Inteli-K provided training and consulting to help a tequila producer develop dashboards and flows on monday.com. The team was responsible for helping improve the client's project management and sales processes.
Thanks to Inteli-K's support, the client saw positive results, including improved automation and reduced operational work. The team met deadlines and was committed to the project. However, the client expected more advice and a deeper understanding of their operation to improve recommendations.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the commercial manager of Casa Loy Tequilera, a family-owned tequila producer in Jalisco, Mexico. We manage the entire process from agave cultivation to bottling. We offer both our own brands and private label tequila production for partners seeking quality and reliability.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Inteli-K?
We needed help with the Monday.com platform.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Inteli-K helped and trained us to develop our dashboards and flows on monday.com. The team created dashboards for our project management and sales processes.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 2–5 teammates from Inteli-K.
How did you come to work with Inteli-K?
We hired Monday.com, and Inteli-K contacted us directly to provide the service.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from September 2022–September 2025 and continue
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We had positive results from using monday.com in Casa Loy Tequilera. The platform helped us structure and automate internal processes, track activities, and reduce operational work. In practical terms, some of these automations allowed us to absorb tasks that previously required a person's dedication.
Moreover, in 2022 and 2023, we operated with Pro memberships, hiring only what we considered necessary for our operation. During that period, we already used the platform, and Inteli-K's team knew our operation, processes, and dashboards.
Later, for the 2024–2025 period, Inteli-K recommended and sold us the Enterprise plan, presenting it as necessary for certain functionalities, mainly related to information visualization per person and the relationship or integration between different dashboards.
With the subsequent experience, particularly when reviewing our operation toward the end of 2025, we realized that those functionalities weren't truly indispensable for our operational model. We could solve our needs with a much simpler configuration and a lower membership level.
Therefore, although we can recognize quantifiable benefits of monday.com — mainly process automation and operational load reduction — we haven't identified an additional quantifiable benefit generated specifically by the Enterprise plan that justifies the investment difference compared to Pro.
We don't question that monday.com generated value. In fact, we recognize that the platform helped us considerably. What we question is that, knowing our operation and having the background that we worked correctly with Pro during 2022 and 2023, we were recommended a considerably more expensive Enterprise solution without subsequently proving that the additional functionalities were necessary or generated a return proportional to that investment.
We expected Inteli-K to provide advice based on our real needs, not only on the functionalities available in a higher membership level. As a commercial partner and expert in our operation, we expected them to help us determine the right plan for Casa Loy, even if that meant recommending a less costly plan.
In conclusion, the project with monday.com did generate improvements and savings for Casa Loy, but those results don't justify the Enterprise plan's hiring. The evidence of our own operation is that we can currently obtain similar benefits using a less costly solution.
How did Inteli-K perform from a project management standpoint?
Inteli-K's project management was generally good regarding meeting deadlines and executing the contracted activities. In particular, Betsua and Claudia (Customer Success) were very committed to the project. They followed up, got involved in the sessions, and, in general, met the established times and objectives within the contracted hours.
In that sense, I didn't have a significant complaint regarding the delivery times. On the contrary, I considered that both had a good disposition and commitment during the implementation.
Where I considered there was an important opportunity for improvement was in the advisory part. Since we worked under a contracted hours scheme, the available time was limited, and we needed to make the most of each training and consulting hour. Therefore, it was important that, from the beginning, they had a deep knowledge of our operation and monday.com's capabilities to identify what the platform could really bring to Casa Loy and how we could take advantage of it.
In practice, many of the sessions focused on meeting the specific objectives we had defined within the contracted hours. This allowed us to move forward and meet the deliverables but left little room for more strategic advice on what else we could do with the platform, which functionalities we really needed, and which we didn't.Therefore, my evaluation was as follows:
- Meeting deadlines: Good. The established commitments and times were met.
- Team commitment: Good. Betsua and Claudia showed disposition and follow-up.
- Execution: Good. The established objectives were implemented within the contracted hours.
- Strategic advice: This was the main improvement point. I expected more knowledge of our operation and Monday.com's capabilities to guide us on how to take advantage of the platform and, above all, which service level we really needed.
The problem wasn't the lack of commitment from the team that executed the project. Instead, the scope of the advice was too limited by the contracted hours, and a more consultative vision was missing to help us make better decisions about the platform.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Betsua was impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The main aspect Inteli-K could have done differently was to really take on an advisory role, not only a sales role.
I would expect a commercial partner to first analyze the client's operation, processes, and real needs in depth. Based on that, they would recommend the appropriate solution and membership level, even if that meant hiring a less costly plan.
In our case, I considered that we were recommended an Enterprise plan without a sufficiently justified operational need to hire it. Some functionalities presented as reasons to upgrade were relatively simple needs that we later proved we could solve without Enterprise.
What I would have liked the most was for Inteli-K to tell us, “For what you really need, Pro is enough,” even if that meant a smaller sale for Inteli-K.
For me, that's the difference between a seller and an advisor. An advisor should seek that the client hires what they really need and that the investment makes sense for their operation. They shouldn't simply seek to place the higher-value plan.
Moreover, I recognized that, during the project's execution, there were very committed people, the deadlines were met, and the established objectives were achieved. My main area of opportunity for Inteli-K was in the diagnostic and recommendation stage: knowing the client better, understanding their operation, and recommending the appropriate solution before selling a higher-level solution.
