I am the director of Kroom Limited who specialise in mobile entertainment app development and commercial consultation in construction. I personally manage the projects, write the gameplay, and design graphics using Adobe create cloud.

Kroom created a couples board game and wanted to create equivalent mobile app. We first hired HumanIT for consultation on best platform to develop a cross platform mobile application that will work on all mobile and desktop devices. We then hired HumanIT for mobile application development, using Unity to develop front end and backend.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found HumanIt through connection in Ukraine and then worked on minor website development. I personally found Sergey and the rest of the team and HumanIt very pleasant to work with. Very professional and they delivered quality work at a very competitive price. So, we were keen to work with them again.

Kroom firstly worked on a design and plan to execute the development of the mobile application. We then got HumanIT involved in plan review and alteration meetings to establish best course of action and agree on deliverables.

The app was divided into 2 phases. Phase one was the initial release for review and end user testing. Phase 2 involved major changes to deliver fully functional app. HumanIT had large input on some game features and animation throughout the development process. We found their previous experience of great value as they made improvement to our overall game experience.

As a result, we have introduced phase 3 which we plan to work on in the near future. From a technical point, Kroom designed the app using Adobe creative Cloud and HumaIT develop front end and back end using Unity. Alex, one of the Unity developers and HumaIT was a key asset for this project. He also helped setup and integrate app analytics for Google, Firebase, Apple, Samsung, Amazon and Microsoft.

A project manager to overlook communication and HumanIT workload, Unity developer and Web developer. Key meetings were carried out with everyone involved. More technical day to day meeting I carried out with Alex Unity developer who's English was outstanding for a Ukrainian. Made it easy to communicate requirements.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Inhouse project target was 6 months and target agreed with HumanIT was 5 moths based on original plan. But I personally have made a lot of changes and added new features thought the development. Human It mange to deliver to our inhouse target of 6 moths which we were delighted with.

Since the app launched, we have had very positive expert review, 5 start end user review in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. But the app is still very new and we are figuring out marketing to gain more user and more feedback. Personally and from the feedback I got the app is very user friendly and fun to play which we are very happy with.

They were very friendly and professional at their communication. They are all Ukrainian but spoke great english. All our communication was in English. They were available to take the call to suit our time. As we are in Ireland they are 2h ahead meaning some days they took calls at 8pm their time and even weekends did work for us to get the project in the required timeframe.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very flexible and were able to find required resources quickly at short notice. Also delivering outstanding work as a result of paying great attention to our requirements. They always asked questions to make sure they fully understand the task at hand and what I personally and Kroom looking to achieve.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At present we cannot fault them when it come to our mobile application development. The only thing I would maybe suggest is get more expertice in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This way it would be a one stop shop for us. We are working on SEO inhouse and it is definately not an easy task. Takes years to perfect.

The goal of 321 play is to simplify the life of music teachers globally. That means that all the daily tasks, such as bills, scheduling, and course work should be easily done with a mobile solution. I hired HumanIT to help create this frame.

Since our business was at the startup phase we searched for an agile team that fit our demands. We didn't want to spend money and time on mockups and create a large overhead. HumanIT stood head and shoulders above the competition in those matters.

We had a kick-off meeting where HumanIT traveled to our offices in Augsburg, Germany. There, we discussed the prospects and how to best move ahead and get the best results given our tight budget. We decided to use React for the web development so that our site will be native on displays and we won't need to have an app developed.

We had one project manager and three full-stack developers who helped us in transferring our design ideas into reality.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project goal was to create an MVP. This was completed and we are currently in negations for further funding to get our product promoted and generate returns.

We had weekly meetings where to goals for the upcoming weekly sprint were discussed and also the past sprint was reviewed. We worked a lot with Skype, Dropbox, and live testing of the developed site.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They always had time for us. And when the Skype meetings were not enough to get some difficult ideas across, they would come and visit us in Augsburg, Germany so that we could find solutions in face-to-face meetings. They really went above and beyond what was required of them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were some minor security issues with the product. This was abused by hackers to deface the website. But since it was still in development, no harm was done. HumanIT used their know-how to fix this issue and make sure that it was safe for customers to use. All that was done free of charge.

HumanIT’s developers work very independently, so the collaboration does not necessitate much oversight or involvement from our side. The team is responsive and professional. We use Jira as a project management tool.

HumanIT played a key role in evolving our initial prototype into a fully functional MVP working product. Sergey and the team were always willing to support us, and had a strong understanding of our vision and requirements, translating them into a user-friendly and feature-rich useful application. 
From our initial meeting and planning stages to the final implementation, they maintained open lines of communication, ensuring that our feedback and suggestions were always considered and incorporated into the development process, despite the many challenged we faced during that turbulent time, they always delivered and were willing to engage with me and my team. I recommend Sergey and his team for anyone that wants to develop their project and wants a technology partner!

Human IT were always willing to support and help us in our pivots and adjustments to the market. One of the things I liked most about HumanIT was their ability to adapt to changing requirements and deliver on deadlines without compromising the quality of their work. They showed flexibility and agility in addressing challenges and implementing solutions that met our evolving needs. 
Their proactive approach to problem-solving, their support team for my product, and their attention to detail were key in achieving a ready-to-use, and reliable application within the agreed-upon timeframe. Despite that they had to move from one place to another in their country, due to the very difficult conflict they continued working as much as possible. Their work ethics and profesionalism earned my respect and admiration!
