We hired Fractl to support our greater organic SEO strategy for a client. We needed help creating content campaigns that could earn high domain authority placements on other publisher sites.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fractl conducts research on behalf of our client with relevant topic areas. The team creates the campaign landing page and all the content based on the culmination of that research. Then, they leverage their extensive network of publishing partners to get exclusive content published on their sites for brand awareness and link authority that supports our client’s domain.

At the start of the relationship, we shared as much as we could regarding our strategy with the client. We've also shared relevant client information and data that would be helpful for them to use as a jumping-off point. During the discovery phase, Fractl provided some documents based on what we had provided in those initial discussions. They've suggested topic areas that would be valuable and relevant. The team has also suggested a list of potential publishers that would be valuable targets.

Ultimately, we aligned on the campaigns we would create over the course of the contract. Then, Fractl started researching and crafting the actual content. The discovery phase happened at the beginning of our 12-month contract. We've aligned on topics for the year. Since then, we’ve had a steady rotation of research, content creation, review, and work to get those campaigns published throughout the year.

There has been an initial keyword research, but we already had a lot of foundational keyword research that drives our strategy with the client. We've provided that to Fractl and directed them from the start. We've told them the keywords we've been trying to gain momentum for. We've had some back-and-forth discussions, but it's been a combined effort.

We collaborate upfront and review the content they create, but Fractl owns the process. The team does all the research and creates all the content. We give it the thumbs up, and our client gives it the thumbs up. Fractl's content goes directly to the client.

We’ve been in contact with a handful of people on the Fractl team. Joe, Fractl's director of content marketing, has been our main point of contact. He’s led the partnership along with me. We’ve also worked with several other staff members connected to or leading the research. They keep us apprised of how the research is going. Once Fractl creates the content, they share it with us for feedback.

How did you come to work with Fractl?

A couple of people at my company had either worked with Fractl or used to work for them. It was more of a recommendation that way. I had heard really positive things about them. Additionally, Fractl's strategy was impressive.

We’ve spent between $50,000–$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2025. We've actually renewed our contract with them for another year. Our client gets one campaign a month. It’s a well-oiled machine as far as conducting the research, creating the content for review, and working with us to get it approved and published by the client.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen very strong placements of the high domain authority, which is the ultimate goal in this partnership. We’ve leveraged Fractl’s extensive contact list and earned placements we wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.

We’ve seen great success from the majority of the campaigns we’ve published over the last year. Some campaigns have been published on very high awareness sites. Others have been published on a site and then syndicated across a news outlet. This has helped us gain 200 more links on multiple new sites and the domain authority from all of those sites. Overall, Fractl has exceeded our expectations.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve been impressed with them as a partner. I say that to anyone I get to talk to about Fractl. They’re highly impressive from a project management standpoint. The team responds rapidly and is consistently willing to collaborate and pivot if needed. They’re always on time.

We operate together using a shared spreadsheet. We can all see the live updates, and that has worked well for us. We primarily communicate via email. Sometimes, we have Zoom calls, but mostly, we use email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Fractl's response rate has been incredible throughout the entire partnership. They’re rapid responders, which is so valuable. Beyond that, the people who work there are incredibly kind and wise. In the first few conversations I had with them, I already felt they would be a very strong partner. From the onset, that went a very long way.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any constructive feedback. They’re fantastic.

They’re an extremely creative group of people. Fractl does what they say they’re going to do, and they do it well. They also have a lot of interesting ideas you might not think of. Don’t be afraid to give them a little creative or strategic control if you’re looking to expand what you brought to the table for them. Fractl excels at expanding on ideas and collaborating further.

Fractl has built hundreds of high-quality and authoritative links, many of them with a domain authority above 80, which are difficult to obtain. These links have helped us stay competitive in search engines and rank for keywords that drive revenue for our business. Overall, the team has met our expectations.

Fractl meets deadlines and stays on budget. The team primarily relies on Google Sheets, email, and meetings as needed to communicate and collaborate.

We're impressed with Fractl's ability to create content that generates links from authoritative websites.

I don’t think there’s anything Fractl can improve on.

Be open to Fractl's ideas because, depending on your experience, you might be in unfamiliar territory. Test them out and see if their insight proves accurate. If not, Fractl is more than open to adjusting on the fly in case things aren't performing as expected.

We hired Fractl to do large-scale digital PR and data journalism campaigns to increase our website’s domain authority.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fractl worked on data journalism campaigns, including long data-based articles. The team also produced infographics that displayed the results of the data surveys. Moreover, Fractl gave us opportunities to submit expert quotes to journalists who were seeking them out. The team managed and followed up on the requests, got our quotes, and submitted them to the journalists.

We knew Fractl from referrals and had worked with them before at a different business. We knew of their track record of success in digital PR. When attempting to choose an agency, we met with Fractl and three other agencies. Each agency submitted a proposal, and we reviewed those proposals and had meetings with each agency. After that, we decided to work with Fractl.

We worked with Fractl from February–August 2025. We will focus on other marketing channels for the rest of the year, but we'll probably work with them again in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our domain rating went from about 15 to over 30. The most successful campaign we worked on with Fractl over the past several months was a data journalism campaign about the vandalism rates on Teslas in connection to the current political climate. The team also produced high-quality infographics.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

Fractl met deadlines and stayed on budget. We exclusively used Google Sheets to track our progress, and Fractl registered the campaigns we were working on, all of the links we had as a result of those campaigns, and all the expert quote requests that were in play. For our communication, we used Slack and had occasional meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The ease of communication and how quickly Fractl responded to questions on Slack impressed us. Fractl made the process super simple. The team was highly professional and successful in what they did, providing a great client experience. Fractl made everything smooth and offered us a lot of confidence that we were going to reach the goals we had set.

I can't think of any.

Go into an engagement with Fractl knowing that you have the time to devote to the responsibilities on your end as a client. This includes providing and reviewing quotes and reviewing data journalism campaigns. This is the way you’ll get the most out of the engagement. Fractl will work as fast as you’re able to work, so knowing you have the capacity to do so makes the whole experience much more successful.

Fractl took our end client's site from nothing to 18,000 visitors per month. The quality of the team's work met our expectations.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

Fractl delivered on time and on budget and communicated well with us. If something wasn't right, they fixed it. We had no complaints. We communicated via email, phone calls, and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Fractl's biggest strength was their backlink efforts, especially the data journalism campaigns.

I’m the head of SEO and content at a math game company. We gamify the math learning process so kids can learn math through playing a fun game.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fractl?

We had a lot of bad backlinks and very few strong ones. We hired Fractl to pursue better quality backlinks on major media websites.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fractl devised a plan for our engagement. They conducted surveys on our behalf, and we approved the topics and survey results. Then, they pitched stories about those surveys to media outlets all over the United States. They were responsible for images and text.

Usually, there was a post on our site that had their images and data. They did a lot of pitching to media outlets, and those outlets would write a separate story that Fractl was not actually involved in the writing of. They would just pitch the idea or provide a part of the idea, essentially to the outlet.

They came up with the ideas of which topics to pursue and created the content themselves. We also briefly worked with them on some other content they created for a website that was not pitched to the media.

Our primary points of contact were their content marketing and digital PR directors.

I was brought on late in the process, so the engagement was already ongoing when I joined.

The engagement lasted from May 2024–May 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Fractl got us over 1,400–1,500 media mentions across the internet. They also got us approximately 40 DA90 or higher backlinks, approximately another 25 DA80 or higher, and another 50 DA70 or higher. In general, people were interested in the surveys. Some people were really enthusiastic about some of the surveys they did. We got a lot of positive news coverage.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

They met deadlines and stayed on budget. We communicated via email and had a meeting every two weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They overdelivered. They promised 300 mentions and backlinks, and they gave us 1,500. That was much more than we were looking for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a little closer to our market niche.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Fractl is a great partner for SEO, PR, and quality backlinks for your website. They know their stuff. You should work with them if you’re looking for original survey research. That has much more cachet with reporters than just regular blog posts. That’s what they’re really good at, and that’s why I recommend them.

Fractl has done about 15 campaigns for us. One of the pieces they published on our website got outstanding traction, and many prominent media outlets like Forbes picked it up. We've also gotten links and mentions from authoritative websites, which has been helpful.

Since we began working with them, we've received many queries on our website from software companies that want to do business with us. They've been finding us organically and wish to work with us on multiple software categories, which is the best sign of success since we started our engagement with Fractl.

Fractl beats the deadlines. Whatever they promised to deliver within the first year, they've almost delivered in the first seven months. We track our project through a Google Sheet. We have meetings with them every other week and communicate via Slack.

Fractl's work speed is rare to find. We've pushed them to deliver quickly, and they've met targets sooner than anticipated. The team is highly professional, always on time for the meetings, and consistently has the updates ready. It's always a pleasure talking to them; they're very well-organized.

We needed to scale the output of our content production. We needed to produce a large volume of content relatively quickly and simultaneously produce search-optimized content that could help our search rankings, drive more organic traffic to our site, and help with our brand awareness.

Fractl has a detailed questionnaire and onboarding process for all their new clients to ensure they understand the client's business, their customers, pain points, and goals and objectives. We've used them for several things and expanded our relationship over the years.

Initially, our relationship with Fractl started with content production, which helped us build our library of search-optimized content. The team has also designed data journalism pieces and interactive content for us. They've done SEO consulting for us and are doing a good deal of SEO consulting.

Fractl's team has adjusted over time. Right now, we have two primary contacts. We have a director on their team and a senior manager on the content marketing side. They have a team of experts that they rely on, including writers, editors, web designers, and developers. However, our primary contacts are the two people we've developed a great relationship with over the years.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team has done a fantastic job of understanding our business and expectations. They've learned our business well, a sign of a great agency partner. The ones that stand out and are beneficial are those with a deep knowledge of your business. Fractl does that through their onboarding and relationships with their clients over time.

Since the beginning of our relationship with them, we've seen a triple-digit percentage increase in the amount of organic traffic our content generates. We've also seen a triple-digit percentage increase in the number of backlinks that we're getting from the content. Overall, they've worked on hundreds of articles of search-optimized content, and it's performed very well for us. It's always very high-quality and comprehensive content that we feel confident making available to our customers in the broader community.

Fractl has always made it very clear to us that they have a wide range of services, including what we use them for and things like link building, PR services, and technical SEO optimization. And the nice thing about it is we've been able to tap into that wide breadth when needed. And it's been highly comforting and beneficial to know that we can turn to them for almost anything.

The team has the experience and the skills on board to do that. Fractl is a friendly agency partner for whatever challenge in content marketing or SEO; Fractl is our first call when we need help.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

Fractl's responsiveness and customer service are outstanding. Over the years, we've had a few fire drills where we've needed quick assistance and their help with some teams and new projects. We've been able to do that literally within a couple of days with them. 

Fractl has always been incredibly flexible with us. We've had a lot of changes in our priorities. We can adjust the types of services that Fractl provides us fluidly and efficiently. That's helpful because things change frequently. The plans we set at the beginning of the year aren't always the plans we need at the end or in the middle of the year.

We have a good relationship with them. We have a Slack channel, shared documents that we work on together, and regular calls with them. They're always very responsive and ready to help us out. We don't use Jira or Asana; we've kept it to shared Google Docs and a spreadsheet in which we track our current projects. That's met our needs.

We've always had good communication with them to understand the status of the various projects they're working on. They're always on time to meet; I don't think there's a single deadline they've ever missed. They're often early and always on top of everything that they're working on for us.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

We have been working with Joe, our director and primary point of contact, for a while. He's amazing. Rebecca is our other main point of contact. She is super impressive, also. And the entire Fractl team has been great. We've worked closely with their CEO, Nick. He is excellent and very responsive. The whole team has gone out of their way to ensure that their clients are cared for and to deliver service that always goes above and beyond.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This past summer, we needed to increase the content volume that Fractl produced for us significantly. We talked to Nick on a Thursday night, and by Monday, we had a plan and a project in place, and they had it staffed. And we were able to kick off the project and get it going.

As a client, I appreciate that Fractl feels like an extension of our team. They understand the urgency and importance of our work and jump right in to help us solve it. We're linked arm-in-arm when we work with them. So I appreciate that.

Fractl has been right next to us to figure out how we can adjust things to meet our current needs. We can dial up or dial down certain services. It feels like a true partnership; they're not just a vendor but a partner for us.

We know we can call on them for virtually anything, and they will work with us on a solution. There are very few agencies that do that. It makes my team and I so much more effective in our work.

I don't think there's anything they can improve on. Anytime we have feedback for them, they listen and take it to heart. Fractl ensures they're meeting our needs. As part of our scope of work with Fractl, they’ve managed some data journalism campaigns and conducted reactive press quotes with the press they’ve been pitching for. At the start of our ideation, they asked many kickoff questions in which we shared our business objectives and what we hoped to achieve from the partnership.

Then, the Fractl team did a comprehensive link gap analysis to understand what links were missing from a digital PR perspective to drive traffic to our site. They’ve also discussed where we could optimize press coverage to drive that traffic to our site.

Essentially, they’ve come back with ideas to close the link gap and insights into topics that would be newsworthy and generate press for us. They’ve pitched these ideas to us, and we’ve given feedback on them. 

One of the most successful campaigns we’ve worked on with them has been the Soundtrack of Intimacy.

We initiated the conversation with Kelsey, the co-founder and head of digital PR. We’ve had three core team members we speak to most regularly: Joe, their content marketing director; Nicole, the head of digital PR and AI; and Kip, the associate director of digital PR. Additionally, there have been five other teams with whom we’ve been in regular contact on our Slack channel, including the data journalism team, which has been pitching campaigns and presenting reactive ideas to us regularly.

An employee on a different team who previously worked with them at my company referred them to us. We chose them because we liked their approach to reviewing the link gap analysis and their data-driven approach to securing press coverage. Additionally, they’ve been very creative and shared our brand values.

Our first retainer for ZipHealth started in May 2024 and ended in October 2024. Then, we onboarded them for a second six-month period, from November 2024 to April 2025. We have Levity’s retainer with them from September 2024 to February 2025, another brand within our company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Fractl has driven over 500 links and coverage across our brands, which has been great. As a result, we’ve achieved triple-digit growth, a 251% year-on-year in SEO traffic to our sites. One campaign has highlighted and explored the connection between music and sex.
The team's in-depth ideas about closing the link gap have been specific to our brand objectives and aligned with the issues we’ve wanted to discuss. They’ve quickly amended the ideas where we’ve wanted to see some changes, and then we’ve progressed with some ideas we’ve been happy with.

We’ve been so happy with the results of the first retainer that we’ve onboarded them for a second six-month period and for another weight loss brand within our company, Levity.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve consistently met all deadlines. They’ve been highly organized and efficient, and collaboration with them has been very easy. We’ve shared a Google document where we review their pitches collaboratively and a tracker on Google Sheets.

They’ve all been a pleasure to deal with and considerate of our needs and feedback. The work process has been streamlined, and we’ve mostly spoken on Slack. Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing director at Payless Power, a retail electric provider that provides electricity to homes and businesses across Texas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fractl?

We needed help getting our company name and the services we provide in front of many people we usually wouldn't be able to get in front of. We also needed help with link building and a more holistic digital PR approach.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fractl provides us with link-building, content marketing, and digital PR services. They provide detailed campaigns that we give to our internal web development team to post on our blog. The campaigns also contain assets, such as infographics, that we can utilize across social media platforms. The assets they provide have color schemes that match our company colors, so everything feels like Payless Power, even though Fractl does most of the work.

Fractl has provided complimentary technical SEO services a few times due to last-minute requests on our end. When someone on our internal team can't help, Fractl steps in. They've used a tool for scraping pages and figured out which keywords should be highlighted for the campaign they're focusing on. They do a lot of research before they provide us with the campaign details.

Most of their digital PR work involves crafting timely topics, such as political campaigns, that relate to our business. For example, they've done fundraising campaigns related to Taylor Swift's touring, how much electricity she uses for her shows, and how that ties back to our company.

What is the team composition?

We communicate with 5–10 people every week. Most of those reach out for separate campaigns, and some are specific to the technical SEO side of the project. We also communicate sometimes with Kelsey, the acting Account Manager. 

How did you come to work with Fractl?

This is our second partnership with Fractl. When we began our first project a couple of years ago, we tried to find someone to assist with link building and a holistic digital PR approach. That project ended around 18 months ago, and we decided to reach out and partner again. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent $275,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working with them since June 2024, and our engagement lasts 12 months.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure our success based on the placements Fractl is getting, such as CNN, Yahoo, and Good Morning America, rather than any specific data. We've received several placements and links from Fractl from many local newspaper companies in Dallas and Fort Worth. The team creates content that is extremely attractive to high-authority sites, which puts Payless Power in front of a national audience.

It's clear that whenever the team lands us on high-priority sites, we experience a substantial 200% to 400% increase in web traffic. Their contacts across the industry, from local newspaper companies to larger-scale new sites, and getting our name out there with those companies have been substantial for us.

How did Fractl perform from a project management standpoint?

They've been highly proficient in project management, using a mix of Asana and Google Docs. The scope of work laid out at the beginning of the project is very detailed. Their weekly communication has been fantastic from start to finish; we've held meetings via Google Meet throughout the engagement to ensure everybody's on track.

They've always been on time, if not early, and what they said they would provide is fantastic. We've been very thrilled with how they handle their business and execute what they promised.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're just thrilled with the work the entire Fractl team has done on our account. In our space, it's easy to overpromise and underdeliver. Fractl has overpromised and over-delivered, which is unique in this space. It shows that their relationships across all industries benefit them and their clients.

It's impressive that they wowed us with what they promised in our first meetings, and we've been wowed the entire time. Fractl has an industry-standard profile in the digital world, which shows that they're best-in-class for what they do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't have any recommendations; we've been perfectly pleased with them.

Trust what Fractl says they can do and provide. They'll do it. They've stuck to their word the entire time, and I trust what they say they'll do.
