Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Jacob’s Ladder Construction partnered with HIBU for website management and updates, Google and display advertising, social media advertising, and ongoing marketing strategy and performance tracking. Key deliverables included website and ad content creation and optimization, an approval portal for reviewing and making changes, lead and website traffic tracking, monthly dashboard reviews, and ongoing recommendations and adjustments from our account manager, Dave, to keep our marketing aligned with current trends and business goals.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since partnering with HIBU, Jacob’s Ladder Construction has seen a measurable increase in leads, generating 739 leads year to date compared to 650 during the same period last year, an increase of nearly 14%. That is an increase of 89 leads, with no noticeable slowdown in lead volume. We have also gained better visibility into where our leads are coming from and how visitors interact with our website, allowing us to better track the performance of our marketing efforts.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

HIBU has provided strong project and account management throughout our partnership. Dave is consistent in following up with us, keeping us informed about our marketing performance, and making recommendations for ongoing improvements. The HIBU team also makes it easy to review and approve website and advertising updates, allowing us to stay involved while they handle the implementation. Overall, communication has been consistent, and our projects and ongoing marketing efforts have been managed in an organized and collaborative way.

What was your primary form of communication with Hibu?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

One of the things we appreciate most about working with HIBU is the flexibility they give us when it comes to our website. We can make changes ourselves when we want to or submit comments and requests for their team to handle. That flexibility allows us to still feel in control of our content while having a professional team available to make updates when needed. The approval portal also makes it easy to review and tweak the website and advertising content they create for us, whether we want to swap out a photo or adjust the wording. Dave has been great about making sure our needs are understood and helping us get the most out of the services HIBU provides.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Hibu could have done differently?

One area where HIBU could improve would be making it easier to add multiple photos or videos when submitting website comments or change requests. Being able to upload several files at once and clearly associate them with a specific requested change would make the process more efficient, especially when providing content for multiple website updates.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the general manager of Discount Garage & Exteriors, a construction company specializing in new construction and home improvement projects.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hibu?

We needed support rebuilding our website and creating digital ad campaigns.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hibu has built our website, which includes form fills and reviews. The team also hosts the site and creates search and social media ad campaigns.
Kathy (Account Manager) has helped with website creation and editing, educated me on SEO and search, assisted with Google re-verification, and stepped in as a teammate to work with support whenever needed. Hibu has a user-friendly dashboard with lots of data and analytics that allow us to monitor and change our approach in real time. We can also change our budget anytime based on our specific business needs.

What is the team composition?

We work with one teammate from Hibu.

How did you come to work with Hibu?

Hibu came to my office in 2018 and asked to quote rebuilding our website and creating digital ad campaigns. We chose them because their pricing fit our budget and offered good value for the cost.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Hibu in September 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our results depend on the market, but we've always been able to adjust as needed in terms of areas, keywords, and budget. Hibu's work is very customized to meet our business needs. The customer dashboard gives us access to real-time data. The reporting options allow us to compare our leads, areas, and locations on 30-, 60-, and 90-day comparisons. This option allows us to monitor closely and pick up on any slowdowns quickly.
We swapped companies and went with a smaller company that rebuilt our website and created new campaigns. Our leads dried up over a few months. After eight months, we returned to Hibu, and our leads have consistently increased every month since then. Keeping our content fresh and updated helps increase our traffic.

How did Hibu perform from a project management standpoint?

Hibu delivers on time. We've had struggles with our Google Business page becoming unverified, and Hibu's management has stepped in and worked directly with Google on our behalf. That feels like a call above and beyond the duty for me. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Kathy is top-tier and has been involved every step of the way since we started doing business with Hibu. She's great at staying in contact, checking our numbers, and having quarterly review meetings to discuss the details.
She makes real-life recommendations and doesn't just try to run up my bill so she can make money; she genuinely cares about the results I'm getting from the money we're spending. Moreover, she's always available, willing to help, and stays on top of our KPIs. She's friendly, flexible, and willing to educate us on this ever-evolving marketing world.
Additionally, Hibu does a great job of truly understanding the inner workings of building a proper website on the backend.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'd like to see the ability to customize the website a little more, but overall, I'm happy with everything.
