To create a multi-language platform where tutors are able to teach online through video conference to learners all over the world.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
Many vendors were chosen until we settled with Fatbit. They were the only company who were able to provide us with very detailed proposal. In another words, they were the only one who knew exactly what we wanted.

Fatbit designed, developed and installed the tutoring platform. The project began with collection of requirements, discussion of work scope, time frame, costs and length of support after delivery. Throughout the project, we were updated with the development phase. A demo system was presented to us and one of their staff, Aditya, went through the system in detail over video chat.
Several changes were followed up. The only major issue we have had with the platform upon delivery is that a scheduler, used between tutors and learners to arrange lessons, has time set to our system time. That posed a problem to users from different countries due to varying timezones. As we had initially thought that to be part of a standard feature, a separate invoice had to be raised to have the timezone function implemented.
What was the team composition?
Apart for the Aditya and Kesa who negotiated the contract, we were unsure of the size of the development team.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We are at the initial phase of the business and the impact it has is so far unknown. The early results appear to be promising as we have a lot of inquiries and sign up rate is better than expected.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Despite the project going past the deadline by two months, the final delivery was satisfactory.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Fatbit is most impressive not with the work they provide, which should be standard with all developers anyway, is the after sales support they provide. Despite the numerous changes we had asked for after the platform went live, everything was done. The level support they provide is top-notch. That is something other developers we'd worked with were unable to provide.
Are there any areas for improvement?
As with all things, there is always areas for improvement. Requirements could have been better managed because of the issue we have had with the scheduling of lessons on the platform.
