Emerson was hired to help us develop an internal training to communicate our strategic plan and goals. The training needed to include digital and in-person training elements that resonated in all our key markets (EMEA, NAM, LAM, APAC). 
Key Deliverables: 

• Training conceptualization aligned to meet target audience and goals 
• Content development for training which included video scripts, video story boards, facilitator guide, presenter materials, follow-up questionairre 
• Strategic guidance and counsel during the process to assure goals were met

In essence, Emerson Human Capital Consulting knocked it out of the park with our project. The deliverable was well concepted and executed with the right level of support and guidance along the way. We appreciated Emerson's ability to see the big, broad picture of our needs while also delivering on the smallest of details.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Emerson Human Capital Consulting could have done differently?

While we would have appreciated more senior level attention on a regular basis the project ended up where it needed to be and overall our team was very pleased with the outcome.

We have worked with Emerson on several occasions over the last two years to assist with our quarterly Executive Team offsites. We have used them to facilitate our annual strategic planning and budgeting process, team building exercises and helping our broader team by providing concepts and tools to manage competing projects and initiatives. 

• Annual Strategic Planning - Key deliverables: Identifying key trends, SWOT analysis, key strategic initiatives. Their goal was to ensure that the team explored opportunities and remained open to different viewpoints while keeping the conversation focused and focusing on key themes identified during discussions. 
• Team Building -Emerson facilitated a Strengths Finder exercise together with a Lifeline exercise to help a new Executive team bond and understand each others strengths and areas for growth how we as a team can best interact with each other and understand the different perspectives and work styles each brings tot he table. 
• Project Management - Emerson shared concepts and specific tools to help our broader team better manage competing priorities and specific projects including how to prioritize initiatives to ensure alignment with overall company goals. An equally important goal was to help develop the team to consider strategic implications and cross functional dependencies. 

These meetings typically last between 1 to 2 days. In preparation for the meetings we would meet with Emerson several times prior to the meeting to review material and ensure alignment and that our objectives would be achieved.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

For each of the strategy consulting assignments we came away with a clear strategic focus and prioritization for our 1 year goals. Follow up items were clearly captured. My team was energized by the meetings. We have done an excellent job of executing against our plans. Team Building - The facilitator was able to foster an environment where the team was willing to be vulnerable which enabled us to have a much better understanding of each others strengths and working styles. 
The team enjoyed the exercises and got to know each other on a level beyond just work. I would say we have a high performing team and this was the foundation for that upon which we have built. Project Management - The broader team was provided with tools and ways to think about projects, meetings etc. This will take some time as it is a complex challenge but we are well on our way on the journey and the exercise helped the broader team feel heard and valued.

Strong. They took the time upfront to understand our needs and objectives. In preparation for the offsites we would meet over Zoom, or sometimes in person. In between they would keep us apprised of progress via email. The meeting facilitators were always well prepared. Items were delivered on time. Most importantly communication was timely and clear and they understand our business and the opportunities and challenges we face.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They listen well to what we need and develop or adapt materials appropriately rather than coming in with a cookie cutter approach. They "get us". It does help that I know the owner personally and she understands what we are trying to achieve as an organization and what I am trying to achieve in terms of building the right culture developing the right team. The folks at Emerson are smart, seasoned individuals who care about the work they do with clients. 
They are committed to building a great company to assist companies solve problems, capitalize on opportunities and manage change. I strongly recommend them if you are seeking to take your organization to the next level.
