The Family Member is focusing on providing healthcare at home, elderly care, ERC and other wellness services in India. I am the founder of TFM along with a team of 20 people and other service providers on board.

For what projects/services did your company hire Finlark Technologies?

We were operating our entire business using docs and other handy tools without any technical support for a year or so. After getting market validation, we felt the need of having technology platforms like mobile apps for consumer growth as well as the admin systems for better operational management. We hired Finlark for an end to end services - from product ideation to design to deployment of mobile apps, company website as well as admin systems for backend operations.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a very user-friendly mobile app to cater to our majority target base which is in the range of 50 to 80. We wanted a very good data security measures for our customer's medical records as well. Plus, our entire staff is not so tech-savvy, we wanted to address that as well.

How did you select this vendor?

We spoke with five-seven companies and shortlisted two out of them. We interviewed them thoroughly and felt that they were having a very strong understanding of startup product development. Their costs were a little higher than the other companies we were talking with, but in the end, their efficiency cost us lower than the estimate.

Describe the project in detail.

Our project has been designed and developed in Adobe XD/PS, React Native for mobile apps and Laravel as well as MySQL for backend and admin systems. As we cater to a very different target audience, our mobile app and website designs have to be very thorough. We instructed the Finlark team to focus only on designs first before starting with anything else. We had an initial timeline for 8 months for all the deliverables - two mobile apps, one website, and four backend panels - which eventually completed within 6 months.

What was the team composition?

From day one they assigned one project manager along with an assistant project manager for our project. They have started with 2 app designers, 2 app developers, and 2 backend developers. One QA tester was assigned who was in direct touch with me along with the project managers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have started using admin panels already which resulted in highly efficient operations. For launching a website and mobile apps, we are planning a strategic campaign to launch for our existing customers as well as new ones.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was flawless. We were receiving daily updates in the morning as well as at the end of the day about what has to be done and what is done during the day in different departments respectively. We were also conducting timely meetings whenever required. Our team was always in touch with them for any type of discussion and suggestions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We loved their work management, transparency as well as their internal coordination. The entire team was working as their own startup project. We just have to sit back and get involved only if they ask.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As we know, any big project will see a few hiccups even though everything is planned with the most possible details. We also passed those hiccups. But in the end, we are very satisfied with the results so there is nothing specific I can point out here.

We hired Finlark Technologies for our website, our backend client management software and client project monitoring application development.

What were your goals for this project?

We were facing a lot of issues when helping clients with their financial accounting and consulting. One of the major issues was that we were not able to keep a tally of what tasks are running around an organization, with what departments the client need help with, etc.

Our primary goal was to build a website displaying our presence, an internal task-based management system where we log things and what needs to be addressed for each and every client and a progress tracking app for all of our clients.

I met one of Finlark Technologies' co-founder at a startup event last year and we instantly hit the cord! We helped a few clients of Finlark Technologies with financial services and they were thus the perfect choice for us given the work discipline that they follow.

They provided technology consulting, app & web designing and development services. The project began with a simple chat being converted into an idea. I reached out later with a set of features over which we discussed and locked down the final features. The features were documented and the project was locked down.

They shared a technical document guiding what and how the implementation will take place. They kicked off things with mobile and web UI-UX, wireframe lockdown and UI lockdown later. They started the development post my approval of the designs and then kept me in the loop about the development progress. The project is about to get deployed after the trial tests that we're internally conducting right now.

We were assigned a dedicated project manager, a UI-UX designer, a couple of engineers and a mobile app team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The impact on the business has been great. We now don't need to ask for client task status across various departments. From the client's point of view, it has helped our clients analyze the task progress and they can immediately send feedback if we missed something out!

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project management was arranged with a preliminary meeting with one of the cofounders and the business analyst. Once the project was locked down, the project scheduling and delivery were carried out by the project manager. They used the Basecamp app to keep me in the loop of project progress and communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive thing about them is their passion for getting involved with the idea. They have the utmost precision into client user journeys. I never knew about these terminologies before starting the project, they educated me about the production processes that are employed to deploy a successful product.

Nothing as such! They have a great team and would surely love to recommend my connections to them.

Apart from it we are assigned one graphic designer, UI/UX designer,font end engineer, dedicated content writer. The backend developer and 3 developers for mobile apps.

They have very good clarity of product development, iterations, feedback loops, testing etc. With the help of Finlark guys we are able to differentiate between what is necessary at the moment and what should be left out for next phases.

Project management is really impressive. We are running way ahead of our planned timeline.

Finlark has a very clear organizational structure. We are assigned a dedicated team and also have an access to the Finlark founders. They are always approachable and keeps an eye on every project under the roof.

They are really good in working with startups. I would like to suggest them to promote themselves enough to get in touch with new startups having a non-tech founders.

The project manager was committed to gaining deep insights into the problem statement. My internal team worked very closely with him, and he prepared a comprehensive project plan. We received weekly updates regarding our progress and next steps.

I loved their willingness to brainstorm with us to get to the core of our processes. Ultimately, their contributions resulted in a better product than we initially thought of. We could have moved much faster, but Finlark Technologies took the time and effort to understand every detail.
