BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Lead Web Developer/Director at Novaweb Afrika. Our company has about 10 employees. I oversee our digital products and vendor relationships.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire INSIGNIA PRODUCTIONS?

We needed to change the way we were marketing our business and explaining what we do if we want to gain a new client base. We thought a good avenue for this would be a catchy video, but we did not have any in-house experience with video production, so we decided to outsource this service.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals for the project was to see an increase in traffic to our website, time spent on our website, and client base.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched online for Video Productions companies in Nairobi, Kenya and compiled a list of 3 based on their portfolios on their websites. We ended up selecting Insignia Productions based on the quality of their final proposal, their willingness to receive feedback from us and their budget was within what we wanted.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

After selecting Insignia, they started working with us to get to know our business. They worked with us to get to know our product and the goals of the videos, and then we collaborated on our script and storyboard. The end-product is a marketing video for our social media platforms.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They provided a talented four-person filming crew and one animator for the post-production work. We worked well all of us throughout the planning stages of the video. They worked alongside us to make sure the scripts represented our goal as a company.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within a span of 2 months after we launched the documentary, there was a 65% increase in overall traffic and a notable increase in our client base. Most of the viewers appreciate the fun/interactive approach to the product and the professional look-and-feel of the documentary.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their team gave us a clear idea of when we would see each draft of the video, and they stuck to that timeline. Overall we were impressed by the timeliness of the team. They are an amazing team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were amazed by the knowledge and experience that Insignia had about video/documentary production, and even more so by the creativity. We will certainly engage with Insignia Productions again for any video/documentary productions needs that we have in the future.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We were very satisfied with their work. Highly recommending them to anyone.
