Develop functionality of an existing app, written in Flutter, for cross platform (iOS, Android) use, as well as developing the backend for the app based in AWS. The app controls multiple iOT devices based on the ESP32 chip, and is interfaceable via Cloud or BLE connection.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After a rough start to the project which was partially due to the state of the code Indeema inherited, the Indeema team made a breakthrough about 8 months after starting the project in that enabled clear and measurable progress. 

While the initial milestones took much longer to reach than originally estimated, once these issues were solved I was able to work with the team on additional changes and improvements in a productive manner. The app works as intended, and communication with the Indeema team became mostly seamless by the second stage of the project.

After figuring out the code that they inherited which was not in an ideal state, and after some changes to key personnel, communication surrounding expectations and timeline became very transparent.

Communication with Oleksandr was excellent. He was honest, and although we hit a few bumps in the road along the way, they did a great job of representing their company as well as our needs.

The functionality listed in the original estimate ultimately cost many multiples beyond what was originally quoted. However I am ultimately happy with the work.

We use Jira as a tracking tool, and it works really well for us. They’re very communicative if there are any issues. Otherwise, they’re good at completing their tasks and sticking to the timeline. We have meetings every two weeks to learn how things are going from both of our perspectives.
