With AutoAssess, each survey response triggers an instant, branded and customised response and an intelligently composed email to highlight the results. The automation of traditional rental services results in optimized workflow and digital, user-focused approach.

Additionally, this means less traffic congestion and more available parking spots in urban areas in total. Unlike traditional car rentals, this iOS and Android car-sharing apps offer self-service.

I’m working within the Company since the year 2000 and helped to digitize the processes. I’m sharing the part of project lead in this huge project. CeleroOne® is an out-of-the-box SaaS application which delivers the ideal tools for targeted human resource planning, resource steering, and performance review of your field service organization from day one.

Celero Cloud hired Gauss so that, together, we upgrade and define our starting concepts and specifications and provide technical development to create a replacement of our current product.

This has resulted in a highly effective, technical, state-of-art, big-data SaaS business platform that offers full support to plan, steer, track and control workforce management on a global scale. This product has the highest enterprise standards concerning security, performance, and added value to our clients.

Pre-release pilot clients are absolute premier global leaders in various fields of industry. Our final aim is to change the paradigm of how the services can be provided for clients on a global scale.

Gauss has previously worked for us on a technically demanding top performance analytics solution based on big data. We recognized that this was not a single project of this scale that they have been working on.

Based on our collaboration experience with them, we saw that they have both business and technical know-how to take them on as a partner for this scale project.

At the time of writing, the project is in the pre-release phase, and therefore I cannot go into details. As mentioned before, the first phase of the project resulted in an ongoing, scalable solution that will allow companies and organizations to plan, steer, analyze and deliver any kind of service for themselves or their clients no matter the industry type or size.

The solution is SaaS-based and consists of web, Android, and iOS applications that complement each other. Some of the technologies used are Node.js, Nuxt.js, Postgress, Redis, Mongo, Java, Swift, and others.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The team adapts according to the needs of the project. The Gauss team is about 4-5 backend developers, a system architect, 2-5 frontend developers, a designer, two mobile developers ( iOS and Android ), lead manager, project manager, sales and marketing manager that collaborate with our team.

Gauss QA team varied from 2-3 team members distributed between automated and manual testing.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our test clients are clients that are clients that were using our previous product. The feedback we receive is that the new solution is much more versatile and improved.

Our managers have as well collaborated with Gauss on business logic and process optimization with their business experts. Gauss themselves does the development. System architecture and QA is a collaboration between our teams.

We based management style approach on agile / scrum and user stories with standard weekly calls and optimization cycles. We use Gauss' own collaboration tool in addition to standard Video-Sessions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Gauss team gives “all-in“ engagement. We find them as partners and not a contractor. They actively contribute to different case scenarios, technical approaches to system requirements using enterprise standards to approach the challenges both development and of business process nature.

They are friendly and helpful but are also rigorous to performance and delivery, whether our or Gauss personnel. We are glad to have this level of understanding of the project's importance.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In this grand-scale project, it would always be our wish to avoid any close to milestone deadlines. However, we understand that on this scale and complexity, this is sometimes unavoidable.

We are satisfied that these were few. Few minor delays were a day or two and never on critical deadlines. This project's logistics and organization are highest in complexity and expectations, and we must say that Gauss is up to the task.

It also allows sharing between the instances as well as provides advanced analytics. We also have a separate instance control system allowing us to track, control, and create new instances of the solutions for our franchisees. Technologies used were Node.js and Angular.

Depending on the project phases, the number varied. However, in most cases, the Gauss team consisted of a designer, a front-end developer, two backend developers, and a project manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The deliverables were on time. We are very satisfied with the quality of the delivered work. The platform allowed us to successfully integrate our business processes into one solution and has saved us considerable time, effort and expenses in our day to day work.

The Gauss team use an agile methodology to make changes to the initial idea and concepts as the project progressed. Communication was easy with whatever channels best suited the need, either in person or remotely via their collaborative tool. All main points are always documented and shared with all relevant participants.

I must say that I was impressed with the straightforward, friendly, and open approach that, in the end, resulted in something that helps us in our daily activities, and allows us to scale internationally. They quickly adapted to any changes and suggested alternate solutions if they found them more efficient.

We are satisfied with the whole process, and at this moment, there is nothing that, from my point of view, I would change. We plan to continue our collaboration in the future in this manner.

ReportGorilla is a niche feedback and assessment service provider that creates bespoke and fully automated on-demand reporting solutions from data collected by major survey platforms like SurveyMonkey and Typeform. I'm the CEO.

Gauss Development provided development and support for the infrastructure of our ReportGorilla Project. The solution evolved over time with joint contributions from Gauss and our team. We worked as true partners and it was a great benefit to have their input in the design.

Our initial goal was to get an initial solution off the ground. We ended up with a comprehensive reporting platform, with many parts and capabilities that enabled us to evolve our market offering from survey reporting to bespoke automated assessments and automated consulting. This was enabled by good modular design and the continuity Gauss Development could offer.

SOLUTION

How did you select Gauss Development and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred to Gauss Development by a graphics designer for small integration requirement to test the capability of SurveyMonkey's recently released API, to determine if it met our requirements. The Gauss response was very fast and competent and that impressed us.

When we were looking at our next major project, we did not hesitate to ask them if we could work together on it. Over the duration of the project, Gauss provided the core front end solution, the ecommerce back end, API integrations with external data providers as well as with our bespoke internal reporting capabilities.

The solution also included integrations with blog platforms and payment service providers, multi-current and tax solutions, load distribution and transaction scheduling and well as hosting and migration support.

Reliable and stable service platform catering to a global, multicurrency user base. ReportGorilla now is an officially endorsed integration of SurveyMonkey and Typeform and provider of unique Automated Assessment solutions delivered via the platform that Gauss Development helped us build.

Gauss Development will be our preferred development partner for the next generation of our Automated reporting platform.

We used collaborative tools where we can track any tasks and subtasks, but all they are were always available and we could communicate through mail and other channels too. If there was a problem, there was always an effort to contact someone that could help, whenever it was.

Simple: They helped us do what we needed to do when we needed it.

With any big project there are always things that don’t go to plan. The key thing is how solutions are found to problems that occur. We always found that Gauss would pull out all the stops and get things done when it really mattered. We have also learned how we can be better customers and communication our requirements more clearly and it's about working effectively as a team.

Gauss is having highly skilled team, what is visible from their previous work portfolio. The biggest advantage compared to other places is they have highly professional person for any part of the project. This essentially speeds up delivery and quality, since highly professional person will take less time to finish the job, with higher quality of the solution.

I’m the owner and CEO of a marketing and business solutions company. We provide custom business solutions to market needs. Our first product is the Lominy app. We have six people working in the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Gauss Development?

We were looking for a partner that could help with the development part of the mobile app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Gauss is designing and developing Lominy for Android and iOS. It’s a style and fashion app with a few parts including gaming, e-commerce, and social. We gave them hand-drawn wireframes and requirements, but Gauss helped us create documentation as we were going through the project. We had to apply for European loans using it.

They also assigned us three people who are specialized in thinking about the future of the project. We didn’t just get a partner to develop the app; they’re also consulting us and identifying problems we might have in the future.

We’re entering the publication stage now. They’re doing some tweaks, after which the app will enter public beta testing. We’ll collect data and go back to Gauss Development to fix anything that needs to be fixed. We have contracts with some major fashion companies, and we’ll launch it in 15–20 days.

The account manager is our main point of contact, and I’ve communicated with four other people. They have separate teams for Android and iOS development, so I know there are others behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Gauss Development?

I heard a lot of good words about them from people in my marketing circle who’d worked with Gauss Development, so I reached out. Gauss Development had worked on tourism, accommodation, and other related apps, and they showed me the designs of their work.

I chose them because they didn’t simply say they could do it. We actually had 4–5 meetings before starting the project so they could understand exactly what we were trying to do, tell us whether and how they could do it, and what the timeline would be. We had strategic planning before actually diving into the work, and that got me hooked.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Gauss Development in August 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Across all the work we’ve done, Gauss Development missed the timeline just once and by just one day. That was because we wanted something extra, and they had to rush it in. They brought on extra people for the task in order to deliver in a few days less, and they were just one day behind our strategic timeline. Their team held us by the hand from start to finish.

I always have a person that can explain what’s going on and what I should expect and when. They followed their own deadlines. Gauss Development has always respected our wishes, but they tried to explain how best to do things in the mobile app environment. The best KPI I could give is that what Gauss said would be done was done.

How did Gauss Development perform from a project management standpoint?

I like their project management system. They have a few statuses to indicate when a developer has finished something and the QA team should get it or when the feedback from QA indicates a certain situation. I can see all of that and it’s written in a way that a non-developer can understand.

The account manager is there whenever I need to get information. They gave me access to their in-house-built project management system, where I can always see what’s going on. I got notifications whenever something was up on the project or I could just log in and see what was happening.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They don’t try to just deliver a product. They aim to provide a complete picture of what the product will look like on the market we’re planning to go into, and they provide advice on what should be in the product. They build products that actually serve a purpose, are fully functional for the market, and don’t just meet deadlines and create documentation to look good on paper.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing that I can think of.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

It’s better to tell them the idea and purpose behind the product than ask for a specific product. Then, Gauss Development can help create a better product than what the client initially imagined. That’s what happened with us, and I’d like for that to happen with everybody.

I’m the CEO of Iprosperity d.o.o., a small company that provides IT and digital marketing services to clients in Croatia.

What challenge were you trying to address with Gauss Development?

We had an idea for an IoT product that could help measure the air in wine cellars. Since we didn’t have the internal resources to build the product, we partnered with Gauss Development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Gauss Development has built our IoT product called Wineyard, which monitors wine cellar conditions. It’s a solution that consists of a device and a web system that allow users to check the various parameters that affect wine quality (e.g., humidity, temperature, CO2 levels). Their team has worked on both the hardware device and the software application.

They’ve also worked with us to refine our business model and product specifications as well as creating a sales strategy. We plan to sell our product online, so they’ve built a webshop and optimized the UI/UX based on their e-commerce experience.

What is the team composition? 

We work with a project manager, a UI designer, a backend developer who handled the backend application and the IoT device, and another for the web application.

How did you come to work with Gauss Development?

I’d worked with their CEO on a smaller project in the past. About a year and a half ago, we’d talked about my idea for Wineyard, and he was interested in the IoT part of the project. He offered his services, and I went with his company because they had experience in IoT development.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent around $200,000 on this project, with $100,000 going to Gauss Development.

What is the status of this engagement?

Gauss Development’s main involvement lasted from January–December 2020. The device and the applications are finished, but we’ll probably turn to them for system upgrades and additional mobile app features. They’re still working with us on some of the sales aspects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We still have to pitch the idea and collect user feedback, which is hard to do during the pandemic. In terms of the development that they’ve done, we’ve completed the product prototype and have an admin dashboard for the app. The webshop is also live in five languages.

How did Gauss Development perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s great that they’ve assigned a project manager to us so that we aren’t just communicating with their developers. Our project manager organized everything to make sure we hit our fixed deadline of January 15, 2021 — we actually delivered earlier by December 20, 2020. 

Regarding project management tools, we use their own internal tool to track the project and communicate along with regular calls. As milestones come up, we have more calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s the fact that they’re willing to participate in business ideas rather than just developing whatever we told them to and moving on. They play a part in developing both our business and the technical concepts.

No, we have a pretty good relationship.
