Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Over a year ago, I met Smit and Nilay at Intuz while figuring out my next move after investment banking.  At the time, my question was how to scale a start-up manufacturing company in the out-of-home advertising ("OOH") space fast and with the lowest overhead possible, because my own equity was on the line.
However, I ended up taking a different path: a family office with 8+ portcos, a bigger balance sheet, and mgmt teams trying to work out where to fit tech in their businesses.

The relationship with Intuz came with me.

We brought them into our industrial services platform, that provides environmental services to businesses, and made a real bet on technology: run ops more efficiently so the customer experience improves, revenue lifts, and costs get maintained.

The work seemed simple; but the workflow behind it was anything but...  Every customer touched sales billing, field service, compliance, billing and accounting, each running its own system all tied to a physical compliance document the industry requires.  Sales was stretched thin and billing was always queued.

Our teams didn't need more hands, they needed experts.

So, Smit, Nilay, Martin, and the entire Intuz team helped us eat this elephant one bite at a time, while focusing on three core deliverables:

• An OCR-based document pipeline that scans our physical compliance certs, extracts data, and routes each field to its respective department
• A second phase that submitted these compliance documents to individual city portals to ensure regulations are met
• A sales pipeline tracker that tracks itself -- i.e., by reading our sales email distros, contract statuses, and customer requirements and automatically updating our pipeline, so our sales sells, instead of updating Salesforce every Friday

With that underway, they also built a custom software for a second related-entity, a few miles away, that needed real-time inventory, commodity levels, and testing data.  Their work laid the foundation for our infrastructure platfrom in this new age; and has given our teams back time, so they can focus on higher-value decicsions for the firm.

Now, we're looking forward to introducing them to our healthcare services portcos to get them started on admissions, billing, and other automations so our long-tenured business can finally acheive some economies of scale and compete with the major playors.

I recommend them highly.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Reduce days sales outstanding ("DSO") by reducing time between service completion and invoice sent date, which also increases cash conversion and debt service ability.
• Increase customer conversion by tracking every new lead, following up, while also gathering data for any lost leads.
• Reduce staff time on document submissions by 90-minutes per day
• Deliver a working software our team runs, while maintaining control of IP and data rights given data-sensitivity.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

100% -- they were always on call.

What was your primary form of communication with Intuz?

Virtual Meeting

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They build around the business' needs, which in our case were very niche given our intercompany transactions and market.

We struggled with vendors offering a platform that didn't fit to our department's exact needs.  And Intuz did the opposite, they catered their solution and strategy to what we needed, to what each individual employee required and helped us re-invent a way out of our dinosar ways.

The other thing I'd single out is that I told Smit and Nilay I didn't want a yes-man.  I needed smart people who would tell me no, offer a defensible/credible alternative, and truly help me think through problems the industry has lived with for decades.  They took that seriously.  More than once did they present an alternative to something I didn't consider, that worked better and made a quicker impact.

Engineers are easy to find.  But smart engineers who will push back on the person paying them because they're confident in their ability to improve a company are not.  These guys are just that.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Intuz could have done differently?

No lol

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the CEO of a marketplace IT company that works as a trust layer for the internet.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Intuz?

We needed help hardening our AI and marketplace capabilities to improve the AI functionality of our site. They were also extremely helpful consulting in the earliest phases of AI integrations and utilizations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Intuz has assisted us with marketplace AI development and AI agent assistance within the developed marketplace. The team's primary deliverables have been the integration of high-level AI assistance with a multi-tenant marketplace with a built-in AI-powered and enabled trust layer for the most secure marketplace and bot-free environment possible today. Intuz has also worked on backend AI integration, UI features, and security enhancements. Moreover, the team has helped ensure that AI can assist with product listing and AI-integrated dispute resolution, as well as significant AI consulting for future phases and integrations.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with 2–5 teammates from Intuz.

How did you come to work with Intuz?

We found them through a referral. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, their pricing fit our budget, they had a great culture fit, they offered good value for the cost, and their company values aligned with ours.

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent over $30,000 and intend to continue to use Intuz for future and continued development.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2026, and our engagement is ongoing to this day.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Intuz has been able to fully integrate our Stripe and Checkr background check integrations. The team has also been able to fully integrate the early versions of AI monitoring for harassment and fraudulent postings. Moreover, Intuz has been able to fully add a dispute resolution protocol with AI assistance. Currently, the team is working and delivering on all modules of the eventual fully incorporated marketplace. The biggest workflow integration the team has been able to add, test, and verify is the ability for a person or store to automate their listing procedure simply with pictures and a few notes.

Thanks to Intuz's work, we now have little to no manual work needed for posting and dispute resolution. All onboarding procedures are handled online and automatically through direct API linking and AI integrations. We've also been able to reduce or eliminate fraudulent postings due to the monitoring and resolution systems built by Intuz. Overall, we've seen an 80% reduction in manual workflow and a 95% reduction in fraudulent postings.

How did Intuz perform from a project management standpoint?

Intuz usually delivers ahead of time. The team is always ready to go and deliver when they say they will. Intuz's project management team is excellent and excels in every facet, utilizing Notion, Slack, Basecamp, and email. We mainly communicate through virtual meetings, email, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most unique part about Intuz is that they actively engage in the product and its development whenever asked. Their insights are direct and important, allowing us to make significant changes in the early phases that have saved us time, money, and compute costs. Intuz's ability to consult us around AI integrations is top-notch. No other company we've worked with has been able to explain such complex integrations in such a simplified way that still makes sense and allows us to implement them in the system while also understanding what we are implementing fully!

Are there any areas they could improve?

Intuz has delivered on time and done what we've asked them to do, often going above and beyond at a cost that our brand-new startup can afford.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and COO of a home health agency. We send clinicians to patients’ homes to treat them, including nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Intuz?

We needed support for our back office with digital and AI transformation.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Intuz has been building multiple solutions that support our back office with AI tools. For example, we have a receptionist who is a voice AI agent. We also have a fax reader agent. Intuz has built multiple custom AI agents for us.

Initially, we had a discovery call to discuss what we were trying to build. I have a technical background, so I was able to describe the architecture I had in mind. Intuz went to the drawing board and looked at their resources to see if they had proper availability. Then, they provided me with a quote, and we had a few back-and-forth negotiations around the quote.

We’ve defined the scope, and as with any other tech project, we’ve found new areas where we can work together. We’re expanding the scope.

Intuz uses PyTorch, pandas, AWS, and Amazon Bedrock. For the voice agent, we use a company called Resemble AI. Their solution is on top of 11 Labs. We use AWS Bedrock and Textract for the fax agent. We also use Playwright for automation in the back and FastAPI on Python for the microservices.

The project is still in development and not 100% deployed yet. Intuz provides me with access to all the logs. We share an AWS account and have a shared GitHub account for this purpose.

What is the team composition?

We have two dedicated teammates: a senior software engineer and a data scientist who also serves as an AI engineer. We also have a tech lead, a project manager, and a DevOps engineer who comes and goes depending on the need. A designer and a frontend engineer also come and go as the project demands.

How did you come to work with Intuz?

Intuz’s founder and I were friends back in our USC days. I knew he had a company, so I reached out when I had tech needs.

There were multiple reasons I chose Intuz. One of them was my connection with the team. I also had connections from my previous jobs. I was the CTO at a company that used offshoring companies back then. I had been working with offshore companies for 15–20 years at this point.

There were a few things that made a difference for me. One was the price. Another was that Intuz had availability. They also had some exposure to similar healthcare projects. I have a healthcare company, so I was looking for a company that could support our back office with digital and AI transformation. Intuz was able to show me other experiences where they had similar projects. They walked me through those projects, which made it compelling that they were exposed to healthcare automation. That made the choice easier.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay Intuz $15,000–$20,000 per month, depending on how many people are engaged. We’ve spent around $120,000–$130,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Intuz in April 2025, and our relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Intuz’s work is helping us save time and money. I had a similar company in the past, and I used to have a five-person team whose job was to read and send out faxes. Now, I have half a person assigned to that because of all the automation.

We used to pay $25 per hour, so that was $125 per hour. We also worked 40 hours per week, so we spent $5,000 per week. We had 26 pay periods, so we spent $260,000 per year. Now, we’re looking at $250,000 in savings per year because of the automation. That’s just one of the projects.

The good part is that I don’t have to scale up or down my team because the automation is running so efficiently. Even when I have to scale it, it’s going to be much cheaper to scale.

How did Intuz perform from a project management standpoint?

Intuz delivers on time and on budget. We’ve had delays, but those aren’t necessarily related to project management. The delays are because of the discovery phase. We ended up experimenting with running all the models locally. That didn’t work out, so we migrated all the agents to the cloud on AWS. That delayed the project a little bit. However, that’s not a project management issue. It’s standard practice in the industry to try an approach and then move on to a different approach if it doesn’t work.

We use Google Docs and Slack. Initially, we used Bascamp, but have since moved on to Linear. Linear has a nice Slack integration, so we can solve many problems on Slack itself. We also have two meetings per week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about Intuz is their ability to convert my vision into reality. I came in with a vague vision. The team was patient in getting that vision out of me and into the documents. Then, they turned it into reality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s one area for sure. I wasn’t a fan of Basecamp, so I’m happy we eventually migrated to Linear.

Another thing is that we’re in the Pacific Time Zone. Intuz is willing to have meetings in our time zone, but the engineers don’t have laptops. During meetings, we don’t go through the code. If we have to go through the code, I have to dial in during the daytime. That’s a bit weird.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t have a vague vision. Have a concrete vision; that’ll make your life easier. I’ve worked through my vision, and that’s where my delay came from. I had a vision, but I didn’t have defined specifications. Intuz was able to turn that vision into something tangible, but that resulted in delays.

If you have a well-thought-out feature plan and specifications, your life will be easier in terms of how fast the output comes through.

This vendor has been an exceptional partner across multiple facets of our technology stack. They’ve contributed to front-end and back-end development, IoT systems, big data pipelines, and device firmware, while also helping us reduce cloud infrastructure costs and explore AI-driven solutions. In addition to their technical capabilities, they’ve been highly flexible, proactive in managing deliverables, and excellent at converting high-level business goals into practical technical implementations. Their collaborative approach, reliability, and ability to scale with our needs have made them an invaluable extension of our team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The vendor successfully delivered several high-priority features within our web application, accelerating our development timeline. They built new big data pipelines and aggregation logic to support our large-scale IoT infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on data validation and accuracy. Their efforts in cloud optimization led to a 30% reduction in our infrastructure costs. Additionally, their communication was consistently clear, proactive, and responsive—something our internal team and stakeholders frequently praised throughout the engagement. Their ability to stay aligned with our goals and provide regular updates contributed significantly to the project’s overall success.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Having worked with many offshore teams, what stands out most about Intuz is how seamlessly they operate—more like a stateside agency than a traditional offshore provider. They offer true partnership: we’re able to scale resources up or down as needed, are always given adequate notice around personnel availability, and enjoy consistent responsiveness to messages and ad-hoc meetings. What’s especially impressive is their ability to match us with experts who not only have deep technical skills but also align well with our specific project needs. Their reliability, flexibility, and professionalism truly set them apart.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Intuz could have done differently?

Overall, we’ve had a very positive experience with Intuz, and there’s little I would change. If anything, having more overlap with our time zone would make real-time collaboration even smoother—but given the offshore nature of the team, that’s more of a logistical challenge than a shortcoming. They've done a great job accommodating our schedule and maintaining strong communication despite the time difference.

The iOS and Android application should support multi-language with the ability to edit, copy and share the translated text and audio via native sharing feature as well as maintain the history of the conversions and translations for future reference.

Intuz had good experience in AI based app development so we relied on their recommendations be it UI/UX or selecting a better fit API out of the many APIs that are available like OpenAI, AWS Polly, etc… The deliverables included design, development, launch and on-going product support and maintenance of the mobile and backend application.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I've worked with Intuz for over 10 years at various companies. Currently, I'm the CEO of Zureli, an online directory and research company for environmentally-friendly products. We work with other organizations to help them transition to be more environmentally friendly to accelerate the eco-friendly business model.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Intuz?

We needed help with web development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Intuz has provided various services, including app development on Windows and Android for the company I was working with when I first started working with Intuz. Since I started in my current role, they've developed a database of environmentally-friendly products on Zureli, which they now maintain, upgrade, and run.

What is the team composition?

I usually work with a small team from Intuz. There is usually one teammate heading up the project, but I also have access to their CEO and support teammates. I've also worked with an SEO specialist.

How did you come to work with Intuz?

I found Intuz online 10–12 years ago and then traveled to India to meet them. Our first project was a successful app for the real estate industry, and we've been working together ever since.

How much have you invested with them?

Over the last decade, I'd estimate I've invested 150,000–200,000 in projects with Intuz.

What is the status of this engagement?

I've worked with Intuz for over 10 years at various companies; our first project kicked off in 2010.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Some developers don't always deliver on what they promise or change the pricing or quality. Intuz always delivers what they say they will. I've never had an issue working with their team, which is why I've continued a personal working relationship with them for so long.

How did Intuz perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is good. There have been occasional times when something has slipped through the cracks, but it's very rarely. Intuz is good at delivering on time. We communicate through an online portal that timestamps our messages, so we know exactly when a request is placed and when it gets fulfilled; we also use Basecamp. We always know exactly where we are in the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The trouble with outsourced development is that clients never really know what is going on — I have no idea how long it takes to produce a piece of code. However, over the years, I've gained a level of trust with them. If they say the development will take five hours, I believe it will take five hours.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their design approach is different than that of a company based in the Western Hemisphere. Their sites were originally blingy, but they've addressed that issue a little. Personally, I'd use them more for their technical prowess than design.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You should try Intuz and see how they can work for you.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a founder at 4b, a social and news platform.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Intuz?

I needed web and mobile development to bring my idea to life.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I gave the idea and framework, like sketches, processes, algorithms, and consumer-facing wireframes to them. They did some fine-tuning, made it more user-friendly and developed the mobile app for Android and iOS, as well as a website. They’re currently doing progressive development for other things.

What is the team composition?

There were less than 10 people, mostly project managers.

How did you come to work with Intuz?

Over several months, I did research and spoke to many different organizations from various platforms and levels. When I pitched the idea to Intuz, they gave authentic feedback. They spent a lot of time with me, creating faith and security on my side that they could deliver what they promised, before ever signing a contract.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in June 2019 and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product was delivered in February 2020, but it isn’t live yet, so I don’t have any user metrics. I’m very satisfied with their team.

How did Intuz perform from a project management standpoint?

They did very well. As a small organization, I don’t have a ton of resources, so they went above and beyond to make up for it. Communication was great. We used Basecamp and email. We had a contact in my time zone that I could reach whenever I needed. He was very responsive. We had meetings daily or weekly, depending on current needs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re willing to work around me. For example, they took on a lot of the reporting and feedback that would usually come from me, because I lacked the resources to do it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing substantial I can think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They're an offshore team. That means they are on opposite time zones from the US. That worked for me because I often work late at night. However, for a larger company that has regular business hours, it might delay the project slightly. They have an option for U.S. based programmers, but it is more costly.
