I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Fotografium. Fotografium is Turkey's biggest online camera store.

We hired Eklektika to handle our whole video production worflow from digital commercials to brand promos, Youtube channel management to event videos. Eklektika is our most precious partner on our journey to becoming Turkey's biggest online camera store.

We met Eklektika team when they reached out to us for their high-end video camera and equipment needs. We had a good business relationship since then. When our need for a video agency arose, we reached out to Eklektika and had a meeting that led to this long-lasting partnership with them. Overall, we wanted to have a reliable video production agency to communicate our video needs for our target customer base.

We needed to position ourselves as a premium and reliable online camera store in the market, and video was the most convenient medium for it. We needed video content to educate our customer base on various topics about photography, videography and various equipments. We wanted to be a knowledge and experience hub for each and every one of photo/video enthusiasts in Turkey.

Eklektika has been regularly producing video content for us since 2018. They produce 4 video content on photography/videography topics per month for our Youtube channel. They produce commercials for our digital marketing. They produce event promo videos that we organize with big names as Canon, Sony, Nikon, DJI etc.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Serdar from Eklektika has been very meticulous about streamlining our video production. He has a super organized and solution-oriented team. Sometimes we need to consult with our key brands like Canon, Sony etc. before publishing a video content about their products. Serdar even handled the review/feedback process with them for us by including us in the conversation.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to our partnership with Eklektika, our brand is positioned in exactly where we want. Our trust score among our customer base increased more than %200, hence we see a similar increase in the number of sales and the average value of shopping carts. Our subscribers on Youtube increased from 10K to 131K within 3 years.

As I said, they're very well-organized, responsive and solution-oriented team. They handle our feedbacks, questions and concerns in a quick and timely way. They used Trello, Slack, Google Drive and Vimeo to manage the whole workflow from pre-production to the final video. Great workflow. We even implemented some of Eklektika's workflow for our staff.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their solution-oriented approach. They've gone the extra mile so often to deliver the best possible result.

Not that I can think of.

We needed help with video production for a crowdfunding campaign video.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eklektika Video Production Company helped us create a crowdfunding video for our product launch. Their team was involved in every step of the process, from the brainstorming, scriptwriting, storyboarding, location hunting to the production and post-production stages.

Since our product is innovative and unlike anything else on the market, we worked together in the beginning to explain the important features of the product. Their team successfully understood every single detail and reflected our ideas in the best way possible.

For the post-production phase, Eklektika Video Production Company edited the entire video by condensing it into less than four minutes and applying color correction and grading solutions as well as special 2D and 3D effects. The video is already published and our campaign is successfully completed.

We communicate via WhatsApp and email. Eklektika Video Production Company has satisfactory project management skills — they make sure that everything is organized and brief us on every important detail that leads to the product's completion. When we were shooting the video, they were always prompt and came prepared with backup plans in case the weather was bad.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We've had a lot of agencies turn down our project because of the special equipment needed and the weather constraints we'll have to face for shooting it in December. Eklektika Video Production Company is a professional team that has taken those aspects into account and delivered high-quality solutions to elevate our product. They will go the extra mile without any hesitation in order to get the best results. 

Due to weather and time restrictions, we were filming the video on 30th and 31st of December until 7 PM in the evening. It is very rare to find a team who will put that effort and leave their personal agendas for New Year's Eve to work on your project. This speaks enough for their professionalism and dedication.

They don't just work to meet our requirements — they cooperate so well that we feel like they're part of our own team. We have very high demands when it comes to quality, and they strive to meet and even exceed those every time. Overall, I can confidently conclude that we're highly satisfied with their team's work.

We partnered with Eklektika for their video expertise. Every year Cochlear brings together members of the Cochlear community and Cochlear Family to celebrate, share and learn all around the world.

For our Cochlear Family meeting in Turkey, we hired Eklektika Video Agency to shoot the event, create a highlight video, and many more deliverables in various formats to share on our social media channels.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to have a nice memory from the Cochlear Family event to share with our members, encourage other members to be more active in the community, and increase the participation rates for the upcoming years.

We had already worked with Eklektika on a few projects for our marketing department. We did appreciate the work they put together before, and we decided to go with them for different projects of other departments.

Eklektika team visited the event venue a few days earlier to decide on how many cameras, what lenses, and other equipment to use to truly capture the essence of the family event.

Since there were so many activities in a big event venue, it was a bit challenging for the Eklektika team to catch up and shoot all the activities going on. However, they pulled it off. And they pulled it off very well.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Eklektika video production team on-site consisted of 3 videographers, 1 coordinator, and 1 project manager. They ran the filming phase flawlessly.

Project manager and coordinator were in great harmony with the Cochlear team as well and constantly kept us up-to-date about how the filming is going on.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our team and Cochlear Family members loved the event highlight video and other short deliverables. Highlight video has been great content with the highest engagement rate on our social media platforms up to now.

Our colleagues from the headquarter and other offices all around the world appreciated our videos. It significantly increased our lead generation rates for the 2020 Cochlear Family Event but due to Covid-19, unfortunately, we had to cancel the event.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between Cochlear and Eklektika was flawless thanks to E-mails and Trello. For instant feedback on draft videos, Eklektika generated Vimeo review links for us to view and write our revisions for the videos. Our collaboration was fast and easy.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We really appreciated the calm and expertise Eklektika brought to the family event venue, adapting to changing circumstances and making sure that we got the footage we needed.

Their team was very sensitive in their interactions with the people with hearing difficulties they filmed. Most importantly, the final works were excellent, a real testament to Eklektika's set of skills and expertise.

Eklektika crafted our initial script and vision. Eklektika appointed us a project manager, creative director and video editor for this project. Be it script, moodboard, casting, video editing, motion design, coloring, deliverables in different formats etc. we could deliver our feedback for every step of the project and they were very responsive.

I would describe the communication between the two teams as flawless. Eklektika talked us through exactly what they would need and what they would provide, they were well-organised and professional. They accommodated and executed our input in the editing stages and we couldn’t be happier with the final results.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Since we already worked with Eklektika before, we knew what to expect. They're very professional and fun to work with. They made everything so smooth. No communication issues. Professional approach. They know how to make you happy. Most importantly, they know how to keep you happy during the whole process.

I’m a video producer at BuzzFeed. We’re a media company that has numerous offices around the world, and I’m primarily based in the Los Angeles, California office. I produce content for our YouTube channel which also gets published on our main website, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts. We have a collective following and audience of around 30 million. My job takes me around the world and I make fun and exciting projects.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eklektika Video Production Company?

Buzzfeed doesn’t traditionally produce too much travel-oriented content the way I have. When I wanted to film something while I traveled overseas in Turkey, our company didn’t have the resources to send a crew with me. I needed a team to help me on the ground, speak the language, become handlers, and help me acquaint myself with the people there.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had an all-encompassing relationship with Eklektika Video Production Company. I was set to film two videos during my stay in Istanbul for over two days. The team got in touch and helped me prepare beforehand. For day one, we filmed at a Turkish hammam, a local bathhouse. The team coordinated and made sure that our shoot would run as smoothly by communicating with the contacts in their language.

Eklektika Video Production Company then helped me shoot the second video at Grand Bazaar, which is one of the largest and oldest markets in the world. The team set me up for the preproduction of that hectic shoot. They operated cameras and sound equipment during the shoot.

The team made sure that everything was set and that I understood where we were going. This was evident on the second day, which was a run and gun guerrilla-style shoot. Because they knew the area, they led me through the right places during the shoot.

They not only helped with pre-production, but they were on set with me with their whole team. They served as a jack of all trades; they did translation work and other tasks related to the shoot’s needs.

What is the team composition?

A team of three worked there with me and my primary contact was Serdar (Co-Founder). The budget I had wasn’t a lot and that was indicated on the job listing I posted. I thought that I would only work with 1–2 people but they were willing to work with my budget and gave me a team of three. 

How did you come to work with Eklektika Video Production Company?

I posted a job listing on ad boards online and they were the ones that stood out because they enthusiastically responded.

How much have you invested with them?

My budget was $300. Typically, Buzzfeed regularly produces content, and depending on the project, our budgets aren’t astronomical for this reason. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The project ran through late June—July 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’m thrilled with the results. The first video that we filmed is my highest performing video for Buzzfeed. It got around four million views on Youtube and it encompassed a fun look into the Turkish bathhouse culture.

The team’s eagerness and expertise were shown on the set — they handled the shoot with ease and they made my job easier. I’m indebted to the team and I speak highly of them because I had a great experience.

How did Eklektika Video Production Company perform from a project management standpoint?

They stuck with me during a late-night shoot and they never complained. They did a great job in terms of project management. Eklektika Video Production Company did a lot of pre-production beforehand, which they didn’t even need to do. I didn’t want them to overextend themselves considering the budget but they were happy to do so.

All in all, their project management was great and our communication took place electronically leading up to the shoots.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Eklektika Video Production Company's ability to alleviate a lot of pressure from a travel shoot impressed me. Shooting at a different place with a different culture and language is difficult. On top of that, I didn’t know the policies and filming restrictions, and luckily, they made it seem easy for me. I focused on delivering the creatives and they also helped me with that.

I have worked with many crews and I could tell when a crew is eager because they take initiative. Eklektika Video Production Company took the initiative and went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was as pleasant and as successful as possible. 

The three team members were fun to work with and I’m happy I had the opportunity to work with them. They even took me to a delicious Turkish restaurant before the shoot; they were a great crew to work with. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I couldn't think of anything they could have done better. Truthfully, I only worked with them for a short amount of time and there were no issues. Maybe if I worked with them longer, there may have been but overall, I’m happy and I wouldn’t change anything on the engagement.

Once we selected this partner, they started working with us to ger to know our goals of video recording. They worked with us to make a video and audio recording of our presentation on marketing event in Istanbul in September 2020. The end-product is a set of some footage for our video editor. Their team provided one static camera shooting the presenter from a wide angle and a second camera shooting the presenter from a closer distance. And they are attached one wireless 2 mic to the our speakers from Realweb Partners and Google.
