They found someone who fit our needs from a tooling standpoint, which includes DBT, SQL, Snowflake, Python, and Power BI. Our main goal was to get a reliable extra set of hands who could jump in quickly and keep things moving forward.

The focus was on both development and design to make it easier for our doctors to evaluate spinal conditions and suggest non-surgical solutions. They supported us with a team lead, a developer, and a designer, all experienced and easy to work with. 

The Team Lead managed the project and made sure everything stayed on track. The AI Developer worked on the software that analyzes the scans using AI and machine learning. The UI/UX Designer made the app easy to use and visually clear for both our team and our patients.

We needed a full-time backend developer to help develop new features and maintain existing ones for our backend system called Joan.

The work involved handling a large-scale backend with several high-volume integrations. Because the system processes hundreds of API requests per minute, performance and scalability were very important.

Index.dev took on the whole search and hiring process for us. They screened and introduced a full‑time Python/Django developer who fit our stack (Django, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Docker, Linux) and our time‑zone (EU) and spoke excellent English.

Overall, we were happy with Index.dev’s service and the speed at which they found us a qualified developer. But if we had to point out one area for improvement, it would be around slightly more frequent check-ins early in the engagement, even though the developer was great and integrated into our team quickly. 

That said, whenever we did reach out, they were responsive and helpful, so it’s more of a small suggestion than a real issue.
