They’ve met all of our deadlines and are very cost-effective. For communication, we interact with them regularly via Slack. For managing tasks, we use Jira.

I’m the president and owner of Lead Orchard, a lead generation services company. We provide sales leads to the commercial insurance industry in the US.

What challenge were you trying to address with Golden Eagle It technologies?

Our company works basically as a call center. Back in 2015, we had around 25 employees. Using third-party services, we were spending hundreds of dollars per employee on the software we needed to run our business. Additionally, we had over 100 clients, and we were paying around $35 per month for each client.

We realized that the expenses for our third-party system were very high, so we started looking for a company that could develop and customize our own versions of the software tools we needed. Thus, we reached out to Golden Eagle to help us out.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Golden Eagle has helped us develop our own CRM system from scratch, as well as an entire software environment system. Initially, we showed them the existing software systems that we were using, and they created some sketches and wireframes to show us how they would replicate those systems to the proportions we needed.

Once I gave Golden Eagle my approval on the designs, they started the development process, using Python and Django as the main technologies. We launched our new software back in 2016 and have been using it since. To this day, Golden Eagle provides us with maintenance services.

We’re a virtual call center, so all of our employees work remotely. Thus, one of our software system’s core features is the dialing system. Additionally, we’re able to track our employees’ activity through our system, including the times when they’re idle and when they’re active.

We can also see the calls that our employees have made, the duration of those calls, and the results of their activity. Moreover, our system helps us with our payments. We pay our employees based on performance, so we can track their performance and pay them accordingly.

We’ve worked with four people from Golden Eagle, including Chandan (Co-Founder), a backend developer, and a full stack developer.

We reached out and talked with a lot of companies, and we ultimately landed on Golden Eagle. However, I don’t know how we originally found them.

We’ve spent over $60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around 2016, and our engagement is ongoing. It took Golden Eagle around six months to deliver the solution.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The software system that Golden Eagle has developed for us does what our third-party system did and has some enhancements specific to our needs. Thus, our main success result has been our savings. We’ve saved over $35,000 per year by having our own software and getting off of the third-party one.

Additionally, this system has helped us improve our processes because it is customized to our needs. Third-party systems are built for mass users, so they have a lot of general tools that each user needs to manipulate in order to do what they need them to do. Now, we don’t have to manipulate our system; we simply use the tools Golden Eagle has built for us.

How did Golden Eagle It technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Golden Eagle’s project management has been perfect. Originally, we divided the development project into two-week sprints, defining deliverables for each sprint. Throughout that process, they constantly communicated with us.

Even to this day, we communicate on a weekly basis with Golden Eagle. I even talk with Chandan every other week to check-in. As for collaboration tools, we’ve used Slack, Skype, and Trello, although it has been a while since we used Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about working with Golden Eagle is that they’ve delivered what they promised. Although it might sound simple, it’s very hard to find companies that deliver on their promises. Additionally, Golden Eagle always reaches out to me, so I don’t need to chase them, which is great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing Golden Eagle could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Hire them! They’re a great group of people and do a great job.

I’m the technical project lead for a vineyard management system. There are a lot of wine vineyards in Spain and the US, and we’ve created software that performs all the validations required in the vineyard.

What challenge were you trying to address with Golden Eagle It technologies?

We had in-house developers, but our developers left due to a market crunch. Therefore, we were looking for urgent staff augmentation support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Golden Eagle provided us with two developers to work on our software: a React developer and a Python developer. Our software allows us to manage the workers and has vineyard trackability features as well.

The vineyard workers have all the blocks assigned, so they can use our software to capture images of the trees in their blocks. After capturing the images, the application can determine if there is any issue with the leaves or the tree, as well as calculate the age of the tree.

Every vineyard has sensors, such as motion sensors and others. Our system reads the data from the sensors and provides this information to the vineyard manager. For example, if there is a particular area that needs more water or other chemicals, the sensors can predict that. We also capture images via satellite with our software.

We worked with two developers from Golden Eagle.

How did you come to work with Golden Eagle It technologies?

I initially found them on Upwork. We first hired the Python developer through Upwork, and following that, we started working with the React developer.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent around $88,000 in total. Their fee was around $8,000 per month for two developers.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2022, and the contract just finished in February 2023 because we had a lessened workload.

The engagement was very useful for our company. Golden Eagle’s developers were able to come in and provide support when we needed it. Whenever I wanted to implement something new, the developers were able to deliver.

How did Golden Eagle It technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We were in different time zones, as Golden Eagle was in India, and I was in Spain for most of the project, so project management was a bit of a challenge. Aside from that issue, everything was fine. The developers delivered all the sprints and tasks we assigned to them on time. As for collaboration tools, we communicated via Slack and used Jira as the ticket management system — all the tasks were assigned through Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Golden Eagle provided us with very good developers who were able to achieve everything we needed. They were very intelligent and highly skilled.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Golden Eagle provided multiple time zone support. Additionally, their account manager wasn’t always available, which could have been improved. For example, I was looking for one more developer in the summer, but the account manager didn’t respond for days, so I hired another developer elsewhere. If a teammate from Golden Eagle is going on vacation or a leave, they need to assign someone else. When it comes to their developers, there are no improvements I can suggest.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you want to hire developers from their team, ensure to hire full resources with 4–5 years of experience. I interviewed people with different levels of experience, but the two that I hired had 4–5 years of experience and had full stack development capabilities.

Additionally, we have weekly meetings, and their different team members are always in those meetings when needed. Overall, they’ve done a great job.
