ECommerce Partners is an ecommerce development agency for B2B and DTC brands, certified on Shopify Plus and BigCommerce BigDev, based in Tenafly, New Jersey. Founded in 1998, we are a certified Shopify Plus Partner and a BigCommerce BigDev Certified Partner. We specialize in commerce that is operationally complex: Shopify Plus builds, B2B and wholesale implementations, platform migrations from Magento, Adobe Commerce, WooCommerce and legacy systems, custom app and API development, and ERP integrations with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Acumatica and AS400. Our clients are small to mid-market brands running B2B alongside direct-to-consumer, managing large or technical catalogs, or connecting commerce to an ERP. Recent work includes a five-storefront international Shopify Plus architecture for luxury skincare brand Chantecaille; a Magento to Shopify Plus migration of a 50,000+ SKU B2B catalog for QC Supply, with a custom B2B buyer portal and the Shopify side of its Dynamics NAV integration, taking Google PageSpeed from 33 to 77 on mobile and 36 to 94 on desktop; a replatform to BigCommerce Enterprise for fintech PayJoy with a custom financing checkout that runs 40% faster than the implementation it replaced; and eight years running three BigCommerce sites for Richloom, a fabric manufacturer founded in 1957, fed hourly from two ERP databases.
We build on both Shopify Plus and BigCommerce and recommend the platform that fits the requirements, including when that is the one we do less business on. Senior developers do the work, with no handoffs to juniors.

ECommerce Partners provides Shopify development for a women's apparel retailer. They update the client's Shopify theme to support combined listings, build a checkout rule, and more.
The merged product pages went live and showed the right stock for every color. ECommerce Partners scoping with an estimate, building on a preview theme, and waiting for the client's sign-off before going live. The team understands the client's theme and explains limitations in plain terms.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and position.
I am the Ecommerce director of Mixology clothing company
Describe what your company does in a single sentence.
I am the Ecommerce Director at Mixology, a women’s apparel retailer on Long Island with stores and a Shopify site. ECommerce Partners has been our Shopify development team for several years and I took over the relationship in 2026.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What specific goals or objectives did you hire ECommerce Partners to accomplish?
They handle our custom Shopify theme and anything we need built or fixed on the site. Since I took over, the main project was updating the theme to support Shopify’s Combined Listings so we could merge same-style products into one page with color swatches. We had tried it ourselves and the storefront showed in-stock colors as sold out, which turned out to be a theme requirement on Shopify’s side, not our product data. They made the theme changes, set up the first products and walked us through the rest. They are now building a checkout rule so discount codes cannot stack on our bundle pricing ahead of our bundle relaunch. Looking at what they built before my time, it is most of how the site works today: Loyalty program on 99minds: the landing page, the rewards and points section in customer accounts, birthday capture at signup, automatic enrollment when someone creates an account, and tagging signups that come from the QR codes in our stores so we can segment them in Klaviyo. Bundles: a custom bundle picker that splits each bundle into its component SKUs at checkout so inventory stays accurate, after the off-the-shelf bundle apps could not do it. Cart and checkout: a custom mini cart with gift wrap and related products that let us drop the Rebuy app, the checkout extensibility upgrade, and the free shipping threshold messaging. Collection and product pages: grouped color swatches with the price and image following the selected color, color filters that only show colors that exist, final sale badges with the logic for which products sink to the bottom and which do not, compare-at pricing on the collection grid, a brands page, Shop the Look on the homepage, size guide placement, recently viewed and recommended products. Integrations and admin: connecting our Loop returns portal to the catalog, a Shopify Flow that tags draft orders with the store that created them, GA4 troubleshooting, and the alt-text convention we use to tie product images to colors. Housekeeping: page speed work, removing a dead accessibility widget, an ADA audit with estimates by section, search redirects, and a steady stream of small fixes, usually turned around in a few days.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The merged product pages went live and show the right stock for every color. When I asked about the discount rule they came back within two days with a recommendation, the tradeoffs spelled out and an estimate, which is what I need to make a decision.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
They scope things with an estimate first, build on a preview theme, and wait for my sign-off before anything goes live. They work in Basecamp with us and make backups before touching the live theme. When I was out for a week they held the release rather than pushing it without a review on our side.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They understand our theme better than we do and they explain Shopify’s limitations in plain terms, so I know what is our problem, what is Shopify’s and what is theirs.
Are there any areas for improvement or something ECommerce Partners could have done differently?
Nothing significant so far.
