I have been very please so far and don't have any suggestions for improvement at this time.

I am the COO of Neural Divergence, LLC. We provide education and consulting to parents and institutions who deal with children on the Autism spectrum.

For what projects/services did your company hire Flexible Sites, and what were your goals?

We needed a corporate website that presented an overview of our company, a list of services and products we provide, and a way for interested parties to contact us.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for website developers who specialized in small businesses and non-profits. FlexibleSites had the knowledge and experience that fit our needs.

We had weekly meetings throughout the development process. We discussed our overall goals of the site, look & feel of the site, templates to be used, etc. We were provided an administration portal which made making changes and updates to the site a snap, along with a link to the development site so that we could view the progress of the site in real-time.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Jim was our POC throughout the entire project with a team of devs working with him including the front-end, back-end, and graphic design.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are extremely pleased with the work FlexibleSites did for us. The team was professional, friendly, and timely throughout the development process, website launch, and follow-up.

The weekly meetings really helped us provide feedback throughout the process. The entire team was great to work with. Any changes or updates were handled extremely quickly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

FlexibleSites is the absolute best experience we have had with a website developer. They were very knowledgeable and professional. The final product looks great and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No improvements and/or changes are to be made from our perspective. The entire team was super, and the entire development process was great.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of Health Travel Secure, a company that specializes in medical tourism. We target North American customers.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Flexible Sites?

Our company needed reliable website hosting, maintenance, and security. Our previous site was hacked, and if not for our database being on a different server, our patient's data would have been compromised.  Our former hosting provider was able to shut down the website to block the security concerns, but they could not get the site back up in a usable state. We were not happy with the results of their service.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Flexible Sites has helped us with website design, hosting, and security. For the design work, we picked and paid for a template. Then, they filled it in and added customization. We had 2–3 sessions where we talked about the site, and they implemented a headless CMS. As property owners, we can enter the backend and make small, simple changes to the site. 

I had problems with the SSL certificates and plug-ins updating on my previous WordPress website; the updates weren’t done in a timely fashion, and this created an easy entry point for hackers. Now, with Flexible Sites, we have IT professionals that keep the website up to date, maintain the site, and monitor the security so we don’t have to worry about it.

What is the team composition?

Jim (Co-Owner) is my main point of contact. He administers all of the other people that work on the projects.

How did you come to work with Flexible Sites?

I’ve known Jim for about a year — we met at a coworking office space. We became friends, and I spoke to him a while ago about a software application that we wanted to develop for Health Travel Secure. We didn’t go through with it at the time, but we stayed in touch, and he told me about Flexible Sites several months later. 

When the hacking occurred, I reached out to Jim. He was able to help me and provide a quick solution to the problem. 

How much have you invested with them?

Our company has spent less than $5,000; it’s very economical. Flexible Sites gave us an amazing deal, where for a few hundred dollars, we got a new customized site. We also pay between $30–$50 per month for site hosting and maintenance. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in August 2020, and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our business partners and investors have been really impressed with Flexible Sites' professionalism. They are very happy with the site layout and that we have someone who is consistently doing maintenance and providing full IT security. The site is largely unchanged, but our team is posting content on social media to increase traffic to the website.

How did Flexible Sites perform from a project management standpoint?

Personally, nothing is ever fast enough, but objectively, they’re pretty good. It took Flexible Sites’ team a week or two to get the site back online, and they also handled the copy of the website. Honestly, that’s probably the best we could ask for. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s an amazing service, and the value for your money is spectacular. Sometimes, providers aren’t professional and just do a bad job, but Jim and his team are the antitheses of that. They are high-quality, first-rate providers with fairly reasonable prices.

The previous hosting provider was nice but really not worth it. They returned the site to me, and it was completely unusable and not what we needed. There were also delays and mismanagement, and the site didn’t meet expectations. Instead of spending thousands of dollars on fixing the site, I decided to make a fresh start. Jim and Flexible Sites’ team are direct and will tell you exactly how long the project is going to take, and they deliver as promised. 

The team is honest and upfront, very good at managing expectations, and realistic with deadlines. If there’s an issue, I just contact them, and they fix it; it’s definitely something we appreciate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I’d have them improve. It would be good if they could set up a Google Analytics page where the client can easily monitor the trends and have an easier layout.

Any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise them to be thorough with what they need and are looking for. It’s best to give them a 'wish list' and tell them about specifications, budget, and other project information so that the team can make out what they can or can’t do.
