Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the principal engineer and CEO of a software development company. We specialize in mobile apps and cloud technology.

What challenge were you trying to address with JAAG Financial Services?

We needed a partner for accounting and financial planning services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, JAAG Financial Services helped us incorporate our LLC. We’ve given them access to our financials and bank information, and they handle all of our financial planning, accounting, and tax preparation services.

We present them with projects that we’re interested in or have bid on, including the expenses necessary to make them happen. They tell us the financial impact of them and give us advice on how to move forward.

They also help us prepare our financial projects for the upcoming year, and they do any research needed for tax preparation.

What is the team composition?

Jamie (EA) is our consultant, and he works with Jack (Communications Advice), who handles the reporting.

How did you come to work with JAAG Financial Services?

Jamie was my personal accountant.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent over $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around July 2011, and our engagement ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

JAAG Financial Services has been excellent in guiding us through our journey from a financial standpoint; we’re extremely satisfied with them.

How did JAAG Financial Services perform from a project management standpoint?

They do a good job providing financial reports monthly and quarterly, and they also prepare the analyses needed for new opportunities, from incurring expenses to 1–2-year plans. Usually, we communicate in person and via email, and we do a quarterly review to identify financial goals and evaluate financial opportunities.

What did you find most impressive about them?

JAAG Financial Services pays attention to detail, and they have great customer service. They address all of our concerns, answer all of our questions, and provide financial reports to support their advice.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be good if we could work on a more aggressive 5–10-year plan and shoot for loftier goals. They could also do some research into more potential revenue streams.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be prepared with documentation and be ready to ask good questions for executing your plan so that they can help you to the best of their ability.
