I'm a CTO of company that offers innovative solutions for the industrial and agricultural sectors.

For what projects/services did your company hire EMBIQ, and what were your goals?

We hired them for the project of creating a smart sensor that could be used e.g. in greenhouses for planning and monitoring in real-time employee performance for individual tasks.

EMBIQ created the whole project of the management of the device. Our goal was to create an integrated system that allows collecting the data about the employee in a particular area.

We wanted to use technology based on LoRaWAN in greenhouses. The effect of our work is the device with a system (web app) that will generate reports, maps, and individual tasks in real-time that will improve work in greenhouses.

How did you select EMBIQ and what were the deciding factors?

Someone recommended EMBIQ, we knew that this company is experienced and can work on many solutions for clients so we trusted them.

They had to create a wireless device (gate and tracker with 868 MHz , 915MHz, AS923, and 3,1 – 10,6 GHz frequency) based on LoRa, WiFi, UWB, Bluetooth BLE, LTE GPRS with firmware, and software. EMIBQ did all the R&D, they created a management panel.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with a few EMBIQ’s specialists like frontend, backend, UIX, analytics, PM, architect, DevOps, and small IoT team. It was a good experience because the team was perfect for our project, they were self-reliant.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

EMBIQ’s specialists are very open-minded so it helped us with our project because they had many ideas on how to improve our work.

There were no problems with communication even though a difficult pandemic situation (like home office and so on). We have contact with them all the time, we have some planned calls, we are using some communication channels, we can e-mail them and always get a response.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Specialists from EMBIQ have big knowledge which turned on very helpful on every step of the project. They have a very impressive IoT department. Not every software company has such experienced experts.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At this stage of cooperation, we have no objections. People form EMBIQ showed their commitment and really helped us.

I’m the CEO of qChange. We’re an HR tech company.

We hired EMBIQ to do software development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’re working to create a customized platform for leaders and users of Microsoft Teams. 

What is the team composition?

We work with five people, in total, but have direct contact with Alex (CEO) and a senior project manager. 

How did you come to work with EMBIQ?

I was attending a conference and Alex reached out to meet, but we didn’t end up meeting. I reached out a month later and it made sense timing-wise. I needed a developer and felt he was a good person with strong ethics and values after I spoke with him.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $220,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2019 and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their quality is extremely high. Their team thinks ahead and shows us the opportunities that lay in the future. 

How did EMBIQ perform from a project management standpoint?

Overall, they’ve been really good. From our perspective, we’re on a pretty tight budget and they’re always trying to accommodate it. Sometimes, this means the dates get pushed but it’s to ensure we stay under our budget.

The project and communication are very clear; we have weekly meetings. In fact, one of my teammates has a standing meeting with them almost every day for 15 minutes, so there is really good, clear communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They think outside the box and offer easygoing, open communication. They’re very collegial. If we’re having difficulties, I can voice it and they listen, and vice versa. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes there are communication language breakdowns because they’re an international development house and we’re based in the US. However, that’s to be expected. If I were to point to something, they always do the right thing but they don’t always ask before doing it. They almost do too good of a job, if that’s such a thing. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust them. They have a really strong understanding of technology, but still give them a clear direction of what you need from a design standpoint.

I am Managing Director of software development and data science company for the transportation sector.

For an IoT feasibility study project in the transportation industry. In this our project complemented our ML solution.

We have met thanks to our business partner. I was looking for developers that could help my team on the project and we have chosen EMBIQ out of a group of recommended partners.

They created a feasibility study for our IoT development project. As a result, I got a really helpful recommendation of what was essential for the project including technologies and hardware components.

They prepared for me a list of recommendations for implementation.

Everything was on time, every time I wanted to be informed I could call directly the person who was working with me.

They have real experience with solutions similar to ours, I am impressed with the knowledge they used to recommend us the best solutions for our project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

For now, we have only a positive experience and we are happy we could work together.

We created an application for recording short videos that you can share it with friends and family through social media. The solutions let users connect and discover interesting people and watch the fun things they do.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We decided we want to work with them because of their experience in mobile apps implementation.

EMBIQ created solutions for Android and iOS. They implemented all the functions we needed and made that the whole system worked.

A small team of developers (iOS, Android) and of course I stayed in touch with EMBIQ’s Project Manager who was the leader of the whole team.

The application allows users to record short videos and share them with friends and family via facebook and twitter. In this way, the users can discover interesting people and watch the fun things they do.

They work with one-week sprints so it was very easy to plan work with them. I was updated on what’s going on with the project, they were contacting me via emails and phone calls. The services they provided were of the highest quality.

They proved to be open to our ideas and able to implement them quickly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were working together for some time so it is difficult today to change something if we return to them. EMBIQ is a reliable and trustworthy business partner.

EMBIQ created for our company an e-commerce mobile app for our clients, to make shopping more comfortable and easier.

What were your goals for this project?

To make shopping easier for our clients.

SOLUTION

How did you select EMBIQ?

We heard about the company from some business friends. We trusted them and decided to hire EMBIQ.

We wanted to create a new platform for our online shop. Our plan was to create a mobile application that will be easy to use for our clients during shopping and paying in one place. EMBIQ created the application in React Native technology, and it is available in App Store and Google Play.

What was the team composition?

Team of developers, project manager, UI/UX designer, QA Engineers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The application is available in Google Play and App Store, our customers are using it.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We planned our work mostly through emails and online meetings on Google Meet. EMBIQ kept us updated with every change with the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

EMBIQ’s experience was a deciding factor when we were looking for IT company.

There were some mistakes, I know we could avoid them, but finally, everything was fixed.
