Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Josh designed and developed the custom digital infrastructure for Pain Psychology Centre UK from the ground up. The project included both our public-facing website and a bespoke internal platform built around the way our practice actually operates.
Key deliverables included our client intake and onboarding flow, practitioner profiles and scheduling, client-provider matching, payment and booking workflows, automated communications, internal dashboards, practitioner and client management tools, reporting and metrics, and ongoing improvements as the business has grown. He also helped shape the overall user experience and visual presentation so the website and platform felt cohesive with the PPC UK brand. The work has been highly iterative, with Josh continuing to develop new features and refine workflows based on how our team and clients are actually using the system.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The biggest measurable outcome was that we were able to launch Pain Psychology Centre UK with a fully functioning custom digital infrastructure in place from day one. Rather than relying on multiple disconnected systems, our intake, client-provider matching, scheduling, payments, practitioner management, and internal operations were brought together within one platform.
Since launch, the system has already supported live client intake, bookings, payments, practitioner scheduling, and ongoing client management across our founding team.
It has also allowed us to identify and implement improvements quickly as real users move through the platform. For a brand-new organization, one of the clearest measures of success is that the technology has allowed us to move from concept to an operational practice without needing to rebuild our systems after launch. The platform continues to grow alongside the business.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Josh has been exceptionally responsive throughout the entire project. He consistently met deadlines, communicated clearly, and was extremely flexible as the scope evolved. Because we were building a new organization at the same time as the platform, there were many moments where I would realize we needed something new or wanted to change a workflow, and he was always able to adapt quickly without making the process feel complicated.
He is especially good at taking feedback that is sometimes very high-level or conceptual and turning it into something functional. I often came to him with an idea rather than a technical solution, and he was able to understand what I was trying to accomplish and figure out the best way to build it. He also responds incredibly quickly when an issue comes up, which has been particularly important since launch.
I have always felt that the project was being actively cared for rather than simply handed over once something was built.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me most was Josh’s ability to understand the vision behind the project, not just the technical request in front of him.
I could come to him with a half-formed idea, a problem I was trying to solve, or even just a feeling about how something should work, and he would turn it into something thoughtful, functional, and often better than what I had originally imagined. He combines technical skill with a real understanding of user experience and business operations, which made him feel much more like a creative and strategic partner than simply a developer.
He cares about the details, thinks ahead, and genuinely seems invested in building something that works well for the people using it. That combination of creativity, responsiveness, and the ability to translate a big-picture vision into a working product is what really sets him apart.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Joshua Wells could have done differently?

I don’t have any significant areas for improvement. Josh has been incredibly responsive, collaborative, and adaptable throughout the project, and anything that has needed adjustment has been addressed quickly and thoughtfully. I’ve been genuinely very happy with both the process and the outcome.
