I hired exemplary to create this mobile application in which I had envisioned for quite some time. The goals were to bring to life this app in quality form. After spending months looking for developers and almost getting scammed I was desperate until I found exemplary marketing.

I heard from a friend that there was this amazing guy on Fiverr who had completed a few projects for some friends he knew. I immediately began to do research and found that Malik Kurdi and his team were the perfect fit.

I’m not tech guy so all I can say here is that whatever resources the possessed we definitely used to achieve the completion of this project.

We found it very impressive that they actually knew what they were doing. In this day and age you always get people who will just take your money and not even Possess the skills necessary to complete the task. Exemplary is not that kind of company at all!!!

I hired Malik and his company exemplary marketing to create a location based social network dating application for a specific target audience. I had specific goals and requirements that were given to Malik to relay to his team for implementation. There was a contract that we signed that I thought was legitimate but I only found out that this is just a piece of paper that is used against me for me to abide to and not for Malik to honor.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I read the reviews and I looked at the portfolio of his work. It looked legitimate to me, but I made a huge mistake working with this company as it was a disaster from the start till now and I still don't have a finished product.

The project was a social dating app for women. The steps were that I was supposed to pay in milestones for implementing and creating this app.

I worked with two different outsourced companies in India. Malik claims that all work is done in house in Chicago, but that is a false representation. He lies to get you to sign a contract then outsources the work to outside of country companies while charging you US prices for working on an app.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I have not been delivered a finished bug free app. Every time I ask them to fix an issue, another one rises and then they won't want to fix the issue unless you pay them extra money to get the work done. They don't honor their own contract and they don't even honor their own timelines. Completely unprofessional. I have to go to another company to get my app fixed and I am running out of time because I have kept extending my trademark thinking that this work will be done soon and it is not done.

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

Malik went into my web hosting two days ago and deleted my website off the server because he still had my credentials.

There is poor management style all over. You don't have direct communication with the developers who are in a different time zone. They ask you about issues in middle of the night around 3-4am and then by the time you respond another day has passed.

The only person that you are in direct communication is the owner Malik who then blocks you on iMessage and WhatsApp and makes you talk on Slack that he controls. He can see every message you send, delete messages on his own, and controls everything. Can kick you out of the channel and you have no access to the notes. He does this so that you can not go back and use these texts in legal proceedings.

Malik promises deadlines he cant keep. Every Friday, he would say next week will be done. I had trademark deadlines on July 10, never met, Spetember 10, never met, October 15, never met. It is like dealing with a person who can not meet any deadlines but only wants to take your moneyfurther until he can't take anymore which then he simply blocks you and takes you off the channel.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Empty promises.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I hope they follow the contract and be honest with their business handling of situations. I have never worked with someone so unprofessional and just only care about taking your money. It is incredible how he just gets away doing these things.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything Exemplary Marketing LCC did was the vision that I had. The project hasn’t gone live yet but the feedback that I’ve gotten has been good thus far. The few people I’ve shared it with and investors I’ve met think it’s a great idea and see it as a success.

Recently it was able to go on the Google Play store, but I haven’t been marketing it yet.

The communication is good. If I have a question they get back to me instantly or within the day. We communicate mostly through phone calls and text messages.

The advertising ads and information website they created are really impressive.
