I started off working with one of their designers who did a quick overhaul on my original screenshots before we began. The rest of the time I mainly dealt with just the project manager who informed me when parts were done and then I would test and send any bugs/feedback to him directly.

We would work on completing individual sections at a time that I could test and we would perfect each detail until the entire app was complete

I’m the president of a new ride-sharing platform called CueRide, which offers some different features than current leaders in the space.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink InfoSystem?
We needed a partner to build the driver and customer apps for the company, as well as a panel for our web app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They provided a turnkey solution, building our customer and driver apps. The platform allows consumers to order a ride, input payment, track receipts, and monitor the driver’s location. Their team built all the source code for it. They also created additional features, such as social media functions and the ability for customers to earn points to apply to in-app bonuses and benefits. All of that was customized and created for Android and iOS.
We took a few sabbaticals over the course of our partnership. I made several changes to the build and wanted to incorporate new ideas. We also needed to work on patents and secure funding. Now, we’re currently in our last phase of testing and in the process of transferring the completed web app to our servers.
The final app will allow customers to load their car into the app, so drivers can meet up with them to drive the owner’s vehicle to the destination. That’s one of the gaps we felt was needed in the ride-sharing industry.
What is the team composition?
We worked directly with Harnil (CEO Hyperlink InfoSystem) and two other managers. They dealt with the rest of the development team, but I didn’t have as much contact with the team as a whole.
How did you come to work with Hyperlink InfoSystem?
I started with a simple Google search and looked at reviews for several people. After reaching out, they provided me with a few test apps that they created in the past. What stood out most in our early meetings was their attention to detail in explaining their process. Unlike others, they were never vague about their work, which I appreciated.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $75,000 on the project.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in July 2017, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The overall quality of the apps has been phenomenal for the pricing. I feel like I have a million-dollar app, comparable to those of industry leaders. The deliverables will help me create a presence that makes us stand out in the space. I’m confident that our users will be impressed with the images Hyperlink InfoSystem created for us.
How did Hyperlink InfoSystem perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve done a phenomenal job with providing me with different points of contact. They’re the most professional partner I’ve ever hired. They have a very organized system for approving tasks within the scope of work. The project managers were able to seamlessly translate our vision to the developers working on source code. Having one person with all the information was ideal.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their patience was essential to the success of the project. It was originally only supposed to take between 6–8 months to complete the build, and it’s been a little over two years now due to delays on our end.
Regardless, they never put us on the back burner, always responding quickly and promptly to my questions and feedback. They’re always transparent, which stands out more than anything.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Because the project took a few years to complete, we ended up having to pay extra for their team to update the apps to match the latest iOS and Android operating systems. I thought that the developers would adjust to the current systems, but that wasn’t a huge issue.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Understand what you’re looking for in the development, writing down your ideas and questions. That way, you can cover all your bases with them early and stay on the same page for the duration of the project. For instance, go into inial meetings with as much information on the type of software you’re using as possible, so you can get everything answered.

We had a project manager, and an iOS developer working on the project. We also had a developer creating our admin panel

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Project was completed after several delays (5 months delayed). The app was never understood by the developers as testing was always a nightmare as work/processes were never done as requested.
We moved the rest of our development work away and had good experience with the new developers. They spend a lot of time, and our money, fixing their work.
For example our app is now not compatible with iOS 13 as they used 3rd party encryption methods and we are having to pay to get it fixed
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was good between our team and their development manager. However, there must be a breakdown in communication after that as things were constantly misunderstood and done incorrectly.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The development manager was nice and efficient. I got the impression there was a lack of manpower there and it was always a different developer working on our project, hence the lack of understanding.

We always make sure that we provide the best support and quality to all of our clients. So far, every client of Hyperlink Infosystem has been satisfied with our work, and we haven’t had any client disputes until now.
We believe this review was posted out of frustration for having paid money to work with iOS 13. This new version had just recently launched, so their current vendor might have charged them extra for their services.
Whenever new OS versions launch (iOS or Android), software solutions need to have a code update. This is nothing new—it’s the normal procedure.
As for the encryption comment, we encrypt our code so that no hacker can access anything if they tried. Our method is based on high-standard coding, which makes it very difficult to make changes for all but the best developers.
Since Clutch doesn’t release client data to vendors, we can’t confirm which client this is to properly address their concerns. However, we’d just like to say that, if this client comes back and contacts us directly, we’ll always strive to be helpful. But they’ll need to be mindful that we charge extra for technology upgrades or services beyond the scope of work.

We hired Hyperlink InfoSystem to take our app concept from idea to reality. We do not have any in-house developers, so we outsourced the development and design to Hyperlink InfoSystem for the Android and iOS applications.

Our app was built to solve the problem that people don't have enough time or money to do what they love. We wanted an easy-to-use app that was easy for us to manage.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We selected this vendor based on reviews and their overall price. We considered five different companies but found Hyperlink InfoSystem to be the most responsive with the most reasonable price.
Describe the project in detail.
Once we selected Hyperlink InfoSystem, we had a series of phone calls to work out the details of the app. We provided some rough sketches of the app design, along with more information about the concept. A few weeks later, the vendor provided two design samples. We had a few rounds of changes to the design in which the vendor was very responsive to. After the design was completed, we had a series of milestones such as a prototype app without the back-end functionality, then 50% complete and 100% complete. Throughout the development, we held meetings as needed (at least once a week) to address any questions and had multiple builds of the app for us to test and provide feedback on. Whenever a build was ready for testing, they always sent both Android and iOS versions at the same time. After the app launched (about three weeks ago), they remained engaged to support and technical problems or small changes we needed to address.
What was the team composition?
My interaction with the vendor was primarily through a program manager. However, I believe they also had one backend developer, one frontend developer, and one designer. On the business side (financials, etc.), I worked with a business analyst and a senior business developer. They remained fully engaged throughout the development, including periodic engagement from the program manager's boss to see how things were going.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The app launched around three weeks ago, and we continue to see the constant growth of downloads and users. The feedback from users has been positive. The design is straightforward and easy to use. There were a couple of small bugs that the team fixed very quickly. The vendor has been very responsive to feedback to make changes if needed.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was very effective. They did a great job of communicating with any message being responded to generally within an hour. They also kept us in the loop for managing our expectations on schedule, functionality, etc. We didn't use any task management software together to manage the project. At our weekly meeting, they would update me on what they are working on and give an estimated completion time. They were very understanding about feedback and worked well to be flexible with any changes from our side. Since they are in India, and we are on the US East Coast, we had our meetings early in the morning. This worked out well. They would be finishing their workday and could send us any updates. While they slept, we could test and provide feedback for them to address when they started their workday again. Occasionally there would be a language barrier where we would need to rephrase how we said something, but that was rare and primarily only in written communication. The vendor always took the time to ensure they fully understood our feedback.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We enjoyed working with the program manager. He worked tirelessly and long hours when needed to meet deadlines he put forward to us. He adapted to our many changes and comments and stayed in touch whenever we needed to talk to him. The cost was very reasonable, especially compared to development costs in the United States. We were a little worried at the beginning about what quality of work to expect, but our concerns were alleviated quickly. When they sent the first sample design, it was crisp, very professional, and exceptionally well done. We also really appreciated the occasional check-in from other areas of the company see if we were happy with how the development was going.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We always want things faster, but we also added and changed things throughout the development. Hyperlink InfoSystem worked as fast as they could, but most importantly, they didn't compromise on quality. The only recommendation we have would be to include a master schedule (i.e., MS Project, or another scheduling tool) that we can see as tasks are being started and completed. This insight would be beneficial to understand better what is being worked on and overall schedule without the need for emails or phone calls to discuss the plan.

I am a co-founder of TribeMinder, which offers a smartphone app by the same name that enables parents to exchange free babysitting favors with other parents.

For what projects/services did your company hire Hyperlink InfoSystem?
We initially started our venture with another development company. We spent an exorbitant about of time and money but received a mediocre application. We transferred the work to Hyperlink InfoSystem with the hope that they could complete the application, eliminate all of the bugs, and support us in going live.
What were your goals for this project?
We hoped to fix the known list of issues and go live as soon as possible. Our goals changed as we discovered a lot more bugs than we initially realized. The goal then became to resolve all of those problems and make the product suitable for launch.

How did you select this vendor?
My wife selected Hyperlink InfoSystem because they had positive online reviews from happy customers.
Describe the project in detail.
We agreed on a project plan that included dedicated resources working on our iOS and Android app, which would make it easier to predict costs and completion dates. I provided all of the product designs and handled much of the testing. We hoped to finish the bug fixes in a matter of weeks, but I was continually testing the application and discovering more bugs left over from the previous vendor. The testing phase became quite lengthy as a result. I also worked with Hyperlink InfoSystem to arrange our hosting services on AWS. I ended up picking up a lot of the AWS tasks because I absentmindedly did not name an AWS resource in the project plan. In retrospect, I should have requested an independent tester from their team, in addition to an AWS resource, to cut down on the extended processes of our project.

Hyperlink InfoSystem assigned a dedicated app developer and a part-time backend developer. Because I sometimes got stuck with some AWS issues, I relied on their team to assist when necessary.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Overall, I'm happy with the result. Hyperlink InfoSystem worked more efficiently and provided higher quality than our previous developer.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We communicated via messaging on Skype almost daily, and we held weekly phone calls. I set up shared Google Sheets so that we could track bugs.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The team was dedicated and flexible. It was convenient that the app developer acted as our main point of contact. He could process the functional requirements quite well and code the app, making separate business analysts or developers unnecessary. The whole team worked hard and cared about the success of our project. If they were falling behind on development, they worked on the weekends to make up the time.
Are there any areas for improvement?
In hindsight, I should have paid extra for someone from Hyperlink InfoSystem to act as an independent tester and AWS resource. Because I was the main tester, the work was somewhat unorganized and went back and forth between us, prolonging the whole project. The process would have been smoother had their developers and testers both worked on the project.
I also found that their team is not as familiar with AWS as I would have liked, which put the onus more on me. But ideally, that work would be incorporated into the project and cost.

We mainly communicated over Skype
What did you find most impressive about them?
Harnil Oza (Owner, Hyperlink InfoSystem) took time to reach out to me and ask how the project was going. Their service was better than some of the top firms in the US, and I’d definitely work with them again. I couldn’t have picked a better team. Seven months after the project wrapped up, I ran into a problem, and they fixed it without charging me extra. For them, it’s more about doing a good job than money.

Make sure the scope is clear and that you spend time understanding what you want. Their team can help and guide you as to what you can do and what’s available in the market. Have an open mind and listen to their ideas. Make sure both teams agree on time schedules and communication methods. Try to stay organized because of the time difference. All of these things worked perfectly for us.
