 47 shopping centers and malls around the country, which are mainly concentrated on the west and east coasts.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We needed additional development resources and we decided it’d be more efficient to outsource a development team. We were looking for a vendor that had both experience and the insight into technology innovation.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They've helped me with a number of different projects. First, they developed a platform that enables retailers to look at data and analytics concerning the activity in their physical stores. They also handled the data visualization project for us, helping us use third-party data to sell the value of our properties.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with a product manager, who was our main of contact, a lead architect, and an engineering lead.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We interviewed a few different firms and we chose Tivix based on the quality of their work, their experience, and the pricing.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Tivix in June 2018 and the relationship is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They delivered everything they had promised. We had a specific request in our RFP, but they helped us discover new approaches and new opportunities during our development process.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

They did an excellent job. They used Jira for project management and we had daily stand-ups. I was overseeing the project myself and I was happy with their process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're very focused, efficient, and proactive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you're looking for a well-rounded development team, reach out to them. They're a great partner and they'll become part of your team.

**Feedback Summary**: A reliable codebase and mostly bug-free environment provide an optimal foundation for future development. Kellton (formerly Tivix) fostered collaboration by providing a series of project management tools and ensuring accessibility via multiple channels. Their committed, passionate team is especially noteworthy.
""Kellton (formerly Tivix) is full of attentive people that were genuinely interested in helping with our project."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of Curate With Me. We’re a consumer-facing website that connects shoppers with expert recommendations.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

They took over revamping our website from a vendor that couldn’t finish the project on time due to scheduling conflicts.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix continued the work started by another agency and saw it through to completion. When they started, we were redesigning the existing website. After doing a code review and resolving several outstanding bugs, they started developing new features, allowing users to follow trusted curators and interacting with lists in different ways. Their work concluded with user testing and more bug fixing.

Fixing frontend bugs required them to work transition some our HTML, CSS, and JavaScript pages to React.js. They also addressed a few backend issues. The backend system is written in Django and runs on AWS with an RDS database.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

A friend recommended them to us. We interviewed 3–4 different agencies but Tivix had the right ramp-up capacity. I spoke with Sumit (CEO, Tivix), their project manager, and one of their New York-based developers and had a conference call with a designer and senior backend engineer. During that call, I presented our problems and plans for new features and listened to their initial approach. This gave me confidence in their abilities.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $100,000–$150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2018 until February 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product is stable, and the few bugs we have aren’t critical or significant enough to need to resolve. The codebase is easy to maintain moving forward, so we’re well positioned to develop new features.

I’ve worked with four agencies in the last two years, and my experience with Tivix has been the best by far. Part of it is because they’re a smaller team and used a lot of collaborative tools. Additionally, their Python expertise and DevOps teams were a great match for our AWS system.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

While other companies I’ve worked with use internal tools or tools that came as part of software packages, Tivix used open-source solutions that were well-integrated into our process. This allowed me always to see what they were working on, where they were blocked, and what questions they had. We used Waffle.io to track progress and GitHub as a code repository. We communicated via Slack and had biweekly, in-person meetings or conference calls. InVision was sufficient for discussing and agreeing on mockups.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Though we had a singular project manager, it didn't cause communication bottlenecks. If someone left a ticket in Waffle.io, they could tag me and I could address their issue on my phone or computer. Additionally, I enjoyed how much they brought me into the process and empowered me to collaborate in real-time. Their adherence to timelines and budgets was also outstanding.

Ultimately, however, it’s all about the people. Tivix is full of attentive people that were genuinely interested in helping with our project. Personnel is what I look at first when I consider a company and Tivix ranks highly. They were simply a pleasure to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Though this isn’t unique to Tivix, and it’s only a minor issue, it’s all I can think of. Our final milestone dragged past the timeline, so some of our resources were pulled onto another project. Therefore, their responsiveness decreased (15–30 to a day). I’m not sure how to solve the problem, but I wish it could have been improved.

The team is thorough in all aspects of development and communication. They succeed in providing a boutique-like and individualized experience.
""They’ve always executed for me. They go the distance to make the product the best it can be."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the global leader for a pharmaceutical company focused on animal health.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We were starting to explore digital applications within our company, but we were unable to use internal IT resources. I hired Tivix to serve as an external development team as we created a lean startup model within a corporate environment.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve built a team with Tivix as the development backbone. I have other resources located in London, San Francisco, New York, and Poland. Together, we’ve built a very complex Platform as a Service, which connects to a care model where we’re collecting patient data and sharing it with the healthcare provider and other key stakeholders.

The web stack includes Python’s Django, and we’re building mobile apps for iOS and Android. Our engagement includes a lot of experimentation. I had to prove to our company that I could introduce a Silicon Valley-style product into the healthcare space and make a difference. To do that, I’ve relied on Tivix’s ability to iterate quickly and develop code with very few defects.

What is the team composition?

I can add additional layers depending on the workload and what we’re trying to build. The team size has exceeded 20 people at times.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

I worked with Tivix at previous stops in my career.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in May 2012 and remains ongoing. They’re a consistent partner that integrates into our team.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I can’t share any specific numbers, but I can confirm that they build high-quality products. They have a fast delivery time and very few application errors. When compared to other developers, it’s clear that Tivix has a superior standard of how they code.

With their help, I’ve been able to prove to my company that these products can be successful. We now have a number of digital products that are transforming how medicine is delivered.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been great in every respect. We’re in constant communication—whether that’s in person or through email, texts, or phone calls. Their frontend designers can easily forecast the product from a user perspective. The technical managers help me work with commercial partners. There is always a roadmap to our success.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve always executed for me. They go the distance to make the product the best it can be.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. If they were a larger development firm, I think we’d lose a lot of what makes them unique. I appreciate who they are as a boutique firm with Silicon Valley experience.

I’m a project manager at a global nonprofit that helps provide food and human resources to communities in need. In my division, we implement technological solutions to encourage partnerships with civil society organizations around the world.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We wanted to create two complimentary portals that would help us manage and work with civil society organizations on a global scale. Because this was an inter-organizational effort involving three agencies, we needed a development firm that could work with multiple key stakeholders to execute the project.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix created two portals, handling the design, development, production, and support. The first portal basically hosted our RFP process. With the solution, our agencies could post calls for expression of interest (EOI) from civil society organizations. These calls would typically seek providers who could supply goods or services for humanitarian purposes. Organizations who wanted to partner with us could then submit proposals before we’d make our selection. By registering with a profile, organizations could also keep up to date on EOI opportunities across our three agencies.

The second portal would manage the documents about the partnerships. Here, civil society organizations could see detailed files on the parameters of their work in addition to reporting and tracking their results.

For both projects, Tivix led the development process, translating high-level business requirements into technical specs and testing the portals. They’ve since deployed the EOI portal and are now providing ongoing support. We’re still pilot testing the reporting portal but expect to go live soon.

What is the team composition?

Their team consists of project managers and developers, though the CEO is also involved. He’s a hands-on person with a strong technical background, so he’s knowledgeable about our project.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

I joined the project midway, so I’m not sure how we first found them. However, I believe we’d already had a long-term agreement with them. They’d performed well on a previous project, so we considered them first when looking at development firms.

What is the status of this engagement?

Their work on the portals started in January 2017 and is ongoing. We’ve launched the EOI portal on November 2018 and expect to finish the reporting portal by December 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We recently went live with the EOI portal, and our partners have responded positively. Over a thousand organizations have registered on the portal, and we’re already seeing EOIs across multiple countries. We expect to have over 4,000–5,000 participating partners for each of our three agencies.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

Tivix had a strong, full-cycle development process, assigning a dedicated project manager to every project. We had weekly calls to clarify requirements used a ticketing program to keep track of tasks.

I particularly appreciated the team’s collaborative attitude when it came to navigating our three agencies. Since we’re an NGO, we use a different feedback cycle than the private sector, which can be challenging. So, they suggested a hybrid agile approach: during the requirements phase, they followed a waterfall methodology; we’d then transition into sprints for the main development. Every few weeks, they’d showcase their work and incorporate our feedback for the next demo.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Despite the challenge of working with three agencies, Tivix maintained a collaborative environment. There were several instances when we couldn’t agree on anything; we’d often revisit requirements and change the scope halfway through, which delayed the project. As a result, their CEO would fly in and lead sessions to facilitate conversations. It was reassuring to know that we could reach out to him to help work through any issue.

I’d also commend their problem-solving skills. Tivix is a capable firm that’s committed to producing results. They understand how to transform business requirements into technical solutions. Once we explain our needs, they’re able to quickly create a mock-up, which helps us identify solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, they’ve delivered great work, but their testing and QA process could improve. At times, certain parts of the solution weren’t fully tested on their end, so we needed to send them back. Spending more time on in-house testing would help mitigate redundant work.

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton (formerly Tivix) produced a final product that’s flawlessly functional and has yet to experience a crash. The team innovated impactful methods to yield creative deliverables and rapidly respond to unexpected issues. Flexible and willing to adapt, they changed resources to fit the customer’s needs.
"“Kellton (formerly Tivix) was a team of willing and able partners. They could instantly change direction at any time.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the president of a technology company that is developing consumer apps.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

As a startup, we needed a partner to develop our products for us. Tivix created our mobile device-based meeting application from scratch. Most professionals use Outlook or Google to organize their schedule. Our product offers an alternative for people who don't use either platform heavily or prefer not to mix business and social commitments on one calendar.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

As Tivix created our mobile app for iOS and Android from zero to completion, they brainstormed several creative avenues to pursue. We maintained an open dialogue and worked collaboratively to create wireframes. They took a fluid and flexible approach, rather than keeping things set in stone. Occasionally upon reassessment, we’d redo feature sets they'd developed when they found a better option. The team was willing to take chances and experiment to find the best possible solution.

Tivix built our mobile app for iOS and Android. Rather than being associated with an email address, it's strictly based on a phone number. The core features include a chat component, calendar, and scheduling functions. When a user sends out meeting invitations, the program indicates who can attend based on which parties have accepted, rejected, or haven't replied yet.

Outside all the technical requirements for our app, Tivix also supported our digital marketing and branding efforts. We’d been making some cosmetic changes to our branding at the time. We selected color schemes and designed icons and logos together, including the main one for our company.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We searched online for companies that offer app development. Tivix had an impressive client list, so I conducted a one-on-one interview with their CTO that proved fruitful. I went to meet the team in person and liked their set up, which wasn't too big or too small. Their multiple locations provided some latitude for arranging meetings. Along with their office in San Francisco, they have one in New York that's very easy for me to get to.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $400,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our collaboration in October 2016, and it's still ongoing. We’ve finished the product, but Tivix is still on board for support with tweaking and troubleshooting. We work with them on a monthly basis, and they charge based on the number of hours they work.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My most significant challenges have related to marketing, not to the product itself. The mobile app Tivix delivered is quite good. We haven't experienced any crashes so far, which would be the worst problem to have.

Now and then, we faced some unexpected challenges. For example, India legally requires SMS messages to be classified as transactional or promotional. Tivix has been very responsive to issues of this kind. They’ve quickly resolved unexpected problems we encountered along the way.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

One of our project managers was less flexible than the rest of the team. Tivix eventually replaced him, but this situation hampered development somewhat. When the new project manager came onboard, everything about the process improved from there on out.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I most appreciated the team’s flexibility. Tivix was a team of willing and able partners. They could instantly change direction at any time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should take a little more care when developing budgets. I understand that the budget for a new product can't be immovable, but I wish they’d made me aware that it could vary a significant percentage from the number they initially provided. That's just the nature of this type of project, though.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?
We needed a partner to supplement our engineering team and to work on platform and UI dev for a few different financial technology projects.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tivix has worked on a range of projects over the past four years. They’ve done smaller pieces of larger projects but also taken responsibility for full platforms and other, more complex assignments. I’ve used Tivix as an extension of my own team, including for design scoping and development.
What is the team composition?
I work with the CEO.
How did you come to work with Tivix?
The CTO at my last job knew them well, so we began working together. We approached them with a large, complex project, which they were able to quickly break down and show a path to completion.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost ranges for each project, but we’ve typically spent between $100,000–$1 million per project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been partners since May 2013.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their work is top-quality and always done right and on time. Tivix is so integrated in our process that it’s hard to tell where our team’s role ends and theirs begins.
How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?
Tivix is responsive and meets our needs. The frequency of our communication depends on the project, but they’re always willing to adapt to our schedule.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Tivix isn’t afraid to take on hard projects. They provide support when needed and get the job down right. Recently, we had a relatively complex project that needed senior experience, and Tivix delivered something in a short time frame.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Give them access to as many of your projects as possible. Be open to them adding value in a variety of ways.

**Feedback Summary**: The team delivered a functional product that received exceptional feedback for its original utility. Kellton's (formerly Tivix's) agile approach and accommodating nature enhanced the experience. They were highly creative and fairly priced.
""The product was not only functional but also exceptional by today’s standards."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the director of product development for a medical consulting company that educates patients on their upcoming surgeries.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We didn’t have the software development talent in-house, or the ability in our rural area to scale that type of project. We needed a turnkey solution for a UX/UI engagement platform. For some patients, our system is only needed once, so the design needed to be user-friendly and have an easily manageable backend.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

In a full-stack development effort, Tivix did a clean canvas review that led to user stories for the platform. To complete a minimal viable product (MVP), they developed prototypes, mock-ups, and had a bucket list of features that we wanted to include. The team then coded a multi-tenant open platform solution that allows medical practices to upload, license, or subscribe to content. The solution tailored each patient’s UX to their specific surgical needs. Documentation features helped doctors meet medical standards and enabled patients to track progress.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with the owners, and the CEO and founder.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We interviewed several different vendors and selected Tivix because they were the only ones the only firm interested in a partnership.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent approximately $400,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them on the MVP between June 2017–February 2018. Currently, Tivix maintains the platform and we handle product-to-product migration in-house.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product was not only functional but also exceptional by today’s standards. We got incredible user feedback because the platform provides patients with information that doctors don’t always convey. We expect to get more results after further testing.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

The end product evolved over time because we did something original.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tivix accommodated our needs to make the development process go smoothly. My company tracked the changes they wanted to make, but we collaborated with one another like partners. We maintained a healthy relationship and they gave us a fair price.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We did not have any issues. Constant communication was the most important aspect of our relationship and they excelled at it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tivix is best suited for clients that are looking for a partnership, as opposed to a contract vendor. Their forte is helping customers find creativity and then leveraging it. Let that creativity flow and treat it more as a partnership.

**Feedback Summary**: Kellton (formerly Tivix) delivered a solution meeting all specifications under strict budgetary constraints. Users have responded positively to the platform, specifically praising the simplistic presentation of such a complex model. The team’s smart and effective approach has helped bolster this on-going partnership.
""Kellton (formerly Tivix) always delivers the highest value no matter the price point."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the Founder and CEO of Terra Global Capital. We are a company dedicated to providing scientific and technical consulting for forestry and agricultural projects around the world that have climate change mitigation benefits. We also source and manage investment funds for those types of projects.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We have worked with Tivix on a number of different projects, however the largest was a web-based platform and mobile app quantifying the amount of greenhouse gas emission reductions resulting from changes in rice farming practices in California and the Midwest.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix was able to design and develop both the web platform and mobile application we were looking for. The platform is able to quantify the changes I mentioned under strict international standards. It also required the efficient collection of numerous types of data including fertilizer type, location, harvest date, etc. The data then had to be input into a bio-geochemical model, error checked, and converted into a readable format. Suffice it to say, the project was extremely complex, but Tivix was able to prepare everything, run the model in an easy and efficient way, and manipulate it in a manner that made it presentable.

We provided Tivix with a summary of what we wanted the platform to do and the type of data that would be collected, and from there they were able to design and develop it. Any time we began a new stage of the project we would meet to go over the design before they would take over. It was a very collaborative and effective process.

What is the team composition?

We have worked with around six team members, included a senior designer, some of the company’s principles, and at least two developers.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

A member of my team had met with them some time ago, so when we were looking for a development company we reached out.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested around $250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2014 and continue to do so.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have experienced very positive feedback from our users. Those who understand the complexity of the model have been amazed by how we were able to take something so complicated and put it in a form that can be used efficiently.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

They are very good at communicating and are always responsive to us. They are both disciplined and flexible when things come up unexpectedly, and are always able to accommodate our needs. We often have in person meetings, but will also communicate through Slack or over the phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I have worked with a lot of different developers throughout my career, and Tivix is by far the best at designing smart and effective functionalities. What they create is generic enough to build upon in the future, but also thoughtful and effective. Additionally, a large amount of our funding comes from grants with very specific requirements on how we spent our money, however Tivix always delivers the highest value no matter the price point.

Any advice for potential customers?

I would encourage anyone to research Tivix and hire them. They are a great company to work with.

**Feedback Summary**: The finished site boasts a streamlined backend/frontend design and exercises the business logic reliably. Kellton's (formerly Tivix's) attention to detail, emphasis on transparency, and generosity with time contributed to a fruitful relationship.
""Everything was delivered in the way that I wanted.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of a lead generation website primarily in the personal finance space. We source users through SEO [search engine optimization] and paid marketing. When users come on the site, they tell us a little bit about themselves in a form. From there, we have a backend rule engine that matches them to the best solution provider. We get paid a commission when someone buys a solution in that way.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

Our designer and I had all the frontend design, user flow, and the business logic but no code. We didn’t have a working prototype.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They built the platform originally from scratch. The rule engine on the backend was the most complicated. It was straightforward, linear type of logic in which you have to account for thousands of different possibilities and the answers for a set of questions. We mapped it out and grouped those in 10 or 12 different segments. What was most complicated around all of it, and most useful for me as a non-technical person, is the way that Tivix built out the admin. It’s like a standard off-the-shelf admin, but there’s a lot of CMS [content management system] work with Wagtail. They had to change the code so that I could actually edit it; that stuff is really annoying. They built all that out for me, knowing that I wouldn’t have a CTO directly after, so I would need to be able to change the logic, text, and copy. The solution is well thought-out and useful.

A team of 3 from Tivix worked on this. We interacted regularly. We had a daily standup call and an in-person meeting every 2 weeks or so.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

We reached out to Tivix because they had worked with other financial services and fintech companies before. In addition to that, they were mostly onshore. They were an indirect referral. I’m in the investment space, and I looked at a company that they had worked with in the past. That company spoke highly of them. It was very nice to go to their office, speak to them, and get to know their leadership team, including the folks who would be working on the project. It was a pretty straightforward screening process. I talked to between 5 and 10 other development shops around our site, and I felt that Tivix wouldn’t do the bait and switch that’s prevalent in the dev shop world where they say you’re going to get the CEO of the firm and the best people here. But, before you know it, it’s someone’s first project. They were straightforward and honest about what their lead developer/CEO was going to do and which team we’d be allocated. That was unique and ideal, in my opinion.

How much have you invested with Tivix?

It’s around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August of 2015. The project took about 4 months.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The work was very much a success. We went over budget a little bit. I suspect that’s normal and would happen anywhere. Tivix worked with me to make sure it wasn’t company-crushingly over budget. Everything was delivered in the way that I wanted. The result was very user-friendly. They explained everything well to me. The website has a pretty clean frontend design. The deliverables included a road map of what they did. We had some questions afterward, and they’re generous with their time in terms of answering them. It’s definitely a very good experience. I’m one of the few proponents of outsourced development, especially building early products through this channel, because I actually had a good experience, whereas most people in my world have a pretty negative experience with a lot of cutting corners. I thought they did a great job. I can’t compare their productivity or performance to another company since I’ve never used a different provider.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Basecamp and Slack. Slack is where we spent the vast majority of our time. I don’t think we did anything over email. We had video calls. I live in Los Angeles, and they’re in San Francisco, so the entire team is onshore and working out of their office. I was there about 10 days cumulatively going through things, which was really helpful.

What did you find most impressive about Tivix?

Their lead developer/CTO spent a lot of time with us. In general, his involvement was crucial as an access point and a go-to advisor. I would suspect that’s unique in a shop that has a number of different projects ongoing at the same time. I thought that was really useful.

Are there any areas Tivix could improve?

My only constructive criticism would be beefing up the transition aspect of moving the work to an in-house team. We were asking for help a lot, so it would be an interesting package to offer to have a live document or a day where they could implement the transition. They were generous with their time on the phone. No 2 developers are the same, so we had a lot of initial confusion because the documentation wasn’t built for people who don’t do things the way they do.

What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Tivix?

Come in with a defined scope, very limited functionality, and an understanding of what functionality is needed because anything open-ended won’t turn out well.

""It was extremely straightforward and easy to work with [them].""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

In addition to FormForce, our family owns three service businesses with operations throughout California, proudly employing over 600 people. We set forth to conduct business safely, responsibly and ethically in diverse industries with customers who share these same key values. We currently have customers in the energy, agriculture, government services, healthcare, property management, financial institutions, education, and transportation industries. These industries are very safety-sensitive and require the highest level of accountability, transparency, and compliance.

In accordance with our annual Continual Improvement Plan (CIP) and the priority to constantly differentiate ourselves from others, we have invested and implemented technology solutions into our business. Operational control is important so that we can maintain our core competencies of safety, service, support, and supervision. Technology and our other layers of accountability help us ensure that we keep the promises we make to our customers in all of these areas.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

Many of our customers audit our company’s performance at varying rates and gathering that data throughout our organization proved to be challenging. We knew every time we were tasked with an audit, it would take six weeks to sift through boxes, file cabinets, and databases, hoping the data was there, legible and complete. Four years ago, we decided to it was time to improve the process. We started with where the challenges existed, where could we improve, where could we increase our operational control, etc. We believed technology could help us solve some of these issues.

Our CTO spent some time researching available software applications, but it became clear it would require multiple platforms to accomplish our goal of comprehensive compliance. We wanted this platform to be easy to use, and having to log in and out of multiple applications was not an issue we wanted our employees faced with. Multiple applications decreased the efficiency, kept the information scattered across the database and led to inaccurate data. In addition, they didn’t provide real-time access to our field employees and they couldn’t generate notifications. It was time for us develop our own software.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

With assistance from Tivix, FormForce was created as a web and mobile application based on compliance. Tivix was integral in the development of FormForce from the beginning, offering guidance for application development, suggestions for the proper framework and process mapping. Tivix was extremely helpful in successfully translating the core concepts and functionality we wanted the product to have and translating that into a working product on the web and mobile side. We wanted FormForce to be completely customizable so it would fit our unique businesses, but we discovered through the development process that this could apply to virtually any business struggling with compliance. At that point, we decided to think outside of our organization and take FormForce to market.

Tivix was tasked with designing and developing the web and mobile applications, as well as initiating and maintaining the database behind the applications. They continue to be involved in maintaining the platform, performing enhancements and feature sprints.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

After identifying we would be developing our own solution, we narrowed down development firms based on geographical location. Through online research, we identified several medium and large firms worth interviewing and began that process. Ultimately, we decided to move forward with Tivix because they shared our work philosophy, we connected with their culture and felt like they had the broad experience to assist us in achieving our goal.

How much have you invested with Tivix?

We have invested a significant amount of resources with Tivix and towards FormForce.

What is the status of this engagement?

We first began working with Tivix in January 2014, our application launched in the Apple App Store in January 2015. Our relationship with Tivix remains ongoing; we work with them continually on application maintenance, feature enhancements, and full feature sprints.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

A lot of our original meetings were onsite with the Tivix team. During this period, we would map out the core concepts, processes, and data flow. From an operations standpoint, we had to identify what our goal was, map how we get there and then go through the effort of closing any gaps in the process. Tivix was excellent at walking us through this; we felt like they understood our end goal and that was crucial to keeping us on track.

During development, our team at Tivix consisted of approximately six members. Since the application launched, our team has consolidated down to 2–3. We have had consistent team members throughout the development and maintenance process, which has been great for our organization.

Working with Tivix was extremely straightforward and easy. Their employees are very talented and had a great work ethic. We truly feel that this is what made this venture successful. One of their slogans is, “Get stuff done.” This is essentially what we expressed as the goal for our project during the interview. We appreciated their focus on getting a product and a result that works. Tivix was organized, they provided tools to help us communicate, track ideas and progress when we weren’t meeting together.

What did you find most impressive about Tivix?

We know plenty of people who started similar projects but did not achieve similar results. It was critical for our other businesses that we have a realistic timeline resulting in a fully functioning product. They were great at avoiding scope creep and challenging us continuously on this. If we wanted to shoot for the moon and add new features, they would rein us back while also meeting our goals and expectations.

Are there any areas Tivix could improve?

There have not been any challenges that we couldn’t work through pretty efficiently.

**The Review** — Apr 14, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: In the two years since the site launched, monthly traffic went from nothing to 2.5-3 million users. Kellton's (formerly Tivix's) global resources can respond rapidly at any time of day. Their broad-based expertise and keen listening skills have made up for the client's level of experience with technology.

""They’re really good at delivering what we need as we describe our priorities."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a media company with digital-only news on sports, entertainment, health, and business. It’s geared towards the Philadelphia market but also has a national footprint. I’m the director of product development and ad operations. I run all the product site and development cycles through our partners and anything to do with our advertising efforts

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?
We were looking for someone to build our site and our CMS platform.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tivix customized the CMS for our needs but it’s based on an open source platform. We wanted a platform that would be simple for new users to learn and use. We’re built on Django and they also used Wagtail, which is a simplistic CMS platform. We incorporated Google Analytics, DoubleClick for Publishers and other analytics software. They’ve built out custom feeds as we pull in feeds from different publications such as Associated Press. They built an engine to pull the feed in, sort it and quickly publish it live with the click of a button.
In regards to the site, we were looking for a narrow set of templates to manage as we launched an MVP and built out from there. We wanted something quick and something that was easy to manage but that could handle a lot of automation. We had a lot of tags and topics with a lot of dynamically generated pages. Not every page needs to be manually touched for it be filled with content.
Tivix continues to handle all of our DevOps for us. They help us keep the site and the CMS updated as changes and problems come up.
How did you come to work with Tivix?
We did a search of the market to see who would suit our needs.
How much have you invested with Tivix?
We have spent between $50,000 and $200,000 over the course of our relationship.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in August 2014, and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
We’ve reached 2.5 to 3 million users per month. We launched in January 2015 and we were at zero users at that time. The growth we’ve seen took place over two years and three months. There have been down times, but it’s never been long. Tivix helped us identify the issue and once we figured it out, they worked with us to solve that problem.
How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?
In the beginning, we used more of their team but we've used fewer resources since six months post-launch. We have a primary project manager who handles the vast majority of things we need. They pull in different people from their team as needs arise. We’ve never been lacking in help that we need. They have people located all over the world, and that’s been nice for us: we’re centered on the east coast so we have coverage during the hours that we need someone. We asked a lot of them and we had a lot of people involved on our side. They’re really good at delivering what we need as we describe our priorities.
What did you find most impressive about Tivix?
They’ve done everything well. There’s been mission creep but they’ve always delivered what they said. They delivered a complex product for a new site that’s up 24/7. They’ve done a great job of listening to our needs and helping us create what we were looking for even when our message was unclear. They helped us sort through the various disparate messages and ideas to create a product that we were happy with.
Are there any areas Tivix could improve?
I only wish we would have done better on our side to know things or say things differently.
What tips or recommendations could you share that might increase the likelihood of success with Tivix?
Have a well-thought-out plan of what you’re looking for. They helped us greatly to figure out what we needed but it would’ve streamlined the process if we had a sense of what we wanted and what our end goal was. Our business changes monthly but it’s good to have a sense of what you want to roll out in 6 months to a year and what that structure should be.

**The Review** — Feb 1, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Project management is a key strength rivaled only by their team's technical and strategic aptitude. Kellton (formerly Tivix) became proactively involved from the very beginning and consistently made valuable product suggestions that would eventually be implemented.
""Kellton (formerly Tivix) was hands down the best [consultancy] in terms of talent, communication, and meeting deadlines."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Muster is an online application that serves associations and other organizations by helping them create online advocacy campaigns that are data and analytics driven. I’m the president and founder of the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

We had a very extensive database already in place that was essentially the engine behind the Muster app. However, we didn’t have any product or solutions with features wrapped around the database. That's when we decided to develop and implement that product ecosystem around the existing database.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Tivix built version one of Muster with an interface and the analytics suite. They also determined the business logic of how the app would actually serve associations. We did a lot of wireframing and they built the whole workflow of how a campaign is created and then managed thereafter. Tivix came up with the email infrastructure that delivers the call to action to all the members and supporters of this organization. It’s a nicely designed email that says, “Click here to take action.” It’s web-based, and they used Python and Django to create it. The copy is written by all the customers, so we built the template. Our database matches people with the appropriate target based on their address. They also built the analytics suite that records everything so our customers, who are associations and charitable organizations, understand the efficacy of their campaigns.

How much have you invested with Tivix?

We’ve paid $300,000 for their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2014. The project timeline was about a year and it was completed 18 months ago.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The key performance indicator we look for is engagement rates. When our customers are sending out these emails, they want to see people not only opening them but also actually going on and taking action. If you look at the competitors in our space, which are VoterVoice and CQ Roll Call Engage, they have these benchmark standards. Not only were we meeting all these benchmark standards with the first version that Tivix built, but we were probably exceeding them. It all comes down to engagement with our business—we were getting numbers we were expecting and even better. They had some great solutions. At the time, we were very pleased with what they delivered, not only with the design but the execution of the frontend UI.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management part was rather easy. They were very clear in their communication. When they said that they were going to deliver something, they did so on time and it always was within reason of what we talked about. We used Basecamp, Pivotal Tracker, and Google Hangouts in our management.

What did you most impressive about Tivix?

I've worked with a few consultancies and Tivix was hands down the best one in terms of talent, communication, and meeting deadlines. When it comes down to it, they met every deadline and accomplished every goal we’ve set out to accomplish.

Are there any areas Tivix could improve?

I had zero problems working with them. As far as I can tell, they really are top-shelf.

**The Review** — Jan 31, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Project deliverables always exceed expectations in terms of defect rates. Discovered bugs usually take only hours to fix, which is rare to find. Kellton (formerly Tivix) also spends considerable time and effort developing an agile culture within their team, which definitely pays off for customers.
""I believe their company is built on agility, and I like it.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work for a tech company. I'm the co-founder, and I primarily work on the more technical side–engineering, development, product design, and hardware and software. My partner, the other co-founder, handles the business and strategy side of things.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Tivix?

Our company is actually the parent firm of multiple smaller ones. Some of the LLCs that they're working on are MetConX and SportConX.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I work with 2 points of contact. The team ranged from 4–12 people. I provide a functional stack, and they come back with their suggestions. On the sports side, they created an app for a company that had integrated with sports games. They had a social app back-side similar to Facebook, so it had a social aspect to the app. The other parts like chat and streaming were simple, which I wasn't too concerned about. They were heavy on the database side, which I liked. They're also heavy into going into logic and artificial intelligence, which was pretty much the single differentiator.

How did you come to work with Tivix?

I did research online and found they were the only company that had touched on all aspects that I needed. The product itself had many variables, and they had experience in every single variable. We interviewed them. I asked them what they were strong at, and they pretty much came out with it. There was no faking it. They were very upfront about their skills and limitations.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them 12–16 months ago [late 2015 or early 2016].

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

What I liked was their mean time to repair [MTTR]. Every time I find a bug, they're quick at finding the root cause, fixing it, and getting a patch out. The entire failure-analysis side of it—they can whip out stuff in anywhere between 15 minutes and 2 hours. The hinge would be how quickly Apple can get the next build in. That's what I liked about them. They also were prepared compared to their peers on defect density. They either met or exceeded industry norms with low-defect density.

How did Tivix perform from a project management standpoint?

It's been easy to manage them. We first started with twice a week, and it's been so smooth that I moved it to once a week. We use cloud-based systems like Pivotal and another bug-tracking system. I could always hire someone else. It's up to me. But, so far, their team has been solid.

What did you most impressive about Tivix?

They're agile. I believe their company is built on agility, and I like it. For example, if I said, "We're gaining traction on this app, and I need Android and desktop versions built out. Send me a quote, and when can it start?"—which is something I've done a couple of times—every time they've come back and they're like “We can start that in as soon as 2 or 3 weeks.” If you need velocity, they could scale.

Are there any areas Tivix could improve?

I can't think of any.

""Kellton Tech's team was quick to respond to our changes, some of them major."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a healthcare-related startup currently operating in stealth mode. I am the president and CEO of the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We needed to develop our company's website. We aim to provide web-based solutions, so the site will be an important part of what our company is.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Kellton Tech Solutions is developing our website. We've had many discussions around our technology options. In our first meeting, Kellton Tech proposed an architecture which we didn't see as a right fit. After deliberating, we chose AngularJS, JavaScript, and Django Python as our technologies. Kellton Tech arrived at the same conclusion.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

Kellton Tech's senior VP of marketing for the US is a good friend of mine. Even so, I wanted to make sure that the company had the right expertise and scale for delivering our expectations. We talked to several companies before deciding that Kellton Tech was a good fit. We visited their offices in India and had discussions around our plan. After the groundwork was completed, we negotiated a price and selected Kellton Tech.

How much have you invested with Kellton Tech Solutions?

I cannot disclose this.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Kellton Tech in October 2016. We have started our fifth development sprint, with 2 more to go.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The product hasn't been launched yet. As a startup, we receive feedback constantly and have fast-evolving requirements. Kellton Tech's team was quick to respond to our changes, some of them major. From a success point of view, this is a good example.

How did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We receive status reports at the end of every sprint, showcasing what was accomplished and what is planned for the next sprint. We have conference calls and in-person meetings with Kellton Tech.

I have a background in IT consulting and have managed large programs, so one of my first questions was around how the collaboration would be managed. I was assured that the pushing will be done from Kellton Tech's side, and that they would be proactive on the project management front. I was happy to find that the team came up with the right questions, and were proactive in looking at requirements and discussing issues ahead of time. This gives me a lot of confidence in their capabilities.

What did you find most impressive about Kellton Tech Solutions?

I am very happy with the proactive nature of Kellton Tech's team, and with the effort they've put into researching issues, proposing alternate solutions, and discussing them with me.

Are there any areas Kellton Tech Solutions could improve?

I would appreciate having access to a portal for checking the project status. We've only started working with Kellton Tech 3 months ago, but I've been very happy with the team so far.

""What sets them apart is their commitment to their customer and the availability of a good pool of resources."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

FirstRain Business Analytics Platform enables high-quality decisions by executives, sales, marketing, and finance professionals. For over 10 years, FirstRain has assisted Fortune 500 companies in building their go-to-market strategies, creating smart context-aware lead generation campaigns, discovering and developing new sales opportunities, and identifying business risks.

I am working as senior program/product manager for FirstRain. I maintain the overall product roadmap. I own the product feedback and work in close collaboration with the customer support organization and enterprise sales team. I also closely monitor the trends and feed the same into the product roadmap. Besides this, I am the go-to person for clear visibility for executive management at all times on what is coming in releases as well as the broader product outlook. I’m responsible for efficiently managing the Agile product development cycle of the FirstRain product which consists of a web app and mobile apps for iOS and Android.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We were rolling out a completely revamped product, and one critical need was to update our mobile apps also in time for the launch. We lacked the resources and skills to get this done in-house. Our previous mobile partner was acquired and no longer available. So these were the key goals for finding a new partner who had the skills, manpower, and experience of building a product of our nature.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

For the launch, we had to completely rebuild our native apps for iOS and Android. The timeframe available was around 4 months to do so. We required native app development, testing, design, and business analytics services.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We received a list of recommendation from our previous vendor. We went through a rigorous selection process in which we asked each new possible vendor to do a proof of concept for us. It was a time-based, small project. Besides that, we looked at factors like size of the company, pool source, and previous experiences of app development, customer profiles, and intent to work for us. It was critical for us to find a vendor who would understand our dynamic and slightly demanding needs. Those were the key decision criteria. Kellton fit us the most.

How much have you invested with Kellton Tech Solutions?

The initial major project of building our new mobile apps, which we continue to engage with them for enhancements and maintenance, had a cost between $40,000 and $50,000. We had a 8 member team: 1 project manager, 1 business analyst, and 6 developers (3 each for iOS and Android).

What is the status of this engagement?

It was an 8-10 week project in order to launch the new apps. The new apps were launched/published in November 2015. After that, we have continued to work continuously with Kellton in a much scaled down way for incremental enhancements and bug fixes.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The project was successful. Our primary goal was to make our new mobile apps live with our revamped web app. We were able to achieve it.

What did you find most impressive about Kellton Tech Solutions?

In my opinion, what sets them apart is their commitment to their customer and the availability of a good pool of resources for both iOS and Android platforms. I have also found them very fair in billing practices.

Are there any areas Kellton Tech Solutions could improve?

I think one area for improvement I see is where more focus needs to be given on doing more than what the explicitly said/discussed requirements. What I am trying to say is that we look at them as a technology partner and not just executors of requirements. So more suggestions, best practices, and options for building better solutions need to come more from their technical team.

**Feedback Summary**: The rebuilt products have been a noticeable improvement from the previous product. The client acknowledges a trade-off when outsourcing many time zones away, but Kellton has consistently made themselves available at all hours.
""They saved the product. I couldn’t be more satisfied."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

SpryTech Solutions is a software product that powers a client called Doorstep Delivery. The software itself is a management tool for any kind of courier service, but specifically for restaurant delivery.

I’m the COO of Doorstep and the project manager for SpryTech Solutions.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Kellton Tech Solutions?

The product was built by another firm but it was not successful. We moved to Kellton to rescue us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We needed them to take over the emergency support and high-level support. They built new products for us and manage the SQL servers. The first project was to rebuild brand new native iOS and Android apps from scratch.

How did you come to work with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We knew we were leaving our tech company so we got references and did interviews. We spoke to many firms, but they were the ones we felt most comfortable with. The knowledge transfer took about 6 months because the company that had built our software had no documentation. They were great throughout that process. Considering the situation, it was as organized as it could’ve been.

How much have you invested with Kellton Tech Solutions?

We’ve spent at least $100,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the knowledge transfer in March 2015 and began work in October 2015. The project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Our native apps are better than they were. The ratings are higher and the crashes are down.

How did Kellton Tech Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done very well. There have been moments of high-stress emergency but that’s not attributed to them. They were handed a project written with old code and many issues. We use JIRA to manage the projects and Skype to communicate every day.

What did you find most impressive about Kellton Tech Solutions?

It’s a challenge that they’re in India and I’m in the Eastern time zone. My product is at peak usage when it’s in the middle of the night for them. I’ve had to call them in the middle of the night with different issues, but they’ve helped me right away every time.

Are there any areas Kellton Tech Solutions could improve?

It is a challenge to work with someone in a different time zone, but that was my choice.

### Transforming CX:Telematics Data Lake Modernization
United Rentals, a key player in the equipment rental industry, faced challenges in optimizing both customer experiences and internal operations. With an extensive network of branches and a diverse equipment inventory, the company aimed to revolutionize how it utilized data and analytics to enhance customer satisfaction, retain clients, and explore new service offerings and products in the near future.
Operating in an industry where equipment availability, timely maintenance, and efficient logistics are critical, these challenges disrupt the smooth flow of operations, leading the company to seek improvements in customer experiences, operational efficiency, and real-time visibility into equipment utilization. As a leading technology solutions provider, we partnered with United Rentals to address these challenges.
In response to the increasing demand for advanced telematics data analytics, United Rentals engaged us to design a data architecture for the ingestion, storage, and processing of large datasets collected from rental equipment. Understanding United Rentals' objectives, we undertook a mission to help them choose a Cloud-based, future-ready system with a flexible and extensible architecture to support future growth.

### IoT-based Smart Energy Management Solution
Luminous, a leader in power management and automation systems, is dedicated to building sustainable and energy-efficient solutions with a global presence in over 36 countries, 6,000 employees, and 60,000 channel partners.

When our client approached us with the vision to promote solar energy adoption and simplify the installation of roof panels through an online portal, we eagerly embraced the opportunity. We knew that our solution would be a game-changer, paving the way for the next era of energy transition.

We devised an innovative end-to-end energy management solution that enabled users to monitor energy usage, determine cost implications, and generate leads directly. Our unique design thinking approach led us to an architecture featuring a solar calculator and a dashboard view. Using the solar calculator, end-users could personalize their dashboard by entering details of their energy supply, unit consumption, and estimated average monthly usage. This helped them evaluate their consumption patterns, estimate the ROI of adopting solar panels, and make informed decisions.

Our solution enabled Luminous' clients to achieve their sustainability goals, reduce costs, enhance customer service, and accelerate the service and deployment cycle while increasing sales growth. It was scalable and customizable to cater to the unique needs of each client, and its success established Kellton as a trusted technology partner for Luminous in their journey toward energy sustainability.

Becton Dickinson (BD), a global leader in medical technology, faced challenges in effectively managing and scaling their enterprise data. With a vast portfolio of healthcare solutions, BD recognized the imperative to streamline data management processes, enhance data quality, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The existing processes were hindering operational efficiency, prompting BD to seek a comprehensive solution for scalable enterprise data management.
As a trusted partner in digital transformation, we closely collaborated with BD to design and implement a scalable enterprise data management solution. The primary objective was to leverage technology to optimize data processes, improve data accuracy, and establish a robust foundation for future growth.

### Financial System Integration via SAP S/4HANA
Howard Building, a construction and property management firm, is a prominent midstream provider with operations spanning across Texas, Mexico, and Pennsylvania. The company boasts a team of seasoned professionals with over 150 years of collective experience and delivers a comprehensive suite of integrated midstream services to clients worldwide.

The business situation faced by our client involved having fragmented units scattered across the financial landscape, which hindered the company's ability to make informed decisions. The isolated systems were unable to provide the necessary insights for sustained growth, and instead, hoarded data. Recognizing the need for the integration of financial systems to enhance visibility and gain future foresight, we took the initiative to innovate and rapidly transform financial efficiency.

After a thorough analysis, Kellton chose SAP S/4HANA Finance for our client’s new ERP system. Our solution efficiently integrated Howard Building's core financial systems, enabling a consolidated view of operations. The new system provided on-the-fly business analysis, accelerating decision-making and enhancing business efficiency by reducing costs and eliminating redundancies associated with manual efforts. Additionally, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC) was implemented to enable real-time insights, predictive maintenance, and a reconciled view of data.

The solution was scalable, empowering Howard Building to evaluate business scenarios at a granular level and make informed decisions for long-term growth. Real-time insights into their financial performance enabled better financial planning and decision-making, rendering the possibility of data replication and reconciliation virtually obsolete.

### UNICEF HOPE- A Clearer Picture for Global HCT
HOPE is a UNICEF initiative designed to collect and process the data required for cash programs, providing aid to people affected by humanitarian crises worldwide. To achieve this, UNICEF employs enumerators in conflict or emergency zones to collect data on vulnerable populations, which is then stored in the HOPE database to facilitate targeted programs.
Kellton was tasked with building a web application that provides a global snapshot of statistical data for countries and regions involved in UN partner programs. The application includes multiple features, such as a global dashboard, registration data import, and a program management panel, that allow UNICEF and partner staff to improve cash assistance programming, data security, and reporting while mitigating the data protection and fiduciary risks associated with cash assistance in emergency response.

With the platform, UNICEF and partner staff can create cash programs, identifying households and individuals that qualify for financial aid. HOPE increases compliance with UNICEF guidance and tools, ensuring accountability and traceability of the information managed, ultimately enhancing the quality of programs implementing Humanitarian Cash Transfers (HCT).

### Software Platform for Submarine Rescue Missions
NCIA's head of maritime IT services recognized the need for an update to the ISMERLO software platform to support submarine rescue missions. NATO needed a partner that understood the importance of the platform; a system that would give submariners in dire situations hope and save lives in real-world emergency scenarios.

Due to our expertise in developing complex systems in a short time frame,  we helped rebuild a full Command and Control (C2) planning and coordination system that identifies the closest teams to a distressed submarine and coordinates rescue and medical capabilities to assist with getting personnel back to the surface.

The updated system is now live and has been used in real-world situations, including the KRI Nanggala disaster, demonstrating its effectiveness. With the rollout underway, NATO's capability to respond to submarine emergencies is greatly enhanced, and Kellton remains under contract for ongoing product support, updates, and maintenance.

The new platform offers a range of features, including seamless payment processing, real-time inventory management, a user-friendly interface, and personalized recommendations. Customers can use QP points to purchase products, receive discounts and redeem them across multiple channels.

The platform was built using scalable and secure technology stacks, such as AngularJS, Spring Boot, and ElasticSearch. It also leveraged Cloud-based infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted services and efficient scaling, providing an innovative shopping experience for its users.

### Seamless Medicare Experience for Elderlies

Lighted Road Insurance, a major health insurance provider in the United States, focuses on delivering innovative products and services to the elderly population. However, the absence of a digital channel hindered their ability to offer a comprehensive view of Medicare coverage options to their customers, leading to lost business and ineffective communication between agents and beneficiaries. The traditional business architecture also impeded the consolidation and evaluation of real-time data, further exacerbating the problem.

To address these challenges, Kellton was approached by the client to implement advanced digital solutions to make Medicare benefit information easily accessible to the elderly. We developed a personalized insurance aggregator platform that allowed customers to effortlessly navigate through Medicare plans and select the best option for their needs.

Our team analyzed and mapped the client's business requirements, pain points, and growth indicators in real-time by consolidating enterprise-wide data. By automating data ingestion, we provided insights that helped the client understand their current business situation and anticipate future possibilities with greater speed and accuracy.

With our solution, Lighted Road Insurance saw an increase in customer engagement, improved speed-to-market, enhanced decision-making abilities, and a stronger enterprise-wide security posture, ultimately resulting in a revitalized brand reputation.

### Automated Check-in Process for Material Management
When you are a leading supplier of low-cost bottled water with 35 bottling plants across the United States, an automated check-in process is imperative for seamless material management owing to numerous external touchpoints.
Our client, one of the leading suppliers of high-quality bottled water, finding themselves at the crossroads of digital transformation, approached us to help them leap forward from the traditional check-in process. We answered our client’s need by developing a fully connected ecosystem powered by self-service kiosks.
We helped our client move from manual trailer check-in/out processes that were error-prone to a fully-integrated self-service kiosk application. We built asset and process audit apps to streamline operations, enabling the employees to deliver a higher-quality audit opinion.
Leveraging industry-best automation practices, we built self-service kiosks to enable trailer drivers/owners to check in automatically. The new solution was a resounding success. It reduced human intervention by the internal staff, freeing up the client’s resources from indulging in redundant tasks and focusing on strategic and result-oriented jobs.

The new system enabled our client to generate QR codes accessible across all their devices to help facility managers track trailers entering the premises.
