I am the founder and CEO of Dealer Reserve. We offer financial information to automotive dealerships to maximize profits and save managers time in the process.

For what projects/services did your company hire Hilo Labs, and what were your goals?

We hired Hilo to develop for the custom software from start to finish and we are still using them for ongoing support and development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were referred to us from the Ryerson DMZ start-up incubator program.

They designed and developed all front-end, back-end and anyalytics used for the software. Their specialty in data collection will be a big asset moving forward.

I deal with two people. Matt is the owner and Connor is his employee.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch from concept to first customer in about 1.5 months which is unheard of. We quickly got to MVP status and continued building from there.

The thing I love about working with Hilo is they make suggestions as to how they think the product should evolve and consider for future investment/profitability. As an "automotive brain", sometimes I don't have all the answers from the tech side and having knowledgeable suggestions is great. Communication is done mostly via email, text, or phone.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They seem to be invested in my success. As mentioned before, they give great suggestions for future features. They added data collection at no charge because they knew it would be valuable. And most importantly, they get the job done right in a timely fashion.

A little more communication when it comes to the billing. Some months are shocking but we are working on that as we go. No major complaints.

Hilo Labs demonstrated exceptional adaptability to our internal processes governing project workflow in Jira and design procedures. Their rapid acclimation and ability to meet our expectations and needs are highly commendable.

Hilo Labs consistently exceeds our expectations in project management. Their ability to deliver consistently on schedule gives me great confidence in their capacity to complete the upcoming phases of the project. They were communicative, friendly, and easy to get along with, which was important to us. Additionally, they were very attentive, accommodating, and responsive to our processes.

Hilo Labs' Senior Engineer, Connor is an extraordinarily talented UX/UI designer, surpassing any designer I have ever worked with. His proficiency and creativity are outstanding. Connor brought our vision to life and made it 10X better. Hilo Labs has significantly enhanced our project's user experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Hilo Labs could have done differently?

It’s been a really positive experience so far. Hilo Labs is client focused, reliable and consistently exceed expectations.
