I’m the director of marketing for an organization that works with and on behalf of brands to bring them closer to the retail industry. We help them access various platforms, including brick-and-mortar shops, direct-to-consumer platforms, and marketplaces.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eventige Media Group?

We needed development resources for a project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eventige has built a website for us on Shopify, taking over the project from a previous agency. We’ve handed off all assets to them to quickly get them onboard. From there, they’ve worked to get the website live within seven business days. 

Moreover, the team has done additional design work. We’ve had some initial design direction to work on, but we didn’t have any artwork or files so their resources have had to create designs for us. Apart from that, they’ve come up with new iconography for our product pages. 

In terms of features and functionality, the website is a traditional direct-to-consumer e-commerce website. A customer can come to the site, browse products, learn about brands, and complete a purchase. At present, Eventige handles the maintenance of the website. We’re still finalizing a couple of last-minute integrations on our end. 

What is the team composition?

We work on a daily basis with four people. A handful of other creative resources does much of the execution work, though we don’t interact with them daily. In total, the team is composed of around eight people. 

How did you come to work with Eventige Media Group?

We came across Eventige because they were linked to one of the e-commerce platforms that we were using. The team was noted as one of the platform’s top partners. We reached out and decided to engage them since they had experience in the web platform we used. At the same time, they offered other services that we also needed, including PPC, email marketing, and general e-commerce marketing.

We’ve spent north of $30,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement started in April 2022, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re not actively driving traffic to the website yet, so I don’t have any hard metrics. However, the speed at which Eventige got the website up and running is great. They’ve built a Shopify website that we can share with our clients within only seven days. The website absolutely meets our expectations. 

How did Eventige Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Eventige project management is great. We collaborate a lot through Figma and communicate primarily through Slack. Our team has 24/7 access to their resources via our Slack channel, and they’re always responsive. They get back to us right away whenever we need any updates. Occasionally, we have Zoom calls for larger conversations. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a strong knowledge of our space — their business acumen is impressive. Eventige brings case studies and always shares the projects they’ve done before. On top of that, they prepare good examples that answer our questions, demonstrating their great experience. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. We’ve been blown away by them since our first call. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have an honest and open relationship with Eventige from the get-go. This might be difficult when you’re dealing with external agencies, but having transparency can help. 

In our case, we came to them needing rescue from our previous agency that didn’t deliver. We wanted them to rush in and save the day. We were truly honest — we told them we were in a tough spot and needed them to step up and deliver right away. This level of transparency has helped us build a great relationship with them.

I’m the co-owner of an art marketplace. My brother, my cousin, and I are the only employees, so we use a lot of freelancers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eventige Media Group?

We started with marketing, but our most extensive project was on UX design and website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, Eventige Media Group did some email marketing for us. They built out a few automation flows with Klaviyo. Then, we decided to use them for our UX project. We had a full planning stage, and they took a while to go ahead with the design work. It was a six-month project; we went back and forth with different variations of the website until we got to where we wanted to be. They were quick to build the functionality and fix everything.

The site was based on Shopify, so they did complete customization inside the Shopify platform. They used a couple of custom apps and some readily-available apps to customize the design.

What is the team composition?

We worked closely with 3–4 people, but up to eight people were in our calls and chats. They used the whole team for the planning and feedback stages. However, our main point of contact was Alexei (Founder & CEO). He was great at knowing what we might need. Additionally, our main point of contact for the site was Peter (Full Stack Developer).

How did you come to work with Eventige Media Group?

We found them through a Google search when we were looking for email marketing services. They were one of the top companies that popped up. After going through their site and meeting with them, we decided to move forward with our engagement.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $90,000, including a few months of email marketing.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2020. The site is ready; we’ll go live tomorrow. However, we’ll do some follow-up projects and conversion rate optimization work.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

While they did our emails and got everything into place, we went from about 15% to about 20% of our revenue coming from emails. On the other hand, the site is now cleaner-looking and updated with the times. It looks brand new, and all the visuals were made on point so everything matched the branding perfectly. They went over everything with a fine-tooth comb and ensured that we looked like a legitimate company.

How did Eventige Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was excellent, and they stayed right on budget. They went a little over on the labor side but didn’t charge it. We mainly used Slack to communicate, but we also did a handful of Zoom calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

First, their knowledge of marketing, SEO, and design was outstanding. They were experts in everything. Also, their talent for graphic design and development was top-notch. We were really impressed with their design work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, the project was seamless.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go into it with a good idea of what would improve your business. Eventige Media Group will run an audit and tell you what they think will help. However, they offer so many services that it’s best if you know which 1–2 things you want to get done.

I'm the owner of a skincare company, Perfec-Tone, that deals with melanin enriched skin and based in the Bahamas.

We were initially looking for a Klaviyo expert but saw websites under their profile that were impressive. This website void was a pain point for us.

We selected based on their data science approach to their work to maximize conversions.

The scope was to create a new website ideal for the international market while showing the PODs for maximum conversions for the USA, Bahamas, Trinidad, and wholesale-connecting each to their countries' bank accounts.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Eventige worked well to provide us with a perfect site. I'm a very demanding and particular person and was very satisfied with the final product, the quality, the thought going into it, and most importantly, the effect on the bottom line.

They outlined a scope, list of deliverables, had weekly check-in meetings, and kept us up-to-date with video explanations of each step.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Eventige's dedication to data science was most impressive. The precise details and consumer psychology preparations made me feel very relaxed about what they were doing because everything had meaning behind it and was not for personal tastes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I am a very demanding person, and although check-ins were great, I could have done more check-ins as I did obsess over this project.

I'm the owner of Blomdahl USA. We're a distributor of some exclusive medical devices that are produced in Sweden. We sell some of our products to physicians, and some products are sold through our website, so we have two different revenue streams.

We're a niche business and our brand is very important to us. We wanted to redesign our website and we were switching to a new platform, so we were looking for a vendor to help us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eventige helped us migrate our website to BigCommerce and handled the design and the development of the new site. They also managed our SEO and PPC campaigns. We continue working with them and giving them more responsibility. This year, they're mostly working on our branding and strategy.

Our internal team is happy with the new design. The traffic to our website has increased and the conversion rate has improved. Our business has more than doubled, and Eventige was definitely a part of that growth.

We have a niche market, but Eventige went above and beyond to develop a deep understanding of our business. Also, they're technically savvy.

I'd encourage people to give them a chance. I've recommended them a few times and everyone has been thrilled with them.

I’m a co-founder of a consumer goods company, handling everything from distribution partners to bottle design, production facilities, and marketing packages.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Eventige?

I wanted better communication with all our constituents, including our working partners. I wanted a platform where they could more easily understand our brand identity, and where I could articulate the values we stand for. I was looking for help doing this through digital media platforms.

Our core product has been in the market for 6–7 years. In the last 12 months, we came out with a higher-end product, and we needed to communicate its identity and values.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eventige developed our point-of-sale material. We do a lot of tastings in stores, as well as tradeshow events where we have tables with our products. We also have printed material, typically one-pagers that talk about the product or the story behind it, as well as technical sheets, namely one-pagers that cover how big a pallet is and how much it weighs, UPCs, and so on.

They worked on all these elements, making a continuous design overlay and modernizing the look of the product. We had base concepts and designs, then Eventige helped us with the color selection and graphics work. They cleaned up the format, especially with the agave drinks. Getting a color match was a huge deal. They delivered high-resolution images at manageable sizes and also made a press kit for us, and we’ve emailed those assets out quite a bit.

The packaging and marketing design worked spawned the need for upgrading the website. I wasn’t too keen on using a WordPress template initially, but they walked me through the different functionalities and capabilities the CMS had. This got me comfortable with the process and the team.

What is the team composition?

We worked with five people in total. Alexei (Founder and CEO, Eventige Media Group) held my hand and walked me through a lot of my concerns. They also introduced us to some collaborators from HubSpot and another third-party, as well as some of the printing people and website hosting providers.

How did you come to work with Eventige?

I did a lot of Google searches and pulled 10 marketing companies. Eventige stated that they grow brands, which was what I was looking for. They also spoke about partnerships and their approach to doing business for the long haul, rather than doing transactional work.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $150,000–$250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them May 2018– February 2019. The work is on pause at the moment, due to our internal strategy and the need to raise capital.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve tracked the metrics internally, based on the frequency of response, which was great at. The visual marketing pieces they put together were excellent—the designer went above and beyond with our bottle renderings. We’ve also received positive feedback for our labels and the other point-of-sale elements.

How did Eventige perform from a project management standpoint?

They were organized and prompt. The project definitely pushed us outside of our comfort zone, which was good for our growth as a brand and company. They pushed the envelope, which kept the project moving along. We were typically the bottleneck, not them. Many of these companies are email- and IM-focused, but I preferred the telephone to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s their people that are most impressive. I called a handful of people looking for the right provider, and I found Alexei’s approach to partnerships and building brands to be most relevant. In particular, he had worked with a whiskey brand, so his firm had relevance to my industry. That was the main selling point, but the rest of the team was great as well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have more attentive and receptive to our needs. When they were pushing us to get outside of our comfort zone, they sometimes pushed too hard. In particular, they wanted us to use HubSpot and highlighted the need for CRM, but those aren’t really practical in our industry. We do all the production on the Mexican side, and we do sales and distribution on the US side, within each state.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Be prepared to bring the assignment to Eventige and let them execute it.

I am the co-owner of Tasty Vapor. We manufacture and sell nicotine and zero nicotine liquids for personal vaporizers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eventige?

When we started in 2009, we sold a lot online and didn’t have much walk-in retail presence, and we chose not to invest in marketing. But our industry was changing rapidly, and our challenge was to keep pace with those changes. We approached them in 2014 to help with online and in-person marketing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed new marketing materials, ranging from a product menu, business cards to a trade show booth and much more. They transferred our website to a new platform and overhauled its design. They also conducted social media marketing, focusing on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

I worked with five or six people.

How did you come to work with Eventige?

A business associate recommended Eventige. We did not consider any other firms because we were impressed following our first conversations with them.

We began working together in 2014, and their latest project for us was completed in April 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have seen our business to consumer web traffic increase around 300 percent. They helped streamline our communication with our retail and wholesale customers, and they provided us with templates for communicating our discounts to online customers.

How did Eventige perform from a project management standpoint?

All of their team members were courteous, professional, and willing to help. I understand they have many clients, but I always felt like their most important one. They used Basecamp, which allowed us to communicate and track projects. They took copious notes of our meetings and uploaded them for the entire group.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were always aware of our project’s status—there was never any guesswork.

I sometimes felt their services were too expensive for our budget.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions and describe your vision. They’re able to bring it to life and improve it.

We’ve had a number of websites over the years, but only with average success. We wanted a dependable vendor to build a brand new e-commerce site for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We built the site using BigCommerce. We selected the template and gave Eventige a general idea of how we wanted the pages to look and feel. They added a number of customizations, including a blog and a page to list daily deals.

They continue to execute our social marketing strategies and provide SEO services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Customers find our online experience very intuitive, and as a result the revenue rose by 230.4%. We also saw an increase in conversion of 154.6% on traffic. The website also receives nothing but compliments from our customers, vendors, and partners.

I've worked with various companies in the past and they’re one of the best. While I’m normally the one pushing a project forward, Eventige is proactive and actually pushes me.

We communicate via Basecamp, Slack, email, and phone.

They truly care about their customers, which means a lot. They feel like a real partner, so I highly recommend them.

Honestly, no. I've been 100% pleased with everything they've done.

They have a deep understanding of the e-commerce world, so listen to their advice. While we were unsure about a couple of their suggestions, they ended up being correct in the end.
