I am a senior account manager at a digital marketing agency in Philadelphia. As a digital marketing company, we specialize in the life sciences verticals. I act as a liaison between my agency, my internal team, and our clients.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Foxgroove Interactive?

A major pharmaceutical client’s outdated, ineffective internet portal was hampering efficiency. Like most businesses, this portal on their websites supports employees in their daily work. Functions might include selecting benefits, mapping employee seating charts, or providing general (or more private) company information.

We were tasked with an extensive redesign, and needed to staff accordingly. Foxgroove’s supplemental experts extended our team, and provided similar user experience resources.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We took a full audit of everything topical to this project on the Internet, and developed a redesign approach with the client. Taking the audience segments and user needs into account, we created wireframe and new design. The content was specifically tailored to the user. As a global company, our client has countless employees and a variety of user types. The backend development was sophisticated and complex. The frontend, while not very user-friendly, necessitated extensive work to compile all the data.

What is the team dynamic?

I worked with several user experience experts from Dave Debonis’s team. Everyone is such a delight to work with, and we’ve had a lot of laughs. Not only are they experts, they also made my day a little bit more fun.

How did you come to work with Foxgroove Interactive?

As a selected and trusted partner, their abilities and expertise immediately came to mind when this position opened. We have had a longstanding relationship with their CEO that predates my 4-year tenure. This project gave me the pleasure of finally working with them.

How much have you invested with them?

While I can’t share exact figures, we stayed on scope. We estimated an appropriate budget, and were able to pace accordingly.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted between February and December of 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've seen overall satisfaction with not only the client, but also the internal team. The solution is functional, without any major defects or bugs.

How Foxgroove Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

We experienced very few problems. They met the deadlines we'd set out, and communicated well with our team. We used a couple collaboration and project management tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to get to the crux of the situation makes them stand out from other vendors. From the beginning, they commit to the due diligence and requisite work to create strong deliverables. We built on the foundation of a thorough audit, which informed our recommendations. It makes everyone's job easier when the results are high-quality. Their flexibility and adaptation made for a very successful partnership.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Each client and situation will have unique needs. Although they were nimble and flexible, that’s something that can always be improved.

I’m the founder of a forthcoming interactive mobile app startup.

What challenge were you trying to address with FOXGROOVE?

I needed their team to design my MVP’s prototype.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I worked with David (CEO) to finalize the design of the prototype design of my app. Our initial meetings revolved around brainstorming design ideas and outlining my goals and vision for this project. FOXGROOVE then proceeded with the pre-prototyping stage, which involved wireframing and building the overall template for the final prototype design.

Elana (Senior Director of Experience Design) was in charge of generating branding solutions that I could integrate into my platform. She refined my mission statement and helped me come up with fitting font styles and color schemes. Additionally, she also designed my logo, which I plan on using throughout my branding efforts.

What is the team composition?

I worked with David and Elana, who handled the design and branding, respectively.

How did you come to work with FOXGROOVE?

FOXGROOVE was referred to me by a friend and a neighbor.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project ran from May–August 2021. I just forwarded their design to the mobile app developer in charge of building my platform.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My development team was impressed with the quality of the prototype that FOXGROOVE built. My main success metric for their work was to have a reliable and refined framework to hand over to my developers, and FOXGROOVE delivered that. 

I also consulted other acquaintances for their early opinions on what I had so far, and they happily told me that I was on the right track. Overall, I was satisfied as I only heard good things about their work, which makes me look forward to the actual development of my mobile platform.

How did FOXGROOVE perform from a project management standpoint?

FOXGROOVE was committed to meeting my expectations, whether quality- or timeline-wise — they always delivered what I needed when I needed it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed with Elena’s creative and transparent approach. She helped bring my ideas to life —  and even refined those. She asked the right questions, which helped me flesh out the branding solutions I needed to see in the prototype.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This was the first time I worked with a similar service provider, and I thought FOXGROOVE met my requirements and expectations. Their team definitely rewarded me with a worthwhile experience with great results — there was nothing they could’ve done better.

Share as much information as possible and communicate your needs and expectations with full transparency.

I am the CEO of a plant-based soup company that has products available in retail locations as well as on our website via a direct-to-consumer program

For what projects/services did your company hire FOXGROOVE?

Our website was not converting the appropriate number of visitors. We had concerns that the customer flow, buttons, colors, and overall user experience wasn't designed correctly.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed a comprehensive review to understand how to improve our conversion rates and make the proper site upgrades.

How did you select FOXGROOVE?

My team reached out via Linked In after noticing the work and accolades that they were receiving.

Describe the project in detail.

The project involved a kick off meeting and comprehensive review of our site, functionality, analytics, KPI's, etc. FoxGroove then dug deep into every page of the site, identifying areas in need of critical improvements along with "good to haves." We were presented with a comprehensive roadmap to success!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The audit resulted in a decision to completely overhaul the website. FoxGroove provided the insight and knowledge we needed to embark on an overhaul of our customer and brand experience.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was excellent. FoxGroove was communicative, responsive, and great to work with.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

FoxGroove's attention to detail was astonishing. The breadth of their understanding of the DTC industry is incredible.

None. I cannot think of anything.
