Having build a strong relationship together over the past five years, Fabres continues to play a key role in one of our development teams, handling our web and mobile app development, as well as QA. The team generally exceeds expectations and deliver consistant quality. 

Fabres are also challenging us, and our deliveries, pushing us to excel and develop how we work and how we build our services, adding huge value to the package, eventually hitting our users and our 500 000 members.

Fabres is an integral part of our full-time development team. Over the past 10 years, they have contributed to both major and minor features and services across our platform. For example, they played a key role in our largest project to date: the upgrade of our ERP platform, the rebuilding of numerous web services, and the successful migration of all associated data. Their involvement spans from large-scale strategic initiatives to day-to-day bug fixes.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Lets use the ERP upgrade project as an example. Internally called FutureIT.

Fabres played a key role, deliveried significant and measurable outcomes, here are a few of those:

We reduced technical debt by adopting a greenfield approach, resulting in a more future-proof platform.

Introduced a new service layer (DSP) to manage all communication between our web and ERP environments—replacing direct integrations. This not only streamlined architecture but also enabled easier service sharing across companies in our group.

Deployment processes were greatly improved through a modernized pipeline with integrated automated testing, leading to faster and more reliable deliveries.

Project delivery exceeded expectations, with minimal issues during implementation and a notable increase in delivery speed and quality across teams.

Fabres consistently delivers high-quality work and meets expectations in both scope and timeline. They have a strong track record of keeping their commitments and delivering on time. In addition to development resources, they have also provided Agile Coach roles to us, which have contributed to improved sprint planning, cross-team coordination, and overall project control. They are proactive, take ownership in both large and small projects, and are quick to respond to our needs with flexibility and professionalism.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impresses us most about Fabres is how well their culture aligns with ours. They are hardworking, highly communicative, and truly act as an integrated part of our development team. The level of trust and transparency we have with them allows for honest, constructive dialogue, something that continuously improves the collaboration for both sides. They blur the line between internal team members and external consultants in the best possible way.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Fabres could have done differently?

After more than 10 years of working together, any initial challenges we faced, such as remote collaboration across countries, have been resolved through mutual effort and continuous improvement. Today, we have a highly effective and seamless collaboration. Regular in-person meetings, both in Norway and Poznań, have helped strengthen the relationship even further. At this point, there are no significant areas for improvement, we truly see Fabres as a trusted and well integrated part of our team.

Fabres` scope includes work such as handling incoming invoices and incoming payments, preparing outgoing payments, preparing documentation and cost review reports for period end and creating outgoing invoices, as well as handling various other tasks.

Fabres has consistently delivered good quality and accuracy in their work. Efficiency has also clearly been improved with more work being done nwithin the same number of hours now than a year or two ago.

The Fabres team is responsive and head working, usually replying within minutes after a request has been sent. Deadlines related to year end and period end closing are met without exceptions.
