Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO and founder of G2 IT Solutions, Inc. a South Florida based Managed Service Provider.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Framework Security?

We partnered with Framework to review my companies’ overall security posture and they went through a detailed CIS 20 assessment which verified we have the best security measures in place for our customers.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a 3rd party to review all the controls in the CIS 20 and have a penetration test performed to protect our customer’s data. In addition, we wanted to mature our security policy and procedure documentation. In the end, we need to share the results from a security audit with our customers.

How did you select this vendor?

The Framework team was referred to me from a close colleague. He worked with the founder in the past on several projects. They were the perfect fit from an experience and cost perspective.

Describe the project in detail.

The Framework team walked us through the process which included interviews and we gave them access to a few key systems so they could review the configuration. Once that was complete, it didn’t require any time from our side. They completed the penetration test remotely. They developed a detailed report, executive summary presentation and the results form the pen test.

What was the team composition?

They assigned a project manager who is we worked with primarily. We were aware they had technical resources available to perform or review the pen test.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results include a prioritized list of areas that needed improvement and included guidance how to resolve those issues. In addition we had a new security policy that was customized for our company and will be great to share with customers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were very flexible with our schedules and very knowledgeable of our business model and technology we have in place.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was surprised how easy the whole process was. It gave me the peace of mind we are doing all the right things to secure our infrastructure.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can’t think of anything at the moment.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a 3rd party to review all the security controls to protect our customer’s data. In addition, we wanted to improve our employee’s knowledge of how to protect against common threats. It was important to share the results of our commitment to privacy with our customers.

We know Framework Security from our professional network. They were a great fit from a knowledge and budget perspective.

The Framework team walked us through the process which included an interview with all the employees. Once that was complete, we discussed the most pressing priorities and what would be our biggest bang for our buck. They developed a security awareness training program which has been a game-changer so we don’t make common mistakes.

I primarily worked with the founder but I know there were several others dedicated to our accounts.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They matured our information security program which included recommendations to advance our capabilities.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We met at our offices and over lunch since we are both in LA.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I really liked how thorough and comprehensive the engagement was. I now know we are utilizing best practices to protect the data of our customers.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothing really. They rocked. We are so happy we found them. I would highly recommend them.
