With Genixbit, we developed and implemented general features, enhancements and did lots of bug fixing and quality assurance. They were more focused on improving the core functionality of the platform rather than adding new features. Lots of enhancements, bug fixes and small iterations. We used a modified Agile development methodology with weekly scrums and daily pushes.

We’re happy with their work. Our main metrics of measurability was the timing of different API calls rather than user engagement. We scrutinized each API call to make sure it was optimal. Overall they met most of our performance expectations.

No issues from a project management perspective. We anticipated some communication delay and went into it with our eyes open. They extended their hours each day to ensure some overlap. They gave us a project manager who seemed to work full time, if not three quarters of the time, without additional billing. We’ve used many contractors over the years for different projects and Genixbit was very responsive.

They integrated seamlessly into our platform, used our technologies, systems for time tracking and bug tracking. They used Asana as our project management tool.

Genixbit provided good communication with weekly calls and daily updates, using our platforms, systems and trackers. They fully integrated with our systems, which is the goal for any team and we achieved it with them.

I think we’ll always do better with in-house employees because communication would be better. But for an outsourcing team augmenting ours for a sprint like that, it was a great relationship.

We had some in-house developers and developers in another country, but the company needed to speed up development. We also wanted someone with more experience to reduce our technical debt and make the code better and easier to maintain. We brought in one developer from Genixbit for each part of our stack. They worked on Android and iOS native, another on Angular and another on Python and Django.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

From the start the iOS developer did great work on the iOS platform which was the most broken. We halved the number of user reports in the first few months. Overall we reduced complexity and bugs in the system. We simplified a lot of the backend code and Genixbit team became the platform leads, taking over the release schedule and handling all releases and incoming bug support across all platforms.

They did great. Each developer had excellent communication skills and could talk to all the other teams on Slack which was a big issue for us before. Unlike many external developers who only contact specific people, Genixbit team could talk to whoever they needed. They also adapted to our Jira platform so we could track progress.

The project manager was super helpful. We didn’t expect to have one but he came with the team. His experience showed as he facilitated and organized meetings whenever needed. Genixbit designed and built our site which has three dashboards. One for doctors to log in and interpret results, one for customers to view results and an e-commerce platform built with Django to order products. The site is live and we’re focusing on site improvements now.

We’re very happy with them. We’ve just gone live and don’t have metrics yet but initial feedback is positive. Everyone likes the site so far and we’re happy with both design and tech.

The project started with a three-week discovery phase where they defined the scope of work. Then they did the wireframing and helped us design the user journeys and UI. Their team is building the backend architecture which they will hand over to us and are currently working on the frontend.

Working with Genixbit has been smooth and easy. Projects can have some tension at the beginning but they’ve been excellent at managing stakeholders, clients and expectations. So far the deliverables have been great.

We use Jira and Confluence for project management and daily remote scrum meetings. They follow an Agile methodology so they are flexible and adaptable. Even when we had to change the scope the conversations were easy.

Genixbit built our web platform, which works on all browsers. They created an admin page and control panel for our clients. We or the client can create virtual queues and generate QR codes for them. By placing these codes in public areas, people can join the queue virtually instead of physically waiting in line. 
There's also a user-friendly interface for the person managing the queue. Instead of manually ensuring social distancing, they can just press a button on the interface to call the next person in line. The front end is built using AJAX, and the backend is hosted on AWS and built with Django.

We loved their approach. They were flexible and accommodated our schedule. The account manager was great, always engaging and understood our needs. He quickly assembled the right team and got the project rolling. They maintained a consistent pace and delivered what we expected.

We had some issues with our initial project manager and had to change. The new project manager was excellent. Overall project management was 4/5.

Genixbit delivers on their promises, makes great suggestions and always hits the mark. The team is awesome and very professional. They are clear, concise and communicative; I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Our  project is on hold as our client decided to put it on hold. We worked on that site with a brand new build so there is no previous data to compare.

Genixbit uses Redmine tool and managed the process well. If a task is taking too long they let us know. Their Senior HR  is great at his job. Our initial WordPress developer left the company and he found a replacement and had me interview the new candidate. After I brought the new resource up to speed the new resource has been just as good as the original.

Genixbit's commitment to their projects and attention to detail is rare in the development community. We have more external developers than internal resources. Genixbit developed the my Food Traffic Lights app for us for iOS and Android. They did the development here in Switzerland and helped us to realize our idea. The app is a traffic light system for food and drinks. It’s a very simple app. Users can hold it next to the nutrition facts of the foods they buy to see if the amount of nutrients in the food is good for them. The app calculates the nutrients, calories and recommended amounts automatically. Although the app looks simple it’s very complex because of the calculations. The main challenge for them was to implement the formulas and calculations without any errors. They managed to do that. It was a hybrid development for both iOS and Android. They designed the UI and UX. We mainly designed the look and feel of the app internally but they gave us a lot of input, showed us what’s possible and made suggestions for realizing certain ideas.

I didn’t get any crash reports from Apple or Google Statistics. It’s a good app and runs without any issues on both iOS and Android. There were some errors during development but nothing out of the ordinary and they were fixed. We now have a very stable and nice looking app. Genixbit did a great job and was always responsive to our input and ideas.

Whenever I needed to get in touch, they were always available and totally got what we needed every time. We used a mix of video calls, phone calls, and chat to stay in touch, which made the whole collaboration process smooth and efficient.

They will build a landing page that matches our design. They are 100% responsible for coding the website.

The data engineering team builds and maintains our main data pipelines and infrastructures. They focus on how to get data to the cloud and how to process that data. These data pipelines will enable us to use AI to power our business. Genixbit’s mobile app and web app development teams have built mobile and web apps that integrate with our core robotics system. They’ve also built a separate iOS mobile app as part of a side project.

We don’t have any metrics but despite initial concerns about outsourcing the work from our internal engineers, Genixbit has delivered great work. If there are any crashes or bugs, Genixbit’s team makes them a high priority and fixes them fast.

It’s impressive that Genixbit has met all our deadlines, especially since we’ve set one month deadlines. They set clear expectations and timelines — they’ll push back if our timelines are impossible to achieve and work with us to set realistic timelines. Genixbit is very collaborative and proactively communicates what to expect from their team. Their team is available 24/7 via phone calls, email and Slack. We use Jira and GitLab to track the project and share information so everyone is on the same page.
