Overall, we were looking for Indexsy to help us increase our traffic and increase reach on content we already had, plus the development of new content. The key deliverable obviously being an increase in organic search traffic.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Results were delivered exceptionally fast, with organic traffic more than doubling in a 5 month span. And, I would consider myself someone who has a relatively strong grasp on SEO, but just didn't have the time to do it, and I can say that it was not done with any sort of skeptical tactics.

Communication is done through a platform called Basecamp. I've had extremely productive conservations with them, and they're always quick to reply.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their strong communication and general SEO knowledge is impressive. They would relay on page SEO tactics to me, I'd implement them, and would see results in extremely quick fashion.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

With us doubling traffic in less than 5 months and adding hundreds of new recurring revenue customers a month because of it, I can't really complain about anything.

We are a cloud kitchen business based in London. We are redefining Indian food by serving health-focused lunch and dinner to customers via third party delivery apps as well as corporate catering options. I am the Founder and Managing Director.

Similar to my remarks about Jacky - it's the combining of expert technical knowledge, with a smart business nous. It's so hard to find. They also got the needs of our business very quickly, which was ideal.

While doing independent business in Germany, we met the founder of Indexsy by chance. He was likable and passionate about his services. A few months later, it was clear we needed to solicit the facilities for an agency. It was a quick decision to take out his business card and make a phone call.

Indexsy led the entire process, from planning and strategy development to segmentation of campaigns and implementing an enhanced strategy. The team made structural changes to the site. All work was delivered on time.

We mainly interacted with Jacky (Founder, Indexsy). While there weren’t any direct dealings with his team, there were a number of people involved.

Can you share any statistics or metrics that speak to the quality of their work and impact of the engagement?

We’re now focusing on developing the strategy over a period of time. There’s been a dramatic increase in traffic and sales, especially in areas where we haven’t formally formed a strong presence. Indexsy’s work is encouraging for our business.

How did Indexsy perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was executed seamlessly by Jacky. He’s easy to work with and reachable. We spoke over Skype and email. Meetings were constructive and held on time. Questions were answered, and changes were made when necessary.

What impresses you about Indexsy?

Indexsy is extremely confident in their work. They are assertive about the quality that they offer. Their personal package and support are worth every penny, and the quality speaks for itself.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As a startup, we need to be able to pivot quickly. Indexsy could build a degree of flexibility into their processes. But overall, that’s a minor point.

I’m the VP of marketing for a promotional products company. We have been in business since 2001 and have invested substantially in our online efforts. I’m responsible for directing new product introductions and marketing efforts.

We had an initial meeting to review the project’s goals and introduce ourselves. From there, we received an initial plan, scope of work, and projected budget. We signed the contract and began working together immediately.

Indexsy conducted a site audit, competitor audit and analysis, and keyword analysis. They also proposed keyword strategies and prepared a comprehensive plan for our future efforts.

Can you share any statistics or metrics that speak to the quality of their work and impact of the engagement?

Our keyword targets were considered medium- and high-difficulty. Indexsy was able to put us on the second page rather quickly and moved us into position nine for our 10 targeted markets over the course of the campaign. The 10th is an ongoing effort, but we are extremely impressed with the results.

In addition, we are now ranking for a series of keywords for existing products that we had overlooked. These are converting at a respectable rate, which is just fantastic.

How did Indexsy perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re pleasant to work with and highly detail-oriented. Our communication has been clear and concise.

I was the performance marketer and head of digital acquisition for a dating app based in London. I worked with them for months and focused on growing their user base.

We were looking to increase our organic presence after the last SEO [search engine optimization] company we had worked with didn’t provide measurable results. We looked to Indexsy to help create a content calendar, build links via content marketing, and provide on-site SEO.

We were looking to increase organic traffic by at least 25% as well as organic signups by 10%.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We wanted to own the adult dating app scene, so we were focusing on certain keywords—not only head terms but also long tail terms such as threesomes. Our target market encompasses a pretty vast demographic which means that we were not only focusing on the U.K. but also the U.S. Indexsy writes all of the verbiages for our location pages on our website and helps us optimize our menu with the right language.

What was the team composition?

We’ve been dealing with Jacky Chou [Founder, Indexsy] for the SEO efforts. We recently started working with them more on the social aspect, but that's another contract.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As mentioned above, we wanted to hit a 25% increase in organic traffic and a 10% increase in organic signups. We hit a 40% increase in organic traffic but only 7.5% increase in organic signups. We aimed for the moon and didn’t expect them to reach our expectations.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Upon signing the contract, we were immediately invited to join their company Slack group as well as Basecamp. They answered our messages within 30 minutes during working hours and everything was documented clearly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

As mentioned on their listing page, they really under promise and over deliver.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants to grow organically.

I am a co-founder and the principal designer of a branding studio called Studio Humm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Indexsy?

We were working for a Berlin-based startup which published visual trends in order to generate leads and create more awareness about their own photography. Up until that point, it hadn’t caught on in terms of traction, views and engagement, so they came to us asking to develop something which could generate more business and improve metrics.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially worked with Indexsy on turning the client’s old blog posts and PDF files into dedicated landing pages and websites, with their own domains. As a specialized retargeting and SEO agency, they worked on getting those published and indexing them as well. They also provided pay-per-click [PPC] management. Everything was constructed based on the SEO [search engine optimization] and indexing guidelines they provided.

What is the team dynamic? 

Jacky Chou, their founder, managed PPC and SEO on their side. He was our main point of contact, and we didn't really mind who performed the actual work, as long as the quote would not be inflated beyond initial expectations.

How did you come to work with Indexsy?

We are currently based in Romania and had worked with a few local companies in the past, but needed a partner with international expertise; one who could handle a more complex project without us having to micromanage them. Indexsy has worked with clients in North America and the EMEA [Europe, the Middle East, and Africa] region.

We asked our connections within Berlin and received 2 recommendations for Indexsy and their principal, Jacky Chou. They’d had a number of collaborators, were trustworthy and experienced, and could provide services which matched what we were working on.

How much have you invested with them?

Overall, it was a $40,000 to $50,000 project, out of which Indexsy’s work was around $25,000. They handled the budget directly with the end-client. We weren’t really interested in getting a cut from subcontracting to Indexsy; we enjoyed working with them a lot, so wanted them to receive as fair a price as possible.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Indexsy at some point between April and June 2017. Our first visual trends projects with them took place around May and this particular project concluded around July. Indexsy continued the PPC and SEO work for a longer period of time after we delivered our side of the project. Our collaboration continues now on a consultancy model. We will go to them whenever we need them in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They enjoyed working with us and we very much enjoyed working with them. We’re looking forward to continuing the relationship if the opportunity presents itself.

We made some internal post-project presentations for the final product, but this occurred while they were still gathering SEO and PPC data. It takes a while to gain traction in this area, and we were just at the start. Compared to other projects, we saw a 300-400% increase in inbound contacts, and somewhere around 200-300 highly qualified leads.

I’ve been talking to the client, who has been excited about the results of the campaign. Indexsy generated a lot of new leads, but the lead-to-conversion time is 3–4 months. I believe that the company signed one client for a 5-figure contract, largely based off of this campaign.

How did Indexsy perform from a project management standpoint?

They were well-organized and kept everything under control. One thing I liked about them was the lack of extra information. Many agencies tend to flood us with numbers and stats, but they kept it simple and business-oriented. They were objective and numbers-oriented, with no added fluff.

They were communicative throughout the process. We had a Slack channel on which I could tag Jacky and ask questions, and have him come back with an answer within 2–3 hours. We also had phone calls, and had a conference call on Zoom at one point, since Slack didn’t have that feature yet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the reasons for our good collaboration is that both of our agencies look at the bigger context and not just at the quality of our own deliverables. We look at the client’s actual needs on a quarterly or yearly basis and see where a particular campaign fits into everything. 

The campaign brief wasn’t followed to the letter because Indexsy advised us on which approaches would and wouldn’t work. They came up with ideas on how to maximize our return on investment, keep everything under control, reach estimations, and make sure everything was relevant to the client. We could have gotten lots of leads, but they may not have been high-quality or a good fit for the company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The software they use for generating metrics reports doesn’t offer the full picture. It gave us all the numbers we needed, but we sometimes wanted to look at something extra and see, for example, if one of our results had been influenced by another campaign on the client side.

I'm the Co-founder and CMO at DASH-SEO, which is an SEO [Search Engine Optimization] and digital marketign agency with local, domestic, and international clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Indexsy?

We work with a number of hedge funds, which operate in a  very competitive niche industry. As a result, they require a lot of grunt work on technical frameworks from an SEO perspective. It was necessary to have a third-party vendor help us address those challenges because we couldn't allocate enough resourse to appease the end-customer.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a white label relationship with them for our East Coast hedge fund clients. They helped us with overall SEO, technical SEO, backlink acquisition, and outreach.

While PPC management is in their wheelhouse, this engagement only involved an organic approach, not a paid one. We limited our collaboration exclusively to SEO.

Jacky, the founder, was our main point of contact working with a 5-6 person team behind the scenes.

They came recommended by a mutual colleague. Our past experience with agency outsourcing convinced us that Indexsy could help.

We spent approximately $20,000 – $25,000 per month, totaling over $100,000.

Work began in January and concluded in June. We plan to do business with them again quite soon.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

For one client, Jacky increased organic traffic by 60% in a six-month timeframe. The referring domains increased 25% - 30% as part of the backlink acquisition campaign they ran for us, which goes hand-in-hand with overall organic traffic increase.

How did Indexsy perform from a project management standpoint?

Jacky was totally on it – 100% clear communication. I appreciated not having to worry about managing yet another team. Jacky took the project, spearheaded the movements, and ran with it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They delivered either on-time or earlier than expected. Whereas other agencies might conjure excuses for project delays, Jacky took the opposite approach. 

Advice for potential customers?

I always recommend due diligence before choosing a vendor. This was an exceptional case because Indexsy came recommended.

PMC Telecom is an online retailer of headsets and phone systems. We rely on outside vendors a lot, and have 15-20 in-house members, not including our warehousing staff. I am the Digital Marketing Manager.

What challenge were you trying to address with Indexsy?

I am in charge of working with any outside agencies for editing our website, managing pay-per-click and increasing our traffic. This is what we brought Indexsy in for.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Indexsy provided SEO and conversion optimization. As part of this, Jacky Chou [owner] also made some outreach for link-building on industry-related places.

We had a monstrous number of pages indexed in Google, and, even though there were high-converting search terms, they weren’t leading to the correct pages, so we weren’t seeing sales as a result. Indexsy helped us realign the site so that people would be directed to a sales page related to their search.

What is the team dynamic?

Jacky is our main point of contact. We communicate through a mix of email and Slack. If we need to have a real-time conversation, we will either have it on the phone or on Slack.

We received a referral from a U.S. retail company. I talked to one of their employees about our issue with keyword cannibalization, and he mentioned Jacky Chou as someone who could help. We had a conversation the day after, and went from there.

We started working with Indexsy in October 2016, and have an ongoing relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen a 37% year-on-year organic uplift, and a 2% increase in conversions. Compared to last year, we’ve had a 27.57% revenue increase, and our conversion rate has gone up by 0.4%. It’s not massive, but it is a good result.

We are ranking for 5,200 organic Google keywords at the moment, compared to 3,000 in November 2016.

How did Indexsy perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve performed well, and I have no complaints. I can be a nightmare in terms of responsiveness, but Jacky has been easy to get a hold of.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When it comes to agencies, the thing I value most is transparency. Jacky has been very transparent, and never oversold himself when delivering the work everyone else seems to do.

The brief with Jacky was vague to begin with since, at the end of the day, I and the company just needed help.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not that I am aware of. I’m sure that there are areas Indexsy might be struggling with, but they didn’t appear in my case.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I speak the language of SEO and the internet, but not all company owners do. This is an advantage to have when working with Indexsy or any other SEO company. Having an in-house person who is familiar with the field can speed things up, but this isn’t really a Indexsy-dependent thing.

We’ve had some struggles with our organic rankings for some important keywords. It’s something that popped up over the last couple of years. We’ve talked to a lot of people and they didn’t have any insight.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When I talked to Jacky [Founder, Indexsy], he primarily talked about the technical side of SEO, the link building aspect of SEO, and some onsite issues and things like that. We’ve implemented some of the strategies with building up and remarketing audiences, not just from the AdWords side, but Facebook re-marketing and how to use that to support organic growth and some of those other related areas.

We have the movement going the way we wanted to. He’s still advising, but it’s not as intensive of an engagement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen the ranking increases. Our core keywords that were stuck are now unstuck. We were in the 15-16 range for our 3 major keywords. We’re currently 4, 5, and 6 with a positive trend moving upwards.

How did Indexsy perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management might be his strongest asset. He’s organized and meticulous. His communication was top notch. He listened to our problems and he also communicates what they’re working on. Other times, we’ve engaged with other SEOs and we had no idea what they were actually working on. His project management and communication style was really good for us. We used Basecamp, Slack, email, and phone calls to correspond with each other.

What did you find most impressive about them?

He was honest and straightforward when we asked a question. I try to be a straight shooter and he was too. I appreciated that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that was a pain for us. The results speak for themselves. I can’t endorse him enough.

Do you have any advice for future clients of Indexsy?

Be open with your data, your goals, and your main points. He’s willing to listen. He’s not judgmental. Give him what you can. Open up to him to get the best out of him. That worked for us and I imagine it’d work for everybody else.

How did you select this vendor?

It was by luck. I did quite a bit of research and tried different companies that gave me false hope and empty promises. With great disappointment and hassle trying to cancel contracts with different vendors, I impatiently looked for an SEO company locally on Craigslist. I found Indexsy and Googled them. If they can be on Google's first page, they must be doing something right. So I contacted them. When I met with Jacky of Indexsy, he was very realistic, knowledgeable and upfront. I trusted him and felt comfortable with him even though I only met him a few times.

First, our website had to be redeveloped by Indexsy. Jacky gave us direction on theme, logo design, videos, contents, photos, etc. He had to work with the Real Estate Board for codes and implementations. Our team and his team worked daily with different ideas and changes. Our site was developed and launched quickly within a month with some changes. The project moved very quickly and flawlessly. Then Jacky launched our SEO marketing campaign.

We worked with Jacky and Tom of Indexsy. Jacky and Tom communicated with our team for changes and feedbacks. Their in-house team designed our team logo, created video and animations, and worked with our Real Estate Board for system implementations.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within the first 3 months, our ranking on Google was on the first page and it still is. Our sales have improved by more than 30% since the launch of our site. We continually get serious, good sales leads which result in successful sales. After tracking our sales leads, we eliminated some our all other advertisements without losing sales volume, thus reducing costs for us. Our net profit increased substantially since we launched our SEO marketing. We are extremely happy that we went with this decision to go with Indexsy. They truly delivered and went beyond our expectations.

They are extremely efficient and very quick with design changes. They seemed available almost 24-7. We communicated by phone, email, Whatsapp, WeChat, text, and links.

They are young, energetic, knowledgeable and upfront. They know what they are doing. We felt comfortable letting them work for us.
