We were looking for a development partner to help us build a cloud-based SaaS mobile application.

We provide product specifications and the necessary documentation to eEngine Software House, and they devise our MVP's features and functionalities based on those. Each completed solution is sent to our team for our review and approval, and we then launch the deployment stage once their team has applied modifications.

eEngine Software House's team was recommended to us — while we interviewed other agencies, we decided to onboard their team because of their strong willingness to accommodate our needs and schedule.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're satisfied with our continued partnership with eEngine Software House's team. We're currently nearing 600 app users, and 150 of those are dental practice customers with paid subscriptions. They've met all our requirements, and we plan to keep engaging their team for development-related work.

How did eEngine Software House perform from a project management perspective?

We communicate via Slack and periodic meetings and rely on Trello for project management. eEngine Software House has responsible project managers that handle and organize everything for us — we never have to worry about anything because they always come up with comprehensive action plans.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

They're a flexible and accommodating team that's always capable of bringing our ideas to life.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner and CEO of Everuptive Group, an HR digital product company. We have the busiest website in Poland where employers promote themselves and do their branding campaigns. We’re the owner of a B2B e-learning platform that helps other companies to digitalize their internal and external training. 

We also have a cloud staffing recruitment platform where we gather more than 100 recruiters from all over the world and connect employees and candidates using those recruiters.

What challenge were you trying to address with eEngine Software House?

We needed to automize our processes. We struggled with the hiring and retention of IT people, so we decided to look for a partner who could provide us with experts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provide us with support in all our products. We give them the roadmap of new features in our products and they develop them — they also support us in the automation of the processes. They integrate different tools together so that we can use them in an automated way. Every month, we discuss a plan, and their job is to deliver the plan.

Last month, they changed the whole interface on one of our products. Now, they’re working on some features that will support us in making groups of employees that will have the same type of training. They just finished the notification feature and they’re also developing a very important feature in our platform, that enables employers to provide different learning parts for employees. 

Now they’re working on deadlines which will let our client set deadlines for the specific training for their employees. Sometimes they support us when we have a big meeting with a big prospect. They will be there with us to answer technical questions regarding roadmap implementations.

They do some tasks for marketing that may be related to SEO, but it’s not their responsibility — they just support other people in the company who are in charge of marketing. When they implement new features, it also has to be mobile-friendly.

What is the team composition?

There are four people including a project manager. They have a team of front- and backend developers and UI/UX experts.

How did you come to work with eEngine Software House?

I’m not sure how we met them. I believe we did the research for software houses in Poland and we talked to several. We decided to do a small project with them three years ago and we were satisfied — and a year and a half ago, we came back to ask them to support us long-term and be our IT department. We chose them because they’re very fair people. They’re client-oriented, have fair prices, and provide quality work.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $6,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2020, and our partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re very flexible, efficient, and they really engage and deliver in our business. We trust that they’ll deliver the features on time which is very important to me — all the managers in the company are very satisfied with the cooperation with them as well. Moreover, we have a very high net promoter score (NPS) metric, and our users are satisfied with the new interface. 

I think we have over 60 NPS. Sometimes there are bugs that our users let us know about, and if I call them on a Saturday about a bug, they will fix it on the weekend — they’re very responsive and engaged.

How did eEngine Software House perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is excellent. They deliver on time and we have weekly updates with their project manager. We use Trello to manage the project and our day-to-day communication is through email. They respond quickly, but when it’s of a more complex nature, I call them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their engagement is impressive. I can call them on the weekend and they’ll answer their phone. If it’s urgent, they’ll fix it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m really satisfied.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You should work with them quickly because I believe they’ll continue to get more popular. It might not be possible to work with them in the future because they’ll be too busy with clients and projects — treat them as a part of your team.

When you allow them to come into your company and understand the company better, they will become like your internal IT department. Trust them from the beginning and treat them as employees.

I'm a Director of Utilities Manager Limited. Utilities Manager is an automated monitoring and targeting portal which is widely used in the UK water Sector by water retailers including WaterPlus and Business Stream (largest two businesses in this sector)

We required a full service Software House to maintain and expand a working software solution built by a solo software engineer.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I'd previously worked with one of their team on another project and had confidence in the individual concerned to provide an exceptional service in the context of a Software House.

They accepted a custom-built .net project and have maintained the system with enhancements and additional features as requested. At present the Utilities Manager Software is being migrated to .net core

Utilities Manager Limited is now established as the market leading water monitoring platform in the UK market. Working with UK water retailers have achieved year on year growth in licences issued of c.40% Since working with eEngines end user accounts to adapt our platform include blue-chip businesses in all sectors of the UK economy

The company is dynamic and engages with us as a partner business.

The overall solution delivered is world-class, occasionally in a long project tensions around outcomes and scheduling arise. These are always resolved

Ferax is a large company in central Poland that serves fashion manufacturing and retail companies. I set up an e-commerce store.

What challenge were you trying to address with eEngine Software House?

We were searching for a business partner, not just a development team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They were responsible for setting up the infrastructure between our ERP and CRM systems, while creating the entire e-commerce store.

We had to integrate the systems, create the e-commerce platform, and manage it. Their framework uses multiple technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, and PHP. It’s their own technology, not an open system. They combined a bit of everything to build our platform.

Although we had previously been struggling, the website’s design took maybe five days with their help. Their graphic designer talked with my fashion industry designers and communicated our ideas to the developers.

Our chief technology officer had a lot of questions and wanted to develop a link between our ERP, CRM, and e-commerce store. Our ERP is Microsoft Dynamics. We use mainly the Microsoft software in the entire company.

They found a specialist who solved the e-commerce problem and helped redesign the link between the systems. It took him hours to make it smoother, faster, and more efficient.

He was astounding. They have great people. If they’re not delivering what we expect, they can bring in new amazing people from the IT industry that we would never find. As a software house, they have access to dozens of people with narrow specializations.

What is the team composition?

They have a core team of 15 developers but bring on additional people (such as graphic designers) when needed.

How did you come to work with eEngine Software House?

For six months, I searched for a company that worked with Magento, open source software, and dedicated platforms. I chose them because we don’t need to explain much to them, just give them a development plan. Although we use normal language, they easily understand what I want and value. That is amazing.

Other agencies used a queue method. If I wanted to change something, I would need to jump into the queue and wait weeks for them to begin development. eEngine Software House can implement a new system or marketing platform within 24 hours. Since e-commerce is very volatile, that was important to me. Sometimes content works for a month or two; sometimes, other tools are better.

We started working together in July 2014 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When I came to the company, the e-commerce store was terrible. Its annual revenue was $200,000. Three and a half years after we started, we closed the year with $4 million in revenue. They did a great job.

How did eEngine Software House perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re fantastic from a Polish point of view. From an American point of view, I give them a 7.5. They use Trello and Excel. Everything is detailed, but they could improve a bit. If I were a different client, I’d opt for another project management software.

At one point they hired a new account manager. After three weeks of cooperation, it wasn’t working. I told them, and within 24 hours a new manager was assigned to my project. They respond very quickly. If we don’t like someone or the style of the cooperation is inadequate, they make changes right away. Their speed in finding solutions is amazing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everyone on the team understands how important the job is. Our website is well-known in Poland and is visited by 18,000 people every day. Over three-and-a-half years, we have had two problems that brought the website down for about two hours.

They’re very collaborative and motivated, and they never put off a problem. They’re a great team from a small town. Rather than expanding to hundreds of developers, they prefer to stay the way they are. They are large enough to have access to prominent developers but small enough that everyone knows each other.

They included the human factor. Rather than seeing problems, they see opportunities to develop their own system. That was one of the main reasons behind our decision to work with them. Whenever I send them a large email about changes I need, they get excited about it.

Their communication and delivery are fantastic. They’re flexible with payment and understand our fluctuating revenue. They’re great engineers, great managers, and great human beings. I consider them my business partners. Our e-commerce store wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I can’t expect software engineers to perfectly understand the very small e-commerce fashion niche. They’re very unique. As we developed the website, I had to give them very detailed specifications. When I do that, they deliver. They couldn’t do any more than they’ve already done.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Choose the communication platform that you’re going to use. If you’re creating e-commerce, Trello is enough. If you are a giant company, Trello won’t be able to accommodate everyone.

Provide very detailed specifications of the work. Know what you want. Their team can advise you on the backend and IT development, but not on content.

They’re not cool, preppy fashion designers, but they will do exactly what you expect them to do. Don’t expect that they’ll create a perfect platform. From 1-10, it’ll be a six. The customer must specifically understand what they are searching for.
