Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a content, short film and music video producer at Two Forty Four - we're a South London based production company with clients including Nike, ASOS, Dazed, YouTube Music, Stone Island, and Adidas, and agency collaborations with world leaders such as Havas. I produce work within Two Forty Four and externally - I've worked within film and media for four years, including working for major studios including Lionsgate. I've produced and Assistant directed for Geronimo Boy Film projects in the past, including working closely with project director Josh Trigg.

For what projects/services did your company hire Geronimo Boy Film?

I've brought on directors from Geronimo Boy Film, most notably Josh Trigg for work with music clients and commercial clients - the biggest project being a commercial for Toyota's Symphony Orchestra.

What were your goals for this project?

We were commissioned to create compelling coverage and interview content for Toyota's Symphony Orchestra, including key messaging to align with Toyota's KPIs including sales lead generation and brand expansion.

I had heard excellent things about Josh and his Geronimo Boy Film company from big production companies including Great Guns and Caviar. After multiple recommendations, I met Josh at an industry awards event in Cannes and we got speaking about projects.

Geronimo Boy Film provided A-B creative and execution on an ambitious range of music videos and commercial projects. Their innovative approach to talent networking and crew building brought us in under budget and allowed us to provide premium results in a timely and professional manner. The way the collective works has allowed me to access talent and collaborators in a frictionless and organic manner.

I've worked closely and frequently with the MD of Geronimo Boy Film, Josh Trigg and a number of his agency creatives and contributors. They're a diverse, passionate and highly professional team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Toyota came back to us wanting to work with Geronimo Boy Films specifically. Bands including new rock group Punt Guns also requested further work with the GBF firm. Our projects with them have been extremely well received. Their partnership work with brand partners launching a film festival at Cannes Lions was a huge success also, and I am very happy with my involvement as an ambassador and consultent.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Frictionless and easy. Communication is quick and considered, all problems that arose during production for our client we're quickly solved and mitigated by Josh and the tight team at Geronimo Boy Films.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I'm impressed by their original and bold approach to creative work and their cost saving ability which is unseen in our industry, and the reliable comms and operations ensuring high client satisfaction and requests for future work.

Not as far as I can see!

I’m an advertising copywriter at a creative agency called Dentsu.

For what projects/services did your company hire Geronimo Boy Film?

We engaged him mainly to produce a film documenting a tour of Southeast Asia with the London Chamber Orchestra.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to capture highlights of the tour for our clients’ internal use, and possibly to promote the tour in the future on their social media channels.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We were recommended this vendor by some of our colleagues who had worked with him in the past. Also, because we first needed to create some image and video assets to promote the tour in May 2019, we preferred engaging a photographer/director who was already based in London. When the tour kicked off in October, we decided to engage Josh once more because of:

1. his familiarity with the orchestra
2. the passion and enthusiasm for the project he showed us when we first met him in London
3. his adaptability, and
4. his ability to communicate and work well with people of different cultures.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

This project is different from other creative projects in general because everything evolves around an on-ground event, which sits outside of our control. The entire tour took months of planning and Josh worked closely with us (the creative team from the main agency), the team from the events agency (which was in charge of the orchestra’s schedules in Southeast Asia), our clients, and our local partners (including crew and our clients’ charity partners) to ensure that we could capture the footage we needed.

The final product from the tour consisted of two films, one that covered the events in Cambodia, and another that summarised the entire tour across five cities.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Josh worked mainly with us, together with a sound engineer and his DOP. We produced the scripts based on what we knew would happen on-ground before sharing them with Josh, but we also let him know that things could change vastly on the actual day given our past experiences with this tour.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Not really, the films have not gone live publicly at this time. However, we did receive overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients on the visuals and stories captured.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The whole process was pretty open and collaborative. Although we worked off scripts, Josh and his team had some input on how to make things better and were very open and receptive to last-minute changes and feedback.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by the team’s professionalism and their patience and understanding. This tour can be pretty demanding, especially when you’re dealing with people who have very different ways of working, and don’t even speak the same language. But through it all, Josh and his team demonstrated a great deal of resilience and genuine passion for this project, day in and day out.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We were satisfied with the entire process as well as the end product, so no.

I am a games artist at King which is one of the top mobile gaming companies in the world. Candy Crush is our most successful franchise amongst others such as Bubble Witch and Farm Heroes. We invariably need quality marketing and advertising for these huge titles.

We gave a brief to our in house advertising team and they reached out. We met the team amongst other teams and asked them to prepare treatments. We then went into pre production where we fine tuned the idea and Geronimo Boy Film provided locations, cast etc. We then went into the filming days and then editing and retouching.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They came up with a schedule that fit into our calendar. We then fed back amends until we were completed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I'm not sure on the exact numbers of the campaign but we make sure to only work with companies who can deliver quality results.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Easy to work with and have contacts globally for outsourcing work loads.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their creative drive and passion for what they do are impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They also have a film festival. I wish they had a commercial version of the festival.

We regularly work with Josh and his brilliant team on video production projects - we wouldn't work with anyone else!

Josh handled the entire process with the utmost care and attention to detail, as he always does. From storyboarding to editing, he makes the process exciting and fun. His passion for what he does is contagious. We collaborated on the storyboarding and copywriting, creating a narrative that told the brand's story in a new and compelling way.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We had full oversight of the whole process from start to finish. Josh provided regular updates, stayed well within budget and was highly communicative. We had two rounds of feedback and edits which resulted in the perfect finished film.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The resulting film has become the client's campaign hero piece for 2020. It's had 46% more views on social media than other films of this type that they've created with third parties, 33% more engagement and a 24% more click throughs from the content to their website and store.

Seamless - we set up shared lines of communication and knew we could contact Josh at any time. Nothing was ever too much.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their enthusiasm for what they do. Working with their team is like a breath of fresh air. They invigorated us and I feel, made the project even more stellar because of it.

Geronimo Boy film came highly recommended to people from the industry, as well as the brand which project we were leading.

The video was a high end studio product film. They handled the entire production from reworking the script and producing a treatment for us to present to our client, to the production and post-production were the final films and stills were delivered.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They scheduled out the entire process from pre-production to post-production and we were given allotted feedback sessions and were able to collaborate with Geronimo Boy Film to archive the desired outcome. Throughout the process of working with them, we were communicating on a daily basis in order to have as much transparency throughout this project.

Our clients were really happy with the final film and the feedback of the brands community was very positive and showed great success, as it met the brief.our

They were super accommodating to our schedule and really easy to work with. They showed a lot to passion and care to the project and everyone got on really well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were particularly impressed by the quality of production and the talent of the individual film makers. They showed a lot of knowledge and experience and came up with original ideas to make the project a success.

There wasn't anything to complain about, they were very attentive in every step of the way and always had the most positive outlook on the project, which reflected back on the outcome.

How did you select this vendor?

It was a reference from a bigger brand that I used to work at.

We started with some ideas and they were able to take the ideas, restructure it to improve the stories and produce a lovely treatment. From there we went through casting, locations etc together. On the shoot days we were fed very well and the team were all very professional and fun. The edit process took 2 weeks as agreed and the final step was a colour grade which we we invited to .

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They outlined from the beginning a pre and post production schedule, along with a small wrap party. Feedback during editing was a hands on approach of coming in for a few big sessions then a final tweaking round or two. online edit was done remotely.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results are some films we are incredibly happy with. Actually better than we would have imagined. I get the sense they are a newish company looking to impress, and that they did.

They are very easy to work with. Very collaborative.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It was impressive how good the director was with the creative process, it was fascinating to watch.

For the size of our company they were perfect and attentive.

Cherry Advertising is a full service creative agency in the health and wellbeing sector. While at Cherry Advertising, I served as a Creative Copywriter who was overseeing the production of a piece of film work.

For what projects/services did your company hire Geronimo Boy Film, and what were your goals?

We were lucky enough to receive a brief to create a piece of video content with the goal of "making our audience cry" – given Geronimo's history of making heartwarming, emotive and thought provoking work, they were a perfect fit for the task at hand.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The agency portfolio, talent and the precedent of quality set by the founder Josh Trigg, who has excelled in film direction for 15+ years.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

The project required a flexible approach with a short timeframe to achieve excellence. Geronimo were willing to think creatively to achieve high quality results with a budget that would see other production agencies deliver averagely. From start to finish, they were involved in all aspects of the project and willing to address and overcome curve balls as they arose. This reactive approach resulted in the delivery of a piece of work that set a new bar for emotive creative work in advertising.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with the entire team at Geronimo and they roped in additional talent from their extensive network to add additional value to the project. Feedback was actioned in time and with minimal feedback rounds from our end.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As this piece of work was for a product which has not launched, I cannot comment on the impact on sales figures. However, the piece was lauded internally and achieved the goals we set out in the original brief which resulted in a moving and emotive piece of work.

Geronimo Boy Film prefer a personal approach to film and loop their clients in at every step. A continual dialogue was maintained throughout the process which gave the agency and client peace of mind.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I find their passion and commitment to quality to be a particularly unique and commendable quality. Not only do these guys turn water into wine, they also do it with a smile on their face.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Splitting hairs really. Slightly better organisation when it came to the organisation of VoiceOver recordings, however this was in part due to pandemic restrictions.
