 Our experts spam multiple fields of expertise, from data analytics, devops, networking, programming, soft skills and many more, questions are raised like; "How to create pivot tables in excel", "how do I manage resources in AWS", through to "I'd like to understand how to manage conflict in my team more effectively". I am the founder and we chose Divami to help bring our vision to life.

The workflows and personas have remained the same, but the team has made them easier, reduced the number of clicks, and enhanced the UI. The team uses Figma for the designs.

It's still an ongoing engagement, so I don't have any customer-facing metrics to share at this point.

Divami Design Labs has mostly adhered to the timelines we’ve committed to the project. The team has also stayed within budget. We communicate through Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Notion.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been impressed with the involvement of Divami Design Labs’ stakeholders, from the founders to the senior team members. We’ve had a lot of calls with the founders, and they’ve been involved in the research phase. This has been good because it sets the direction for the project, and the entire team gets involved when execution starts. The team has also been very accommodating to the feedback we’ve given them.

Moreover, Divami Design Labs’ intentions are good, and they’re skilled at what they do. The team thinks through the problem statement before solving it, and they invest a lot of time in understanding the problem before execution starts. When top management gets involved in your project, it always starts on a good note.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Divami Design Labs could improve their project management. While the team has delivered on time, we’ve had to push them a lot from our side to meet the deadlines. We’ve had to raise the flags a week or two in advance so that things can be done on time. Overall, the team could do some more internal checks so that deliveries happen on time.

What we found most impressive and unique about Divami is the exceptional calibre of their team members and their extensive working experience. The individuals we collaborated with from Divami showcased a deep understanding of UX/UI design and front-end development. Their expertise and knowledge were evident throughout the project, and they consistently provided valuable insights and recommendations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Divami Design Labs could have done differently?

While our experience with Divami Design Labs was generally positive, there are a few areas where we believe they could improve or have done things differently.

Firstly, during the initial stages of the project, there were some discrepancies and conflicts in the project management process. Clearer communication and more proactive steps to address these issues could have helped establish a smoother workflow from the start.

Lastly, while we understand that circumstances may have impacted timely delivery, clearer expectations and regular updates on project timelines would have been appreciated. Improved transparency in terms of delivery schedules and any potential delays would have helped us plan and manage our expectations more effectively.

We needed help building a mobile app and its backend system.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Divami Design Labs provides mobile app development and UI/UX design services for us. Regarding the process, we’ve started by explaining our whole concept to them, what kind of services we provide, what type of brand we want to create, and what our vision is. They’ve also gone into their user research process to develop a UI/UX proposal, wireframes, and a branding suggestion.

Regarding technologies, they’re building everything on Flutter, and the app will be available for Android and iOS. For the design, they use Figma and Adobe Photoshop. In terms of the website, they’re using WordPress and Node js.

I’ve mainly worked with around six members of Divami Design Labs’ team, including their main tech lead, their main design lead, a couple of mobile app and web developers, a backend developer, and one of their co-founders.

Divami Design Labs has given us the exact design we’ve asked from them. We’ve requested a logo reflecting our brand’s character, and they’ve given us a very nice logo. Overall, we’re delighted with how they think regarding design.

Divami Design Labs’ team genuinely tries to solve our problems and take ownership of what is happening. They also make great proposals and have great design thinking and logic. Regarding communication and tools, we use Google Meet, Zoom calls, and Google Drive to share information.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Divami Design Labs’ biggest strength is their ability to understand the vision of the product we’re building. We can find freelance designers very easily, but when we work with Divami Design Labs, their thinking is far deeper and wider, and there is much more empathy with what we’re trying to create. Thus the results in terms of design are different and fresh.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve the coordination between their internal teams because they are growing, and their clients are also increasing. Still, I’ve told them that, and I know they’re already working on it.

The core focus around the segment we are in and their deep understanding of technology and the user behaviour, considering the volume of work done by DIvami, has been instrumental in the decision making.

The project started with deep focus on understanding the needs of the application ins question. We wanted something to be very tester centric and not developer centrics (as is the case with the existing products in the market). After the initial walkthru, the team performed a detailed gap analysis of what we already developed and what the market offerings look like.

They came up with a plan to create the UI/UX that would be enabling the testers to optimally achieve what they desire in the API testing scenario.Not only this, the team also helped in setting standards of design and also SaaSifying the offering and the features that were needed. With regular design sprints, we are not closer than ever before to hit the market with certainty of success.

We needed a team that could bring the right design ideas and understand our concept, and we have that in Divami Design Labs. In most cases, we don’t have to explain much to them because they understand concepts thanks to their knowledge and background. Since they have relevant experience, they don’t only rely on us to feed them ideas, which has made the project very interactive. 

Moreover, they’ve given us various design options for us to choose from, and all of them have been above par. Divami Design Labs is also actively engaged in the project; they’re so serious about the work that they give me confidence and comfort. Therefore, we look forward to working with them on new feature designs. 

How did Divami Design Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very meticulous about presenting their work. We mostly use phone calls and WhatsApp for communication and meet three times a week to review Divami Design Labs’work. I’m in regular contact with the project manager and designers; all three are involved in every call. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Divami Design Labs’ commitment and punctuality are awesome. They bring a lot of experience to the project and go about their work in a very methodical and organized way. Overall, the team is very easy to work with and goes above and beyond to help us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although we would love to develop the app with Divami Design Labs to reduce go-to-market time and make the process smoother, we’ve had to move the development offshore due to the high cost of their development services. However, this might be outside of Divami Design Labs’ control to improve because the price of development in India is quite high nowadays.

With any development partner you work with, ensure that your scope of work is well-defined. This approach enables you to keep a healthy interaction with your development partner so that everyone is on the same page regarding deliveries, milestones, and costs.

I am the product manager leading the strategic planning, product management, roadmap development at Nailbiter and worked closely with the Divami team during our engagement.
