The initial phase of the project was to re-write the old mobile app from scratch:

• While keeping on par functionality with the old app
• Re-do the whole UI/UX of the new mobile app

The whole team was amazing in terms of responsiveness and communication.

Pati, who led the team was very involved and always made sure that the timeline is clear to everyone, everybody had all the information required to finish a task, and any potential risks were well mitigated in due time.

The dev team has made real efforts to first understand the business case of the app which then led to great success in delivering valuable tasks.

They've also shown they can be true partners to help us meet a deadline that was not even initially in the scope, to help us solve some business requirements that involved the (new) mobile app. They went above and beyond to help us.

We partnered with FXBits to initially build a new product in the crypto and NFT space. They were responsible for project management, solution architecture, implementation and maintenance. We further extended our partnership to another product; a digital commerce and payments platform, to rewrite the web application using the Next.js framework. 

FXBits were responsible for solution architecture, implementation, maintenance, and up-skilling our internal team in Next.js framework. Currently, we have established a long-term relationship, whereby they are augmenting out internal team to work as a single team.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our digital commerce and payments platform performed poorly on low end devices, and required a lot of data. The main measurable outcome to measure success, was to improve the Lighthouse performance score from ~10 to > 60. The performance goal was achieved.

Highly responsive when asked about anything. Very efficient workers all round - definitely increase development velocity since being involved in our projects. Affable characters on their team - from Paul to even the more junior devs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Concise communication - Our stand ups are usually pretty short and effective (tip of the iceberg), and I know a lot more investigation and effort happened behind the scenes. Effortlessly taking initiative autonomously - I’ve only needed to through bread crumbs in the direction where something needs to be addressed, the rest has been taken care off by the team. 

They dive down to the root cause, and follow best practices to fix issues and develop features in a good standard. Team work - I found that every team member is extremely good at something, and the team as a whole works as an efficient machine. 

I would describe them as an elite warrior team that never missed an arrow. Internally Streamlined - the teams internal communication flows like water, and reaches every other team member within minutes, no need to make big huddles and burn extra time on communication from my side. Strong technical know how - Along with good attitude, they also are also pretty good in what they do. 

So the core skills at each level of experience is really good. High Ownership - Team is super responsive & each member displays high level of ownership to tasks/problems assigned. They ask the right questions and collaborate both internally & with us to get to the desired outcome.

I am the product manager for the secure healthcare messenger, that was developed by FXBITs. Our company is active in the healthcare sector with various software solutions targeting professional users.

For what projects/services did your company hire FXBITS, and what were your goals?

We wanted to build a messenger that would stand up to the demands of the German healthcare market and enable secure and user-friendly communication on all common platforms (iOS, Android, web).

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have been successfully working with FXBITS for a long time and highly appreciate their knowledge, flexibility and commitment.

We developed our product in an agile way and built it on React Native. We also developed all 3 platforms in parallel for the MVP and then gradually enriched them with additional features. An initial kick-off workshop was followed by regular sprint demos every 2 weeks to check progress. Close coordination between the product team and the development team ensured that feedback could be quickly incorporated and implemented.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

FXBITS provided the Scrum Master in addition to the front-end and back-end developers so that all processes could run optimally. Over time, FXBITS also took on the role of Product Owner and that was my main contact into the development team. On our side were product management, UX and UI designers and testers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our messenger is used in specific healthcare contexts, where it has been praised by users (physicians) for its usability and stability. Our store rating is also excellent.

The PO/Scrum Master was always available for me and the response times were very short. We mainly communicated via a company messenger, and later via our own product. There were also regular on-site meetings before Corona for in-depth exchange and team bonding. Defined deadlines were almost always met. If it could not be met for certain reasons, I was informed in good time and comprehensively about the reasons.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their name says it all. FXBITS were very flexible and help with all challenges where they can. They can handle staffing peaks as well as quieter periods. Our product has become very good and runs stable and error-free. But most important is the personal commitment of the FXBIT management and their team. You can always rely on them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

During the project we had difficulties for a while with too many bugs that made it to UAT level. So we established new quality gates, so this issue was also solved and I don't see any further improvement possibilities at the moment.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

FXBITS was introduced and recommended to us by a business partner. After first getting to know each other and conducting a requirements workshop, we were convinced by the open, agile and collaborative work.

They created a complete concept for developing a cloud-based iIoT Platform. Starting with the selection of a suitable hosting platform, a suitable and consistent security infrastructure including a single sign-on procedure up to the connection of the wireless sensors and the display and analysis of the measured values. Development of suitable interfaces, calculation models and a uniform UX design were also components of the solution.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A strategic delivery manager was our main contact points. After the project started, weekly status meetings were held with the entire development team. Additional FXBITS experts were brought in as needed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Currently we have more than 300 sensors and 6 active customers on the platform. Globally operating and in their industry leading companies are considering the use of our platform as a central element.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

After the project started, weekly status meetings were held with the entire development team. Additional FXBITS experts were brought in as needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They offered high-level development at an affordable price. Fast, agile work, a high quality of the results as well as the introduction of solutions and further development belong to your strengths as well as the fast bug-fixing and familiarization with new tasks.

Our customer needed to implement the principle of one - to manage multiple configurations apps across departments by having a meta model to address them all. The goal was to implement an MVP for a Configuration Management Database application that would run on Web with increased security.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were highly recommended from a CEO from my network, that worked with them on several projects before. We wad an initial 2 days workshop onsite, where we shared the problem and how we thought about the solution. Their input was very good, and they even did some design sketches on the spot - that helped the discussions a lot and we could decide for them immediately.

Using our preliminary high level requirements their team understood the goal very fast and took over implementation from end to end. Their designer and developers greatly contributed to shaping the features and supported us through multiple iterations.

Initially we worked with their co-founder and the senior team who helped us define the solution in the preliminary workshop. After the project was in place we worked directly with the workshop team: UX/UI designer, solution architect and a senior full-stack developer. Another front-end developer joined the team after the workshop.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had deployed the MVP and are running it live with the purpose of collecting users feedback for the next feature set. We had very positive feedback. Even from one who was usually quite a critic of the new configurator project, his statement after the MVP was "OK, it's something new, we will need to learn. But new is good." From him, this is quite a praise for what we have.

They are flexible in the approach and really know what they are doing. In communication they are outspoken, direct, and sincere. We worked in agile scrum iterations of 2 weeks. As project tooling we used the Atlasian stack and Slack.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Having the onsite workshop that we also used as a kick-off was great. Communicating with their team remotely was so easy, just like we would with our people. We had the same team from the initial workshop to the end delivery and follow-up phases, and we were in perfect alignment at all times. I really liked that their co-founder was involved from the point of sale throughout the delivery sign-off and helped facilitating planning when needed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At times they could have insisted more for us to define the roadmap in more detail.

FXBits developed a web-based portal in which customers and employees can manage the onboarding and results fully integrated with SalesForce. The complexity of the project was the fact that the existing manual processes created very complex data structure which needed to be reduced by automation so that the end users maintained a level of flexibility.
