• We began services with Earned Media with the primary goal to get just one new/media mention per month. During the engagement, the team got us brand mentions most months, and sometimes, in some instances, they were short a month. If they ever did fall short in one month, they always caught it up pretty quickly.
• The SEO campaign had three elements (content optimization, link building, and ongoing consultations) — with the goal to rank our main keyword on page 1 of Google Search before the next crypto bull run begins.
• Currently, in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, we rank in position 2 for our main keyword and position 1 for the U.K.

We began services with Earned Media with the primary goal to get just one new/media mention per month. During the engagement, the team got us brand mentions most months, and sometimes, in some instances, they were short a month. The SEO campaign had three elements (content optimization, link building, and ongoing consultations) — with the goal to rank our main keyword on page 1 of Google Search before the next crypto bull run begins. Currently, in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, we rank in position 2 for our main keyword and position 1 for the U.K.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We primarily communicated with the Head of Link Building, who manages a team of 20+ link builders.

Earned Media used a Google Spreadsheet for reporting that contained all live and pending links. I like their transparency; I could check the spreadsheet to see what work was in progress. In terms of communication, we used a mix of email, Telegram, and Zoom to communicate. For the most part, it was pretty organized.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Quality, results, and price. It’s pretty hard to find a reputable SEO agency that can deliver quality at reasonable prices and get insane results. The most impressive thing was our Google rankings. Our main goal was to rank on page 1 of Google Search for our primary keyword within 12 months (before the next crypto bull run), and they did it in less than 6 months, which puts our company in a really good position from a sales and marketing perspective.

We also got a lot of SEO recommendations that were outside the scope of work. For example, they recently did an E-E-A-T audit on our website, highlighting strategic things our main competitors are doing, with technical changes we can make to our website to maintain our competitive advantage.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Earned Media could have done differently?

They could add more link-building and content building as more is always better. Understablly this isn't easy.

We hired Earned Media to assist us with implementing an SEO program to grow our organic traffic, particularly for non-brand terms.

Earned were recommended to us from an industry contact. Nick and Shawn were very approachable from the outset, demonstrating clear subject matter expertise. They also had financial services industry experience which made the decision to move ahead with them easy.

Our engagement began with a research and discovery phase where we deep dived into the competitive landscape and established clear goals regarding queries to rank for and how to achieve top 3 positions. We agreed on an approach encompassing content production, onsite and offsite optimisation.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have achieved considerable organic traffic growth, now ranking high for a number of key high intent non-brand terms.

Nick and Shawn communicate regularly with progress updates and monthly reporting. They are flexible in their ways of working and happy to work with our internal comms & project management tools.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their level of professionalism and overall knowledge within the industry stands out. They put in a lot of due diligence before getting started, and it's ensured we've had a smooth project. Also, I really appreciate their follow-through and willingness to deliver.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

While not a criticism, I'd love to see a few more proactive ideas for our business. Also, the response times to some messages/inquiries has a little room for improvement - even if just to acknowledge and then follow up at a later stage.

I'm the CMO of Gathar – Australia's largest marketplace for booking amazing private chefs and caterers. We connect people who love to cook with people who love to entertain (but hate the hard work that comes with it!)

For what projects/services did your company hire Earned Media, and what were your goals?

Now in year four of our startup journey, we have gathered many learnings and recognised the impact SEO has had on our early success. Organic is our biggest traffic driver and highest converting channel. In addition to our always-on SEO work with Earned Media, we wanted to engage Nick and his team on a project to identify areas for improvement that would hopefully result in a notable organic growth spike. Within this time, we also agreed to 'double down' on offsite link-building to improve our DR by the end of 2021.

From our existing relationship with Nick, we knew Earned Media was the right fit for this project. Nick has taken the time to understand our unique business needs and offers advice that he himself would take if he were the business owner.

This 6-month project was broken into key milestones, delivered by Nick and Shawn. This included in-depth keyword research, a full site architecture review, delivery of insights and actionable recommendations, and reviews after actions were taken to assess their impact.

For this project we worked with Earned Media's founder, Nick, and marketing partner, Shawn.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since implementing these SEO improvements, we have clearly seen a spike in organic traffic as well as DR improvements (we exceeded our goal of achieving a DR of 33-35 by EOY, hitting 40 in December). We are also now seeing Gathar index for 105,000 additional searches per month (over 500 new queries) since these SEO recommendations were actioned.

During this project, we had a constant open dialogue with the Earned Media team. I had a high level of trust that Nick and his team could work with various Gathar stakeholders and would loop in the right parties at the right time via email, Slack, or Hangouts for efficiency. All milestones were met on time and we were able to start seeing improvements within the project period.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There was a great deal of complexity involved around the site architecture review, as our platform is custom-built. Shawn worked independently with our CTO and platform creator as development tasks were rolled out to meet his recommendations. It was invaluable to have their team lead our technical conversations.
