CMT is a Polish based company with international background (Germany and Spain) which provides several complex services in real estate market, starting from architecture and realisation consultancy for small objects like fit-outs, through different stages and services, ending on vast array of management forms in the construction process, from Project Management of projects executed by the General Contractor, Construction Management of activities conducted by various contractors and commissioned by the Investor, up to execution of works as a General Contractor. I'm a senior Project Manager responsible among other duties for digital transformation in the company

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

DD-Ex. is an application which is used for controlling and monitoring defects as a part of Technical Due Diligence and supervision services with the use of mobile devices. The mobile application runs on iOS and Android operating systems. The desktop application runs on Windows. At the moment 4 language versions are available (Polish, English, German and Spanish) - both interface with a database of typical defects.

The user can select the language of the applications interface and reports can be generated in languages other than the chosen interface language of the software. Recorded defects are synchronized with the central database allowing for their further processing on a computer and enabling to generation of reports.

Relevant reports can be sent to a contractor or investor and there is a possibility of interactive (online) updating of the progress and of the removal of defects and their acceptance. The following types of reports can be generated: layout with marked defects, table of defects in MS Excel, several types of picture reports in pdf format, also with the option to be exported to a Word file.

The first version of the DD-Ex application was launched in August 2016. Based on the experience of using it in projects realised by cmT a set of additional requirements was designed, aiming at increasing its efficiency. The development process regarding creating version 2.0 was finished in June 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• As an outcome Eversoft have developed the DD_Ex Appliaction which serves the purpose of controlling and monitoring defects as a part of Technical Due Diligence and supervision services using mobile devices.
• Simply engineers use their mobile devices to check all elements of infostructure, based on digitalised maps and constructions sites’ plans. Central database and plans are being refreshed on the go, so final technical report is within a reach of single click – for all team members, client etc.
• Mobile app runs on iOS and Android operating systems. Desktop application runs on Windows and works online and offline. Recorded defects are synchronized with the central database what allows for their further processing on a computer and enables to generate reports. Relevant reports can be sent to a contractor or investor and there is a possibility of interactive (online) updates regarding the progress of defects removal and acceptance.
• Thanks to the brilliant solution by Eversoft, we've sped up the time of reporting delivery, improved the quality of our services as well as optimized the process itself.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We have manged to come a common conclusion to the idea on how such a product should work. Prototype was ready quite soon, so we had time to test it and improve during several months. Our cooperation was smooth, thanks to mutual understanding and Eversoft’s team approach “Business first”. All projects stages were accurately planned in time and executed. Currently we are still co-operating, Eversoft is responsible for maintenance and software updates.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We found Eversoft’s team ability to step into ours’ shoes and understand our business processes amazing. It was the main reason why, despite Eversoft’s great software development capabilities, DD_EX Application has set a standard of new way of working for our employees.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Eversoft could have done differently?

Truly I cannot see any. Process, starting from the first meeting, through the legal contract, project work, delivery and aftersales service was good. Of course, you can always do better, but I would have to be picky to name the area for improvement
