We needed to replace our outdated applications for processing product information with a centralized system that operates independently of third-party software providers. The project involved designing and developing key modules, including PIM development, DAM development, a specific CMS, a product publishing service, an order management system, adjustments to our legacy e-commerce website, and the development of a new e-commerce website.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The primary criterion for progress was transitioning the old site and PIM-like services to operate with our new PIM system. After successful testing and ensuring everything worked as planned, we created a new site that was immediately integrated with the PIM.

Additionally, the new OMS, integration with ZenDesk, and the development and integration of an order picking system accelerated order processing and reduced errors, enhancing customer satisfaction with our services. We can now track the entire order flow within our internal systems and see improvements in the site's performance. This has led to an increase in orders and a rise in financial metrics.

They use a hybrid Agile approach, simplifying task setting into checklists for quicker verification as the release date approaches. To stay up-to-date, the team utilizes Jira, conducts regular meetings, and retrospectives. We found them on Upwork. After communicating with their team lead, we tried them for a couple of new features. Once the featured were delivered on time and within the budget, we felt confident that they can deal with the rest of the challenges.

Our project was a marketplace for selling ex-government trucks and equipment. We wanted to hire an experienced software team that would be able to migrate our website from the outdated framework and create a new UI/UX design. The deliverables were the website client-side, admin panel, and some integration points with third-party services. As for technologies, we used the .NET framework, Azure, Cloudflare, jQuery, MSSQL.

We received great feedback about our new design from the customers. We used the website launch to create a massive email campaign which increased our sales. The internal staff loved the admin panel redesign and integration with third-party services. The admin panel functionality helped us to streamline our paperwork processes and internal communications.

We had weekly meetings and on-demand daily meetings whenever the development team requested it. We used JIRA for project management, Google calendar and Google Meet for meetings.
