I'm an executive for a platform that provides sound-based relaxation therapy.

What challenge were you trying to address with Green Global?

When we started the company, our goal was to take advantage of the development of sound-based relaxation. ASMR clips and live sessions on YouTube and Twitch were a big part of this new trend. However, we wanted to go one step further and offer a live one-on-one session where a listener would use sound positive affirmation to relax. Therefore, we hired Green Global to provide us with mobile app development services and help us create our platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Green Global helped us conduct a customer discovery process to figure out if there was an actual need for our services in the market. Then, we started prototyping the app. Once the prototype was ready, their team developed both the front- and the backend, using React Native as the main development language and DigitalOcean for hosting.

The app is now available for iOs and Android devices. Currently, we work with Green Global under a maintenance contract, and they help us implement new features whenever needed.

What is the team composition?

Throughout the development process worked with five people from Green Global, including a project manager, a UI/UX designer, two backend engineers, and one frontend engineer. After they delivered the app, they provided us with two dedicated developers for some time to help us develop new features. However, we’ve switched our collaboration model, so we no longer have dedicated developers.

How did you come to work with Green Global?

Before finding Green Global, we had a clear idea of what we wanted, but finding a company to help us develop our idea wasn’t easy. A friend of mine had worked with them, so she told me to check them out because she had a good experience.

When I talked to Green Global, everything went well. They were very professional and flexible, and they understood what we wanted to achieve. After our initial meeting, we developed a scope of work that stayed within our budget, signed an NDA, and started the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent close to $30,000.

What is the status of the engagement?

We started working together in October 2021, and our partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m impressed and happy with Green Global’s work. Our app’s key features are working well, and we’ve had very few bug reports. Unfortunately, the app is not doing great because we didn’t understand the users’ needs very well, and we haven’t done a good job marketing-wise. Therefore, we’re still figuring out how to boost our numbers.

How did Green Global perform from a project management standpoint?

Green Global is very flexible. Initially, we weren’t clear about doing a beta version or not, so we added it to the scope later on. We’ve also switched our collaboration model, and we now use Waterfall development processes to define and develop new features. Their team does what it takes to build those features.

Initially, we set important milestones and deadlines, and Green Global has met every single one. From the start, we estimated that the development process would last between 6–8 months, and they delivered the product in six. As for collaboration tools, we use Excel and Trello to manage the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Green Global’s responsiveness is amazing. They’re always willing to jump on a problem to fix it, making my work much easier and more comfortable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing Green Global could improve on; they’re great with everything.

Any advice for potential customers?

Ensure to tailor the project's scope so that you have a clear idea of what deliverables to expect; communication is much easier if both the development team and the client have clear expectations. Additionally, define your budget and be open to Green Global about it.

We knew that it was an easy to work with professional company with a good reputation. The price was right.

We set out what we needed, received a well delivered response. Discussed and resolved the issues. Global Green deliverable was to transfer a large set of information, 5000 files, from a Dreamweaver based site to a new WordPress platform comprising a fixed page knowledge base backed by an interactive blog type posting frame. 4 month time frame.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The new platform has served its purpose. The viewer feedback is good and it us a lot easier for us non professionals to manage and update

Excellent, open, and communicative team Used Slack as the communication, discussion and transfer platform. Always quick and positive response.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Professional, fast, good communications, and skillful. The company did a gòod job in debugging once the site was launched.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If there were failings. The fault was on our side and due to our lack of understanding of the process. Their team was very patient
