I was the former VP of Chief Executive Group and we specialize in conducting events and providing information to Fortune 500 CEOs and public companies.

We needed someone to provide us with video production services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Josh Skehan Productions filmed and edited promotional videos for our upcoming events. They were tasked with conducting video interviews with high-profile CEOs to provide more information for prospective clients and attendees.

I primarily worked with Josh (Owner).

How did you come to work with Josh Skehan Productions?

Our CEO found their company online and we brought them into the project because they had good references.

How much have you invested with them?

Over the course of six years, we probably spent over $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I worked with them from May 2012–January 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of the main aspects I liked about working with Josh Skehan Productions is their work culture. Whenever there were issues in the background, we would never know about it because they would take care of them right away.

Moreover, we never felt like they were always trying to sell their services — they were straightforward about the prices and process.

How did Josh Skehan Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent from a project management standpoint, as we never had to chase them for the progress of the work. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve only worked with Josh Skehan Productions because we never felt the need to hire anybody else.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t believe there’s anything they could’ve done differently, because they always performed on time and on budget

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise you to give as much information about the project as you can because there’s a lot of preparation and planning involved in the production.

I’m the director of marketing and revenue at a timeshare resort.

What challenge were you trying to address with Josh Skehan Productions?

We needed help creating marketing videos and still photography.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Every year we update a portion of our villas. To reflect the updates, they do new still photos. As we continue to renovate our facilities, they do new photos for us. We did our entire property video in 2020.

For a typical project, Josh (Owner) tries to get my vision for what I’m looking for. For example, when we redid the property video, he took time to understand what areas I want to drill home. The video is sent in all of our email signatures, on our site, and in as many links as I can get it on social media. The still photos are a main element of our marketing.

What is the team composition?

Josh is our main point of contact. He has 1–2 different assistants that come in.

How did you come to work with Josh Skehan Productions?

I inherited the partnership from my predecessor when I started this role. I really enjoy our partnership. Josh is very creative and fun. I haven’t felt the need to shop around because he’s that great of a partner for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2018, and our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Josh is a great brainstormer to play off what I’ve given him. Whether it’s the video style or the equipment he’s using to enhance the property video, they’re always great. His assistants are always professional and respectful. They’re all easy to work with. Josh focused on getting the best product regardless of time. He’s always happy to provide the best he can.

The team does a great job of capturing the spirit of our property. Each villa has kitchens, washers, and dryers. They’re a bit like condos and houses. Josh is excellent at highlighting our location and the attractions nearby.

How did Josh Skehan Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

Josh and I are always in touch via email and phone call. We also schedule in-person meetings and discuss what time of day works best for shooting. We end up with an excel grid of the time and what we need in terms of props and people.

On-site, we’re always together to make sure that he has what he needs and that I’m satisfied. He’s really great about being flexible with his schedule. It’s great for us because we never know what’s going to happen.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their personal touch stands out. Josh accommodates whatever’s easiest for me. He always fosters our relationship and makes us a priority.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. I get everything I need and I hope Josh gets everything he needs.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to go into the partnership with an open mind but also with a plan. Have a way to describe what you’re looking for and let Josh do what he does best. He’ll take what you have and enhance it.

What challenge were you trying to address with Josh Skehan Productions?

He was my photographer and videographer for a company’s client conference.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

He was hired to come in, film certain events, take pictures, and document everything. Since then, I’ve used him for other events, like fundraisers. He would make promo videos for us to show, or pictures that we used to capture the event. I’d fly him in the day before to set up.

How did you come to work with Josh Skehan Productions?

It came as a recommendation from a planner I used in the past.

How much have you invested with them?

Each project would go anywhere from $20,000 to $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I worked with him from May 2011 to November 2017. That was my most recent project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re very happy with the work. The videos ended up on the local news and were used for fundraisers. We got excellent feedback on them.

How did Josh Skehan Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management was very straightforward. He did excellent work on these simple projects.

What did you find most impressive about them?

He’s very easy to work with. He wants to please you and to become your friend. There’s not a lot of red tape. You work directly with him, he makes his recommendations, and you get your project done.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nobody’s perfect, but I have nothing specific to tell you that he needs to improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you specifically understand what you want, then convey that to him. He’ll give you exactly what you want, and even give you recommendations on how to make it better.
