I wanted to created the first meditation wellness app for my company and had zero experience in the subject so I needed a great team nit only to program it but also advice on great solutions. And also have patience with my zero knowledge.

The project was built from scratch. Getyoteam did the research and send me a detailed plan with deadlines and milestones. It was ready in 4 months plus 2 months of testing. From there one we had build a great cooperation and we were improving the app continuously.

I was assigned to the project manager which was always there for me answering every question and advising me on the solutions. I had my own designed which I used as I trust her a lot. And the rest of the Getyoteam was divided in android and iOS team.

Our app is No1 in Google Play Store in the Wellness category. It has been a huge successful and I couldn’t believe it in the beginning that I started with zero experience.

I believe the design department may need some improvement but I was using my designer that knew my style and aesthetics so I am not 100% certain in that.

We created an iOS app. It featured 10 audio tracks, multiple in-app purchases, animated features, and integration with the Facebook SDK.

We needed to produce a commercially successful health app.

I provided a specifications document, including wireframes, to seven developers. I shortlisted two developers based on their expertise, app development experience, and client ratings. I explored their suitability by asking about build details and cost breakdowns.

I chose getyoteam because of their superior understanding of iOS app development, their excellent English, and their straightforward, professional communication. Most importantly, I felt that I could trust them.

I worked closely with getyoteam on a detailed project brief, a design brief, and wireframes. They set up clear, logical milestones and quickly created more than 15 icons and 20 screens.

They tweaked the designs, animations, and development interations until I was happy. Then they added audio and playback functionalities, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host the sound files.

They set up and tested the in-app purchases, delivering each new version so I could test them myself. They added the Facebook SDK and integrated it with my Facebook advertising account. Finally, they created certificates and added the product to the App Store, where it was approved within 12 hours.

My project manager was available at all times. I also worked with a designer and two developers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within four days of launch, the app reached the Top 10 search results for my category without any additional marketing. Its downloads doubled each day during that period.

They worked quickly and professionally. Our workflow was excellent throughout the whole project. They communicated well and provided updates each day. We used Slack, which was a fantastic tool. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

getyoteam was always friendly and professional. No request was a problem, even if it sat outside my original brief. They worked hard, even on weekends, to deliver my app on budget, on time, and exactly to my specifications. They patiently supported and advised me in areas I didn't completely understand.

We needed a competent developer to overhaul, port features from our Android/ChromeOS App and add new features to our iOS/macOS version of the Sprocket App.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were able to connect with GetYoTeam through an online developer marketplace. They had great ratings, many good example projects and were able to competently talk about what they implemented and how. Overall they stood out head and shoulders above the rest in quality of work previously provided to others and were able to point to it in the Apple App Store.

Our iOS/macOS app is implemented in Swift. It was relatively straightforward to connect GetYoTeam into our Slack/Asana/Figma production pipeline. They were able to relatively quickly fix the build that wasnt working from the prior developer and orient themselves as to the particulars of the ongoing work overall.

We currently use one Swift developer from GetYoTeam - although its nice to know that GetYoTeam can easily scale up to more or back down to 1, even outside iOS/macOS development work as our need arises :)

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our neglected and somewhat broken client was fixed within relatively short order by GetYoTeam. They even managed to fix many challenging custom features that have been broken for years prior! We were also able to achieve feature parity with our Android/ChromeOS client which was like 10X ahead at that point.

The impressive outcome of this work is that we now generate more sales from our iOS/macOS client + the negative reviews about app quality have stopped entirely - and tend to be about feature requests at this point

The company owner and Swift developer are both available in Slack/Asana/Figma and respond fairly 'swiftly'. They also attend our Monday video sync every week. In general they do quality work fairly quickly - sometimes getting it so fast they get ahead of designs being created for them to build haha

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Easily one of the best contractors i've worked with on my app in 8 years of the project. Even more impressively that its a company and not an individual freelancer. You can feel comfortable knowing that they are able to implement basically whatever youre able to think up or design. Its always a "Yes we can!" attitude with GetYoTeam

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Once or twice they may have over-engineered something because they assumed it needed to be at a higher standard of quality/performance than requested. And this is not a big deal as were sure our riders appreciate the extra polish nevertheless!

The project team was easy to communicate with (despite a large time difference) via messaging platforms and zoom, some deadlines were met, while others were missed. However, I understand that app development is a process and am happy with the outcome of my app. I prefer a missed deadline, over errors in the code.

We have our internal testing group of around 100 users. All of them have used the application and they had minor feedback about the features, bugs etc and based on that we had improved the application. All of them have praised the user experience and uniqueness of the application.

However, we have yet to launch or market this application for the general public , the application is there on the app/play store but we are in the process of marketing the app. We are working on the website and some products and once we are done with that, we will be launching this to the public. I am sure, this will do a great job. Deliverables were prompt and with the top most quality.

-They had followed Agile methodology for my project. We have used Zoom, Upwork and Slack as a communication tools - Project manager (Kumar) was easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates of the project, always respond right back to me when I had a question. Everything was smooth throughout the app development.

I had another developer help develop my app and nothing worked correctly, I lost a lot of money, informed Kumar about it, he then came in and redeveloped my app to a very new version. Their skills of mobile app development blew me away, they knew everything about UI/UX and Execution. They were willing to walk us through the entire process of the app development and we learn a lot from them. They were really fast in replying back and their communication was excellent.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can’t figure out anything they could have done differently, or areas of improvement at this time. Overall they did a fantastic job.
