BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CIO of an online typography company. We print photos on any surface. Our company has about 50 employees, we have many customers and our business is in Italy

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

Our company has several devices to create an order, we have a web platform, a desktop client for windows and mac. What is missing is an app to receive photos from mobile phones to be able to print them.

We have an internal team of 6 developers who take care of all the development part. For lack of time and resources, I decided to have the front-end part developed by iView Labs

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to develop an app that could send photos for printing, compose a photo book, create a photo canvas and other products with the photo from cellphone and thus increase our turnover.

SOLUTION

How did you select iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

After asking on the Linkedin portal, I received several proposals and analyzed the various reviews that I chose iView because I considered it reliable and competent, the estimate was the average one. Important for the choice was the release of the complete source code of the project

Describe the project in detail.

The project is based on Flutter language so as to have a single development platform (IOS and Android). The app needs a Webservice Rest to exchange information on the price list, prices, product characteristics, send photos and complete an order.

Very important is the manipulation and management of images to preserve the memory and stability of the device

I don't know how many people were in the team, I talked to the sales manager then first with a developer and later with an intermediary between us is the development

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

After 6 months of development IView completed the app we requested, now we have to complete it. Some of our in-house developed routines need to be included to increase app performance and yield. I think it takes almost months for this app to be released

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our communication was very good, we talked almost every day. Every week they released a package with the completed com activity and I compiled a report with all the bugs I found

What did you find most impressive about this company?

This company is very professional and they made themselves available working even beyond work. They also did some extra functionality that wasn't in the quote. The seriousness was much appreciated

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything can always be done faster, but we were happy with their work. If I have to say something I think they need to improve the use of photos which is a very complex issue especially when working with a lot of photos.

In the end, quality is important and so is the seriousness of the company

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a fintech company that’s based in the US but has operations in Africa.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

We needed help building a mobile and web application for our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

iView Labs helped us turn our algorithm into a mobile and web application. They handled the integration with our custodian broker-dealer in the U.S. Their team helped us in terms of building out the user interface.

The first step was integrating our application with them by creating the UI, which is the customer onboarding process that requires us to collect personal information and basic data of the clients. The second step was building an algorithm, and the next step was to take that algorithm and include it in the customer onboarding process. Based on the information the clients provided, we’d suggest a savings plan for them. iView Labs handles that customer onboarding process from basic information to creating plans.

The third part is integration with the custodian broker-dealer where we wanted the user, when we give them a plan, the entire process should be seamlessly done at the backend. It basically requires taking the portfolio we have in common with the user and passing that information onto the custodian broker-dealer.

We send minutes, the transactions made, and the user can see that portfolio. That integration work in terms of handling the trade-in and the reporting that happens subsequently as well as handling the payments, transfers, and integrating it with the partners’ needs. The fourth step is now that the clients have been integrated, iView Labs helped us build out the dashboard for the client so they can track and monitor their portfolios.

The web application is mainly for the Nigerian market. It’s not yet live because it’s taking us longer than expected to gather the required approvals. It’s 90% complete. Now, we’re working with iView Labs to build a native mobile app for the US market. The app will be for Android and iOS.

What is the team composition?

I only interface with two key people. There were three additional junior-level people who are also working on the application. For the interface, we had more of the senior development team.

How did you come to work with iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

My co-founder is from India, and they were recommended to him through his network. I relied on his expertise for that.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2020, and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

iView Labs works quite fast. We’re a bootstrap. They’re very affordable from a value perspective, and the quality of work compared to what we paid is very high. Our partner, the custodian broker-dealer, didn’t have issues working with them which is a big part of the success for us.

That integration process was done well with no issues. Our partners didn’t come back with any complaints. They found the process quite efficient. They thought it’d take longer to get the work done. I feel we could’ve been even faster if we got the design done well in the spec that iView Labs wanted.

Any issues we had were related to the design and it not translating well. It wasn’t their issue. They did offer a designer on their team but we chose to work with somebody else.

How did iView Labs Pvt Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They are good and efficient. Their team has an application that allows us to track what they do every week. They did a very good job with project management. I don’t have any complaints.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s been easy to work with them. There was never a time that the relationship was strained. They’re willing to hear us out and try to understand what we want. We had to go back and forth a lot on the design, and they were gracious about it. iView Labs was very accommodating to us.

There were instances when what we asked them to do seemed difficult or they didn’t know how to go about it but they never had the mentality that something couldn’t be done. They were always trying to find ways to achieve what we wanted to achieve.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The main thing is the design issue from our side. We should’ve worked with the team for the whole thing including the design aspects. It would’ve made it easier and more seamless. If I could do it again, I would have done everything with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re hardworking people. If you’re very clear, they’ll get it done. When you’re uncertain about certain aspects, you just go back and forth. Be clear on everything you want, and you’ll get the most value out of it.

BACKGROUND

We needed to develop a mobile app and web UI for our online investment platform and hired Iview lab for same.

SOLUTION

How did you select iView Labs Pvt Ltd. and what were the deciding factors?

iView Lab was recommended to us by a former satisfied client of theirs.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

They designed and are developing the Unser interface for our investment platform. We str impressed by the knowledgeable of the team and the critical and valued suggestions they've added to platform functionality.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We are interacting with 3 persons - Business manager, Project Manager and Project consultant. We do believe there are others in support roles executing decisions agreed with us.So far

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project is so far on schedule with the Mobile app almost delivered and the web version under development. We need to highlight that the team has been superbly proactive at all levels.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

We are constantly and almost daily in touch with the Project Manager who sets up scheduled as well as ad hoc review meetings and coordinates all aspects of the project deliverables.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

iView Lab has been proactive, engaging and added lot of functional value to the platform under development.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't think about any short coming immediately.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Laundrolite. We offer on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning delivery services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with iView Labs Pvt Ltd?

We wanted to create an app for our company. It was a big project and we had a tight budget, so we needed the right partner to help us accomplish it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

iView Labs Pvt Ltd built a native app on both iOS and Android.  We didn’t create wireframes ourselves, though we did have experience launching similar delivery service apps, which was a good base to start from.

This project ended up being a little more complicated, however, as we had to implement functionalities for clothes tracking and invoicing. At one point, the team had to change the entire architecture of the app.

What is the team composition?

I had one point of contact, our project manager, though there was a larger team deployed for support that I didn’t interact with.

How did you come to work with iView Labs Pvt Ltd?

I posted an RFP on Upwork, and iView Labs Pvt Ltd placed a bid along with a few other companies. Their ability to provide native developers along with their competencies in past projects influenced our decision to partner with them.

How much have you invested with them?

Our project cost $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place from October 2018–October 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My expectations for the project were high, as we were launching a new public service and I wanted the app to be perfect and quality-tested. Along the way, I tracked a detailed feature list and conducted all of the validation testing.

The iView Labs Pvt Ltd team handled the basic code testing, checking bugs and errors. They always delivered high-quality work that performed just as expected.

Overall, the project took one year instead of four months, but the team tried to meet my expectations. Anyone else would’ve left the project then and there, so I really appreciated their dedication to my project.

How did iView Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project manager was talented, reasonable, and a good negotiator.

Though the project was delayed significantly, I understand why and don’t place all the blame on them. There were a few areas where I lacked experience and needed some consultancy, which is where the disconnect occurred.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Out of all the developers I’ve worked with, iView Labs Pvt Ltd stands apart because of their high-quality work.

When they turn something over to the customer for testing, there aren’t any bugs in the code. That was really wonderful. I’d never seen flawless development until I partnered with iView Labs Pvt Ltd. The functionalities changed during our project, and they responded to that, but all of their developers are very talented.

Also, though we ended up over budget for the project, we still paid less than we would’ve if we’d gone with another provider.

Are there any areas they could improve?

iView Labs Pvt Ltd could improve by expanding their services to include some basic consulting on the business side. If they could’ve guided me along the way, the app might not have changed, and the price and timeline might not have increased.

The final product is nice, but it’s an MVP, not the project I expected.

I can’t place the blame on them, however, as this was my first time engaging in a project like this and I didn’t know the business etiquette.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

If you have wireframes and a detailed plan mapped in your mind, iView Labs Pvt Ltd’s developers will do a great job.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the IT manager at Leen Alkhair, a wholesale food company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

We needed someone to develop a mobile application to support our business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

iView Labs Pvt Ltd. developed our mobile application for iOS and Android. There’s also a web admin side. I gave them the idea and they started working from scratch. They used PHP and MySQL for the backend. They’re working on the Laravel framework. For the mobile side, they’re using Android Studio and XCode.

What is the team composition?

There were about five people. I interacted with 2–3 of them.

How did you come to work with iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

They gave us a really good quotation and helpful suggestions.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $18,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2018 until December 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality and coding are very good: there are no mistakes and very little bugs. We only had some problems at the beginning with design. I told them the problems, and they solved them for free. They did a very good job after that.

How did iView Labs Pvt Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was very good, and so was communication. They solved all our problems and were punctual.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are very good, and we’d like to work with them in the future.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they could do better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They did their tasks perfectly. I recommend working with them. I don’t know how they do with complex projects because I didn’t have that experience with them.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work in a technology business in Ghana called Eykrom.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

For this project, we needed someone to help us build a web-based e-commerce site. Also, I was working with a freelancer on the mobile-based social site, but I terminated that engagement to give the task to iView Labs Pvt Ltd.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

iView Labs Pvt Ltd. is working on creating a new web application for us, building it from scratch. The platform has unique chat and gifting functionalities.

They’re also making improvements to our existing mobile app, which is similar to the web app with slightly different functionalities. Their team is preparing a proposal for the iOS version, but we’re working on the Android version first.

What is the team composition?

I work with an account manager from iView Labs Pvt Ltd., and one of my internal teammates works with someone else from their team, who gives us specialized technical advice.

How did you come to work with iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

Typically, I find providers on Upwork and iView Labs Pvt Ltd. was chosen out of 100 candidates.

How much have you invested with them?

The budget is around $4,000, and we still have some work to complete.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with iView Labs Pvt Ltd. in April 2019. The first part of the project has been completed, and the mobile app work has already begun.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The functionalities within the platform are good. The HTML files are superb, and the backend is plugged in well. Everything they’ve done has been great. We’re starting to upload content to the site now, and working on the Android app, so we’re happy with our progress.

How did iView Labs Pvt Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They proactively set up a communication channel between our teams and the previous developer to gather relevant information for development. My phone line is open to them at all times of day or night in case there’s an issue.

I give them full marks for the job they’ve done for me, and that’s not an exaggeration. They come to me when they have a better idea for certain things, whereas other people may not speak up. They also use trackers, but my internal team mostly takes responsibility for that. I receive reports and feedback from the team to make sure everything is being done on time, too.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This is a new business for me, so I needed someone to hold my hand and make me comfortable with the environment. I was confident enough in iView Labs Pvt Ltd. to pay them even before the product was delivered.

With other companies, my technical team had to scrutinize every detail to make sure it was right. With iView Labs Pvt Ltd., that isn’t necessary, and I know they’ll do it well. If the job costs $1,000, I can pay them the money immediately and let them work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Once we got over communication differences, since we’re from different parts of the world, our conversations became better. iView Labs Pvt Ltd. really came through to support me and worked to improve anything we needed. If my technical partner is satisfied with the work they’re delivering, then so am I.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

iView Labs Pvt Ltd. is the best partner for a technology beginner. If you have an idea but it isn’t fleshed out, they will hold your hand and walk you through the journey. They have a standard practice that ensures that they will provide the best service to anyone.

iView Labs Pvt Ltd reached out to us on LinkedIn. After a call, we decided that they had the skills to finish this project.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They designed, built, and configured the website. They continue to give recommendations and enhance its functionality.

We have a weekly meeting, so we know what we need to do to support their team. They also send regular updates and inform us about any difficulties.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I’m impressed with their expertise and quick response.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They could still improve the communication between the developer and the manager. It also would be nice to have a way for us to monitor the developer from iView Labs Pvt Ltd. Having more developers would also allow them to finish the project on time.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CTO of a company that provides digital data capture capabilities to field staff.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire iView Labs Pvt Ltd.?

We hired iView Labs Pvt Ltd. to provide maintenance, support, and development for our existing iOS mobile app.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to stabilize the application and add new features as requested by our customers.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We searched for mobile development companies that could maintain an existing app with a complicated code base. Ultimately, we selected iView Labs Pvt Ltd. because they seemed like the best option.

Describe the project in detail.

Once selected, iView Labs Pvt Ltd. examined the existing codebase and started to work on the outstanding issues. Additional services they provide include fixing existing bugs and adding new features.

Over the last six months, iView Labs Pvt Ltd. has enabled us to launch several revisions of our application. They continually make improvements and changes based on ongoing customer requirements.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

All of our communication is handled via Skype and Redmine. The project manager is easy to contact. We haven't had any issues with the workflow.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed with how quickly the developers came into their own with the complex existing codebase. Since several different developers had worked on it over the years, it was quite convoluted.

Are there any areas for improvement?

My only suggestion for improvement would be slightly more timely communication.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a technology company providing smart transports and logistics services. We created a platform that links up "riders" to  "drivers" and the provisions of jobs. We are currently running our smart cap services in Ghana, and with just a few clicks on your phones via the Urbride app, you are linked to a driver to take you anywhere you want to go.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with iView Labs?

We needed a partner who would listen and understand us and our technology needs for bringing this kind of service to Africa. We felt that iView would be the best partner to choose for mobile app and cloud-based development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

iView was involved in the technical aspects of our software development. We have worked together since the beginning in order to build our solution, and they were fully in charge of coding and the configuration of the whole app. We have built Android and iOS versions for our smart car app, as well as a backend for controlling the software and gathering analytics.

They also provided social media marketing services and development for our website. We wanted to make the site more interactive and agreed on a couple of technologies for this purpose.

What is the team dynamic?

I’ve worked with around 7 people from their team.

How did you come to work with iView Labs?

We met them at the GITEX Technology Week Exhibition in Dubai 2-3 years ago and had an interesting chat. We developed a friendship before approaching professional aspects, which is key for any company trying to hire a developer—getting to understand what each of us is talking about.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost of their work has been above $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with iView Labs around December 2016. We had a discussion and put together plans to get the backend rolling at that time. The relationship is ongoing. We have a couple of interesting projects right now, creating avenues for new jobs.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I have met clients directly while driving across Ghana; they’ve been happy with the app, and find it user-friendly. It’s a good alternative to the local options which had been in place.

We’ve tested the app and made a couple of optimizations on it. Overall, we’re satisfied with it as a company.

How did iView Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

It all comes down to communication, and they have the right professionals in place who’ve followed through on all our projects. We can reach each other at any time. We use phone, email, and WhatsApp for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand clients and the whole tech process. We worked together as a team, trying to achieve a particular vision and plan. We have a social mindset around the app, and iView has understood this desire to do something for the community. We share the same thinking and have a strong partnership.

They understand the role of technology, are up-to-date with it, and they’re ready to pick up challenges. We’ve gone through the development process with their team, and found that they were ready to listen. We all make mistakes, but it’s important to work together as a team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are always things which can be done differently, but nothing comes to mind about iView. Even though we have a time difference, I can pretty much reach them at any time.
