Deliverables encompass adding new features into a Custom CRM, mainly for our web version but also for mobile apps, iOS and Android. For the backend was used Python and for the frontend React. The platform was carefully designed with architecture, scalability, and security in mind, resulting in a fully functional and deployable solution ready for production release and managed on the AWS cloud.

Integration with media sources, customization options, and performance optimization. It requires an experienced Android developer to deliver a high-quality product.

I initially hired Perfsol to supplement our internal development capabilities. As our relationship grew, I started to need more and more of their services. They’re currently handling our entire technical stack, including front- and backend, Android, and iOS development. The technologies they use are Kotlin, Swift, and PHP. Perfsol is currently in charge of the ongoing development and maintenance of our messaging app. The app features a technology that monitors conversations for sensitive materials. If sensitive material is detected in a conversation, a notification is sent to the user’s parent or caregiver.

The app is robust and fully functional, and it’s now live in the app stores, which is a success for me. We’re just entering the testing phase to get user feedback.

Perfsol has performed very well in terms of project management. They deliver on time and are very transparent about pricing.

They align with my goals. I’m also impressed with their friendliness, transparency, and straightforward approach, as well as the speed at which they deal with issues and how those issues are dealt with.

For the moment, it's really going to become a question of if they can keep it up when we go live because this model works very well in its current state. But no, I don't have anything constructive to say because they have been able to pick up the speed and slow it down depending on our needs, which is incredibly useful at this early stage.

For what projects/services did your company hire Indeema Software Inc.?

The project was not very large in size but has challenges that needed in-depth customizations. For this contract, Indeema provided additional resources to update existing iOS and Android apps, as well as management resources to lead the developers.

SOLUTION

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

We've been working with Indeema for a while and needed assistance with updating a mobile application for the entertainment industry. Indeema has prior experience in that industry, and their development processes are well-established, which is why we chose them.

We worked with Indeema to connect with the relevant people and update the existing App. They started to update the apps for iOS and Android after we approved the quote and timeline. The update of the application consisted in improving the existing functionality.

The project also included the development of an admin panel, which allows application administrators to manage configurations, settings, and content. Indeema began by creating backend data models, admin, and APIs and adding them to the admin panel.

Since we've worked with Indeema before, we were confident that they could give us the resources we require. The recruitment process began with a meeting where we discussed needs, planned the project's scope, and identified necessary experts.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

The app is popular in the United States, and after updates, it received even more downloads. It is now easier to use and has more functionality. The results have exceeded our expectations, and the app is extremely well-developed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We worked together remotely, using Google Hangouts for our scheduled standup meetings and Slack for daily communication. Wireframes and designs were hosted by Figma, and we used specialized Indeema templates to manage project documentation. Thanks to this effective yet convenient setup, no information is ever lost.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It's because of their professionalism. Indeema has well-defined procedures that start with the Requirements phase and then move on to the regular SDLS phases. At the same time, they are very flexible and consider any requests from the clients, making them easy to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It can take some time to grasp the big picture, and it may be difficult to express what the customer is thinking. It's a minor issue, and I'm sure it's common when you start working with a new vendor. However, the more projects you work on together, the easier it is to understand each other.

We currently service both Domestic and International flights for both Australian and international travellers. How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for a company that has experience in Amadeus GDS. And found Perfsol they built similar systems before and knew how to work with different GDS systems. They suggested optimal solutions and help us to pass Amadeus certification for using that API.

They designed and developed flight booking systems from scratch. We first started with an intro call to go over our business challenges. Currently, they support it. We use the PHP symphony framework for Amadeus GDS integration. React.js framework for the front end.

We posted on Upwork for a freelance developer; instead, we found the talented team at Indeema. From the first conversation, they impressed us with their quick grasp of our project and their overall responsiveness.

The Indeema team assisted with the following aspects of the project: firmware fixes, admin panel and mobile app updates, product enhancements, and support. Indeema is professional and met our requests to investigate differences between out-of-the-box firmware and source code, add and test battery reading functions, and resolve issues with the firmware update and calibration in a timely manner. They took over our existing product and are still developing and supporting it. Indeema also investigated existing Back-End, Front-End, and AWS code, as well as Admin panel UI issues.

It’s two things — the first is meeting very tight deadlines. They’re comfortable putting resources on a task to ensure we hit the turnaround we need for our clients. The other is the quality of work. They usually get things right the first time, so I don’t have to keep retesting a build and sending it back for another version. That cuts down the time I spend redoing work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, they provide exactly what we need. We like them and will increase our usage with them. We’re moving everything from an old development firm to them as of next week.

I’ve worked with Perfsol while at two different companies: one was a search engine for people, and the other was a platform for creating podcasts. The latter is my current employer.

What challenge were you trying to address with Perfsol? 

For my first company, we needed to develop an admin portal. For the second project, Perfsol is creating our entire platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

At the outset of the project with my former company, we had a large project of data entry to tackle, and managing the data required a custom app to be developed. We defined the project very simply: what we needed and how we needed the application to behave. Two of their developers built the system, and we brought in a development lead when we decided to add some additional features.

The second project is an platform that allows people to upload and manage files and give context around their podcast episodes. There are also analytics features that provide creators with data on how many people have listened to their podcast. The platform has connections to both the App Store and the Play Store, as well as many other platforms. They’re both designing and developing this platform.

I provided them with a few designs and the concept for this platform, and Perfsol put together a proposal. Initially, we weren’t going to have a project manager, but it made more and more sense to bring one on as we progressed. Perfsol broke the work into quarters in their proposal with suggested budgets and personnel.

In both cases, Perfsol has worked with React.js and TypeScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend. They’ve also leveraged Express, Kubernetes, and AWS. Both platforms are web solutions.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Nicola on the first engagement (Partner) along wth two other developers. The second project has been much larger in scale than the first, so we’ve worked with Nicola as our main point of contact, along with Roman (Project Management Wizard). Roman has coordinated everything. There’s also been one frontend developer, a backend developer, a full-stack engineer, a part-time DevOps resource, and QA resource.

How did you come to work with Perfsol? 

I found them on UpWork initially.

The second project has cost around $50,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together on the second project since March 2022. The first project started in September 2020 and was still ongoing when I left.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I haven’t collected any quantitative metrics, but on the quality side, communication is the most important part of working with an outsourced partner, and their communication has been really good. We can speak to them on both a product and technological level, which is very helpful. They’re reactive to changes; we appreciate how dynamic they are.

How did Perfsol perform from a project management standpoint?

Because I have a technical background, I’ve been in touch with the developers a bit on this second project. These are only small touchpoints, though. We use Slack for communication and Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have very friendly leadership coming from both Nicola and Volodomyr (Co-Founder & CEO), which made the initial contracting stages very easy. Secondly, Perfsol’s communication is unlike anything I’ve seen from other outsourcing firms — very effective. Finally, their leadership takes an interest in the quality of the code that their team puts out. I can rest assured that senior resources will always review our code; if we ever take one of our projects in-house, our developers will be able to understand all of the code that Perfsol creates.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were some points of friction early on in the second project regarding expectations and how to tackle them. We let some question marks hang in time because we were working from scratch on the platform. This required us to open a sub-agreement some time into the project. Having a project manager has mitigated a lot of potential issues, however.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you’ve identified a technical leader on the project so you can go to someone with your questions. Take some time initially to explore the scope of the engagement as well: break it into milestones and ensure that they are layered in order of importance. Pay attention to how the work is structured.
