I am the founder of Pixsle.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fzaa فزعه, and what were your goals?

I tasked Fzaa to create two apps. Pixsle and Pixsle for Photographers. The goal was to have photos taken on a DSLR automatically upload to a server where they would be analyzed using facial recognition and subsequently matched with the correct client.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They offered a unique mixture of customer service and expertise that was required when making crucial decisions regarding the development of the app. As the sole owner, it was very valuable to have someone to consult regarding issues and priorities.

The UI/UX was designed by myself with the expert advise of Fzaa. During this time, the programmers worked on the face scanning logic to make sure the overall functionality of the app was feasible. One item we battled was making sure the facial recognition was cost effective.

If there were too many facial recognition "requests" from the server, it could potentially make the app unprofitable. The programmers worked tirelessly to ensure the app was efficient and properly programmed to use as little resources as possible. We started with AWS and moved to Microsoft for the computing processes.

We had 4 programmers dedicated full-time to monitor and build the app. One of which was QC, with their sole job to monitor timelines, updates, and the overall quality of the work. The remaining 3 were programmers and full stack developers. The app was built on iOS and Android.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After around 6 months of development we had a functioning prototype. This app would be able to connect to any Cannon DSLR camera and automatically upload photos to the "backend" of the site. From there the photos were scanned using facial recognition and sent to the correct user.

The deliverables were often on time and if there were delays, Fzaa communicated this promptly. I had contact to many of the programmers directly on WhatsApp where they were extremely responsive. This was one of the most benificial aspects of working with Fzaa.

I had a constant project lead / project manager that would speak with me daily. This kept the project on track and communicated any hurdles the programmers ran into. Their English was proficient and was open for video conference calls anytime I felt it was necessary. Their availability was astounding considering the timezone difference. I never felt that it effected the project in a negative way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I always found the depth of their knowledge impressive. They were able to research areas and understand complex mechanisms to make the app function.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When starting a project it was somewhat difficult to coordinate the proper team, however I communicated this to the project manager and he was able to setup the correct resources. This was not a major issues, just something to be noted.

No. Even through time zone differences, the team was outstanding in their response times and cadence.
