Hotbed filmed multiple employees in our corporate office in one-on-one interviews. They provided all the equipment to capture on camera interviews and broll footage. After a day of filming, Hotbed edited and created three separate videos to highlight 1) the mission 2) the culture and 3) celebrate the company's 20th anniversary.

Hotbed Media was extremely responsive to any and all questions and comments during the entire process. The timeline was pretty aggressive but they actually completed the project a few days early!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Everyone on their team was committed to making the videos excellent, usable, and engaging. They understood the tone, voice, and messaging we wanted to portray with minimal instruction.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Hotbed Media could have done differently?

The only tiny thing I can even think of is when we made the schedule for interviews they didn't specify a couple time constraints (lunch, breaks) so we had to re-organize the schedule a little prior to filming. It wasn't really an issue for us at all, but less flexible companies may have struggled to make the changes.

I am the Director of Operations for a public foundation focused on gender equity. We provide grants and research to drive social change.

For what projects/services did your company hire Hotbed Media, and what were your goals?

We hired Hotbed to create 2 videos for us: 1 to show at our annual fundraising event and 1 to describe our organization and impact for multiple uses, including posting it on our website. Our main goal was to effectively explain to people what we do and why it matters.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with this vendor in the past due to some personal relationships between our team and the team at Hotbed.

The 2 videos were approximately 2-4 minutes long each. The video explaining our mission was the priority part of the project. Hotbed worked closely with us to plan and then carried out all production, graphics, and editing. They also completed updates to the video when we updated our branding post-production.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked directly with Mike Paulucci. He was a clear communicator and kept the project on track. He even worked with us to expedite the production process so that we had the video in time for our new website launch. Mike used Vimeo to provide me with the updated video for review, and I was able to easily comment and provide feedback with time stamps. We were able to capture everything within 2 rounds of edits due to Mike's attentiveness and help.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our staff was very pleased with the final product and feel that we can effectively use it on a variety of platforms. We were impressed with how Hotbed was able to create a video that was evergreen enough for us to be able to use it for potentially years. That was important to us because we are a small nonprofit with limited funds for this kind of project. Due to the increased need for high quality videos in this modern digital age, this video is crucial to our ability to explain our work in a clear way to a variety of people and stakeholders.

The Executive Producer we worked with was a very clear communicator and was easy to get in touch with. We appreciated his straight-forward style. We also greatly appreciated his flexibility when it came to meeting our tight deadline. Mike used Vimeo to capture our edits. Otherwise, we communicated via email which was very effective for us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I found their straightforwardness to be impressive. We are a small team that works very quickly, and it was helpful for us to have someone who understood our needs and was able to translate that into the video we needed without a significant amount of back and forth.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't have any areas for improvement. The Hotbed team was great to work with. We would highly recommend them.

I am on the founder & creator of Relentless Leadership

For what projects/services did your company hire Hotbed Media, and what were your goals?

I had developed content for individuals and teams to leverage in their efforts to coalesce around their unique idea of leadership within their organization. I wanted to offer this as a stand-alone class so needed to have videos to accompany each lesson as well as a content and sales video.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I actually knew the folks at Hotbed and referred them to others in the past. Knowing the quality of their work, I did not even get other proposals because I had a high degree of confidence that having Hotbed be my partner in this project would alleviate my need to worry about the videos and just focus on the content.

I was essentially frictionless. I shared my overall objective and then relied on the team at Hotbed to guide me as to the best way to accomplish my objective in regards to video production.

They not only brough their expertise to the project but also worked directly with my course creator consultant which was tremendously beneficial to me. They all knew the lingo, and I did not so it was a very effective and efficient process. All I needed to do was answer some questions at the beginning and then show up ready to perform when we shot the videos.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Mike, Brad, and their entire team throughout the process. The feedback was awesome and it was seamless no matter who I spoke to at Hotbed because they all knew exactly what was going on. They are all very responsive and I experienced absolutely no hiccups. They were quick to edit and delivered the final products several days before the original delivery date that was processed. They also made additional edits and understood exactly what I was trying to achieve from a brand standpoint.

All of my videos are complete and equal to/greater quality than I expected. I could not have planned for it all to work any better than it did.

Detailed, timely, and responsive. I was given a budget and project timeline and both were followed to the letter. We communicated very effectively via email, zoom, and Google Drive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Simple. Their expertise, quality of their work, and how frictionless the project was executed. I had no idea what to expect but can tell you it went far easier than I have ever expected.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Absolutely not!

The videos needed to be 90 seconds and fit to our budget. We provided the script and they did the animations and video production.

Hotbet has a good price point. They do amazing work.

We provided the video script and storyboard and voice over, and then did the video production, design, etc. The process was amazing, and fast. The work was also amazing.

To be able to have amazing work product to provide to our client, in a timeframe that was super fast, was a win for me, and for our company. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback on each video we asked Hotbed to do. I call them the video magicians.
