For what projects/services did your company hire Finnoconsult GmbH, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop two tablet/mobile apps to support our bank consultants adressing espacially young clients. The main goal was to implement and realise a high gamification approach to the insurance consultation. We hired Finnoconsult to support us in the project for key services: ideate, design and steer the development of the application over different evolution stages.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Finnoconsult was onboarded in late 2015 by a former member of the board of Raiffeisen Versicherung (which was back then a subsidiary of UNIQA Insurance Group).

Various versions of the application were developed in course of the project. The development was performed with a constant inclusion of internal stakeholders and representatives of the target group, to ensure that a solution was delivered that really addressed the needs of their target customers.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Four members were working with us. The team consisted of User Research, UX/UI Design, one developer and a project manager

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launched the project on time and achieved a substantial improvement in the sales KPIs for the respective insurance products in these target groups.

Goal-oriented meetings, "know your customer"-approach, collaboration and a lot of stakeholder iterations, a transparent, structured roadmap of the project progress.

We were impressed by their solution-oriented approach and quick way of working, their great product design and user research experience

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

nothing to criticize, just a little room for improvement: higher management attention with outsourced experts.

Our company is a universal bank with 68 branches throughout Switzerland and primarily active in business with retail and private customers as well as with small and medium-sized corporate customers.

As Head of CX, I ensure that the customer experience team works in collaboration with all other business functions, consistently delivering great end-to-end customer experience across all stages, channels and touchpoints in the customer journey.

Finnoconsult and their UX-subsidiary ENNO studio helped us as expert sparring partner and operative support to design parts of our future online banking. They created mockups using Figma and designed different variations of screens.

Finnoconsult was recommended by a Senior Manager who used to work with them for a longer time in a previous project at Bank Cler / Basler Kantonalbank.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are very pleased with the outcome of the projects. What we agree on at the beginning of the project is always delivered on time. Their team is very handson, pragmatic and transparent. A concrete example of an outcome is the successfully develoveped modules developed based on the designed mockups.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was quick and on point, and deliverables were handed over on time. It is really great to collaborate with Finno/Enno.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their expertise in user centric design and development blew me away. They are professional and a partner we can rely on.

Bank Cler is a Swiss-wide operating retail bank that achieved a successful rebranding in 2017. I am the Head of Digital Banking and responsible for the app Zak.

We hired Finnoconsult to support us in the project for key services; their task was to ideate, design and steer the development of the application over different evolution stages. The major goals were a swift and attractive design of a MVP version with an appealing set of key features. We wanted this to be done using agile methodologies and focussing on the UX, this is why we trusted the Finnoconsult.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Finnoconsult onboarded in 2016 using their Finnoscore-benchmarking for showcasing Bank Cler and Basler Kantonalbank how digital optimizations are possible with a reasonable effort by learning from international best practices. During the joint project “Zak” the team introduced agile approaches that ensured the delivery of this project in a fast and timely manner.

We wanted a new banking app aiming to "wow" younger people. We started with a prototyping phase in 2017, went over to two beta-phases with larger user groups and finally achieved a public launch in 02/2018. After that, we jointly worked constantly on the further optimization of the solution.

Four to eight members depending on the project phase were working with us. The team consisted of User Research, UX/UI Design, technical experts and project managers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We successfully opened a digital product line to acquire new clients. With Zak, we acquired more than 50'000 new clients in four years.

As a result of the engagement, we received constant expert sparring to achieve an outstanding user experience for new elements of our nex gen website. Leading a transparent workflow, Finnoconsult used Slack and Trello as collaboration tools to effectively communicate and manage the project.

The enthusiastic and personable team fostered a productive feedback process throughout. Various elements of the next gen webportal have been developed in course of the project. The development was performed with a constant inclusion of internal stakeholders and representatives of the target group.

Their enthusiastic and personable team fostered a productive feedback process throughout the engagement. In addition to the technical delivery, the team helped to apply new approaches in Online Marketing, supporting us to explore new revenue streams beyond banking.
