Geopits Global Private Limited

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the deputy vice president of 360tf Group, a Singapore-based trade finance platform that digitizes and streamlines access to trade finance for corporates and financial institutions worldwide, enabling secure, efficient, and scalable global trade through advanced technology and specialized solutions.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenges were you trying to address with Geopits Global Private Limited?

We needed support to manage the databases behind our trade finance platform. Our goals were to keep the databases stable and secure, improve query performance, and have reliable DBA expertise available so our in-house team could focus on product development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Geopits Global Private Limited handles database administration for our platform. Their work covers setting up monitoring and alerts, performance tuning and query optimization, backup and recovery checks, security hardening, and day-to-day support for database issues raised by our team. The team works on our PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS, covering configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and backups within that environment.

What was the team composition?

We don’t know how many teammates from Geopits Global Private Limited are assigned to our project.

How did you come to work with Geopits Global Private Limited?

We found them through an online search. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, good value for cost, and company values aligned with ours.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since Geopits Global Private Limited took over our database management, our PostgreSQL environment has been stable and reliable, with issues caught early through monitoring and resolved quickly. Query performance has improved, and our engineering team spends far less time on database firefighting, so we can focus on building the platform.

We haven’t tracked formal metrics we can share, but the clearest sign of success is that database-related incidents have become rare and are handled promptly when they occur. Slow queries flagged by our team have also been optimized.

How did Geopits Global Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

Geopits Global Private Limited’s project management has been good. They’re organized, keep us updated on what they’re working on, and have consistently delivered on time. Communication over calls and messaging is responsive, which matters a lot for ongoing support work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their depth of PostgreSQL expertise combined with how proactive they are. They don’t just react to tickets; they spot potential problems and suggest improvements before they affect us. For a team our size, they offer excellent value for the cost.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing major. If anything, more regular written summaries of the work done and recommendations would make it even easier for us to track progress over time.
