We had a hard time finding dedicated workers during the plandemic. We needed to make many changes quickly to one of our applications based on the changes required to adapt for Covid issues. We had a variety of php and wordpress plugin integration we needed quickly.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have a pretty aggressive schedule. Our in house development team has been working together for 12 years as a minimum so we know exactly how long everything should take. We provided Infowind with specific tasks on the project and my in house developers worked with them on a daily or weekly basis depending on the tasks to ensure everything was completed correctly and on schedule.

We used Trello and Skype to communicate. We had set our expectations and they worked on our schedule as we had set.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They asked questions when something was not clear and they did great coding work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing we would have liked better was an adjustment to USA hours, but we understand that for short term work, it is not acceptable to assume they will work until 4 in the morning their time. We will use them again when we need additional help that does not require us to hire an additional full time developer.

We built a new Shopify store for a fashion retailer in Berlin. In the process, an existing store based on drupal e-ccommerce was migrated. Infowind helped us to develop an innovative APP, which allows customers not only to buy products through the Shopify Check Out, but to reserve them for a fitting in the stationary store. We also developed a custom theme for the client.

We work with infowind for more then 2 years now and these guys deliver great quality. They are very fast and flexible and they are also willing to enter new territory together with us.

For the project we developed a Shopify APP based on Lavarel.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Together we developed a really new and innovative way for a customer check out in Shopify. The whole thing in an APP that we can also easily and flexibly adapt for new customers.

We work together in weekly sprints. We deliver the user stories. To do this, we create tickets on a shared Trello board. These tickets are then processed together.

The Infowind team was really keen on delivering good quality. They never give up even when it get´s a bit harder to find a solution.

I’m a co-founder and CEO at RasMal, a cap table management firm and SaaS-based platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infowind Technologies?

I’ve dealt with Infowind in three other projects before, and this was our most recent one. In this engagement, they created a platform where users could collect points and bonuses when they shared ads. They also built the platform’s iOS and Android versions.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

For this project, I already had a prototype and UI/UX design on Adobe. I shared these with the Infowind team, and we discussed how it should work. We also talked about the technology behind it. After these discussions, they started developing it. They created an admin panel that could be accessed through a link, which I provided through GoDaddy. Using AWS, their team built the platform’s servers and database. 

At present, we’re in the final phase of the project. We’re testing the platform internally and expect to go live by next month. In terms of functionality, it allows users to register for free. Users then find ads and get rewarded with points once they watch and share the videos. In addition, the Infowind team handles the admin webpage, while I do all the ads and administrative tasks.

I usually work with their manager or founder, who I know very well. They also have a project manager who takes note of my requirements. Apart from that manager, a team of 5–6 people works behind the scenes. The manager shares my feedback and requirements with that team.

So far, we’ve spent between $10,000–$25,000.

We started working together in September 2017, and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Infowind is truly professional, and we have a friendly relationship with them. Since I’m not a tech-savvy person, issues come up when we try to communicate. However, they’re kind and patient; they spend time with me to help me understand what they’re doing. On top of that, they’re honest, so I’m confident in their services. 

Some of our projects have taken us forever to finish, but that’s because of my financial situation. That being said, they don’t engage just for the money; they truly want to have a successful project and relationship with me. That’s great for me. 

How did Infowind Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve never missed any deadlines because their time management skills are good. For project management, we use Jira, where they put tasks and timelines. If I encounter any issues, I can put them on Jira. 

To communicate, we have a special Skype chat room where we discuss everything once the project begins. Since I’m not a technical person, I can’t explain ideas well, so I feel more comfortable sharing pictures via Skype. Prior to the project’s start, we send emails and call each other through Zoom. When it’s complete, we use Jira to follow up on errors and to see the timeline of the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve met my time expectations, and they’re affordable. We also feel comfortable working with them because they’re trustworthy — that’s the most important thing for us. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should hire better UI/UX designers. Other than that, they should just keep going.

Write your ideas, design your workflows, and then share them with the Infowind team. This way, you save plenty of time and money. Both you and their team will understand what you want. This advice isn’t just for using Infowind; it’s for any IT company that’s working with you.

After reviewing the requirements and business flow with Infowind. It didn’t take them long to come up with the plan and schedule to complete the project. They were transparent with time and cost and work diligently to optimize the resources and time which is crucial to our project. After approval the work started as planned and continue to progress as expected. The feedback provided on development and design was addressed in a timely manner within one or two days.

Besides the involvement of the CEO. There are 6 people on the team including the Project Manager, three developers, one designer, and one quality.

We are on track on launch the first scope of our project and start beta testing in August this year. And because of the good quality and timely completion, we decided to award the second phase of the work to Infowind Technologies.

The project management is great. Very responsive, clear and open communication, and used multiple tools and technologies to communicate including Skype, WhatsApp and on the development side we use bitbucket and other project management tools.

We had direct access to the team which is very important to us and if the involvement and support of the management are very crucial to the success of the project especially with communication with all team members and make sure everyone is on the same page.
